Basically very good

The product is performing as advertised. The only reason I would not give five stars is some confusion regarding approval from the county wherein the company installed a slightly different product from what was on the plan which resulted in a delay in turning on the installation which cost me some money. There was also a delay on the company's part to one of my communications which led to my having to send another email requesting a response.

Super Smooth

Had a very smooth experience from start to finish with SCSP. During installation, one panel was accidentally broken. But the installers corrected the issue with no trouble at all. The employees seemed to take pride in making the installation "flow" with the contours of the house while still keeping everything in code. The code inspector told me that this was the best job he has inspected. He also gave high marks because the installers used the very latest fuses (with sight windows to determine their status). Very impressed.

Excellent experience

I was linked with multiple installers. South Carolina Solar Project (SCSP) was the only company that sent a representative to my house; others scheduled an appointment and then converted to phone only consultation. When Jon from SCSP came out on initial consultation, he spent several hours, including inspecting my attic to detail exact plans for project. After signing the contract, system was installed in record time (just over 1 month from time of contract to time of turning system on), given all permits and inspections required. Install was clean and professional. When installers had to enter attic thru my house the were respectful of taking shoes off and placing coverings over rug where ladder was placed. Installers were willing to explain system and wiring during install process. Additionally, I was able to support a local company. Highly recommend South Carolina Solar Project.

Good Program Management and Install Team

Company recommended by a friend. Once started the installation moved very quickly. Had an initial failure of an Inverter which was resolved within a couple of weeks. Additional communications equipment was added giving more insight into system operation and function. The company has been very involved with monitoring system operation and insuring it is functioning correctly. I have been very pleased with the project managers oversight and communication regarding system operation.

I have always been interested in solar energy and Ian Neville from South Carolina Solar Project showed me just how efficient solar power is. He came to our home and explained in great detail all aspects of adding solar to our home including costs, financing, engineering, installation and warranty. The system SCSP offers is not made in China...a great selling point for me. After we signed all the paperwork and were approved, we were introduced to Natalie Perrott, our project manager. She walked us through the entire process with emails as the project moved through the various stages. We didn't have to do anything...she contacted the county for the work permits, contacted our electric utility and even notified our HOA. Materials delivery was coordinated and we were notified when the system was to be delivered. Installation was expert and timely and within a week we were saving money. If you're considering solar you only need to talk with South Carolina Solar Project.

My Solar installation experience

Solar energy was in the air back 6 months ago: multiple Solar cold calling, advertising at internet, knocking at my door. So, I gave in and decided to take a look at Solar business and listen. I talked in person and by phone to four sales persons from three different companies. One of them, Daniel Moore from the SC Solar Project impressed me with his competence, honesty and having best customer’s interests in mind. He shared with me with nuts and bolts of complex Solar project (which could include additional subprojects, like tree removal, roof fixing or replacement, attic insulation etc.…), and helped me to choose best loan terms according to my life’s plans. As result, I chose his Company. Company gave me outline of project’s phases and timeline: getting permits, installation, activation, system monitoring, etc. They communicated with me through all stages of project and fulfilled all their promises. I had on back of mind thought what if after such expensive investment something will not work? After activation I got from Company link to monitor myself on Internet my whole Solar system including performance of each individual panel. Less than one month, according to it System generated energy to save more than 1000 lbs of CO2 emission, which is equivalent of planting more than 8 trees. “Green” person in me is very happy to this positive impact on our planet. With this system performance, my electricity bill I expect will be reduced at least by 75%. In my last bill I noticed, generated energy by Solar for the 5-7 days it was active (of last billing cycle) was credited by Dominion. With Federal and State Credits, installing Solar on roof of your house is a wise choice (if you are planning to live in this house at least ten years - this is my thinking). You should choose company and sales person who has your best interests in mind, will guide and educate you.

I wanted to go with a local installer not one of the big box Companys and I am glad I went with John from South Carolina solar project they made the whole process a breeze and took care of everything start to finish!

Project completed and performing as expected.

As a retired electrical engineer, I was familiar with recent solar panel advances in technology and reliability. After looking at several installers, I chose SCSP as they provided a comprehensive analysis and proposal that met my requirements of using a local SC company that provided high performance panels and "smart" inverters, industry leading warranties, and local monitoring and service. The project was expertly handled with their coordination of the POA, municipality, power company, and inspections. Solar production has been as we expected and easily covers our current energy needs. We are very pleased with South Carolina Solar Project and highly recommend you consider their solar project offerings.

Had the panels up for a couple of months and it has been a gray fall so production is less than expected; however, the installation crew did a great job and we will see how things work when we have an outage. Sorta (not really) looking forward to that. :-)

Excellent Service, Fantasic Results

I have never been so pleased from the service I received. They walked us through each step and what date it would happen. They made promises that I didn't think they would be able to keep, but they did!!! They system has performed just as they said it would. My electric bill went from $300 a month to $20 a month. Absolutely a very customer based company that cares

We met with another company prior to the SCSP and also looked at several web sites. The staff at the SCSP was honest with us, did not try to pressure us or attempt to bait us with "free" or "extra" add-ons in order to get us to sign with them. Jon, our project manager, came to the appointment with a prepared estimate designed specifically for our home and displayed excellent product and process knowledge. He was on top of the whole project and kept us up to date at all times. He always responded to our questions immediately and helped every step of the way. Their installers were very kind, friendly and efficient. This family owned and operated company really cares about the work they are doing. I would choose them again!

After meeting with several other solar panel companies, I chose SCSP to “go Solar”. I felt very comfortable with Jonathan at each of our meetings to discuss this project. South Carolina Solar Project did a great job!!!!

I met with a couple of the larger corporate solar companies and got the used car salesman feeling after hearing their sales pitch. Jon was knowledgeable, patient, and down to earth. He took the time to design a system that fit my needs perfectly and has performed as advertised. The install was done in a day and the workmanship was flawless. Jon even lined up a crew to trim and remove any trees that blocked the panels. I have recommended this company to friends and family and will continue to do so.

Jon provided answers to questions I didn't even know I had! The entire process was explained to me in terms I could understand. I am certainly pleased with an electric bill of less than $30/monthly for my a/c needs. And I most certainly love the environmentally friendliness of passive energy sources. So happy that I decided to move forward and escape the upward spiral of electric costs. I produce all that I use, so I don't need to worry about costs going up.
