On March 9, 2026, I spoke with you, Rueben, regarding an individual named Nick Ochoa, who represented himself as a sales representative for Solarmax. Mr. Ochoa worked directly with my wife and me during our decision to purchase solar services for our home. During our discussions, Mr. Ochoa represented that if we signed with Solarmax, the company was offering a promotional incentive that included the installation of a patio, valued at approximately $30,000, along with a $1,000 payment to the homeowner. At the time, we had already signed an agreement with another solar provider. However, Mr. Ochoa strongly encouraged us to switch, emphasizing that Solarmax offered a superior warranty and that the promotion was available if we chose to move forward with Solarmax. He also represented that Solarmax had sent him directly to our home to determine whether there was anything he could offer to earn our business. Based on these representations and our understanding that Mr. Ochoa was acting as an employee and authorized representative of Solarmax, we decided to cancel our agreement with the other provider and proceed with Solarmax. When the time came for installation, we experienced repeated delays and were given multiple explanations that ultimately resulted in no progress. As a result, I contacted Solarmax directly for assistance. After sending an email requesting next steps, I received a return phone call on March 10, 2026. During that conversation, I was informed that similar situations had occurred with multiple customers over the past thirty days. I was also told that Solarmax had recently cut ties with Mr. Ochoa and that he was not an employee but rather an independent contractor. This information directly contradicts how Mr. Ochoa represented himself during our interactions. At no point did he disclose that he was operating independently or outside the authority of Solarmax. Throughout the entire transaction, he presented himself as a Solarmax representative acting on behalf of the company. Regardless of his employment classification, Solarmax benefited from the sales generated through his representations, and he conducted business while portraying himself as acting on behalf of Solarmax. Based on the promises made during the sales process, we are requesting that Solarmax honor the promotional agreement that was offered to us. Specifically, we request either: Fulfillment of the promised patio installation as represented during the sale, or Compensation equivalent to the represented value of the patio, approximately $30,000, along with the $1,000 promotional payment promised to the homeowner. Additionally, after further review, I discovered that Mr. Ochoa does not appear to have been licensed to conduct door-to-door sales. Given the circumstances, we believe this matter may fall within the protections provided under the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. It is our preference to resolve this matter amicably and without the need for further action. We respectfully request that this matter be reviewed by your legal or executive team and that we receive a response outlining the next steps. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you soon.

I pay more for electricity along with a bill for my undersized system. Salesman… that’s it, they don’t care about helping you, they helped themselves. When I secure the funding for an attorney, I’ll see you guys in court

Service is terrible. Product is crap. Stay away

Everything was fine until installation. The inspection engineers missed the appointment with the city official two times in a row delaying the Permit to Operate (PTO). The sales rep never helped me setup the connectivity for monitoring and I had to figure out everything by myself. The system stopped working after two days due to faulty wiring set by the installers. So I have paid for a system that has not been working for the more than a month after PTO. Very disappointed with the experience. Cannot recommend them in the future.

Very good experience with SolarMax through the entire process to PTO. I started out with a different provider from LA that wasn't going well. My neighbor recommended SolarMax, and couldn't be more pleased. My install was more involved than most, as it included a Tesla Battery with a Gateway and Sub-panel. I live in west Ventura County, and the installers were on time, professional, and knowledgeable. Can't say enough good things about the support & staff, especially the program manager Noe Lopez. Through the process, which takes longer waiting for a battery, Noe was always straight up and consistent on what to expect, and provided good technical support. Ashley, in Utility & HOA, was always on top of things, keeping the SCE PTO on track. From my experience and that of my neighbor, SolarMax was an excellent choice. Highly recommend.

I called Solarmax as they were highly rated. The sales person came out looked everything over and told me I needed 15 panels. I wanted more but he said I would only be giving it to the power company. Well they put in 15 and now I am going to owe SCE and extra $250. I didn’t have a nice. Oil summer. I sweated day and night. I am really upset so not only do I owe that. I also financed the solar so that is $85 a month and will go up to $115 a month if I don’t give Them $4200 next year. So solar is costing me almost twice what my electric bill used to be. I wish I never got solar. Being a senior on a fixed income this is hard on me.

We've considered Solar for about 4 to 5 years now and even went as far as design stage with two other companies but were turned off with experience. After listening to the 5 Year no interest plan on the Radio, we tried again. I manage my Company Sales Team and don't appreciate a hard sell. From the very beginning Brandon Mezzanatto proved we had nothing to worry about. He was far from a hard sell and simply informed us and enabled us to make a decision suit our needs. I am not the type of person that complains about service - but I have waited months for Solarmax to complete service and make the connection - and it seems to be stalled out without any helpful communication

So far I am completely satisfied with my Solar Max system. The whole process was done very professionally and double checked all through the process. Brandon Mezzanatto came to our home and completely explained the start to finish process. As I explained to him at the time, I had already had several other solar companies over to the house and listened to them and got their quotes also. As I had explained to all of the solar reps, I had worked construction for over 30 years myself and of course was interested in a fair price, but needed to feel good about the company that would get my business. I was impressed with SolarMax and was really impressed with their Riverside facility. I just ended my 3rd complete month of being Solar Powered. I went a little over the recommended amount of panels, from what I have seen so far, I should never have an electric bill again, with the exception of the monthly minimal $12-$15 service charge. Plus I am building up credits each month that should add up to hundreds of dollars for power sold back to SCE at the end of the year. The online monitoring tells me from anywhere what my system is doing 24/7. Again I would say that SolarMax has done what they promised andI am pleased.

What a wonderful experience. My wife and I have been considering going solar for quite sometime and finally decided to do some research. I had heard an ad for SolarMax on KFI radio, and after another quote from a local solar company called SolarMax for a second quote. The representative Brandon Mezzanatto came to our home and went over the entire process within about an hour. As per their suggestion both my wife and I needed to be there so we both could make an informed decision on whether or not solar would work for us. Again this was our second presentation and what a difference. Not only was the price substantially less but Brandon Mezzanatto,s presentation and information was stellar in it's completeness, and to the level as to where my wife and I could easily understand the savings and process of installation and financing. Through out the entire process (aprox. 3 weeks) from agreeing and signing paperwork we were producing our own energy (amazing). In the first 3 months with our air conditioner running at 76 degrees 24/7 with 4 TV,s 3 refrigerators / freezers and ceiling fans our energy towards our yearly bill was $7.47. My wife who pays all the bills thanks me weekly for going solar. Being able to run the air comfortably and not have to worry about the previous year of $300 to $700 summer electric bills. Lastly our consultant Brandon Mezzanatto was amazing through out the entire process during and after. Every time I called he answered his cell phone every time and had my answers immediately. All rebates also came in a timely fashion. I HIGHLY recommend Brandon Mezzanatto and SolarMax for your solar. Best thing we have ever done for our finances and renewable energy. Solarmax installed 22 solar panels in my home. The whole process went very smooth. Starting with meeting their Sale Rep Brandon Mezzanatto till finalizing the installation. Brandon made everything crystal clear to me from day one; how many panels i am getting, what type of panels, he walked me thru the whole process from the 1st day. He remained my main point of contact till the end, answering questions and facilitating the transaction. Solarmax electricians and technicians are very well trained, I work as hospitals inspector and i know when the worker is skilled or not. All the products installed in the system were UL listed, the solar panels are Made in USA. My 1st electrical bill after installation was $10, compared to couple hundreds before the installtion. Their prices are very competitive, there is always a room for negotiation too. The overall experience went very smooth.

I had my system installed by SolarMax after looking at several others. SolarMax was by far the best choice, my Salesman Dan C stayed with the installation the whole way and helped to work through the process. My experience with Solar Max was fantastic. The Sales Person Marvin, was very patient as I kept delaying moving forward but then re-engaging months later. Once I decided to move forward the installation was smooth and sweet. I even needed some equipment on the wall moved and they came out at their expense and moved the equipment to a safe location! We are so happy with the install of our solar system that we purchased through Solarmax. Brandon Mezzanatto came over to the house and took about 45 minutes with us on what to expect, how fast it would be and our different options for pricing and payment. I interviewed quite a few companies before choosing Solarmax. Marvin, my salesperson, provided all the information in a clear and easy way that enabled me to make an informed decision on which company to go with. A pleasant experience, from start to finish. Start with Nav, my sales consultant. He was knowledgeable and patient. Answered all of my newbie questions. Worked with me to slect between lease and purchase (purchased!) and to customize the system and pertinent dates to my needs and schedule. Some small delays in the approval pipeline because my house is an oddball; it shares a common wall with a neighbor. The HOA was very much a stickler in protecting his interest. I understand that, but it gummed up the works a bit in the middle. Christine in the SolarMax office was a joy to work with: warm yet professional, friendly, and funny. The installers I met were top-notch. Zee, Christian, and CJ were quick, professional, tidy, and concerned with my requirements. Zee, in particular, took a lot of time to consult with me as he routed the cables and mounted the monitoring box as unobtrusively as possible. CJ took equal care on the roof to make the cable run up there as well camouflaged as could be. There are still a couple of outstanding minor cosmetic issues that Solar has agreed to finish up, but my expectations were exceeded.

System instalation ok. We paid cash and they were very eager to get the $even before full instalkation. We Had to call about getting enlighten system up and running. Myenlighten quit working 1 month later. Customer support didn't return call. Now trying online support. Solarmax still hasn't put my panel system on the site either so I can view status of each panel. Been two months. Good price for solar panels but not sure about customer support aftwrwards.

We had a great experience with Brandon Mezzanato and SolarMax. Truly a 5-Star experience. SolarMax is well organized and kept us informed throughout the process. They provided top rated solar panels and microinverters and were thousands of dollars less than quotes we received from other vendors (and those other vendors were quoting lesser quality panels and inverters). Brandon Mezzanatto was our sales rep and came into our home after we had had two previous solar companies talk to us and we were about ready to purchase another system. Brandon showed us how we could save significant money with SolarMax and still get a great system for our needs. Since the beginning of the solar Installation process my sales representative, Pete Herrera, has made my experience a tranquil and credible one. He came to my home and sat with me personally to discuss all of the options SolarMax had to offer; followed by reviewing what options would personally work and fit best for myself and my home’s conditions. Pete was so dependable and knowledgeable on the topic of solar that I couldn’t help but to pass on his expertise to my mother who lived directly across the street from me. We walked over to my mother’s home the very same day I signed my contract. The process for my mother was just as easy and smooth as my own. So smooth and trustworthy that my mother then signed her very own solar contract the same day! We were both very happy with everything and everyone throughout the process. I served our country by joining the Army Air Corps when I was 18 My mother received my High School Diploma in my place while I was still in training .I spent my 18 and 19th Birthdays on board a B-24 Liberator in the south Pacific Campaign and was discharged twenty days before my 21 birthday. I flew in over thirty missions survived a crash, and have received several medals and decorations for my military service. I was approached by Pedro (Pete) Herrera and he thoroughly explained the solarmax product and how I could benefit from it. he arranged for people to come out and plan for the positioning of the solar panels on my roof. He continued to follow through with periodic phone calls and visits to be sure everything was running according to what he had planned for us. We signed up with Solar Max 2 years ago. The panels work fine and the process was easy and the customer service seemed good. We did notice that nails, bolts and screws were driven through the roof and into our living room and dining room ceiling, however, right underneath the panels. We were informed that this would be fixed. AS soon as the rain came, we noticed 8-9 leaking areas, all underneath the panels. SolarMax did come out and to repair them and managed to fix 6 of them. Three leaky areas remained and they came out again to repair them and two more were fixed. The worst leak in our bedroom soaks the entire wall with water and made the ceiling swell. Solar Max came out a third time to repair this and it is still not fixed. Fortunately we are in a drought and it rarely rains here, but we do now have a tarp from Home Depot on our room covering this area, which works, but it's so tacky. The bolts, nails and screws are still visible in our ceiling and people and have yet to be fixed. SolarMax has stopped responding to my requests to have this fixed. A friend of ours researched several solar companies and decided that SolarMax was the best choice. They have been very happy with their choice and highly recommended that we go the same way. I had contacted with a contractor, Jerry Hong, who is a resiponsible man. He prepared all the paperwork for me and give me a fair estimated price and proposal. I would highly recommend him for my friends who want to have solar power system.

Our choice to go solar was based on the appointment we had with Representative Brandon Mezzanatto. Brandon was very professional and honest. He took the time and patience to explain all of the advantages and details of the system. He made our decision easy. We still contact him with occasional questions and he is always available! SolarMax is well Represented and the system has saved us lots!!!

Given this is a pretty large purchase I spent considerable time learning about solar energy, the utilities, costs and the related pieces of information required for an informed decision. I worked with SolarMax and SolarCity. The contrast between the two companies were striking. SolarCity was hard sell, sign now, keep things mysterious and even try to frighten me into signing with them. After I had told them I was going with SolarMax their regional VP even sent me a flaming email warning me how I was making a terrible and tragic decision that I would essentially regret forever. It was choke full of misinformation unlike anything I had ever seen. I called him out on it and shared the email with SolarMax as it was absolutely inconsistent with good faith business practices. In any case SolarMax was spot on with everything they promised and said. The communication throughout the sales process was first class. My guy, Brandon, was incredibly responsive and informed. The SolarCity sales rep constantly needed to get information from the main office. The SolarCity rep worked around my work hours to give me the time face to face I needed. He worked hard to give me all the information about solar, the panels, the regulations, etc. I appreciated the transparency very much. Additionally, SolarMax was able to get me 10% more power (could have given me more but the cost didn't justify it - SolarCity was 'locked into' particular panels that had weaker power generation) at 20% less cost. Installation took two days exactly as promised. Installation was clean and seamless and from what I could tell all equipment is top quality. Now the system has been running for 6 months and power generation is spot on what was promised (ie it's a bit higher than what was guaranteed). I'm thrilled with the system and everything about SolarMax. Last comment - post sales service: I made changes to my WiFi system last week and it knocked off my solar link. SolarMax's service was spot on with the exact right information to let me get back online within minutes. They made it easy. As you can tell I fully recommend SolarMax and I hope you have the same positive experience that I did.

We are now up and running on solar from SolarMax with SunRun panels!! We spoke with several other companies and we are so glad we chose SolarMax. We are so happy to finally be GREEN! Our Sales Agent, Brandon Mezzanatto, is amazing and extremely knowledgeable. He stayed in touch with us through the entire process, answering every question immediately and completely. He helped us understand that going solar is not an overnight process. There are many steps along the way that involve the electric company, the installers, the inspectors, the panel manufacturer, etc. If you want to drastically lower your electrical cost by this summer, I strongly urge you to start your process now. It is well worth it. I highly recommend SolarMax and especially Brandon.

What a simple and easy process. My agent, Dan Cooley, answered all my questions and updated me throughout the entire process and installation. The installation was quick and clean. They even painted the conduit and panel to match the paint of my home. I have also recommended SolarMax to my friends and family. Q.PRO-G3 250-265 solar module with SUNNY BOY 5000TL-US inverter is what I have for one month. There is substantial difference reflected on electricity bill from $90.00 to $17.00 for the month of May. I expect more saving when we get into our hot summer at southern California. Ask for monitoring interface RS485 as part of the inverter system to monitor the net generation record/efficiency.

From our initial meeting to completion, we are happy to recommend SolarMax to others. It is a process so you'll need to be realistic and understanding with the time frames as there are many necessary steps. That said, we love our solar and are happily producing often more than we consume. If you are still shopping for Solar Panel system to offset your high electric bills, in addition to those nationwide companies you have heard of on radio and TV's, make sure you add SolarMax to your list - and place it among the top. My system has been installed by SolarMax, and I am completely satisfied - especially with the customer service provided by Garrett Kramer. As per common procedures, I signed the purchase agreement, roof & shade analysis conducted, e-signed the layout approval (11 panels facing West and 11 panels facing East - all connected to SolarEdge string inverter), and the system was installed. After tracking production for a period of time, I was somewhat unsatisfied with the production of the panels on the East roof due to shading in the morning from the mountains in the East (those big mountains by Lake Perris). I voiced my concern to Garrett, explained the situation, and requested for the East panels to be moved to my South roof and West roof. Moving all panels would be too big of a job, and Garrett did not recommend that. After some discussions at SolarMax office in Riverside, we came up to a compromised solution. And that was to, instead of moving all of the East panels, three were to be moved from the East to the South roof. Garrett would throw in an extra panel along with an Enphase's Envoy device, and my part was to provide Enphase micro inverters for those panels (due to some restrictions on SolarEdge inverter, the South panels couldn't be added to SolarEdge inverter without compromising overall production). After a few visits by SolarMax crew, the job was completed successfully, and I am now getting the production that I am satisfied with. More than satisfaction of the production from the panels, I am superbly satisfied with superior customer service provided by SolarMax Technology. I totally understand that Garrett didn't have the obligation to fulfill my request because I was the one who signed the consent/approval for the original layout. Garrett, however, did fulfill my plea - along with many follow-up phone calls to make sure I am completely happy, and that simply showed his excellence in Customer Service. I am pleased with Garrett, his team, and with SolarMax as a whole. I am happy for SolarMax for having Garrett in the team, and the Customer Service part that Garrett and his team excel in - will definitely get a lot of business and referrals coming your way. For all the people that I know who are interested in adding Solar Panel System on their roof, especially those who live in SoCal region, I will make sure they strongly consider SolarMax as their top choice

SolarMax completed my installation several months ago and we are happy with the results. The installation was completed on time,including my panel upgrade. The person who did the panel upgrade also did a good job matching the existing stucco and paint. The system is working as it should, and no longer have an Edison bill. We did our taxes and got the tax credit and applied it to the loan, no issues there either. Pete Herrera was our rep and he was easy to talk to, professional, and did everything he said he would. I had been looking at Solar for some time ,I had got estimates from other places and then my friend gave me a SolarMax business card and I called Marvin Jimenez from SolarMax,when he came out, he explained everything in detail from purchase to lease options. My wife and I looked over the paper work had some Questions ,so we called Marvin with no hesitation he came over and answered all our questions and we signed our purchase for the solar .SolarMax is a Very GOOD Company to Deal with from day one ,they took care of the entire approval process.I have and will continue to refer SolarMax Technology to others.

I am very satisfied with Solar Max. After some mis-communication with calling before arrival to install, no other issues. They are very good in returning phone calls to answer questions, since this is all very new to us. I would recommend my salesman Victor Barbosa anytime.

To start off with, the sales part was very good and easy to understand. Looking at what I used from the last year and what my opportunities are for the up coming years was great. Dan walked us through the entire process from beginning to end. He explained everything in layman’s terms and made us understand everything so we could made an educated decision on our solar purchase. We had already done extensive research on solar but Dan made us understand how it all comes together and lines up with Southern California Edison for a flawless installation and connection. They left no evidence of work being done, nothing to clean up and no damage to our property. The entire crew was professional but friendly. They were a class act installation crew. After looking at a series of solar companies I wisely made the decision to go with SolarMax as my vendor as I felt their design and installation planning were much more detailed and thought out than some of the other vendors. My install went fast and painless which included a new 200 amp service panel as even before the solar installation I was woefully undersized for my property and pool equipment needs. The installers we all very friendly knowledgably and professional and at every phase of the planning and installation I was kept up to date with the progress and timelines and as a hands on kind of guy I was able to ask the installation teams questions to ensure my understanding of the systems and processes. From the no pressure sales process with my salesman Chris Handzel to the final call to tell me I received the notification from SCE to go live I have honestly felt like a valued customer and look forward to working with and recommending them going forward. As for the system I purchased I have been ecstatic to watch my power generation quickly eat away at the power I had used earlier in the month and where my SCE bill was $280 last month I anticipate to zero as I am quickly moving toward over generated KWH for the month. I shopped and compared many other solar providers for over one year. When it came down to the last two solar companies, SolarMax earned my business. Andrea is the best no pressure, no gimmick, no hard sales approach; just the pure plain simple truth. I can’t say enough good about the whole experience. Everyone has been very responsive and professional. When it came time for installation the SolarMax crew was right on time and very clear on what was going to take place. As far as stucco repair goes we all know that it is almost impossible to match the existing stucco. Not for these guys. Their stucco crew, again, was top notch, very professional from the start to the end and matched the existing stucco perfectly. I was concerned about the stucco matching, so if you are please be assured they will make it match. I can’t say enough good about this company. They stand behind what they say 100%.
