I would give 10 stars if that was possible! When I moved to this area, I was not aware of any solar companies except for the highly marketed ones. I met Josef and was immediately impressed with his analytic approach to the situation. The workmanship is top notch, the follow-up first rate, and the documentation submitted to the county was perfectly completed. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this team. It's not an assortment of subcontractors, but the team works directly for Solar Sun World. My solar array is approximately 6kW and has saved us hundreds of dollars so far. Our power bill, even with rate increases, is less than 40% of what it used to be. Go solar, you won't regret it. And go with Solar Sun World. They care and will analyze your entire power structure to insure everything is safe and in good working order.

Proceed with caution

I could write a long list of everything that went wrong. Our major problem though is we want to be off grid and he refused to set us up that way. We bought a big enough system to connect to our main panel and have the batteries on the main panel too and he refused to do it and gave us a subpanel with a few connections. Essentially if the grid is down we can still only use a handful of things. If it was hooked to the main panel without a sub and the grid was down/sun shining we could still use our whole house. He will spout off reasons why not to do that, but in the end we want the choice to control the system the way we want and he won’t respect that. Also convinced us to let him build a pole barn because it would be a part of the system and tax write off…. he was wrong. Just proceed with caution, do your research, make sure he is giving you what you want. We would not recommend him to anyone from our experience.

Not a company I would ever use again, nor recommend to anyone. We had a fault light (reported it to them) on our newly installed 23 panel system. The technician came and did nothing. Because of their inaction and possible manufacturer's defect a house fire erupted (see picture). $400k in fire, water damage, broken windows and 1 year dislocation thanks to Sun Solar World. There is one star because you can't give zero. In response to owners request: The review is true and accurate. As stated the issue was not the installation but the lack of corrective action to the fault light/malfunction. Sceenshots of text messages and documentation support this. Your lack of accountability and attempt to shift blame is typical of a company trying to cover a mistake-- not responding appropriately to the system's warnings. Additionally the investigators did outbrief that the although the installation was not the direct cause of the fire there were expedient cost cutting methods used that indicated sub-standard work. You would know this if you hadn't left early the day of the investigation. I am writing what I was told by more qualified personnel and what I know to be true and accurate. I cannot recommend this company enough! Josef is amazing to work with - very dedicated, down-to-earth, and honest about the project and every element. The crew was professional, courteous, and provided quality work. If you have any issues with the system (whether from installation or just bad luck with equipment), Josef makes it right and takes care of you every step of the way. Even after the installation was complete, Josef and the crew still take care of you! After many quotes and meetings with various companies, I chose Solar Sun World and have not regretted it one moment!

Investigated solar 10 or more years ago. Received quotes of 100k+ not doable. Not recalling contractors I called several in May one of which was Joseph who reminded me he had 10 years previously given me a quote. It was a big plus that he was still in business as many solar contractors don’t make it that long. After our conversation it was obvious that solar had dropped a lot. I contracted with Joseph and his team preformed flawlessly. They started and completed job in a timely manner. It was refreshing to do business with someone who produced what they promised.

Josef was very professional in the planning process and helping come up with what I think the optimal layout and design would be, spreading the system to cover two directions for good production over the course of the day. We also included with this a fast-charging system for my plug-in hybrid car. The installation team was very efficient and thorough, and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with our system, and during the months of April and May 2020 the system actually generated more than we used, thus we were Net-Positive those months!

FIVE BIG STARS: This is a *terrific* company with (literally) German installation precision. We have had our system since 2012 and it's generated 99.45MWh - the energy we created could power 30,000 for an hour. That means our power bill is cut in half (e.g. no power at night). And we enjoy cool air conditioning for free all summer days. Update: I just saw a previous post where someone complained ("oddly" posting twice to hurt the company). In the 10 years I have known Solar Sun World, they have been totally professional and truly perfect. I've recommended then to friends and all are delighted with their panels. Our Solar Sun World panels are AWESOME. Highly suggested over poorly made, poorly installed competitors.

Wouldn't return text or calls

panels back in 2015. We've tried to communicate with Josef as well, but kept referring us to Taylor. Like I said, he's a nice guy, but because our unit was out of glycol (I'm assuming) because they never came to help and it stopped working properly. Because they wouldn't get back in touch with us, our unit broke and we can't afford thousands of dollars to fix....so we switched back to electric and I've NEVER been happier!! At least when I call someone now, it's an immediate response and can help me within the week....NOT the next year. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
