Honesty

I am very interested in a grid tied system for my home and I am very appreciative that Solar-Ray was honest with me. Due to shading did was not practical to install a system. It is good to see honest business people still exist.

Above expectations

I did allot of research (about 4 years) and finally chose Solar-Ray because of the price and reputation. I believe I chose wisely. I selected a 10 kw, roof-mounted system. From start to finish, they have been great. I am a recipient of an energy company rebate so I was initially worried about getting everything done on time. This was not an issue at all! I was completed way ahead of schedule. I am still waiting on my bi-directional meter and rebate, so it is a waiting game with the energy company and NOT Solar-Ray. So far, they have done everything they have said they would and exceeded my expectations, to include submitting the paperwork and doing everything with the energy company that they can. The only thing I had to do was submit my initial application for the rebate, which they totally prepared me for. I am truly satisfied with everything so far and I can't wait to get my meter and go hot! I will certainly be back to provide an update after I evaluate the system. To this point, I highly recommend solar and if you are going to do it, I highly recommend Solar-Ray, Inc.!

Our school has installed solar panels as a tool for educating our students about solar energy. Solar-Ray, Inc. was wonderful to work with and will most definitely be who we call to add additional solar systems. Even with problems encountered during the installation, that were not their fault, Solar-Ray kept to our price quote and worked on a holiday to finish the job on time.

Michael Brown from Solar-Ray went above and beyond in helping me design and install my own solar plant. From the early stages of the design to the install day, everything was smooth. I received several solar quotes from different companies before I selected Solar-Ray. I was uncomfortable writing large check to a company who sends a sales person that doesn't know anything about string sizing or PV module temperature coefficiencies, all they wanted to do is to put micro inverters to cook on the top of the roof because it's the easiest type of install, which brings the highest profit margin for them. Solar-Ray has a different approach, they are first and foremost about maximizing your solar production not the money that stays in their pockets, they also came to be the cheapest out all the quotes I've received, I could not be happier . My family has been extremely happy with the service provided by Solar Ray that we recommend the company to everyone we know, as well as those who we come in contact with in public settings. In fact, we are presently working with Solar Ray for the expansion of our current PV system by an additional 3.78 KW. Michael Brown, the owner of Solar Ray, has always gone above the norm, making the entire process (design, permitting, installation, and filing of paperwork) an entirely stress free experience. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and is able to correlate information in a comprehensible manner to those (like me) with less of an understanding of the technical side of solarization. He is also able to work well with other contractors, noted by his professionalism in working in conjunction with our roofing company for the install of the legs of the solar system into our Gen-Flex roof. Additionally, his prices were the best that we received from any of the other contractors we inquired with. We have one full year of production of both the PV and Thermal production of our system with no noted problems to report. Solar Ray handled all permitting, inspections, and completion of rebate incentives. Michael Brown was very knowledgeable of available programs being offered by the county I reside- by the State of Florida- by the Federal Government. He also assisted me in selling my carbon credits, which is offsetting the inital cost of the installation.

I most liked the way MIke designed my system for optimal production of energy.

Since the first time I contacted Solar-Ray, Mike Brown has always been available to take calls and answer questions I had. Installation of PV panels continued on-schedule and was done sooner than I expected. All workmen were courteous when talking to me and among themselves. I have been in contact with Mike since the panels were installed to thank him for a job well done and to express my appreciation at the amount of power the units produce. I have recommended his company to a neighbor who expressed interest in solar. I would probably not have gotten the PV system (due to expense) had not Florida promised a rebate of up to $ 20,000 for a PV system. I`m still waiting! I had no problem using the Federal tax credit.

Mike Brown has gone "above and beyond" with his completion of the project, due to circumstances beyond his control. We HIGHLY recommend him and his staff.

Michael Brown and the helpful people at Solar-Ray, Inc. installed my 4.1 kW system in Cocoa Beach, FL on 30 January 2009. Although I am fairly knowledgeable about PV systems, Michael really helped me with choosing the best configuration, inverter and modules for my circumstance. In spite of blustery conditions, the installation went very smoothly. Both the mechanical and electrical hook up was very professionally done and the installation was complete in two days. More than that, Michael takes a personal interest in his systems, which I am happy to report is producing about 10-20% more power than I had estimated using PVWATTS or similar simulation tools. I am averaging about 18.5 kWh AC per day in February which exceeds my home consumption at this time of year. Couldn`t ask for any better. Completely satisfied.

Michael produced a well engineered PV system for my house at a cost less than competitor`s. He allowed me to perform some prep work myself ( reinforcing roof trusses ) which helped reduce the price too. He used the highest quality PV panels, support structures and inverter. I am very happy with the system. The rebates offered by new Federal and existing state pushed me to go with a PV system. The sources of information portion of the survey is not working - there is no way to check an item.

A totally outstanding and professional installation that has exceeded projected performance from the get-go. We have worn a path from the garage to the power company`s meter showing people how the meter actually runs backwards(legally)while supplying the home`s power requirements when operating at full capacity. SOLAR-RAY`S owner provided an excellent initial presentation including an extremely competetive package price(over $ 5000 below nearest competitor) while using top industry rated hardware and certified installers. His presentation included detailed drawings of system components locations and an excellent explanation of the product`s features,functions, and benefits. Installation crew members were professional,courteous,and explained each installation step clearly and patiently.The company also provided great assistance in filing paperwork for state and federal rebates. We already are planning an additional 5kw PV install by SOLAR-RAY in the not too distant future.We are absolutely thrilled with the system`s performance and welcome visitors who may be considering this technology to observe an actual operating system. ROI on this system vs. an equally priced automobile over the life of each product is a "no contest" net value vs cost bottom line in favor of the solar system. Have been considering a PV system for over 5 years but had to wait for the system costs vs performanceto come down into the realm of reality.
