Prior to hiring Solar Power Pros for our installation project, we received quotes from five different companies. Three companies came to our home to discuss options, pricing, etc. Two stood out; Solar Power Pros and another. It wasn't about the money, but Solar Power Pros came in roughly 10% less than their competitor. We were very glad we chose Solar Power Pros for our project. They were professional from start to finish; from the owner coming to our home to discuss the different options, pricing, etc. The installers were very good too. They were prompt, clean and took care of our property. When they left, you didn't even know anyone was here. I highly recommend Solar Power Pros for your next project.

Wonderful experience, very professional

Our experience with Solar Power Pros was superb. From the initial consultation through installation and completion things could not have gone better. They are very professional, very knowledgeable, and pay attention to every detail. The installers were wonderful to work with and very respectful of our property. The follow-up was very thorough and they even followed up recently two years after installation. The financial model that they produced was very accurate and our panels are producing power just as expected. We are very happy that we chose Solar Power Pros and would highly recommend them.

Solar Power Pros - Outstanding company

Bill Clay (company owner) designed my system, and I was extremely happy with both the amount of planning and information he provided me, and the quality of work done by his installation crew. I obtained three estimates for my installation; one was from a very large well know national solar company. I was extremely disappointed in not only what the "info chick" who gave us the original "song and dance" said they could install, and then what there PE (Professional Engineer) presented me with. Am not sure what online school he paid for a degree from, but he was totally out to lunch on his final installation plan (it was more what they could not do, as to what the "info chick" told us in her initial presentation. The second company sent out a representative who seemed more interested in making a quick presentation and getting on to his next "victim" (At least the big company sent out a guy who went onto the roof to check the "info chick's" theoretical installation plan). I asked him how he knew what he presented was going to work, and he kind of brushed me off, telling me he could tell just by looking at the roof!! And I was happy getting him out the door. When Bill gave his presentation, he said he would have to verify his plan; and would do that once we decided to proceed. I was very impressed with his presentation, he took his time, talked about micro inverters on each panel as compared to one main inverter, and he answered all our questions in a straight forward and informative manor. After the previous two presentations and estimates, Solar Power Pros was my choice. Bill came back out a few days later and spend a considerable amount of time measuring and then checking the sun angle and shading from trees. Before he even did the calculations, he told me the one panel I was wanting on the bottom end of the garage was probably going to be shaded enough of the time, it would not be worth installing a panel there. I appreciated him being truthful and not going ahead and installing a panel that was not going to be cost effective. Bottom line is, Solar Power Pros would be my recommendation for an outstanding solar company. My final estimate was from Solar Power Pros, and Bill was able to install all but one of the panels I desired (he found there was too much shading on the end of the garage to make it worth while). And not only was he able to install what I wanted, but at a lower price, and a considerable better finance program than the other two companies. His installation crew was three young me fresh out of solar school; I was really impressed with their work ethic, installation, and just very courteous, friendly, and just outstanding young men. I had a satellite antenna system mounted on a small 6 ft tower on the roof of the garage that needed to be moved. Bill's crew volunteered to help me move it, and I was certainly appreciative of there kindness.

2 Years later and I'm still happy

Bill Clay from Solar Power Pros offered the best price of the three quotes and they installed and activated the system fast. I was in a rush to have the installation completed before a year-end electric company policy change took effect and Solar Power Pros did not disappoint. About a year after the install, my phone app stopped displaying up to date energy production data and the Solar Power Pros noticed before I did and proactively sent a technician out free of charge to reset the Enphase Envoy box that monitors production levels. Excellent customer service! They sized the system perfectly and it has dropped my electric bills from ~$150/month to $10/month which is the grid connection fee. I'd recommend asking for critter guard to be installed at the time of install. I didn't and two years later I asked the Solar Power Pros to come back and evict a family of pigeons and install the critter guard edging. They gave me a very fair price and I haven't had animal issues since. I feel like I am in good hands and have no regrets going solar with Solar Power Pros. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend!

Very satisfied customer. Bill Clay and his crew from Solar Power Pros installed a 35 panel 9.8kw system on my home Dec/Jan 2017. From the first contact through the last, they were always responsive, professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do with no unpleasant surprises. You know, just what you expect in any contractor. I got bids from 5 solar contractors. I told every one that this job was being bid out to a number of people and they should give me their best bid upfront because there would be no negotiation. 2 of the 5 lowered their bids after I told them I was going with Solar Power Pros. One of them even lowered their bid a second time to what Solar Power Pros bid but told me, 'they'd be losing money on the job'! Right. That's why they went into business, to lose money on jobs. Solar Power Pros pricing was not the lowest, but it was close. Their pricing is very competitive and it was much lower than a few of the bids I got! Bill, the owner himself, showed up for the initial sales visit. I wanted a micro-inverter type install and he was very familiar with that. I was concerned about a clean symmetrical look on the visible parts of the roof and they were able to accommodate that. They put the panels exactly where and how I asked them to. I'm a big DIY'er. I was considering doing this job myself. But, in the end, these guys were able to do the job for not a lot more than I would have spent on my own. Plus they finished on time in a matter of a few weeks (in the winter, working around weather) where it would have taken me a year! Highly recommend these guys. System has been up and running now for 20 months and is producing slightly more electricity than advertised. I haven't had an Xcel bill, where I've actually used any electricity, since February 2016. In 20 months, my meter has run net backwards over 4500 kWhrs. Size a system that will take care of all your electrical needs and have Solar Power Pros install it for you!
