Be aware that Sky Power states on their website that: "Our current service rates are $195 per hour, with an additional truck roll fee for sites located 10 miles or more from our local office", However they quoted a minimum charge of $500 to diagnose the problem because I was a "New Customer". I said that I felt that the advertised price was misleading since it does not mention anything about a new customer price (I actually purchased my system from Sky Power in 2015- but they had been sold since then to new owners). Further I stated if it was not changed to reflect the "New Customer" pricing in a week I was going to post a negative review. I don't like to give negative reviews, so I waited 10 days, which I felt was adequate to rectify the issue with their website. So- Be forewarned that the price that Sky Power states on their website may not be the price you pay.

Excellent, knowledgeable company. They are premiere installers for several brands, so can figure out which brand yields the best cost-benefit analysis for you at the time you're buying, and hook you up with the "extra" warranty some manuf's offer for premiere installers. If you're looking to save some $$, they can recommend cheaper manufacturers and explain, in English, exactly how that should affect performance. The reps were exceedingly patient with me and responsive to my voluminous questions. They are one of the oldest solar companies in the Bay Area so have a long track record of good performance. They initially recommended I not get a system, given how frugal my electricity use is (honest!). I got one when I got a plug-in car. Installation was on time and a breeze. Every step was explained to me, and took my input on where wiring should go. System operation was explained to me. As I'm writing this, I've had system for about 1 month - Sky Power support is still fantastic. Highly recommend.

Warranty work takes 20 days to schedule, system down month

Systems has been down for a month due to know faulty connectors. Will come replace with new connectors in 20 days. 2 months without solar in the hottest months. Will cost several thousand dollars of use. Disappointed as the system is only a few years old.

I had several bids for my PV Solar project. I went with Bob Winn and Sky Power Solar and was not disappointed. Very professional throughout. I particularly trusted their long term (> decade) committed experience in the field; stating why certain options and panel choices were better for my particular situation. Their team of installers started ahead of schedule and completed the work on time and as stated. They kept the site clean and were very respectful of us and our property. Truly nice guys; hard workers. Power generation is awesome and on target. Online monitoring works flawlessly.

I am very happy so far! Everything went well with the installation. I had compared two companies and went with sky power, which I felt had a better price, solar panel product and overall package of warranties. I used the zero interest loan for 12 mo. (for the amount that I will get back in tax credit) which made the initial invest seem more manageable.

Great experience. Their salesman was very down-to-earth with no gimmicky pitches or pressures. Price and quality of panels surpassed all other bids I received (5 total). Most noticeable was their consistent level of customer support from sales to inspectors to installers. Very impressive. I highly recommend.

Disorganized, but eventually got the job done at quoted terms

SunPower was the right panel solution for my situation because of limited roof space which made the efficiency gains worth the significantly higher cost. SkyPower did deliver on price and timing, but was extremely tough to handle logistically because they were so disorganized. I ultimately got what I ordered, but it took a lot of follow through and re-forwarding of correspondence so make sure you save your paper work and read your contract closely. I have heard worse stories out there so it may just be an industry norm to be sloppy, disorganized and difficult.

SkyPower Solar makes a medical Center owner very happy

Our experience with SkyPower Solar has been excellent from sales to construction to follow up! As a medical center we consume significant power with a significant electric bill. With our electric energy cost savings, the ITC tax credit and the accelerated depreciation, our pay back for the entire system is close to 3 years. As an added bonus the panels were installed on parking structures, which pleased both our patients and doctors. SkyPower Solar handled the whole project turnkey.

Turnkey installation, right down to painting any exposed conduit to match the house. Their standard practice is to run conduit in attic space, but it has to pop out somewhere in order to interconnect with PG&E. Some companies charge more to run conduit in the attic. Not so here, standard practice. My salesperson was Janice. She was very knowledgeable and sold me the right design for my needs. What I like a lot about SkyPower is that they are local so I know that they are right down the road in the event I need some support post install. They are very responsive.

Excellent complete service

Took care of all permitting with the town and PG&E. Always available and prompt. We had some issues with PG&E (who doesn't?!) and they helped a lot resolving those. Would recommend unreservedly.

Sky power has done work with Habitat for Humanity, where I volunteer, and the experience with them there was a big factor

The pricing was competitive and the service was excellent. Once the contract was signed, my part was done. All elements of the project were handled professionally by Sky Power from homeowner approvals, installation, rebates and PGE. Skypower underpromised and overdelivered.

The war for oil in Irag did it.

We have had window, roofing, painting and concrete contractors at our house in the past two years. None of them were anywhere near as professional and proficient as Sky Power Systems was. They were on time, fast and left the job site looking better than when they arrived. They even made a last minute change to the installation that I requested without even blinking an eye. They could not have do a better job than they did!! The quick and efficient communication by Bob Winn at Sky Power Systems was the reason we choose them as our installation contractor for our PV Solar System.

I thought Bob was excellent. He was great at explaining everything to me and was VERY responsive to my inquires. That is the reason I chose him over another company. I would, and have, recommended him to others. The only issue that arose was during the installation process. It took longer than expected to install the panels because the sub-contractor he used was busy with other projects. Again, I would recommend Bob at Skypower Systems to anyone.

It`s been one year, and I am very happy with my decision. I talk about it to everyone, and have written a letter to the local newspaper, promoting solar power. I am an environmentalist. That was the primary motivation for me. However, I am now convinced that this was a financially prudent decision, as the cost of electricity goes up.

I`ll contact you to help explain the metering again. Also, need help to explain the new paperwork I`m getting, showing pages of activity and a bill about $7. I don`t remember if the contractor charge you the full job amount, or the net amount after purchase incentives were deducted
