We contacted several vendors and SGE's response was great and the best. Doug Wahl spent multiple sessions with us figuring out how to get a 10K system on our oddly configured roofs without a lot of panels showing on the street side yet still producing what our annual consumption has been. Doug was knowledgeable and worked through several iterations of the layout. Installation went well. There were delays but they were not SGE's fault; long permitting process, back-ordered panels, and one other something I can't remember. Doug was also great helping me get status and other information during installation. The system has been running for 9 months, electric bills have been $0 and we've built up a good kwh credit. Now we're headed into the winter and I'm dying to see if the credit carries us through the lower production time. Shoulda done this years ago.

We had a very good experience with SGE Solar. Met with a handful of local and national companies and these guys seemed to be way more knowlegable than the others. I asked them to show me 3 systems, good, better and best.. and we decided Sunpower (best) was clearly the option for us. Did not feel pressured at all.. was explained all of our options clearly.. they offered a no fee, low interest loan from a local credit union which was better than others showed, but we did finance on our own using a HELOC. Install happened 5 weeks after giving the go-ahead and we were interconnected with the grid about 2 weeks after that. Energy production has been higher than expected thus far. Highly reccomend SGE, or least talk with them as thier knowlege of all options was very impressive.

after they installed the panels they left a mess in the yard. The failed to put up snow gard to protect the season room on the deck. The first snow storm crushed the screen house. contacted then said we dont cover call your insurance co. would not recomed them to anyone

We had a small run-in with WMECO because power generation began before they had tested the system. This should and could have been avoided. That was the only mild negative. The company was professional and friendly at the same time. none

I would highly recommend Second Generation Energy. They were a joy to work with. They were professional, friendly and accomodating. They did very high quality work and always answered our questions or concerns in a timely manner.

Second Generation is a great company. They are very willing to explain everything in detail (and in laymen terms). They are very willing to listen to what you want and accommodate any concerns. I have never worked with a better contractor, and I put a second addition on to me house, but this process was easier and more pleasurable. I have already recommended this company to two of my friends, and I would recommend them to everyone. I can not speak any high of the people and the company.

I am so happy with my PV system. I don`t even know it`s there (except when the electric bill arrives!) SGR was great, it really seems like they actually like -and care about- what they are doing. Happy to recommend them to others.
