Sea Bright Solar (NJ)

I encountered a problem connecting my iPhone to the PVC of my solar system and sought assistance from the local office. The regional office informed me that they couldn't resolve the issue remotely and needed to send someone on-site to fix it. They quoted a charge of $275 after applying a $15 discount from the original price of $290. This proposal seemed unreasonable, and I couldn't accept it. I requested the email address for the parent company, and the following day, I received a phone call from Harley in New Jersey. Harley was very kind and helpful. Later that day, I could connect to the PVC and enter my password. I also received a follow-up call from Harley, and I am grateful for his eagerness to help, which ultimately saved me the $275 the regional office had proposed to charge. Again, thank you Harley!

Overall happy with system. Administrative process was made easy by SunPower. Install took about 4 months with wait on permits being biggest part. Actual installation was relatively quick. Panel installation was quick and efficient. Wiring by electrician took longer and was more aggravating (late, messy, caused some extra repair work for myself that I felt they should have been taken care of), complained a bit but seems to have mostly fell on deaf ears, otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Ultimately installation was completed and system is working good, already noticing producing much more electricity even on cloudy days than I use. Initial customer service was excellent and the assistance provided to get me through process. installation was mostly good but I obviously had some issues. Would do again.

I got my solar panels back in 2019 and knock on wood, no issues. Entire process from initiating a request to installation was smooth. The team did a great job on the entire process. I highly recommend SeaBright for your solar panel needs.

Sea Bright Solar was professional and helpful from the initial contact through installation. I appreciate how Keith didn't try to sell us a bigger system than we needed. The solar production now covers all of our electric, plus we get SREC checks. It has been a really good investment. We started looking into solar in February of 2022, got four quotes, went with Sea Bright and were beginning to generate by July. It's been almost a year of our generation, and so far we are incredibly pleased with the experience! We have a flat roof, which some of the providers we got quotes for didn'thave experience with, but it was no problem for Sea Bright. They estimated that we would generate about 90% of our electricity needs and after the first 10 months we are generating 86% so pretty darn close! One awesome thing about working with them is that you sign paperwork in the beginning to give them the authority to work directly with the electricity company and your city permit office so you as the homeowner really don't have to do any of the paperwork once you get the agreement signed with them. There were a few times I wish we had better communication- I was going to be traveling for work around the installation day and it was a little hard to coordinate. But mostly it's because they are doing all the paperwork and permits without you being involved so as the owner you sometimes feel unsure what's happening when the project is going fine. A quick email to our project manager was always enough to get the info we needed to plan, and it wasn't a big issue. You can shop around for loans with other providers or work with their financial arm - we went with their financial people because it was easiest but the terms seemed similar with most lenders. Overall we are really pleased with our choice. My kids love checking the app to see our generation and use, and we love doing something better for the environment!

Very quick and straight to work. No nonsense.

Been waiting for almost 3 weeks now. Nobody contacted me except for the sales department despite of asking for the service department to check my solar in my property. very unresponsive and keeps on saying we will go there to check but never went there to check.

Just celebrating our 12th anniversary with solar energy and our decision to use Sea Bright Solar was the right one! From Sales through Installation, the entire team gave us the best information and timely service. We love having a monthly electric bill under $5 and an annual check for our energy credits that covers a quarterly property tax payment. We highly recommend them!

So far the process is going very smoothly. Michael has been great in keeping me up to date and the paperwork. Hoping the install goes just as smoothly!

We contacted solar a month ago because my dad went through them. The beginning was fast they set us up with a rep we had our appointment and then nothing. Finally after a few emails and mainly on our end following up they said someone would come look at the roof but again now nothing. My dad said they would fix our roofing bc they fixed his for free before they put the panels on my mom they told her she would have to pay. Either way it’s been a month and no one has even looked at our roof since we’ve been approved.

It has been 5 months since I started the solar. The system produced only one third of the expected production. I called the customer service for 2 days and the answer was, leve your info and we will get back to you and of course no one did.

I was told by many Solar folks: "It is Free!" It took SEABRIGHT SOLARS KEITH GROFF (10) minutes to "dummy it down" for me in 'Civilian Speak' for me to understand what they all meant! Assure me when I say if you live in NJ, it is FREE... Although my System that I purchased outright "cost" $42,000.00 up front, my monthly savings exceeded my monthly payment from month #1. Now, (5) years later, it is 100% paid-off and I receive a check each month for the next (10) years for 250.00 AND my electric bill per month is $4.83 which is a connection fee! The system was paying for itself from the day SeaBright installed it! From the day Keith 'sold' me on the system until they day it was turned-on, they did not miss a beat! If I call Seabright, they get me answers (which is rare because of the excellent product quality and workmanship!) Keith picks up his cell any time I call even (5) years later! When we bought a large house in Jackson run entirely off electric and after paying $600-$700 a month for the first 5 months we lived there I knew I wanted to go solar and save money. I researched and interviewed just about every solar company in NJ for weeks, the big companies, small companies, and ultimately chose Sea Bright Solar. Here's why, Michael Trapani our solar consultant knew what he was doing and it was clear he has been doing it for a long time. When Michael first showed up the presentation was night and day difference from the competitors. There was no sales pitch, I knew what I wanted and he delivered every bit plus some. I wanted the best technology available, as much offset as possible, clean install, a production guarantee, and excellent service. Based on his advice and knowledge of the process, efficiency, production, size of the roof and position of the sun, approvals from the electric company, etc. that a 29,000kWh system would do it. Well, I have only paid $2.76 a month to the electric company since. He didn’t once try to sell me on outdated panels that were in inventory, have to justify and explain the pricing or solar costs, need to consult with anyone regarding the size of the system. It was simple, here’s what we can do, flat price per kWh with no annual price escalation, sign the contract, he handled the rest. I knew what he knew every step of the way, install dates, town inspections dates, connection dates and so on. He came out to house when the system was being installed to check on everything and the inspector said it was cleanest installs he has seen. I can’t recommend Michael and SunPower by Sea Bright Solar enough. I have already referred family and friends to Michael and every one of them have signed up after meeting and discussing the benefits with him.

We went through a thorough review of ~10 large and small installer and then chose SeaBright for the overall value and total cost of ownership (TCO) with Sun Power Equinox system. Not the cheapest but TCO will be much lower and ROI will be much higher when you the own the system after 3 years. One of the best experience in terms of install and complete process. Very profession install crew. Very supportive office staff and always willing to help and diagnose the problem as and when it occurs. After 3 years of install the feeling is that we made the right choice in terms of the product and installer and is the best decision for large ticket item purchase in last 25 years based on the quality of the product and workmanship.

I shopped around quite a bit for a reputable NJ installer. I was pleasantly surprised with Sea Bright Solar. They're a local company and they really care about making sure I was happy and understood the entire process of switching to solar. They were happy to answer all my questions and concerns (especially with roof leaks) and did a thorough inspection before applying for permits (which they did on my behalf). I never knew it'd be such a painless process but it really is with Sea Bright. I also have more reassurance knowing they use industry-leading Sun Power panels and are recognized as a master dealer for their installation practices and great service. I am recommending them to any of my friends and family who are considering the switch.

It''s a pretty straight forward process. I showed them my electric bill. Then figured out how much solar I need to cover 110% of my power usage. I wanted to leave room for more electrical up grades. Geo Spring Hot water heaters, Electric base board heating. Electric SUV. All said and done, I now produce all my own power and make money on the SREC market. I have zero electric bill. ($2.98 a month for connection fee JCP&L). Great group of guys, friendly and upfront on everything on the install process. Best Sun Power installers around.

Our solar panels were activated in January, 2017. Michael Trapani was our sales rep from the start of this process and he stayed with it right through the day we turned on the system. He is honest, reliable, and up front about what the solar process entails. Whenever we had any questions, Michael was there to answer them. I don''t know this for sure, but if you told me he leaps tall buildings in a single bound and had xray vision I would believe you. He was open, honest and was up front about everything when it came to our solar installation.
