Great for the environment and saving us money!

Rooftop Solar made it very easy and straightforward to install a solar system on our house. They did all the planning, permitting, and design, including working with APS, to get the system installed. Installation took only a single day, and the team was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Our electricity bill has been greatly reduced to less than a 1/4 of what it used to be, and is now just mostly just the fees and regulatory costs. We've had the system for over a year, and are extremely pleased with our decision to install solar with Rooftop.

All the people working for this company are friendly, helpful, conscientious, and masters at their work. I appreciated the no high pressure approach of the initial consultation. I felt so comfortable when all my questions were answered that I did not bother checking anyone else out. I had a person guiding me every step of the way and answering all my questions as the process evolved. They handled all the permits and approvals and kept me informed. The installation went off flawlessly ahead of schedule. Now I'm enjoying the use of the sun to help save the planet and keep my energy costs low. I would highly recommend this company to others.

excellent customer experience

We evaluated several companies who would install a solar energy system on our home's roof. After listening to all the sales presentations of which we had 4 we chose Rooftop Solar. Our sales person we very knowledgeable explaining the Solariz Power XT panels, the Enphase Q7 microinverters that were mounted behind each panel, The Enphase Combiner + with built in communication via cellular or WiFi, and even the solar panel mounting hardware. While all of these things were important we wanted to be sure that our solar panel system would provide reliable electrical power well into the future. We also learned about the financial incentives available through federal and state tax credits. Michelle Davis explained all of these things in detail in the comfort of our home. We never had the feeling that she was trying to pressure us to buy. We thought it over deciding that Rooftop met all our criteria for an investment in solar energy. Our project took about 4 months to complete. Vanessa Nefflen provided us with all the communications needed during our project along the way and Patrick Neese provided us with detailed answers to our questions as needed for taxes or systems operation. All in all this was an excellent customer experience

The decision to go solar was big for us and we wanted to do it right. Our experience with Rooftop Solar could not have been better. Their staff was knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. The entire project came in on time and on budget which rarely the case with any kind of contractor. Adam and Vanessa were there every step of the way to answer questions and keep us up to date on the progress of our project. Rooftop worked with both APS and the lender which made things so easy for us. We are so proud to be more sustainable and we have already recommended Rooftop Solar to several friends and colleagues.

professional and helpful

We had a great experience with Rooftop Solar in Flagstaff. They helped us get our solar installed at an accelerated pace to take advantage of state/utility incentives and were great at explaining the regulatory environment and the whole process to us. Adjusted our design to maximize the efficiency of the panels and avoid having the array stick up above our roofline. The installation itself was professional, it looks great, and everything has worked without hassle or trouble. Have had our panels for a year now and generated 99% of the electricity we used in the year! We had a few communications issues around some ancillary electric work we had Rooftop do for us at the same time--but it was eventually resolved, and we were very satisfied with the solar installation itself and the overall experience.

Don't use anyone else

Rooftop's expertise is only exceeded by their professionalism and attention. They take "making the customer happy" to a whole new level. Even beyond that is their sheer overabundance of friendliness. The experience from beginning to end was nothing short of remarkable.

We checked out options from a handful of companies and chose Rooftop Solar because they were local and we trusted the sales rep. We were beyond happy with the entire process from signing the contract to flipping the switch. DYI With Rooftop Solar

I asked my local Rooftop Solar folks to help me install grid-tied solar on my house. I'm experienced with electrical work and solar systems as part of my work. I didn't use Rooftop as an installer, but more as project management. They were very happy to do things how I wanted to do it. I asked Rooftop to create stamped plans and order parts for me in order to streamline permitting and save time on sourcing bits. The folks at Rooftop discussed options with me, produced plans that my county permitting office accepted readily and helped organize things with the local power company. Once I completed the install, Rooftop sent one of their licensed electricians to check my work (always a good idea). They were always quick to respond to my questions with helpful information. It may have been less expensive to do it all myself, but using Rooftop solar for some tasks saved me a lot of time. Having experts to help navigate building codes and power company requirements was very valuable.

Rooftop Solar

It was a fine, sunny September day in 2015 when our new Rooftop Solar system came online and started generating power. Since then, we've had 2 1/2 years of continuous operation. We generate enough solar powered electricity to cover 100% of our electrical usage and a bit extra. We started the process of going solar in late April 2015. A representative of Rooftop Solar knocked on my door on a Saturday morning and asked if I'd be interested in learning more about going solar. He left me some information and followed up by email a few days later to schedule a meeting with me and my wife. As much as I like the fact that, by going solar, we've significantly reduced our carbon footprint, the pragmatic side of my very much appreciates the financial benefits. Including tax and other incentives, our system cost about $10K. Assuming the system runs for 20 years, we should see a bet savings in electrical utility costs of about $23K. In addition, the Rooftop Solar addition increases the value of our house, which can be realized if we ever decide to sell. Rooftop Solar worked closely with us throughout the process. Their staff was professional, the materials they provided were clear, complete and easy to understand. Rooftop Solar got all the permits, handled all the coordination with our local utility to review and approve the plan, inspect the installation and get final approval to bring the system online. The process took as long (4 months) as we'd been told, at the outset. Much of the installation happened while we were traveling on a family vacation. When the system came online in late September 2015, it was fun to use the online monitoring system to generate reports and follow along as we made electricity. What can I say, other than this has been a 100% satisfactory experience. We've significantly reduced our utility costs, improved our home, increased its value and, best of all, we're doing our small part to preserve and protect the environment. Rooftop Solar rocks!

Rooftop was great. In spite of some twists I threw their way, (like an accident that put my finances on hold) they worked through everything with me. I have waited until now, my 3rd monthly bill to report... My electric bill has dropped from about $150 per month to about $18. I am delighted with the solar panels, the service Rooftop supplied, and their helpful serivce.

Fantastic Experience

From initial contact to installation, this was an easy, productive and totally comfortable experience. I did not feel pressured or intimidated and was able to get all questions and concerns addressed in a thoughtful and polite manner. I felt like we were friends with every person we came in contact with and the care and concern did not end with installation. I had questions about the amount of our APS bill after installation and Patrick was amazingly helpful and attentive to my issues. This is an excellent company with a stellar group of employees.

Couldn't ask for more

From the start, I felt that Rooftop Solar was more interested in helping me fill my specific needs than in selling me a solar installation. All of their staff are friendly and knowledgable, or immediately put me in touch with the right person when they couldn't answer a question. The actual work was done when promised, and when I had technical confusion for the first few months, they were always ready to walk me through my difficulties. I would (and do) recommend them at every opportunity.

Couldn't have been better

A few words to describe the Rooftop Solar team: professional, courteous, thorough, responsive, excellent. Their job site was clean, and the installers were great: no swearing, drinking, or smoking occurred on the job site. Throughout the sales, negotiation, permitting, and installation processes, we were consistently kept up-to-date on the progress of our project. What more can be said

Don't trust what you read on the internet. Most reviews are either written by competitors seeking advantage, or shills for unscrupulous companies ready to soak unwitting rubes with money. You simply can't trust what you read. Given that backdrop - what could I say to convince you to work with Rooftop Solar? That over the time they installed my system - I got to know the guys - Daniel, Jay, Patrick, Sergio - and I still remember their names a year later - and I came to trust them, and expect the best from them personally. I work from home - so I got to see them doing the installation, interacting with APS, and handling my questions (I'm an electrical engineer, so I might have some vague understanding of what they were doing). Never once did I worry they were doing something that wouldn't turn out. Never once did I get an explanation that didn't make sense. So look - you can count this 5-star rating as your typical Yelp-style - "Oh yea, plusplusplus, great job, blah blah," with absolutely zero thought put into it to counteract someone's scathing bad-experience retort. If I had to do it again - I would do it with Rooftop. I would recommend Rooftop. If you want to come with Rooftop people to my home and look at my installation - feel free. I got what I paid for. All expectations met (and they were high). Go somewhere else at your own peril.
