Was referred to a RTP by a close friend of mine who spoke highly of their work and I was very happy I took their referral as RTP has been nothing but great for us. Our point of contact for sales, Sheena, was fantastic. At no point during the process did we feel as though anything was being forced onto us, no aggressive pitch strategies, and no smoke & mirrors. Sheena was super accommodating with changes, questions, or concerns we had about the project and really went out of her way to make it known that they weren't just trying to make a quick buck and run up bill with unnecessary expenses. Our project manager Ally kept us updated before, during, and after the build which was super helpful to know where we stood in the process and what to expect. There were a couple additional requests made by our electric company and Ally & her team were on it with responses in minutes when I received notification of request for further documentation. Our install team (Austin, Andy, Oscar, Armanny) were in and out super fast. There were no issues with the install, they were all very respectful of our property, were friendly to our dogs, and played good music! They did a great job of cleaning up what was a pretty large project and circled around several times to make sure they grabbed anything that might've been missed. All and all I am really glad I went with them - had no issues getting my tax credits and was exactly what they said it'd be. Will 100% use them in the future if we add more solar panels or a battery!

From the moment we decided to have RTP handle our solar installation, we have been well informed about every aspect of the process. We have received texts, emails or calls about what to expect for each step including the financing, installation and inspections. Everyone has been professional, friendly and knowledgeable, which is so hard to find these days. They are a local company which is also reassuring. We highly recommend RTP.

Was I unsure about going solar? No doubt, especially after two offsetting experiences with other companies. I was ready to forget it when someone put me in touch with Sheena. By that time, I had developed some pressing questions and concerns, and sometimes I had to ask Sheena twice to be sure I was getting it right. As it turns out, Sheena was a game-changer. She is not pushy. She doesn’t have to be! Her comprehensive understanding of how the solar program works, coupled with her confidence in her company, is a winning combination. She gave me the space I needed to see for myself, not just with rhetoric but with examples, charts, and various displays. None of my questions were left unanswered, especially considering some uncommon challenges others were not willing or unable to address. Always there for me, Sheena has been my anchor throughout the duration of our collaboration. When completing the project, all came together just as presented to me. As for me, I always felt I was in good hands, and now my satisfaction gives proof.

Had my inspection today and andy was on time and professional. He handled my inspector well and was very forthcoming and informative about what the inspector was looking for. Katy and Tonia scheduled everything and kept me well informed. Overall experience was very good.

From the beginning everyone at RTP kept me informed at every step on what would happen next and when. And then followed through on that plan. Very skeptical at first probably like everyone else. The sales team with Dylan, answered all my questions from the actual solar panels and equipment to the service and warranty I would expect. He was outstanding knowledgeable and readily available for my many calls. As for the team the electricians Ray and Jarret went the extra mile for panel placement, conduit hidden very well wiring in the attic on a hot day. Both extremely knowledgeable for many more questions. The roofers Jason and Juan were neat did a fantastic job and I am pleased with the appearance. 6 hours installed perfectly. Unfortunately the slowest process waiting for RI Energy to change out my meter. I would highly recommend RTP over anyone else. They truly are a team.

ROOFTOP was able to secure insurance funds to replace my roof. However, due to some glitches in the office, the roof shingles were put on without the needed plywood subsurface I reported that the shingles were looking very poorly and ROOFTOP came out to repair, not believing what I thought needed to be done, which was to replace the roof, but once they realize that the shingles were installed without the sub plywood base, it was quickly corrected. Other than that they’re an excellent company.

I can’t say enough about the service from Rooftop Power. They were very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. They tell you what to expect during each phase, and they take care of all the leg work. There was absolutely nothing I was required to do. Installation was very professional, and the solar panels were placed very neatly and uniformly on the roof. Every aspect of this company from start to finish was top-notch.

We bought out hone about 8 months ago and starting talking about goin solar. I was sitting in my barber shop on day and my barber mentioned how he had recently gone solar and he was very excited about the whole program He showed me an app on his phone that showed a complete monitoring system. I reached out to Roof Top Power and set an appointment. A few days later I had a solar rep sitting in my house going over the benefits of solar! From the sale to the install and now the inspection from the town, everything has gone very smooth! I highly recommend Roof Top Power! I also highly recommend Sam Kerby, my sales consultant!

Very professional. Were able to answer all technical questions and they handled all of the paperwork. Installation was flawless and quick once approved. The solar unit continues to work without issues.

When I started on this journey, I was put in touch with Scott Brown. He explained everything clearly to me for every step of the process (including after an after install question). The team of guys who did the electrical and the install, Evan, Austin, Tanner, Kyle and Hyrum - were great. Any question I had during the course of the day, they answered. The company has communicated with me on every step of the process. They took care of everything. I just received our final inspection approval today and I'm just waiting on the electric company to install the meter so my system can be turned on. Overall, I am very pleased with my dealings with RTP and highly recommend them.

It was great working with Dexter and the team at Rooftop Power. We started the process back in October, looking through the plan and making sure I understood all of it before signing up. They walked me through all aspects and the scheduling of the install was easy, the install only took about half a day and the crew was great. My experience with Roof Top Power has been excellent and straightforward from the start. Marcus came by a couple of times after scouting out my home as having good solar potential, and he explained the whole process. The next steps were seamless and quick, and now I have solar panels! Using the app, I can easily see the energy being produced so I can be sure things are working. And I know that Marcus or the office personnel are available if I were to need anything.

There’s a lot of solar companies out there, some more pushy than others, so I checked out several places online. Looked at reviews, asked for quotes. We ended up going with Rooftop. Here’s why I would recommend them: local RI company with a solid reputation, competitive pricing, and informative (NOT pushy) salesmanship. Everyone from the owner to the office staff to the installers were friendly, professional and worked hard to keep us updated on the project. They were transparent about installation wait times (though we got ours put in earlier than estimated!). I really have no complaints. They made it a good experience to go solar!

Do not hire rooftop power company to install solar unless you have a written agreement to complete in negotiated time. They are poor in communicating with customer unless they want something. Project has stated 15 months ago and still not in production.

Great experience dealing with Rooftop Power! Right from the beginning Dexter was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly and made it so easy to understand the process for installing solar panels. There was never any pressure to purchase but rather Dexter would make sure that all of our questions and concerns were addressed. On the day of installation we were so impressed with the crew: Evan, Ryan, Jason, Colin, and Melvin. They were very personable and respectful and even finished in one day leaving our yard spotless. We would highly recommend RTP if you are changing to solar panels and with Dexter’s expertise the end result is perfection.

We ended the year going solar. Our National Grid bill is next to nothing. The process was smooth, and our salesperson Dexter was awesome. So far everything they claimed has come true, which surprised this doubter. LOL I feel like we're doing something good for the environment and saving at the same time. And I'm all about more money in my pocket.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Rooftop Power! Dexter walked us through the entire process and we were kept updated with regular emails and texts. They made it completely smooth and painless to go solar and we could not be happier. Within a few weeks we already wiped out our energy bill and and we're helping the environment in the process!

* * * * * * * * * * * W A R N I N G * * * * * * * * * * * If you want to go solar that is awesome and I applaud you, but whatever you do, DO NOT CHOOSE Rooftop Power. RTP is an UNTRUSTWORTHY company! Our panels were installed early 2020 on a new roof. July 9, 2021, 4 leaks on the roof started under the panels. They sent out someone out who poorly sealed shingles together in trying to fix the leaks. August 5, 2021, 3 of the 4 leaks were back with an additional 2! It is now October and these leaks are still ongoing on top of there now being mold!!! All Rooftop Power has done is try to pass the buck and not honor their warranty! They have even gone to the extent of trying to convince us to commit insurance fraud with our own homeowner's insurance! Our insurance company gave us a list of reputable and trustworthy roofing experts. I personally went on the roof and was shown by the professionals the following: - When RTP put their Flashings from the solar installation under the shingles, they never sealed those shingles back once it was installed, on any of them. - The edges were sealed incorrectly by RTP when they came out on July 14, 2021. RTP sealed the shingles on the edge together. If you’re going to seal it, it needs to be sealed to the drip edge or starter strip. Sealing them together is detrimental to the shingles because they will not be able to expand and contract with the heat/cold. RTP should know this as they claim to be roofing experts. - There are also at least a dozen places where RTP missed the rafters during install, which are clearly visible in the attic. Seeing some of the same things that are consistent from one side(the side where the leaks are and the panels were removed by RTP) to the other(the side that still has panels on it), it is not only clear to me, but to the trusted professionals that came out, that the roof in its entirety needs to be replaced. Again, this is due to the poor installation of the panels and the horrid sealing job that was done by RTP. They are refusing to fully repair and remediate their mistakes! !!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM RTP !!!!!!

If you are thinking about going solar, Rooftop Power is the company to choose. Rooftop's representative, Dexter, was pleasant and quite easy to work with. The install was quick and I started generating my own power immediately.

I would NOT recommend RTP to anyone. After reaching out to the company several times to get the electrical work redone because they never spoke to us about our options of installing the electrical conduit, we were given a complete fabrication of what occurred that day between us, the panel installers & electrician. The electrician took major shortcuts and did the work he felt like doing that day, leaving it to be a major eyesore on our house. The panel installers (who were wonderful) actually told us that the electrician was supposed to talk to us on how we wanted the conduit run, but instead the electrician said "I'm not going through the attic, it's too hot out", so he did it the way he wanted to, then rang our doorbell to tell us it was done and showed my husband the work. At that point, my husband thought that was our only option and wasn't pleased about it, but didn't bring anything up because he thought that was our only option. After the electrician left, that is when one of the installers approached both of us and told us exactly what happened, and said that we could easily get it changed if we contacted RTP before our inspections with National Grid and the town took place. When we called, we were met with nothing but obstacles and lies by the office team and project manager; we're in complete disbelief. After reiterating to them that we are spending 30K on a solar investment we want the work done right, we were told our only options are to 1) have the conduit painted for free, or 2) to pay out of pocket for the electrician to come back and redo the work, and it would be expensive and take time because they're booked out. Again, I would NOT RECOMMEND RTP to anyone. Please do your research and find another solar company when making such a large investment.

I received a couple quotes from different solar companies but Rooftop power was the only one that provided the national grid solar program that pays me to go solar.

Kudos RTP !
