We had Robco install our solar a few years ago. The process was smooth, they were well-priced, and we are very happy with the system. Recently, Krystal from Robco contacted me to tell me my system had disconnected from the WiFi. She sent me instructions on how to reconnect it myself and even offered to come over and fix it if I couldn’t figure it out. It’s important to stay connected to the WiFi so you know if something is not operating correctly and needs to be fixed. Robco’s customer service is top-notch. I am impressed that even years later, they are still watching out for me.

I had solar installed by these guys two years ago. I went with them because they were honest and straightforward from the beginning. No sales pitch or someone trying to capture my business before the next guy got to me. Estimate, timeframe and final cost based on my pay structure was all they provided. No upgrades or extras were even proposed. And even to this day, they still touch base to make sure everything is still aligned and the system is working as it should. I highly recommend if you’re looking for quality, honest work. There’s a reason they’re still in business after all this time.

This is one of those reviews where (if possible), I'd give Robco Electric more than five stars on their Solar installation / service. We did a lot of research before we pulled the trigger on Solar. We did a deep dive on leasing versus purchasing, equipment differences and post installation service. We had actually contracted with a different firm, but after we found out the sales rep misrepresented the equipment they were going to install - we cancelled. After that, we reached-out to two other companies - one of which was Robco. After comparing all of the metrics as well as the reviews, we ended up purchasing a system from Robco. From the presentation and design with Jorge, through the approval process with our HOA, to obtaining permits, they were on top of it all. We initially met with Jorge on May 12th. All approvals were obtained and Mike and his installation crew showed up on May 26th. These guys actually showed up early and worked like a well greased machine. The job was completed by mid afternoon, including the painting of conduit and solar emergency shut-off to match the stucco on my home. They even left me with extra roof tiles in case we needed them in the future. After the installation, the building inspector scheduled time to come by and sign-off on the permit. Of course, there were no problems there. The funny thing was that I can be a bit chatty and in talking to the inspector, he stated in summary that if he were were going to put solar on his personal home - or needed an electrical repair, Robco is the one company he would call. I thought that was quite an endorsement. That last installation piece was for NV Energy to come out and replace the meter with one that can export unused solar energy back out to the grid; that was done on June 18th. From start to finish, Jorge, Mike and all of the guys at Robco exceeded our expectations. We would wholeheartedly recommend them for your Solar (or electrical repair) needs.

Highly recommend

I highly recommend Robco for your solar needs. From the first phone call, any questions I had about solar was treated with great consideration and was later provided by Steve. For instance, Steve went over our potential system, explained the potential output, maintenance, and any concerns we had about installation. Robco also made it a point to not disway us from shopping around; he actually encouraged me to have the meeting and gave us ample time to consider options. I found that so refreshing and it told me they were confident in the value they provided. Once I notified him that we were gonna go with them, the inspectors were out making sure the breaker box and roof were OK. Everyone was so nice and considerate to the point where I didn't feel like I had to be home the whole time. Once that is done, Steve quickly notified me of our install date before later receiving an email with the offical details. Day of installation, Alfonso and his crew continued the trend of being thoughtful and nice. From beginning to end the solar installation was done within two days, and at the end of each a progress update was provided. Alfonso also let me know that somebody would be out to paint the piping alongside my house and when the final inspection would be conducted. After that, it was just waiting on Nevada power to change out my meter which also was faster than anticipated. Overall, I would highly recommend Robco. From the answering of the phone, setting up the appointments, the installation and inspection crew - you cannot go wrong in choosing Robco!

I got three other competing quotes before choosing Robco Electric, and I’m really glad I went with them. Chelsey was my consultant and she was extremely helpful throughout the process. She provided lots of information, answered my questions clearly, and made everything feel straightforward instead of overwhelming. Armando and his crew did the installation and they were excellent — the install was completed in just 2 days, and everything was done in a clean, professional, and organized way. The workmanship looked solid and they left everything neat when they finished. Overall, great experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Robco Electric if you’re considering solar.

Solar Installation

After watching the news and all the horror stories about inept or fraudulent solar companies, we did a lot of research on which company would be best for us. We eventually narrowed it down to three companies, and set appointments with each. All three looked good, but then we checked out a few installations done by each company, and this narrowed it down to two. I'm sure either would have been fine, but we liked what Robco offered slightly better. We couldn't be happier. Our project manager, Steven, was on top of everything throughout the entire project, and it went as painlessly as could possibly be expected. When everything was all completed, their QC manager, Juan, who was doing one last check, noticed that one of the panels was slightly shaded by a nearby vent in the late afternoon. They brought this to our attention and asked if they could come back and move the panel to better location - all at no charge. In addition, what impressed us even more was their attention to detail. All the conduit was routed through the attic instead across the roof like our neighbors; what conduit does show was painted to match the color of the house; nice, aesthetically pleasing pigeon guards were installed instead of the unsightly chicken wire used by other companies; and when the job was completed, another crew came out to clean the panels and remove any debris left on the roof. I'm more than happy to give them our highest recommendation!

Great results

I decided our electric bill was too expensive and wanted to evaluate three different vendors. Robco’s design was the most thorough and their cost was in the middle of the three quotes. I am very satisfied with the installation and follow through from them including repairing a leftover water leak several months after completion. I have had no issues with Robco and any question was readily answered and their paperwork to assist in getting our federal tax credit was very welcomed. I am very pleased with Robco and give them a high recommendation.

Robco Electric is the real deal!

We chose RobCo Solar and worked with Rok Dominko. After reading dozens of BBB reviews from several solar companies, we consulted with 3 different providers. We got quotes, some higher and some a bit lower. Understand this; price is not the only factor when choosing solar. Quality, reputation, service after the sale, and longevity in the business, make a big difference also. When getting solar quotes, make certain they are quoting the same equipment. Microinverters are the soul of a solar system. Try to get the best you can afford. It matters. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the various types. Expensive does not mean better. We purchased top of the line equipment. The staff who installed our system are actual employees, not sub-contracted. They were prompt, polite, friendly, and most of all, efficient. It was obvious these guys were professionals and really knew what they were doing. More importantly, they didn't destroy my roof when installing the panels, as I experienced from another company, "Quality First Home Improvement", previously used in California, who did; costing me thousands in water, HVAC, fence, and tile damage. They did not honor their warranty or service. It took RobCo 3 days to install our system, being mindful of their presence and local impact. They were neat, and kept the area cleaned up. Robco kept me informed and up to date on every stage. This Enphase system is producing as expected with (34) 425 watt Silfab panels, and 34 Enphase IQ8A microinverters. With 2 pool pumps, 2 HVAC units a battery charger, and a nearly 3600 sq. ft. 2 story home, our energy needs are considerable. We purchased as much solar power as NV Energy will permit without getting special exemptions. While they do offer special financing and maybe even leasing, we chose to pay cash instead. As a prior solar owner, before moving to Vegas, my power bills were but $11.00 pr month, with an annual true-up of around $1000.00. That amounts to around $94.00 a month. It will take a year to realize my net savings here, as I had no prior months, or years energy bill to compare with. As energy costs continue to skyrocket, solar just makes sense. Unless there are frequent brownouts or grid failures, as we experienced in California, back up batteries are pointless here in Nevada. RobCo Electric is the real deal. No gimmicks. They are up front about everything. They educate, inform, and advise. They fully document, inform, engineer, and follow through on every stage of the process. I was comfortable with having them in and on my home and property. I recommend RobCo to anyone seeking a Solar Option.

Exceptional

Absolutely flawless from beginning to end, every step of the way, from the installers to the processing of the permits, to the quickness of getting me on the grid, I can’t say enough about this company. I literally took about 10 proposals, from Sun run, Solup, Idependent Solar, Cooper Roofing and Solar, and various others. Their price was reasonable, but ultimately I went with the company I knew had a fantastic reputation in the community and was stand behind their product, extremely impressed and would recommend this solar company above all others in this area. I am in Henderson, Nevada, They use quality Q cell 425 W panels, and independent phase inverters, each panel has their own inverter, which I researched and found to be the better way to go that a string inverter. If a string inverter goes down your whole system goes down, if one inverter malfunctions, the rest are still producing energy. Robco is the best ever solar company. This company has a very good reputation and very reliable. After years of researching, we finally decided to go with Robco. We received several quotes from different companies. But Robco’s pricing is very competitive and they also had the highest quality panels with excellent warranty. Our best ever solar consultant Steven Araneta was amazing. Steven was a seasoned industry expert that actually knew how to answer all of the questions I posed. He is very honest and communicative. He followed through with everything, always responsive, communicated well and was very patient. Look for Steven Araneta if you want to receive the highest quality of customer service. Steven made the entire process fast and smooth. We really appreciate all your help Steven. Their install crews were very nice and polite They’re always on time. They were very clean and organized. The install was very clean. Overall, Robco did what was promised quickly and completely. We’re very happy. We are looking forward to a reduced utility bill soon.

Carlos is my hero. Recently I had several panels that were not reporting correctly and have been that way for sometime. Carlos came out and diagnosed the problems (plural). I can’t thank him enough for his dedication, professionalism and knowledge to finally diagnose and repair the situation. Carlos is a true gentleman who diagnosed and repaired this very complex situation. I highly recommend Robco.

Great experience and results

We had RobCo install our solar system in 2017. We got three other quotes and not only was RobCo the cheapest, they also had the highest quality panels. In the 6 years since we have had any issues. I've heard several stories from friends about issues they had with other companies. Things like pigeon proofing and painting the conduit to match the home exterior included with RobCo were apparently addons with other companies.

Solar review

Robco was the company we chose after getting a few estimates. Though the solar rates were fairly competitive, we are very happy with choosing Robco. Rok was very helpful in explaining the process and always available for any questions we had throughout the process. Carlos H. (Foreman) was incredible - he updated me frequently on progress, any hinderances such as wind or rain and gave me realistic expectations. He replaced all roof tiles, painted the electrical to match the tiles and went above and beyond throughout the process. I cannot recommend Rok, Carlos and the entire Robco company enough as a whole if you are looking to go solar!

Exceptional company

As a homeowner who researched for 2 years before going solar this company by far is the best. It is the only company that explained the installation process, gave realistic expectations, was reachable, and followed through with everything they said… on top of beating any other competitor by thousands. Jorge is the rep who helped us. Excellent customer service and really knowledgeable. You will not regret using this company. We were in Costco yesterday where sunrun is and they asked who we used and they said nothing but great things about their own competitor!!!!

Great service and installation

Robco Electric installed solar on my house several months ago, and did a great job. The sales consultant Steven A patiently led me through the nuts and bolts of it, as well as drafting several iterations of the layout until I was satisfied. Installation went quite smoothly; there were some minor adjustments at the end, but Rob always responded promptly and got everything in smooth running order. The app that links the system is intuitive to use, and easy to check how it is running. I am very satisfied with Robco's work, and would recommend them to anyone considering solar.

Zoom meeting with Steven Araneta explained Solar in detail

After researching solar panels I contacted 3 companies for information and proposals. After a Zoom meeting with Steven Araneta with Robco I invited him into our home to repeat the meeting with my husband. He answered our questions with competence and we knew this was the company to go with. Steven followed through with everything, always responsive, communicated well and was patient. Robco handled all the paperwork for permits and HOA approvals. All I had to do was deliver the form to our HOA. The installation was on time, the crew led by Carlos were professional, considerate about safety, cleanliness and very polite. They also were knowledgeable and explained details. This process was less than 2 days. After the panels were installed and before they were running we had a heavy rain. In the morning we found water leaked from the attic, thinking it was a roof leak, I called Steven and he had 2 roofers out to our house within a couple hours. Tyson and his associate inspected everything in detail, took pictures and even made a 3rd trip into the attic with my husband. These 2 young men were professional, clean, polite and concerned. End result the water was an air conditioning issue, nothing to do with the solar installation. Robco has included a Wi-Fi app that monitors consumption, kWh produced and tracking each panel is in working order. We are looking forward to a reduced utility bill soon. Reliable, Professional, High-Quality Service and Panels

I loved working with Robco. I researched about 20 companies before deciding which one to go with. I even specifically chose Robco over another company that was about $2,000 cheaper, just because I got a much better vibe from them. I'm so glad I did. The entire process was seamless, I didn't have to worry about anything, and their crews were always on time (or early!) and ready to go. I got both solar panels and electrical work done with them. They handled all the permits and paperwork. The final solar product looks fantastic and is so much nicer looking than some of my neighbors. love the way Robco does their pigeon guard (they use flashing rather than chicken wire), attic runs the cables, and paints anything that can't be attic run. I literally cannot recommend them enough.

Great company to work with for Solar

After doing some initial homework I was initially going to go with another installer in the area but was really looking for a local company to do the work. I feel by using a local company that has been in the industry for a while will provide for long term support of what they do. Plus having a Nevada Based/Las Vegas based company is a great thing to support. When I met with Robco I knew they were the one to do this work. Not only being in the solar business, having their own crew (not outsourcing it), but also providing other electrical related work was a winner as they would fully understand what is needed for a great install. First, I would like to acknowledge Krystal, from the start she was great with providing information on solar, how it works, what Robco would do during the install and answered any question I had. She was also very prompt on responding back when a question would arise. Thank you for great support/service. Something I really appreciate in any company and would pay the extra price for this. Top notch service! Second, would acknowledge the great team on install. They were able to do the full install in one day, a very clean install with hiding the electrical wires through the attic, the metal work that was used to protect against pigeons/birds from nesting under the panels (no nets, but actual metal work) and finishing it off with painting the pipes that were needed on the side hooking up to the electrical panel/boxes. The crew was fun and entertaining as well and really looked to be a great team of installers for Robco. Lastly, From the professional and detailed quotes, setting expectations on how the process would work and being right on during the whole process, along with the quality of the products they installed (LG, Enphase), this company really was great to work with and did a great job. I would highly recommend them not only for solar work but also any electrical work you may have as I did have them do additional electrical work on my properly and did a great job at that and very reasonable pricing for that as well. The overall pricing for the install was comparable with the other big installer in the Las Vegas area and they even where able to meet the same quoted price from their quote. Thank you to the Robco Team for a great install (cannot say it enough) and really look forward to the solar system we purchased and had installed by them and of course a long relationship with what looks to be a great company for the long haul. Best in Las Vegas for solar!

After two years of research, we chose Robco Electric for our residential solar. During those two years, I called back some of the "big names" in solar that had strong ratings and I can't tell you how many times they had either been acquired by another big name, the sales rep I was dealing with had moved on, or they didn't have offices in Las Vegas anymore and transferred me to someone in Chicago or LA. I knew then that I wanted a company who would answer the phone five years from now and be over to fix any problems within a day. That's the local company Robco guarantee that makes me comfortable with my investment. After working with them, I can't tell you how impressed I am with their service and professionalism. When the inspector came out to approve the system, they said, "Oh, Robco. Someone did their homework. Good choice." That pretty much summed it up.

ROBCO - EXCELLENCE IN PERORMANCE

ROBCO RECOMMENDATION We initially recognized the need to take control of our electric costs. To do that we needed to consider solar electrical panel power generation. We researched several firms using the internet. We also talked with neighbors that currently use solar power systems. We than checked out several firms using the Nevada State Building Board to see if they were properly licensed and had no outstanding or prior litigation against them. We then checked with the Better Business Bureau to see what kind of rating they had. Once we narrowed our firms of interest, we checked on subsequent firms costs. We also used the internet solar calculation check to get a broad range estimate. Our selection of Robco was not based on only cost as they were not the cheapest. As a General Contractor, I know the lowest proposal is not always the best contractor. After interviewing Jorge Saal of Robco we were satisfied they would do an excellent job. We were very satisfied with their installation crews work, both courteous, professional and expeditious. Once the work was completed we were very happy that Robco educated us on the systems and coordination with the Building Inspectors work. I am glad I chose Robco Electric

I cannot say enough good things about Robco Electric and the process in getting solar for our home. Our salesperson, Krystal, was honest, down to earth, and knowledgeable. We met with several salesman that came to our door. I finally called Krystal as a result of positive reviews. I am glad I did. She educated us about the other offers we received and how Robco was different. We committed to Robco. We were given dates for install and instructions on the process- Everything went exactly as described! If you are interested in going Solar, call Robco. I am glad I did.

6.5 kW system and main panel upgrade

We had Robco install a solar system for us. We were very happy with both price and service. And the panels look great! The details: The system size they recommended was very much in-line with other bidders and with Google Project Sunroof and our actual power use (calculated by me). Their price was in-line with several other bidders and much lower than our highest priced bidder. Robco solely uses microverters. I felt this was the correct way to install solar. Robco doesn't use those wandering salesmen, so their overhead is lower. I like the fact that they are also electricians. That way I know all code is followed and they know what they are doing. I had them upgrade the main panel for my house at the same time. All the people I came in contact with, from the coordinator to the electricians, to the installers, all were very professional. I was treated with respect and was never talked down to. I appreciate the education that came with the install. One month later the system is working as well as promised. And I love the bird guards. We highly recommend Robco Electric

After seeing other positive reviews we decided to give Robco Electric a call about our solar install. I had preconceived ideas about what was needed, but our point of contact Krystal, educated me on every detail and step necessary to have a system that was appropriate for our home. I thought the more panels you have the better, but she explained why that was not a good idea. Installation was scheduled quickly and install was completed in one day. They handled all the paperwork for permits and HOA. We would use Robco electric again and we highly recommend Robco Electric for your solar installation.

This company and the people were great to work with.

Robco was the only company out of the 5 that I got quotes from that was willing to educate me on the different types of solar systems and the positive / negative aspects of each. It didn't feel like a sales pitch trying to sell their product as the "only and best option." If you are going solar please educate yourself on the systems and their capabilities for your current situation and for future needs and owners of your home when you sell it.

Solar Panels

We had some friends refer Robco to install solar panels. From start to finish the project was handled very professionally. They explained everything thoroughly, kept us informed throughout the process, completed phases on time, and was very thorough throughout the process. All team members were pleasant to work with from the sales team to the installers. They checked in and responded in a timely manner to all questions.
