Great installation, poor communication

Loved the crews who came to work on the house! The structural carpenters, electricians, installers on the roof -- professional, friendly and cleaned up beautifully. Problems occurred with the scheduling and communications. It took a lot of pushing on my part to get the work scheduled. Project managers changed, and the new ones seemed ill-informed about previous conversations. Then the guy who came to look at the attic claimed he had looked, but the pictures he provided were old ones that we had supplied and didn't reflect its current state. Whenever they were scheduled, the crews arrived right on time, so no complaints there. The final inspection seemed to take too long, so I called the city -- their inspector had come and waited, but the email canceling Revision's attendance apparently hadn't gotten to him. If I hadn't called and asked, and then informed Revision, we would still be waiting. That tells me that if the email canceling with the inspector was actually sent, there was no follow-up by Revision to make sure the inspection got rescheduled. Every time, they seemed genuinely concerned about the problem and responded quickly and professionally, so support is good. Given how excellently their work is rated by others and how nice our installation looks to this layperson, it's a shame that their teams communicate so poorly internally and externally if they are not in person. I would still recommend Revision for the quality and speed of the actual work. Just don't assume things are moving -- follow up.

Revision Energy is wonderful. Responsive, friendly, helpful and efficient. They fully explained the process and answered questions promptly.

We had three heat pumps installed in our homes. The quality of the installations was exceptional and the price was very fair, considering the quality of the work done. They also, made an effort to accommodate my extenuating circumstances—they completed the install the day my wife went into labor!

Revision Energy Inc's. company quality is demonstrated by its longevity- which is unusual among solar companies. Examples of the longevity benefit: 1. Revision replaced a failed inverter under warranty at year 5 - within a couple days of the call; 2. Some of the same employees that installed my system in 2019 worked on a new project at another location in 2026; 3. their experienced installers expended the effort to understand an unusual roof structure of the new project. These are experienced professionals in this business for the long haul.

In 2006, EnergyWorks, the precursor of ReVision, installed solar collectors for hot water, solar panels and an inverter for us. Over the years since then, we have made some upgrades and additions, for example a battery, inverters and more panels, and have always felt extremely satisfied with the service and the staff. From the beginning, the staff have bent over backwards to make paperwork easy and to fix problems. The people who work at ReVision are knowledgeable and well trained, and they are unfailingly a pleasure to deal with. That has been true from before and after ReVision's transition to an employee owned company. There are many more solar installation and service businesses available now than there were in 2006, but we will stick with ReVision. They have earned our admiration and trust.

If you are looking for a partner to help navigate the complexities of long-term energy security, I cannot recommend ReVision Energy highly enough. Our journey with them began in 2021 with a 15kW (effective) solar array and two heat pumps, and their professionalism has kept us coming back as our needs evolved. Since that initial project, they’ve seamlessly integrated a third heat pump into our setup and, most recently, installed 15kW battery systems for both our home and a relative’s property. Here is why they stand out: Solving Real-World Problems: One of the most significant benefits of the battery installation was the ability to retire an old generator. Professional, careful, thoughtful, transparent, informative

My experience with Revision was so positive. Everyone they sent to carefully assess my site was informative, careful, thoughtful and professional. They answered every question I had with patience, they explained each step thoroughly, they were kind and understanding, and made every effort to not only make the system work well, but also look right on my historic home and give me a realistic view of the project. If there needed to be changes, they explained what they were going to do and why it was necessary. I found the entire process incredibly transparent and informative, and got assistance all the way from the initial interaction to the tax rebate process at the end. I have recommended their services and expertise to many people in our area.

Overall, we are happy with the service as so far there isn’t any issues yet since we just started last year. I do want to give a big shoutout to Rachel, who always goes above and beyond! Even my inquiries aren’t in the area she handles, she always tries to find an answer and gives us the update.

Hopefully you never need service

My solar system went down on June 28, It is not August 5 and the projected site visit from the company is October. In the two years the system was installed it has gone down twice during peak production season. While the first issue was resolved in about 4 weeks, this time, the projected repair time is going to exceed 14 weeks. You don't have to believe me. Call their service number (207) 747-0076... you will never get a human when looking for service and you will never get a call back. Press the number for sales and you will get a human on the first ring - even on a cell if needed. I do not recommend using this firm.

Installation

Great information from the designers showing us how it all will work for us. Great people to work with very knowledgeable in there field. The installation went great with the crew very good information again very professional.

Definitely the Right Choice

I had a good feeling about this company from the very first contact. They were very open and honest about expectations and took the time to explain everything and answer my long list of questions and concerns. As an employee-owned company and a certified B Corp (look it up), I felt I was dealing with local people from my surrounding communities, and not some distant money driven corporation with pushy sales. After the initial visit, I received a full proposal within a day or two and was given the time to process, get additional quotes and do more research, without being hassled for a decision. In the end, the decision was between two proposals and despite ReVision being marginally more expensive and having a longer lead time for installation, I knew they were the right guys for my project. In addition, they had my panel of choice (REC) that the other vendor wasn't able to supply. I was also very fortunate that the initial lead-time was cut by several months meaning that I would be up and running for the peak summer months. The installation crew were a great bunch of guys and were on site for a total of three days. I talked to them often and was given regular updates and when they wrapped up, they told me what I could expect next. The only minor hiccup we had was that I was told that the paperwork for the change to a net meter (by the utility) would be submitted by the next day (after installation) and that the utility would have 10 working days to switch the meter. It actually took a whole week before the utility received the application and I did not receive a response from ReVision when I requested clarification on the submission. Perhaps some miscommunication? Luckily, the following week, I contacted the utility directly, who expedited the meter switchover and PTO, and everything was up and running within the 10 day period. The be fair, had ReVision not set the bar so high from the beginning, I would have normally expected such minor delays in the process from any vendor. All in all, I have been very happy with the whole process and outcome. Watching that meter "spin" backwards so much more than it does forwards gives a warm fuzzy feeling, and let's me know that I'm saving up credit for the winter. My calculations from the first few weeks of operation (sunny and cloudy days) helped validate the system sizing and the meeting of our goal to eliminate our bill completely. I'm confident that we'll even make a little revenue over the year as a whole. Definitely the right choice!

This is an outstanding organization!!

We are thrilled with our panels and the ReVision Energy Team. The options were clearly laid out and they presented models of energy capture given our roof configuration. And the Installation team was terrific. They worked hard, thought through some challenges, and in the end came up with a spectacular result. The connecting wires are largely hidden and those that were necessary are only visible if you look for them. We did not expect it to look so good. During the process there were some COVID delays and the team stepped up to mitigate them. As family and friends see our panels, I am steering them to ReVision Energy.

Everything clicked

Installation was conducted back in April 2020 just as the COVID panic was rearing its ugly head. Crew worked efficiently and job was completed in one day. Schedule was mutually agreed on so that failing asphalt roof could replaced with standing seam prior to installation. A real plus was that all permitting and interface with the power company was taken care as was tax related paperwork. They did it all. Now it’s January and I’m enjoying electric heat in my workshop that was actually captured and banked last summer. Professional installation in every respect. Right down to being ready for code enforcement inspection. Highly recommended.

Service for maintenance and repairs is lacking.

We had a solar hot water system installed in 2009 and heat pumps in 2014. The installations went well and we really like the systems we have. The problem is to get anyone to come for regular maintenance or repair. You call, leave a message and you don't hear back from anyone for over a week. Call back, talk to someone who says they will look into it - same thing, you don't hear back. They have one person to service heat pumps. This has nothing to do with Covid, as this is the same one person they've had for many years. Because they did not plug up the holes on the outside piping covers of the heat pumps, we had mice that chewed the insulation off the piping. We wanted to know if it was something we could fix ourselves. After talking with several different people who could not give us a clear answer, we were given three names of other companies to do the work. Since most other solar installers only want to work on systems they install, getting service done is a problem. After much frustration, we called Fujitsu and talked with a wonderful tech who answered all our questions in less than 15 minutes. We fixed it ourselves and it is now mice proof. Now we have another simple issue - heat pump inside cover needs to be replaced - and it's been weeks trying to get a service call scheduled. ReVision loves to install, but are terrible about servicing what they install. Would not recommend them for this reason. Their service department is beyond terrible.

Professionals - Start to Finish

I am a retired construction executive, so when I decided to put solar on my house I did a fair amount of research on solar companies, and interviewed and got estimates from four. All four were good and the prices were all in the $32 to $34K range for the same system. I went with Revision Energy because their salesman was the most responsive and gave the most complete and detailed answers to my numerous questions. This indicated to me that this company was focused on customer service. The project went very well. I am a hard grader of construction companies, but Revisions Energy got an A. Clear communication, very responsive, took care of all permits and the paperwork with Eversource, showed up when they said they would, and did excellent work. The project manager, the solar installers, the electricians, and the business manager were all very good. Everyone followed Covid protocols. I had one minor problem with a section of the critter guard, and they came right out and fixed it. I feel very confident to highly recommend this company.

Well planned install that was fairly painless for me

We worked with Revision to install two arrays (20 panels & 15 panels) on the roof of our two unit condo. Each unit-owner paid for their respective array. Everything went pretty smooth. The pre-planning was well thought out, the technical site visit was informative and the plans submitted to my towns building department were very quickly approved. The actual install took about 3 days due to weather complications. Once the panels were wired and Eversource switched out the electric meter to a net-meter, we were off an running. Shortly afterwards, I noticed that our 5kw inverter was "clipping" at 4kw. I called Revision and they had a crew out the next day. What had happened was that our inverter was switched with our downstairs neighbor. Our 20 panels were going into her 4kw inverter and her 15 panels were going into our 5kw inverter. This was quickly corrected. A few weeks after install I had an optimizer on one of the panels fail so that only 19 of the 20 were producing power. Again, they had a crew out in a few days to fix it at no additional charge. I also called them after I had a water leak in our ceiling. I was concerned that it was due to the solar install, but upon further investigation I learned that our HVAC condensate drain had separated and was leaking condensate water onto our ceiling. Again, I was pleased that they responded so quickly to an issue that they weren't responsible for. My system went live at the end of October 2018 and we didn't produce enough power to meet all of our need through the winter. At it's peak, our electric meter showed a net of 450kwh used. However, we haven't had an electric bill since January 2019 and our meter is now showing a net of about 150kwh used. I expect that it will get back to zero (or lower) before we turn on the central air. Time will tell if it truly produces the 107% of the energy we designed for, but so far, I'm optimistic.

Smooth, and easy to work with every step of the way.

Everyone was straightforward from start to finish. Professional, courteous, and they had their act together you seldom see with companies these days. They were there to guide you and help you every step of the way. From scheduling installation, inspection, to signing and submitting paperwork to one's utility. Can't recommend Revision enough. We had a minor issue upon installation, and they were attentive and made sure the problem was resolved which it was.

Professional installation of Solar Panels and Heat Pump

From the initial evaluation by Revision Energy to the final walk-through following installation, I was very pleased with the personnel, both sales, installers and front-office. They communicated well, made sure we understood what was going to happen and when. The two crews were professional, respectful, and on-time, and the projects were completed in three days each, as expected. We are very happy with the solar panels, which are making electricity even now in February, and the heat pump, in the heating mode, works well. I am confident that if we encounter any service issues, Revision Energy will attend to them promptly.

Everyone we worked with from ReVision was wonderful, and they have a very well thought out system that is adaptive and responsive. Our solar installation went really well given all the factors for site prep; they met the stated schedule, and their staff were very communicative and informative. We highly recommend ReVision.

LG Solar 10.4kwh install

My dad has worked with Revison for the last 20 years and highly recommended, so I went with them for my Solar install. I cannot say enough good things about them. Everything is working as designed and I could not be happier. Since my install, my electric bills have been $11 per month and I have banked almost 4 mwhs with the power company.

Excellent system installation

ReVision Energy was the only installer willing to work with me to minimize radio interference from their equipment (I am a ham radio operator). Their crew was courteous and competent, and the installation was neat and tidy. They also designed a more effective installation footprint compared with the initial plan.

Solar Install

Liberty staff were knowledgeable, friendly and professional, during the sales cycles, installation and follow-up fine-tuning of the system. Working with Jonathan to design our system was great. As was Jonathan the service tech who assisted us after the installation. The services folks were responsive and worked with us to remedy a few minor bumps.

Super Happy with My 24-Panel Residential Solar Install!

I could not be happier with my solar array that ReVision Energy installed on my roof! Chris, the sales rep, did a fantastic job of educating us on residential solar, doing our initial site survey, giving us an accurate performance estimation, and answering close to 1 million questions that we had throughout the process leading up to install. The installation went super smooth and was completed in 2 days. I could not be happier with the speed and quality of the install. The city inspector didn't even bother scrutinizing the install because he knows that they consistently do high quality work. Everyone at ReVision Energy was friendly and pleasant to work with. I am also happy to support such a great company in general that is employee owned, does community outreach, and even helps to lobby for more favorable litigation around renewable energy laws. The only downside of our install was that we found out part way into the process that we needed to re-shingle the portion of our roof that the solar panels would be mounted on. I think this is a dark spot that most solar installers don't like to discuss too much; that most people have to replace their roofs if it's not a new construction house. That being said, we now have 50yr shingles protected by solar panels that should outlive us. We shouldn't have to worry about our roof ever again. Overall I would definitely recommend ReVision Energy!!

A very professional installer

ReVision installed my photovoltaic system in September 2018. All appointments were kept as promised and there were no hitches with the install. I'm an electrical engineer and they were willing and able to answer my more technical questions. They also took charge of all communication with the power company and that went smoothly as well. Since then I have had a couple questions that they have promptly answered. In sum, they are very professional.

Solar Panels

Loved working with ReVision Energy! They are so professional. We had a major issue with our vinyl siding contractor which delayed the final installation of our solar panels. ReVision was patient and encouraging. OMG. Just for this month alone, the energy we have produced from these panels is the equivalent of planting 17 trees! It's thrilling to watch the progress of our panel production via the website ReVision provided us with. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Revision Energy at Hanson

Excellent company to work with. They are employee owned, which made everyone I had contact with invested in what they were doing. We recently put an in law on an existing structure, didn't want panels on the new roof for various reasons. We went with a 12.2 system 40 panels on ground mount, they gave us a couple of options to pick from, explained everything. If we had questions they would get answers back to us. They used ground screws instead of footings, great innovation had them installed in couple of hours. Installers were great to work with, they explained step by step what was going to happen. Had a meeting at end of each day to go over next day's plan. Took about a week to finish everything. Electric bill has been cut significantly. Would highly recommend using them. Took a while to get them here, they are that busy.

We started our solar installation process with a home consult with ReVision Energy, out of Portland, ME. We were visited by David, from ReVision, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about solar energy. He answered all of our questions, did a great job working up our project, and was quick with answers to any issues we had. Once we nailed down the project and installation timeline, ReVision Energy was there every step of the way to help us through financing and permitting with our local electric company. Installation was a breeze, and the crew was courteous and efficient. Our project was completed in 2 days, and looks fantastic. I would give ReVision Energy the highest recommendation possible for all the great work they did to help us with our solar energy project.
