Latest good review thumbs up

My only comment is the communication about the process (approvals, install etc) could be more clear. Also it was a little hard to make contact with the sales guy after the order was signed. The system is working fine though as advertised.

Revco should be your LAST choice in Solar providers

Revco took months to install my system. As part of the contract they replaced and upgraded my main electrical panel. I will include only the short story here. My system was down an multiple occasions especially during peak summer months. It usually took multiple days for them to return my call for service. Then a couple of days would pass before the technician made it out to fix the problem. It was always just a reset of the system and then it would go out again. After many service call I finally demanded that SunPower take over. SunPower's technician inspected the entire system and found no problem. He then decided to check the main electrical panel and found that the AC wire was loose and was arcing when the AC went on. This caused the solar to be interrupted. Revco denies this could have been the issue even though I saw the loose wire with my own eyes and a full report supported this. The system has never shut down since this wiring problem was fixed. I am still battling Revco but they do not support their customers.

Terrible Communication and It Took Forever to Get the System Up

We started the process in the middle of February, 2015. We were told it would take 4-6 months for the system to be up and running. It was not up and running at full production until January 13th, 2016. If there was ANY communication, I had to be the one to initiate it. The only exception was when they wanted their money. I thought the installation team was good until I discovered they put 6 panels in the shade of a tree, which had to be moved to another part of our roof. The reason they put the panels in the shade was because they wouldn't fit where the diagram had them. The diagram had the panels all in one spot, but there wasn't enough room on the roof. Instead of checking with the designer of the diagram, the installers just "stuck" them anywhere. This entire process was a bit of a nightmare. Another company installed our neighbor's panels, and they were up and running in less than half the time Revco took. I've had neighbors ask about getting panels, and I tell them to go to any company BUT Revco. Also, when we got our final bill, it was over $1,000 than our contract showed. When I complained about it, they did drop it to $500.

Not happy with the sales rep. after contract agreement communications. He never made any follow ups to me. The technicians who did the actual install were great and very professional. gene stricklin 760-256-3969

A problem came up because of our style of roof but it was ultimately resolved in a very satisfactory manner. I was ver pleased with the outcome We feel very good about having made this decision. It`s a win-win for everyone

I would like more help in dealing with TOU issues in hot climates. Solar energy remains prohibitively expensive. I am fortunate to have the means to purchase and install, and plan to stay in the home long enough to realize ROI then some savings. Many people are not so fortunate, so until it becomes more affordable I do not see it being widely embraced by the masses.

The main issue was with the Solar Manufacturer Sun Power, and not with Revco. Sun Power supplied two bad inverters.

We had some problems with the pricing of our system and getting the numbers to match our original quote. Also there was no communication as to when our installation would start. We sort of lucked out on knowing the actual date. Our installers did a great job and were very pleasant to work with, taking time to explain the system.
