From the time we decided on going solar, Renewable Energy was very professional, walking us through the steps and answered all of our questions.

I dealt mainly with Jeff and he is very knowledgeable about his products and was straight forward and made recommendations based on my best interests. He even steering me away from purchasing other items, which most companies would not. My solar has been installed for four months and it has gone through the major storms we have had and I have had no issues and been nothing but pleased with the quality of work and communications I received throughout the entire process.

They were very communicative and we had zero issues. Jeff and his team at Renewable Solutions were outstanding!  Before Tim and Jeff met with me, they emailed the California Solar Consumer Protection Guide which I highly recommend reading.  It gives you info on what to ask solar providers as well as understanding the solar process and financing options.  After receiving this, I felt that this company could be trusted to meet my needs and it proved to be true!    I had already met with another solar company which did not provide me with this guide and also never provided me with financing options.  I was only given the option of a purchase agreement for 25 years.  Tim computed the 2.99% increase each year for 25 years that I was going to be contracted for and I would have paid double the price that Renewable Solutions quoted and I would not have even owned the system.  I quickly cancelled the contract with that company!     The process from beginning to end with Renewable Solutions was very smooth with no stress.  I hope others will make the right decision to call Jeff or Tim for their solar installation.  I highly recommend this company!    

My wife and I were considering solar in late 2022. We had met with two solar companies, when our neighbor recommended Jeff and his company Renewable Solutions. We met with Jeff, and after just a few minutes it was obvious we were dealing with a higher quality company/person than the previous companies. It was a great experience to work with Jeff Wakamiya. He is the right and nice person to work with if you know what you want to do. It was very efficient and fast-paced to move the project and get your solar up and running. I decided to install solar panels on my house around May 2022. After doing some research and collecting information from my friends having solar, I reached out to some big names. It was a busy season which made no response from those big names. I did some solar calculation through SolarReviews to find local company. I talked with multiple providers/brokers and felt so frustrated that most of them assumed the new customers with no knowledge about solar. One of them really made me mad by messing up the appointment time, reading slides one page after one, even doing same reading with sending the second rep. Jeff Wakamiya showed up on time (most appreciable feature for the rep), sticked to his 45 mins time slot with information I didn't research enough. After that, he utilized the online meeting to further discuss the option which can accommodate the schedule of both. He proposed the solutions with different scenarios and ends up with the current design, which has the capacity to support EV car in the future but doesn't waste too much. He also provided pro/cons of his collaborative local contractors, which was very transparent. Even after the project transferred to the local installer, Jeff was still actively involved to facilitate the process when a miscommunication occurred. My solar system was up and running on my roof with everything clear just three months after signing contract. Jeff also gave me tips how to maintain and maximize the panel condition a few months after installation. In a word, I highly recommend Jeff Wakamiya and Renewable Solutions to anyone who considering solar and wants good value, transparent and timesaving process.

There are a lot of ads and sales people for Solar and Jeff at Renewable Solutions stands out among them. I first met with Jeff in 2019 and when I was ready for solar at my home in 2021, I reached out to him. The reason I remembered to reach out to him was not because of any "pitch", but of his approach to educating consumers and having a no pressure approach. He's super knowledgeable and really looks out for his customers. Highly recommend Jeff and his team at Renewable Solutions.

I got multiple bids. Renewable Solutions was the only company to thoroughly educate me and my wife on equipment options, net metering, tax credits, financing and the overarching business case as well as what to expect during the installation process all the way through PG&E connection. I felt very comfortable with my decision after the sales process. The other bids which I received stemmed from cold callers claiming to be California energy programs. I would stay clear from them as their bids were much higher and the contractors seemed shady. Also to note Jeff sized my solution perfectly in fact, there was only a very slight true-up at the end of the year and I was not even trying to save energy this past summer. Very satisfied with my system and have recommended Jeff to family and friends.

After listening to presentations by different solar companies, all of whom tout theirs as the best thing since sliced bread, we met with Jeff, and am I glad we did. Jeff was more about educating us on what the current situation is with solar and the utility companies than he was about making a sale. When determining what would be the best fit for us, he helped us see the research behind the product/companies he was recommending. Each part of the process was handled with such customer care, from Jeff to the finance company to the estimators to the installers, to the follow-up, I was left with a very positive view. True to Jeff's estimation, PG&E owes us money each month. The installers he works with were on-time (even a little early) and were courteous and respectful & kept the jobsite tidy. I highly recommend Jeff & His team.

Timothy and Renewable Solutions were very helpful and accomodating to our needs. We had spoken to a number of different companies and they seemed to be the most knowedgable and helpful to deal with, along being the only company that shared the California Consumer Protection Guide. We had a PG&E bill that was high and kept getting higher. Timothy was able to help reduce the bill substantially without us having to put any money down. The installers were on time, diligent, and cleaned up after after themselves. They were happy to answer many quetions I had and I felt like buying them lunch would be a nice thing do. After everything was installed, there were a few extra steps that needed to be taken that we needed help with. Timothy was happy to return in person and help complete these last steps to allow permits and PG&E to finsh the process and give us permission to operate. We look forward to and feel comfortable to refer anyone interested in solar to Timothy and Renewable Solutions.

I decided to install solar panels on my house at the beginning of 2022, when PG&E raised rates and announced more to come. I talked with multiple providers/brokers and received 6 different proposals. Most of the solar providers only offered one brand of panel, making comparison of the quotes a bit difficult. However, Jeff Wakamiya and Renewal Solutions made it clear from the beginning that they could offer a variety of panels, and demonstrated a comprehensive working knowledge (pros/cons) about each. Jeff certainly had his opinions on which panels provided better value but was happy to engage in discussions about anything solar related and took the time to answer all of my questions. Jeff continually brought the conversation back to goals and “value”, which I appreciated. We discussed multiple options (sizes, configurations, brands, output, etc.) and how the options impacted price, output, and longevity. At no time during the conversation did Jeff try to “sell” solar. I would like to start with for 55 years I worked in the service or retail business, including a family business, retail clerk, retail management and midlevel corporate management. As such customer service and customer communication was instilled in me from an early age. The concept of excellent customer service has not really changed in all those years, however the execution of that concept or goal by many business and service people over the years is from lacking to nonexistent. Tim Gault was the salesperson/agent for my solar and roof job. Tim was very professional and knowledgeable on both the solar and roofing questions I had. I would also like to note that all of the staff from Renewable Solutions I spoke to either in person or on the phone were professional. Unlike several competitors I contacted both for the roof and solar some never called back or failed to make scheduled appointments to discuss my projects. Tim and the office staff were always helpful during the entire process. If they did not have the information I requested on hand or if I left messages/voicemail they "NEVER" failed to get back to me. Having been in the business environment that customer service attitude by Tim and the staff is why I chose Renewable Solutions for both my roof and solar system. The execution and workmanship of their install staff was also excellent, as I expected from my experience from their sales and office staff. You can tell when customer service and professionalism is not just something printed on company advertising. As for the solar system it is everything I expected and is working great. Tim recommended knowing I was retiring that I add a few more panels to my system since it was likely that being at home more, I would use more electricity than my previous annual usage indicated. What a great recommendation that was. I would also like to give a shout out to James and the roofing crew who did excellent job on the new roof and doing all of the repairs needed caused by dry rot (my old leaking roof).

Around late spring/early summer 2022, I started considering investing in some solar panels. I had been working from home for a few years, and my electricity costs had continued to increase. Since I didn't intend to return to an office environment and I didn't imagine PG&E would suddenly decrease their rates, it was time to explore other options.
