Job not done, wont take my calls, scheduled appointment no show
Started this project in January. Everythig was installed by April , signed off by Teco in May it is now 27 August they are scheduled to come out today to do the final checks to make sure the system is on and up and running. I garuntee it wasnt until last month when I had a different solar company come out and turn it on because I coud not get a hold of PES. If I called from my phone I could not get through so I called from my sons phone and they answered. This is the first month that I have not recieved a bill from Teco as of yet. I was paying both for the last year because they didnt come out and finish the job. And when he finally did show up it wasnt really o make sure everything was working it was to try and get me to buy something else.

Is it possible to give zero stars
I’m guessing they have gone out of business since the website is gone and no one answers any of the phones. So much for guarantee from them.

OUT OF BUSINESS
I had several issues with this company ever since they installed my Solar in 2021 and I've tried repeatedly to get them to correct. When an array dropped out again, I tried contacting them and all phone numbers are dead as is the website. While I cannot find a bankruptcy filing, I suspect they have shut down as I got an unsolicited Solar Takeover notice from another company which usually happens as they troll the court filings.

Do not use PES
PES installed our system in 2024. There were issues in the installation that ultimately did get resolved, however the reason for my 1 star review is that the system needed repair under warranty. The company advised (verbally and in writing) that they were very busy, but would schedule the repair as soon as possible. Weeks went by and then their phones stopped being answered- just voice mail. I have no idea if they are still in business. I hired another solar company to make the repairs and am out of pocket by $1300

Out of Business
I've waited 11 months to get a panel replaced under warranty. Called multiple times for an update. Nothing. In the meantime, I have 3 panels out. Finally talked to someone last month who seemed very helpful and told me she was going to figure it out and get someone to my house ASAP. I did mention to her that their website was down and I was getting "going out of business" vibes. She said, "you're the second person today to tell me that". I called back two weeks ago, and nothing. THEY ARE NOW OFFICIALLY OUT OF BUSINESS. That being said, the only reason for this review is to let current customers know. Panels and inverters are still under warranty, but be ready to pay another company to fix/install new parts.

I was sold a product that is not what was promised. My electric bill was over $300 a month, I was promised a $30 bill after solar install, my bill is over $300 a month and I also have a $300 Solar payment as well, how is this possible? I called previously to share my concerns, only to be told I should give it a full year to see full results. Well it’s been a full year and my bill is higher. I was promised 117% consumption offset, this is not even close to the case. To say I’m not happy is an understatement, what should my next steps be!!!

I have been waiting months to get a faulty microinverter replaced. I have tried calling them numerous times and it says voicemail box full so you can't even leave a message. Even Enphase tried getting ahold of them to no avail. Now what do I do?

Waranty - Not Honored!
In May 2026(Last Month), one of the Solar Panels stopped working. It was diagnosed as a failed microinverter. The Manufacturer(Enphase) send me a new replacement inverter that was covered by warantee. The service provider (PES Solar) was contacted to do the install. They informed me that there would be a $250 charge, claiming this was a "mobility charge". In the past, one time, they had performed the same service with no charge as per the warantee. Now they want to charge me for the service dispite the 25 year service and labor waranty (See Attached).

very disappointing
PES solar fails in a number of ways from poor installation, poor followup to address problems after the installation and failure to install the panels per the contract. I know that solar companies are often poorly run and staffed and that is very true of PES. great salesman - they are independent salespeople rather than company employees - but disappointing follow through.

Fraudsters,Liars and should be in jail
Don’t believe any of you good reviews you are here. They have bought them online! The truth is they give a prooosal with all sorts of promises of savings but it never materializes. They are late with the installs and ask you tie to the lender about their actual install. I need a lawyer and I’ll get one. Total fraudsters! Beware!

“CROOKS, FRAUD, AND ZERO STARS”
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have had solar from them now for over 4 years, they have never worked correctly, they do not help you when you have issues. There is always an excuse and they play the blame game. Everyone I have spoken to says they are a complete rip off and I am proof. My Enphase panel box which is not even part of their company will not connect to the WIFI, I have no solar and they want $250 to come out and look at the box so they can call Enphase and let them know what is wrong. $250! An electrician is $80. I deeply regret ever going with PES Solar. I have since spoken with numerous other customers who have had the exact same problems—leaks, broken promises, and outrageous costs to fix their mistakes. PES Solar has multiple lawsuits against them for similar issues. If you value your home and your money…. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The good reviews were probably put on here by them due to all the bad ones.

Please Do not trust this company! PES solar quoted on installing a system for my house. The stipulation was that only clamps would be used on the standing seam metal roof and no penetration would occur. They provided a quote with the clamps included and I paid 30% of the quote for them to proceed. PES solar proceeded to install the system with clamps in September of 2022. After the system was installed The contract states that 60% would be paid during installation but they decided not to charge me at that time. That is when I found out that they did not follow the permit. At that point my roof was compromised by the installation process so they could not take the system off and I could not use the system because the city would not sign off on the permit. Weeks became months and almost a year and a half later, countless phone calls and more equipment added to the roof the system was cleared by the city. Through their negligence I was in limbo over a year, losing thousands of dollars in electricity cost and never knowing if the system would ever be turned on. It is now Jan 15th 2024 and the system has yet to be turned on. I have paid in full but they are waiting for their accounting department to clear it. They will not tell me how long it will take. I want to make sure as many future solar customers know what I went through. I know most of the reviews are positive but if I had to do it again I would stay far away from PES Solar.

Hard to get service
PES INSTALLED my system 2 weeks ago my gateway stopped reporting data. I called PES and they said it was uploading data. After a week I called the manufacturer and the connected in to the gateway and said it was cutting out and not working properly and I should contact the installer. They were quick to ask me to pay up front for the service call and I would be contacted to schedule. 4 days later nobody called, so I called and of course I got voicemail. Terrible customer support.

It's just a scam
Everything they say to get your business is a lie. They call the bare minimum (doing the work they promised they would do) "bending over to make you happy" but when you try to confirm the work was actually done, what they said they did never actually happened. It's lie after lie after lie with these people. Especially don't trust Christian. He says he is the owner's nephew and will make sure you get taken care of, but then he ghosts you and you never hear from him again. Run far away from this man!

Horrible Experience using PES Solar
We should have knows right away to NOT use this company. We were told (written and confirmed) we could have 12 circuits for our batteries. Ended up being 4! We decided to purchase an additional battery and still only ended up having 8 circuits. The entire installation process was a nightmare with incompetent people showing up, incomplete work, work done wrong, parts missing and/or installed incorrectly, BIG messes left behind and a year later it's still NOT WORKING properly! After the last storm we lost power and found that they split our 8 circuits and now we have only 5 circuits running off batteries. Not to mention they connected the wrong rooms for backup power. This made dinner very difficult to make but hey, the fireplace worked! No one talked to us about our options, showed us how to use the system or explained it to us. Enphase has been nice to work with and helpful but I would NOT USE or recommend PES Solar.

Deceptive Sales Techniques and Unprofessional
We bought a solar system from PES solar 2 years ago and Don the Vice President and Salesman sold us on it, for our 20 year old roof, with the promise that PES solar would take off and put back on the solar panels within the first 5 years for free. The time has come to hold PES solar to their promise they sold us on, over that exact concern over the age of our roof, and now the story has changed that "its free if we use their roofer only". Lo and behold, their roofer doesn't cover our area nor are they willing to make an exception to have their PES owned roofing company cover our area. And Don, Vice President and Salesman, expert advice is to "go after the Insurance Company" or "Use the Government" to pay for the Panel removal and installation. Deceptive business practice all around and Don, probably the most unprofessional Vice President, singles out my wife that she "has no idea what she's talking about because she wasn't part of the conversations" and decides that rather than working with us, calls us liars and ignorant. I don't know if Don has a problem with women but it surely seems so as my wife has been handling this issue for us and rather than addressing our concerns, he keeps attacking her via text, as if she not capable of handling an issue with a company we paid $38k for solar panels. She works and makes money to Don. When Don wasn't trying to invalidate my wife, his only attempt at helping us was "I tried to reach out to the owner" and we had to keep reaching out for a week and a half to hear back. PES Solar's lack of professionalism through its Vice President Don and its deceptive advertising practices are something you should avoid at all costs. You want your panels taken on and off for a new roof to be put on? That'll be $10K. They don't tell you that before the panels, they just whisper "free" into your ear to get the signature on the contract even though our biggest concern with Don was the age of our roof and getting it replaced. I didn't expect this out of a company based in Florida but rather a fly by night solar panel company. But the post payment customer service will make it feel that way.

Very Frustrated
It has been 10 weeks since installation of the solar panels and backup battery. I have had only three weeks of use during that time and the entire system has been down now for two weeks. The controller is bad and PES is dragging their feet instead of taking care of the problem in a timely manner. I paid cash for the installation and I should be getting the benefits from my investment, instead I am frustrated and regret having chosen this company. I am calling every day and getting the run around.

BEWARE
DON'T DO IT. They lie, and lie, and lie. We've had our system for a year now and this billing cycle is the first one where our system generated more kWH than we used. Over the past 11 months we have been paying $59.00 MORE per month than we were before PES installed the system. The numbers they gave us about our projected savings, based on past usage, are pure fiction. The sales rep also told us that we'd be receiving a check back from the Federal Government to offset the cost - but it was a lie. The terms of the note change in a few months, and then, under the best circumstances, we'll be paying $116 more a month than we did before PES got us. Don't believe a word they say. And when we contacted them to tell them that the system was under-performing, we received a snippy email reply saying "that's not something we can fix." We are seniors on a fixed income and thought, based on their lies, that this would save us money and help the environment, too. Instead, they told us what they thought we wanted to hear, and now we'll be paying on this loan until we die. Just DON'T DO IT and avoid this company. Documentation to support my claims is available upon request. UPDATE: After several days of dealing with the "new" head of customer service, and sending PES 19 Duke Energy bills to support our claims, Alex Kennard, who claims to be the General Manager, "generously" offered to give us two free additional panels if we would purchase a third at $2200.00. The initial installation was 37 panels. 37 times $2200 is $81,400, which is a lot more than we paid for the entire system, so Mr. Kennard's kind offer was nothing more than an attempt to con us out of more money, not to "give" us something free.
