No customer service available during the weekend. Working hours from 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. With no power over the eeekend and nobody available to solve the situation. This review is from Puerto Rico. I would not advice anybody to make business with Power Solar. They are the worst in customer service. I do not even want to imagine what would happen during a huracanes!!!

After hurricane Fiona-sept 2022 *No service for dead batteries after one week *Service over Phone - sales department answers and has specific instructions not to transfer calls to service due to high volume *aftermath -paid a lot of money to be prepared for hurricane -they were not prepared to even answer the phone and schedule a day for service

First time solar buyer. Easy process with a great staff. Guys I know have been doing the job for 20+ years.

We recently put on a new Roof in March 2021. Next step is Solar- after receiving numerous bids we chose Planet Solar. The bid was the best bang for our buck- KW production was a factor with kids home all summer and thinking of the future as well. One key component in choosing them is that I went directly to there office, I met Marilyn and Ben. They answered more of my questions- I mentioned how leary I was of having holes punched into my roof, Ben took the time to show me the material they use to ensure no leaks! The installation crew was incredible, I never know how many steps it took to really get solar installed. The day after Solar I called my roofer- as you know some installers just punch holes in your roof, Planet Solar took care of mine as if it was theres- he could tell they were cautious and they didnt walk with "lead-feet" and ruin the granules on my shingles! So..do your homework, ask your questions, then realize Plant Solar offers the expertise, and the knowledge you really need.

After receiving a couple of quotes from other local solar companies I decided to go forward with Planet Solar due to their excellent communication and transparency. Planet Solar was one of the best companies I have ever worked with. I looked around and asked around for a good solar company. Planet Solar was recommended to me by a friend and I made the call. Marilyn was my first point of contact and she solidified my decision to use Planet Solar. She was thorough and knowledgeable and very easy to talk with. I had done some initial system size estimates based on everything I knew. Once I spoke to Marilyn, she designed the correct size system and actual told me I didn't need as big of a system as I had estimated. Once we agreed on the details, a contract was drawn up and work began very quickly. They pulled all the necessary permits, ordered all of the supplies and kept me in the loop the entire time. Installation was quick and professionally done. They were able to go through the attic which minimizes the conduits on the outside of the house. The workers were all professional, polite and always cleaned up their mess. A few short weeks later, I was producing electricity. The only low I have about going solar, I wish I would have done it sooner.

Let me start by saying I have no connection or allegiance to Planet Solar. (other than being a happy customer) They were the fourth of four proposals that we got and they were the cheapest of the four, even though they proposed an almost identical system and components as one of the other companies. Cost was the biggest factor in going with Planet Solar and we are extremely glad we did. From our first meeting with Marilyn we just felt like we were in excellent hands, and dealing with someone we could trust, not your typical sales person just trying to close a deal, and it didn't end there. Everyone we dealt with from Jason who came out to do the pre installation inspection and the foreman Juan who was there on the day of the installation were very professional and courteous, exactly the kind of people you want working on your home! I highly recommend getting a quote from Planet Solar if you are serious about getting solar! We are Happy we did!!!

Purchased a Planer Solar System last year. Install and roof prep was fine. Now, a year later we are still getting fairly good sized SCE bills. Asked for a solar audit, they reviewed the bills and they tersely concluded it was a tree (not sure what tree) impacting system output. If it was a tree should not have panel placement have taken that into account? Have contacted the rep to ask if panels can be relocated or augmented and he is unresponsive. After spending almost 30k for the system I’m disappointed.

We purchased a solar system from Planet Solar (Fresno) in September 2019. They were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. They took the time to help explore the best options for our property and design an expandable system. So far it has been working very well.

We are very happy with the service and installation of the solar system. Ben and Marilyn were straightforward to work with and help us reduce the system cost by using rebates available for our situation.

I am business professional giving an excellent review for Planet Solar as they definitely earned my business! I had planned on going with another Solar company that was successful in our area. However, what changed my mind was that I was treated with respect and patience. One of the owners took special attention laying out all my options and explained them in detail. From there I could make an educated decision choosing between buying or leasing, and design layout. These people did the homework for me and then I chose what I thought was best for me! There was no high pressure involved. Their service was impeccable, their servicemen were clean and professional. I even got my panels on my house in a faster time frame than the other company had estimated for me! I would definitely recommend Planet Solar to anyone or any business. OK. I took 7 years to write this review, but I wanted to have all the data. My system was first turned on 7/5/2011. It is 2.83 kw AC. It paid for itself in 6.5 years and is now making me money. Turned out to be a better investment than real-estate or the stock market. It has returned about 15% a year. The only issue I had was that the display on the inverter is unreadable due to UV damage. However, I still know that the unit is working because my monthly bill is still near zero. I was unsure about installing because I have a very old roof, but there have been no leaks. I clean the panels a couple of times a year. Installation and materials were all top notch.

With Pg and E going up year after year my husband and I had been considering solar for over 2 years. We had done several different consultations none of the companies could meet 100% of our production needs. After we meet with Ben the owner of Planet Solar we knew we had found the company we wanted to go with. The entire experience has been seamless from consultation to installation. We are now up and running and watching the savings happen.

From our presentation/sales meetings with Kirk Weiss; to the installation crews; and the technicians who explained the system to us, the process was seamless. All the deadlines were met. The total cost was as presented during the sales presentation. We are very happy with our decision to award the contract to Planet Solar. Since installation, everything is working well.

I normally don't post reviews online, but my experience with Planet Solar's installation of my solar electric system was SO positive that I need to tell others who are considering going solar. From start to finish, I had excellent customer service from Planet Solar. Their reps were knowledgeable about every phase of my project, from design to installation; and they offered me a wide range of choices for panels as well as lease and purchase options. They handled all the paperwork for me flawlessly, including obtaining approval from my homeowners association (HOA) and working with my local utility. I was concerned about how the panels would look on my roof, particularly any conduit that would be exposed. And Planet Solar's installers could not have been more accommodating. They ran almost all the conduit and wiring through my attic into the garage, so the installation is "clean" and aesthetically pleasing. In fact, the HOA inspectors who came out to approve the final installation said they wished that every installation could be done as nicely as mine. What a compliment! Planet Solar energized my system in early September, only one day after my utility and the City made their final inspections. And it has been operating flawlessly for nearly 11 months -- in fact, production is even higher than I was promised. Planet Solar also threw in two complimentary panel cleanings, just as they promised, to ensure the system is operating at max output. In sum, I could not have had a better overall experience. I am delighted I chose Planet Solar as my contractor, and I recommend them most highly.

Steve Pyle and his team did an excellent job with very personal service. Job was completed in a timely and professional manner and has worked flawlessly for 3 years reducing my electric bill to next to nothing. Highly recommend Steve and Planet Solar.

I knew nothing about solar so when I called Steve Pyle at Planet Solar I was very cautious to double check everything he told me with a friend in the solar business in another area. Everything Steve had told me checked out great so I proceeded to award them the contract. WOW, it could not have run smoother and I am very pleased with the installation. And when I have a question, Steve is always available to get right back to me and explain the solution. You can't go wrong with Planet Solar.

Be careful as this company has no follow through once your system is on your home. Our Edison bills NEVER dropped after their system was installed in our home and, for months, we tried to get them to inspect the system. Several excuses but no reporting, no follow through. Perhaps other retailers are ok but the group from Palm Desert is just terrible.

Planet solar gave us a price, and timeline and stuck to both of them. We were away for part of the install but our sales guy, Ross, kept us in contact and even coordinated two of the other sub contractors for us.

They were on time, and did what they said. No issues.

Did extensive comparisons. Priced to beat competition. Product rated top percentiles. Year end production beat guarantees. All questions answered promptly > 15 mos. post installation

Planet Solar installed a good sized system on our Spanish tile roof home. They were on the job to supervise the roofing people and came back to check their work and get deficiencies corrected before I could ask them to do this. The panel installation went well and the staff seemed keenly aware of the issues to be addressed. Upgrades were made to our contracted package as they had become available in the interim and we were not charged for them. After the job they continued to help us in dealing with SCE to get our operating permit. All together we have very high praise for this group and are enjoying our new solar system immensely.

After our home was destroyed in the Tea Fire we contacted 5 solar companies for bids. Four of the five responded with site visits and bids. Planet Solar won the job based on the follow criteria: 1) Demonstrated Business Professionalism 2) In-depth interview of what our objectives were 3) Timely bid response and education sessions 4) Price and Warranty 5) My Contractor's recommendations based on interviews w/all five 6) Reference responses Planet Solar was in the top two of each category. Having Westmont College as a reference was a major factor in their win.

The original design was for all panels to be on the west side of the house so would not be visible from the street and because the mesa is socked in fog many mornings, the east side of the roof would not be as effective for a large percentage of the year. Apparently this information was not conveyed to the contractor who began to install the panels evenly on both sides of the roof. In addition, the supports (feet) they were going to use would have the panels at the same angle of the roof which was not optimum on the composition roof which had only a 10-1 slope. I interceded, stopping the installation. The result was very satisfying as the contractor agreed to correct the installation to my original expectations at no extra charge. The installation is performing as expected but our experience with SCE on the changeover was less than desirable. This is no reflection on Planet Solar, it's just a warning to be prepared for a bit annoyance from the utility giant -actually made me even happier that I got out from under their rate increases.

We were adding a second set of solar panels and were very impressed by the company and our sales rep from Planet Solar. The installation went very well and we have been extremely pleased with the high level of service from this company. Totally pleased!!!!

We met with 3 companies to decide about our solar installation. Planet Solar's sales rep, Ace had the most knowledge and could answer all our questions. There is definitely a lot to learn about solar and each company told us different things. We really liked Planet Solar's system with the individual microinverters for the panels. So, if one fails, the others can still function. Almost one year out and the system is working perfectly. Our only negative was that the roof installers were a bit unprofessional in their behavior. I recommend with all solar installations that you inspect your roof after(especially if you have tiles) to make sure there isn't damage they need to fix. We luckily did this and they fixed it all.

Company was responsive to a constant barrage of questions, and available for continuous in-person meetings, as well as upon call. The installation process took longer than expected but upon inspection seems to be been done well and as promised. Plus Planet Solar went out of their way to solve an electrical problem, probably not of their making, and do other good neighbor deeds. They have helped and continue to help with aftermath of the 8/25 flood.

Very Knowledgable and Professional. Others wanted to charge extra for Planet Solars standard install. On Time! and after they were through, You couldn't tell they were ever here.
