Tommy and his crew are excellent. They were very careful around my property and communicated all steps of the project. My home now has a net zero electric bill every month, with a $350 credit. My system went online in January 2025 and this review was made in April 2025.

When we were interested in going Solar, but had trouble finding a reliable company, I called Mid Carolina and asked for some references. They could not recommend a company, but could tell me who installed their system! Although Electricity can be hard to understand for non-engineers, Tommy made it fairly understandable and laid out a very professional plan and estimate. Very happy with the result and persistence on Tommy’s part to keep at resolving technical issues (with brand new technology that required Solar Edge to troubleshoot remotely). Solar is not cheap, but the tax credits and energy savings make it worthwhile combined with Tommy’s expertise to get the right system for our needs! He has my highest recommendation both as a person and businessman!

After meeting with many solar providers, we selected Southeast SolarPros because of its responsiveness, thoroughness, quality, and competitive pricing. The build out will start next month so standby for an update ... randy

I spent time getting quotes from other installers and even considered doing the install myself. I talked with my electric provider and got a good idea as to what I needed. They were familiar with Tommy Wood and Southeast SolarPros and had nothing but the highest regards for his workmanship. I did not want the panels on my roof as most installers want to do. Tommy and Travis installed my panels on the ground with a very impressive mounting system. Everything was installed in a very professional manner and is operating as expected. I had a couple problems about two weeks after the install but Tommy was monitoring the results and informed me of the problem before I even noticed it. He made a few trips to my location before everything was resolved, but in the end everything is working properly and there were no extra charges. I am impressed with the warranty on the equipment and Southeast SolarPros professionalism. I am convinced you will not find a better solar installer than these guys.

My system was installed by a less-than-stellar company located here in Columbia, SC. After nearly nine months of trying to get it correct I decided to fire the original installer and hire Mr. Tommy Wood and Palmetto SolarPros. After two visits (one visit to asses the system and the next to correct issues) the system was operational and providing power as expected! I have a back-up battery that provides power to my home during the night and is recharged during the day. It works like a charm thanks to Palmetto SolarPros. Tommy Wood was actually recommended to me by my massage therapist at Lexington Massage Therapy. Tommy prepared a presentation based on our energy use, projected needs, and provided answers to our questions regarding the panels, lifespan, cost, return on investment, etc. From start to finish, he walked us through the process and even helped arrange for some landscaping that needed to happen to clear the area. He and Travis were amazingly fast installing the grid and explained the website used to monitor our little group of panels. I tell everyone about what a great experience this has been.

Of all places, it was my dentists office where I first discovered Tommy Wood of PalmettoSolarPros. Tommy was installing their Solar Panels and I was impressed with the workmanship, the attention to detail, and his willingness to explain the product he was installing. I admired Tommy’s no pressure selling, you could tell he wanted to make sure our family could make an informed decision about solar power. I loved the idea of not having to install solar panels on my roof which would cost us later if any service issues might be required. Tommy visited our home, with a prepared report specific for our location. After walking the site he patiently answered our many questions. Tommy allowed us time to process this information and came out again to address a few more questions. Tommy made this truly turn key in that he also prepared the Electric Cooperative paperwork, the county paperwork requirements, SC Call before you Dig, as well as assisted our Home Insurance representative to properly increase the insurance coverage. The State Farm representative was so impressed with the quality of work, that he is looking at doing Solar installation in the future. As the installation was scheduled, Tommy suggested several companies that he had worked with before for additional tree removal to maximize the sunlight reaching the panels. He also recommended several companies that would grind the remaining tree stumps. Tommy visited our site again after the tree removal, to insure that both our family and his team were ready to proceed. The day before installation, Tommy had the materials involved delivered and he worked with us for the best location to store the materials, to minimize our inconvenience. Tommy and Travis were amazing in their attention to detail. One example was, after leveling the supporting posts for the panels, (Series 200 Residential Ground Mount) they were cemented into the ground. This attention to detail put our minds at rest when 3 weeks after going solar, Hurricane Irma winds gusted at 50 mph! All through the process, Tommy and Travis were incredibly neat and professional. Tommy took the time to keep us informed via phone calls, texts, and emails at every stage of the process. Those he recommended completed their part in a timely manner. As for Tommy and the PalmettoSolarPros family, I wish other business were as responsible and service oriented.

Adding solar to our dental office was the best investment ever! Since the installation has been completed we have produced more energy than we're using, thus our bills are ZERO, and since we are on a power purchase agreement we are actually earning dollars for what we are producing! The whole team at Palmetto SolarPros are for sure pros in this arena! I wouldn't have wanted any one else on this job. They were professional and did a beautiful job, delivered as promised!

We were interested in solar for two reasons. 1)Do our part in reducing the country's carbon footprint, 2)reduce the cost of utilities for our home. Tommy and Travis were our Palmetto SolarPro installers. Tommy walked me thru the installation, options, cost and details regarding the return on our investment. He was very patient with me and endured a thousand questions. Once we decided to install a solar system, it took a few weeks to order and receive material. We installed a 21KwH system with a ground mount plan. Tommy and Travis installed our array and electrical system/components in about two weeks. The installation was very professional and I was very impressed with the quality of every facet of the installation. About 3 weeks after the installation, we had a few issues with one of the inverters and a communication issue with the SolarEdge App. Both issues were hardware related and Tommy and Palmetto SolarPros were there to support us in resolving all issues. Service after the sale is very important to me and these guys provided prompt and courteous support making several trips to correct my issues. Tommy has checked in with me several times since my installation and continues to monitor my system on line ensuring all systems are functioning properly. I'm a gadget guy and I love the fact that I can check on the panels and see how much power I'm getting just by looking at my phone. I’m very satisfied that we have done our part to reduce this country's carbon footprint and we're also looking forward to years of lower electric bills. Clean, attractive, efficient installation. Panels actually enhance aesthetics of commercial building. Accurate production and income projections as predicted in proposal. Super customer service and post-installation monitoring. Great ice-breaker at parties-- (Look at my roof spitting out money!)

I was a little nervous at first in spending that much money but it turned out to be the best investment ever. Going with a ground array proved to be better than on the roof with the amount of land I have. Both Tommy and his son as well as the electrician did an excellent job and helped to explain to me anything I wanted to know. Tommy also helped tremendously in making the loan process as smooth as possible. I highly recommend Palmetto SolarPros.

Talked with Tommy on several occasions with questions regarding the different brands of inverters and panels for the install. He answered all the questions we had about solar. He and his son done such an excellent job on this system that we had him install a second system at another home. All work was professional and I can't say enough about the quality of the person or the work. Highly recommended.

Tommy did a great job of designing and installing a solar heater on our pool. He provided us with specifications and photographs that helped convince the neighborhood architectural control committee that the solar heater would enhance the neighborhood. When a warrantee situation came up, Tommy cheerfully made sure the repairs happened.

I researched solar power, solar panels, solar inverters and most importantly solar installers for about 6 months. Many installers were trying to sell 'package deals' meaning a little bit of solar and then installation of overpriced insulation work. While I agree that insulation upgrade is important, if the consumer is in half way decent health almost all insulation upgrades can be done by the homeowner with the help of youtube on the internet at an extremely reduced price. Tommy Wood and his son did an admirable install job at my house. No wires are exposed and all panels were installed neatly, with great detail on professionalism. The Laurens County inspector and Laurens Electric Co-Op inspector were impressed with the installation. The actual quote was exactly what I paid and I could not be happier. I can't wait until the peak production months! The system can be monitored constantly by the internet and on smart phones at no additional cost for the life of the system. Tommy Wood was definitely not high pressure as some of the "salesmen" from other companies. Please, whoever you are, as a consumer do your homework before you talk to salesmen from other solar companies. Tommy truly cares about the future of solar energy and it bothers him how some companies do business. In closing, I would highly recommend Palmetto SolarPros to anyone concerned about future utility bills and the environment that you and your children must live in.

Tommy Wood is amazing. He is a consummate professional and very detailed with both the system design and install. We've only had our system on-line for a few weeks but so far, it has exceeded our expectations. We are making about $10-12 a day in solar polar and we've already passed the prime months of spring and early summer. The SolarEdge inverter's with monitoring are awesome and seem to be a great combination with the SolarWorld panels. I highly recommend Tommy as someone to work with on residential solar power applications. He is a genuinely good person who cares about the type of work he does. Great job Tommy!!!
