Great Savings!!!

We have only had two months of power billings with solar, but so far each month has been $12.97 per month, plus we are adding storage to the grid. Normally our electricity bill, paid in Sept & Oct, over a 4 year period averaged $313 for each month. Thus $626 for two months --less the $26 now paid, saved us $574 in utility bills so far. Need a full years experience to really know of full savings, but so far, so good. G.H., CPA

New Star Solar has been wonderful to work with. I normally do not speak with solicitors but when Austin approached me in my front yard there was something about him that made me take the time to talk with him. I decided "what the heck" and set up an appointment for a sales person to contact me. I then meet with Matt. He was so nice. He was very patient with me and my questions and he explained everything in a way that I could understand. I felt he was being very honest with me and I'm sure as much as he wanted the sale (as most sales people do) he did not make me feel pressured at all to buy solar panels. Because of Matt's non pressure sales approach I made the decision then and there to go for it and it has been a positive experience from start to finish. Every person I have worked with from New Star has been wonderful. I had one small incident where a sprinkler pipe was nicked when they had to dig a hole in my flower bed, and it was leaking. I sent a message to Matt and he was on top of it. The next day the owner was in my area and he stopped by and fixed the pipe and even went so far as to secure the pipe for me to make it sturdier. If you are looking for a solar company I would highly recommend New Star Solar, you wont be sorry! I wanted to post pictures of my panel but I was too excited to get the word out about New Star Solar and the amazing experience I have had with them. If I can add them later I will.

After turning several other solar companies away, I decided to let New Star Solar in. They said the right things and had the right solution for me. They had the work done in one day.

So Good, So Far

Chose New Star over several other good options. They were the most professional and mature of the group we interviewed. They're representatives have a breadth of knowledge and experience that out shined their competition. They were honest in their presentation and followed through on their promises and estimates. The pricing was very fair and we are happy with the first year of production. It was a smooth process and now I have my very own power plant on my roof.

Have New Star Solar Be Your Second Opinion

My advice to anyone shopping for solar is get a second opinion! We ended up paying $24K and then getting tax incentives (2K, state; 7K federal) to make it about $15K out of pocket. Our initial estimate was from a real flashy company Solar One ($34K, for a smaller, over-designed system). We even had a third company Solaroo (who gave us a decent quote and said they would beat/match any other quote we got). We went with New Star Solar because we trusted them, by giving us an honest estimate of what we would need and how much it would cost and we had a great experience with New Star Solar. We have been installed and going for a few months now. You will find (if it is not immediately obvious) that the amount of solar energy produced varies greatly from month to month. Our first complete month was January. February doubled January's production and March is well on its way to double February's, so we have seen the difference it can make to our energy bills already (~$80 -> $17). We are going to see the real savings in the summer months, though, where RMP's pricing tiers cost us $150-$300/month in June-August 2016 (!!!). New Star Solar coordinated everything, so our installation went smoothly. They even prepped all of our tax paperwork with instructions, so we had everything we needed to get our tax incentives. They look pretty cool too. We feel proud of our purchase.

New Star Solar made the decision to have solar very easy. Every step was easy, The installation went very well and was fast! They do not take any short cuts in the equipment and installation. They made sure that I was satisfied with the installation. A very professional company to work with. I highly recommend to any one that wants to know if solar is the right fit for them.

The Power of the Sun - Harnessed on my roof!

I made the jump and added Solar Panels and I could not be happier. I worked with James and Taylor (yes, that are their real names) to complete the design and schedule the install. Throughout the entire process, I felt like the only thing that mattered to them was keeping me informed and satisfied. They succeeded in that all while delivering an incredible installation on my home. My installation is a 12KW slystem and I've been watching the power production over the month that it has been up and running. The result have been impressive. During a 10 day span of over 100 degrees this July my system was producing enough power to run my AC and still push back power to the grid. I am Thrilled with New Star Solar. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solar system for their home or business.
