If I could give less than one star to Newstart Solar, I would. Bill, the salesman made the salespitch, next up was Eric, the closer. The day we agreed to have Newstar Solar install the solar panels Eric promised us over 1000.00 because we missed the 2020 rebate incentive and a 3 day emergency battery. About one month later a competitor showed up on my doorstep telling me that he could get us a better deal. I called Eric and told him about the competitor and Eric promised another 2000.00 if I stayed with Newstar. Installation schedule was a joke, I was always calling Eric to see what was going on. I was contacted by Newstar once before installation concerning the installation and the information they gave me was wrong. I called Eric two months after his competitor stood on my doorstep to ask Eric about the deliverance of the battery and the check, Eric told me the check would be sent out in two days. I texted Eric two weeks later and asked if he intended on keeping his promises. "Yes, 100%" he answered. Three weeks later no word from Eric. Get things in writing and I'm not sure that will even help. There has to be better solar companies than Newstar.

We have only had two months of power billings with solar, but so far each month has been $12.97 per month, plus we are adding storage to the grid. Normally our electricity bill, paid in Sept & Oct, over a 4 year period averaged $313 for each month. Thus $626 for two months --less the $26 now paid, saved us $574 in utility bills so far. Need a full years experience to really know of full savings, but so far, so good. G.H., CPA

David Leckie seen to it all the work was done and completed, leaving things in their original condition.

I decided "what the heck" and set up an appointment for a sales person to contact me. I then meet with Matt. He was so nice. He was very patient with me and my questions and he explained everything in a way that I could understand. I felt he was being very honest with me and I'm sure as much as he wanted the sale (as most sales people do) he did not make me feel pressured at all to buy solar panels. Because of Matt's non pressure sales approach I made the decision then and there to go for it and it has been a positive experience from start to finish. Every person I have worked with from New Star has been wonderful. I had one small incident where a sprinkler pipe was nicked when they had to dig a hole in my flower bed, and it was leaking. I sent a message to Matt and he was on top of it. The next day the owner was in my area and he stopped by and fixed the pipe and even went so far as to secure the pipe for me to make it sturdier. If you are looking for a solar company I would highly recommend New Star Solar, you wont be sorry! Loved working with New Star! I had sent out "bids" to other companies and did a lot of research before purchasing. Really enjoyed their professionalism and excellent service. Love my extremely lower power bill now!!!

We even had a third company Solaroo (who gave us a decent quote and said they would beat/match any other quote we got). We went with New Star Solar because we trusted them, by giving us an honest estimate of what we would need and how much it would cost and we had a great experience with New Star Solar. We have been installed and going for a few months now. You will find (if it is not immediately obvious) that the amount of solar energy produced varies greatly from month to month. Our first complete month was January. February doubled January's production and March is well on its way to double February's, so we have seen the difference it can make to our energy bills already (~$80 -> $17). We are going to see the real savings in the summer months, though, where RMP's pricing tiers cost us $150-$300/month in June-August 2016 (!!!).
