NC Solar installed my original panels back in 2014. They did a great job and consistently took care of any warranty issues over the years. When I needed a new roof recently, I decided to upgrade my panels rather than reinstalling the old ones, and I chose NC Solar for a second time. NC Solar installed my first system in 2015 and another in December 2024 on a new home construction. NC Solar’s team delivered on every single commitment. They were responsive during the planning phase, stayed within the project scope, and delivered my system on time and on budget. The Tesla Powerwall 3 is an awesome addition. During a recent wind storm a falling tree knocked out a transformer taking out the grid in my areas. My backup battery seamlessly transitioned to provide backup power. So far my first two power bills have been $0.00, with addition credits being carried forward to my next bill. I am very pleased with NC Solar’s employees, products, and commitment to quality. One more interesting point, a friend of mine purchased a similarly configured system from another solar vendor but paid $20k more.

When I decided going to market for my solar system , NC Solar Now was the third company I had called in the process and Brittany from their sales team was great going through the options , systems sizes and also payment conditions. The entire contract process was smooth and easy to get approved and after closing the deal I was connected with several representatives from NC Solar which took care of each step of my process on a timeline manner and always keeping me informed on the progress. After a month of the system installed my flat billing rate from Duke dropped from $139 to $60 a month , even having an electric vehicle. I definitely recommend having a solar system and mostly working with NC Solar Now.

I am happy with their customer service

This is the worst company I have dealt with in a long time, and there are a lot of crappy companies out there. I purchased my home in 2017 and it came with grid-tied microinverters. The first couple of years everything was pretty good and the system seemed carefree and hands off. In 2020 I started having Enphase IQ7 Microsinverter failures. I called and emailed the company. It took weeks for someone to get back to me. Once they finally did they told me they would order replacement microinverters and send someone out to install them. The new microinverters took two or three weeks for the NCSN to receive them but took another 2 months to come out and install them. After installation, 1 or 2 microinverters still were not reporting. I was told not to worry about it that it's probably just my gateway cannot sense them. Completely disgusted I finally gave up trying to get the last two panels working. In 2022 I noticed a couple more controllers had failed and decided to not bother with them. About 1 month ago I checked on the system and had 7 or 8 failed IQ7 controllers. My system is now operating at about 55% capacity. My system is now seriously crippled. I finally emailed NCSN and Eric responded within a couple of days this time. He checked on the system and said he would order the replacement controllers. That was 3 weeks ago. Eric emailed me a week ago and told me his installer would be out on the next Thursday if it didn't rain. He said if it did rain on Thursday he would have them here the following Tuesday. Well, it rained a lot on Thursday and today is Tuesday. Yesterday I emailed Eric to confirm they were still coming today and I got an out of office message. During our communications I told Eric (who is the service manager bye the way) Oh and Eric's excuse for the last time it took 3 or 4 months was due to labor shortage. But, he assured me this time would be different. Well, so far it's not any different. So, here we go again. They either don't respond or make commitments that they don't keep. I received no communication that they would not be coming today. And the person I was communicating with is on vacation. Great. I would love to be able to find another solar company to deal with or just handle the RMAs myself. But they got me trapped right now. Use this company at your own risk.

I can't speak highly enough of this company and their fine staff. From the very beginning, and our first contact with their sales rep, Jennifer, it was excellent. We spoke to and received quotes from two other companies. One of them has recently gone bankrupt! They were pushy and wanted to sign a contract after our first meeting. They were the only one that sent their salesperson to our house. Jennifer was very cordial and professional, and we spoke via email and phone many times. She suggested some things I am glad we agreed on. We went live this past September 2022, and as of last week, February 21, 2023, we have a credit at Duke of almost $200. After signing the contract, NC Solar Now referred us to a different person to guide us to the next step. Every time we move into a different phase, they have someone in that department to guide us. The only issue we have had, and it was our fault, involved the Enphase App that tells you just about everything that is going on with the system, I changed routers, and it was not happy. We called Eric, who handles all of these "dumb" calls, and makes it all better. They had a crew working nearby, and he sent them that afternoon to fix what was not broken. I also want to commend the install crew that installed out system. The guys were very friendly and allowed me to snoop in their work. I also want to shout out to Ryan, who has kept up with us and insuring we are happy. I am forgetting Some other names, but I can say with no regret that we are very happy with our system, and even more happy that we chose the right company.

I found NC Solar Now team to be very professional starting from the Sales to the installation of the solar system. They coordinated end-2-end with HOA, Utility company, township for the required approvals and provided me the periodic updates on the progress. Sales team explained me the entire process thoroughly. They provided timely clarification to all my queries. It has been a great experience throughout the entire process which was transparent. They have done an excellent work in getting this system installed on time. This system has been running for over 6 months now without any issues. Overall, I am very happy with the service NC Solar Now has provided. I will highly recommend this company.

NC Solar Now was wonderful to work with for my solar project. I interviewed multiple companies before I committed to have the work done and found NC Solar Now to be the most comprehensively clear in all aspects of the project: the types of panels, the work timeline and process, and the cost. Jesse Solomon was great at covering all my options with me and answering my questions. My system was installed in November under cloudy, cold, and rainy skies. Event still, my panels covered 100% of my usage. I pay less for my panels than I did for my electricity use with Duke Power, and I am taking advantage of the 30% tax credit for installing solar on my home. It's been all upside! I highly recommend NC Solar Now!

Awesome experience from start to finish

We chose NC Solar Now because they are locally owned and operated and they had the best warranty. We were completely satisfied with the service they provided us from the initial quote to installation and operation. We highly recommend them.

I love my solar panels and the lower energy cost in retirement. I put the system on the house 5 years ago and at that time about half of the cost was covered by Federal and Duke Energy rebates. The system runs all on its own and I love the "My Solar Edge" website that lets me monitor all system functions. This was with out a doubt the best investment for lower energy cost.

Can I say amazing? A+ at every single stage. I can't say enough about this company. Just do it and go with them and you won't be disappointed. We wanted to install solar on our house, decent size 18kw, and looked at a number of companies trying to find the right fit for us. We looked at the national brands, SunPower, Blue raven, etc, as well as local brands. We instantly clicked with the Salesperson Antonio from NC solar. Very thorough, very knowledgeable, taking the time to help us size the system correctly, while carefully explaining all the nuances of solar including usage, brands, panels etc. Great experience, A+. And their quote was great, it wasn't the cheapest, but was fair, and it beat all the major installers that used subcontractors. After we chose them, it continued with the install, wow! so professional and thorough A+. This also then continued to the after install follow-ups and checkins. A+ all the way.

I installed the system from NC solar now recently.Their price is the most competitive against other vendors. Also their service is fantastic. My neighbor has their system installed as well. I highly recommend NC solar now.

I hired in C solar now to install a new tesla charging station in my driveway. It was a difficult install because it was far away from the outlet which is inside of the garage. I also had to add a second box. They did an excellent job and I couldn’t be happier!

A few years back NC Solar installed my grid tied system and done an excellent job, so when I decided I wanted to install battery backup I chose NC Solar because I knew from experience that they are quality company and they do what they say. They designed my system, sent me a schedule and installed on time and on budget. They did what they said they would do and they delivered. Can't ask for more than that.

Honest folks, provided friendly customer service, cost was the least out of 5 quotes I obtained, got best value for the price.

I got quotes from only two companies; NC Solar had much better pricing and the sales guy was thorough and likable. Not so the "other guys". From sales through installation, no issues and they installed a very good system quickly and neatly. The follow up is awesome, everybody is helpful and if there were more than 5 stars they would get them.

These guys are Great! They solved a problem that our original (out of state) installers left us with! We are up and running. Could not be more pleased and will try and use them for further projects. Five stars are not enough.

I had my solar panels installed about three months ago, and from start to finish the process was easy, and the system exceeded my expectations! I talked to a few other companies, but what I liked best about NC Solar was that the entire operation was turn-key. They measured the roof, brought the panels and brackets necessary, installed the system, did the electrical work and dealt with permits and my power company- I didn't have to do or pay anything after the sale! Electrical work is definitely not my mental forte, but he made everything easy to understand and was even great with my dog. WE HAVE JUST COMPLETED OUR INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION TO OUR SOL AR SYSTEM AND WE COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM NC SOLAR. WE INITIALLY JUST THOUGHT WE WOULD TALK TO THEM AND SEE IF WE THOUGHT IT WAS FEASIBLE FOR US TO CONVERT DUE TO OUR AGE AND THE PAYBACK WE WOULD GET. OUR DUKE ENERGY BILL SEEMED TO BE HEADING HIGHER AND HIGHER. FROM THE FIRST CONTACT WITH THE OFFICE TO OUR VISIT BY SALES REPRESENTATIVE MICAH WE WERE TREATED WITH EXEMPLARY COURTESY AND HELP. MICAH WAS NOT PUSHY, JUST EXPLAINED THE SYSTEM AND GAVE US THE PRICE AND TOLD US TO TAKE OUR TIME TO CONSIDER. WE TALKED ABOUT IT AND DECIDED TO GO AHEAD. THE COMPANY EVEN ARRANGED FOR CAROLINA ROOF COMPANY TO REPLACE OUR SHINGLES AND THIS COMPANY WAS GREAT TOO. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME ON SCHEDULED DAY AND WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND COMPETENT. LEFT THE AREA PROBABLY CLEANER THEN WHEN THEY ARRIVED AND DID SOME EXTRA THINGS, LIKE PAINTING THE VENTS TO BLEND IN WITH THE SHINGLES. AFTER THAT IT WAS WAITING FOR ALL THE PAPER WORK TO BE COMPLETED AND GET THE SOLAR PANELS ON. THIS WAS DONE ON SCHEDULE AND LOOKS GREAT. AFTER THE COMPLETION IT WAS JUST WAIT FOR DUKE TO CHANGE THE METER. AFTER THIS WAS DONE WE HAD A SMALL SITUATION WITH THE MICRO INVERTERS NOT COMMUNICATING WITH THE ENVOY AND WHEN WE CALLED THE COMPANY THEY HAD A TECHNICIAN AT OUR HOUSE WITHIN 30 MINUTES AND HE MADE ADJUSTMENTS AND IT WAS BETTER BUT NOT PERFECT SO JULIAN TOOK THE MATTER INTO HIS HANDS AND DID RESEARCH AND DECIDED TO HAVE THE ELECTRICIAN AND TECHNICIAN COME BACK TO THE HOUSE AND INSTALL A BETTER ACCESS FOR THE ENVOY. AFTER THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED EVERYTHING WORKED IN TIP TOP SHAPE AND WE HIT OUR MAXIMUM POWER LEVEL THAT DAY. WE HAVE NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WE CAME IN CONTACT WITH CHELSEA, WILL MICAH, NOAH, JORDAN, CHRIS BAKER, JULIAN AND THE COMPETENT MABRY'S ELECTRIC COMPANY AND CAROLINA ROOF COMPANY.

Our grid-tied PV system in Raleigh was installed very professionally, all electrical upgrades needed were part of the process. Support was thorough before and after installation, walking us through the coordination with the utility company and all necessary inspections. Cut our electric bill in half and much of the cost was offset by state and federal rebates. Love watching our production remotely via the web. My only regret is that we don't have more square footage available to add even more panels! -dk
