Great local installer

Of all the companies, local or national, that I received quotes from before making a final decision; Mass Renewables gave me the most accurate information. Especially regarding SRECs and how Massachusetts handles them, and how the program is changing. Solar companies don't want you to know this often times so you'll be tempted to take a buyout or lease a system. The installation process was swift and the installers kept me up to speed with what they were doing it and why. I was given a great synposis of how the inverter technology works and what production to expect. Two months after install and production values are as expected and haven't had any problems so far.

Best in the business

I spoke with 4 different companies about my solar project. These guys were hands down the best. Their sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful. Their price was the most affordable. They were the most flexible on the products they were installing as well as financing options. They're entire installation team was awesome and the installation looks amazing. Cant recommend these guys enough.

AAA service from Mass Renewables

I had a 30 panel array installed in 2014 by Mass Renewables and it has met expectations in production. I had a little squirrel chew one of the wires under one of the panels recently. The Mass Renewable team came out removed the nest and fixed the broken connection free of charge. I coudn't ask for better service.

Educational+Responsive+Honest+Knowledgable = Great Experience!

We spent 6 weeks and interviewed 5 different Solar 'integrators/installers' before we went with Mass Renewables (Bellingham, MA). Mass Renewables was the most responsive, educational, honest, had the best price, offered the best guarantees/warrantees -- and their final proposal was very detailed (think 20 pages of ROI details vs. 4-5 pages of marketing BS). I've worked in sales/business development for EMC for 20 years and the proposal reminded me of something we'd give a client for a $1M solution. Not only was the proposal very detailed, but their ROI estimates were conservative and realistic and M/R was readily available to handle any questions on the proposal or anything related to the associated rebates & subsidies. My advice to anyone who's realized that a solar solution is the best investment you can make for your home, I say you should entertain those proposals from 5 different solar installers and follow your conscience. I'm confident if Mass Renewables is part of your evaluation, that they'll be in your top 2 -- if not your top choice. Special thanks to Dianne Martz, Mike Kelley and Nick Hurder for all their help in bringing sustainable energy (and a great investment) to our household.

Fantastic Service

We met with 4 different companies and decided to go with Mass Renewables based on a balance of pricing and quality of service. The deciding factor was a guarantee that we would be able to get into the SREC 2 program which none of the other 3 companies would do. In fact, some of the companies doubted the guarantee due to the timeframe the work needed to be done by and told us they were lying to us. Not only did Mass Renewables keep their word but have given us excellent service. They have been very responsive to all of our questions and concerns and have even taken the time to come out and meet to explain and discuss anything regarding the service. We've seen a tremendous drop in our electric bill and it's still winter so we're looking forward to more production as summer nears and electricity usage goes up. There are so many solar companies out there and I can't speak for any of the others but I can highly recommend going with Mass Renewables.

A 10 in every aspect!

My husband and I started this process of looking at solar and started with Solar City. What a mess they were! Then we met Dianne who from the start of just asking us if we are interested in hearing/ talking more has gone above and beyond for us. She spent the time and answered all of our questions. We had so many questions! But Diane came thru each time with the answers- even late at night when my Husband and I thought of something else- we would email her and she would email back within such a short period of time. We then met Jeff and he did our home inspection- explained everything to a T! Nice, clean, HONEST and professional. The whole process was seamless! We met their master electrician Nick who was on time, clean, completed the job without any hassles to us. Our panels are up and running! They look great, running well and we are so happy we chose Mass Renewables for this project! Nothing but the best in all areas! Great job guys! You are lucky to have such great employees!

From the initial quote process through the final walk through, the entire Mass Renewables team is top notch. I had initially requested a quote in 2015, but we did not move forward with the project at that time. In 2016, we picked up right where we left off and an updated proposal was produced very quickly. Compared to the other installers who submitted quotes, the proposal from Mass Renewables was by far the most complete, detailed and professionally prepared. Once we decided to move forward with the project, I was kept up to date on status and when work would begin. Once the materials were delivered, work began and was completed very quickly. Mass Renewables took care of the permits, coordinated with my utility for the meter swap and ensured that the system was up and running. Lastly, Mass Renewables came out to my house for a final wrap up meeting to review the entire system, to go over the online monitoring portal and answer any questions that I had. Great work from start to end!

great system, great comapny

fantastic experience. these are the guys to use if you're serious. i needed a 40kW+ system -- they suggested, and then installed, 4 trackers plus a roof array. 130 panels total. All done super well, and the perfect solution. Great advice, great work, plus the experience from beginning to end was wonderful. Stop looking -- call Mike.

I could not have asked for a better company to work with. Everyone from Sales to Finance to Installation have been wonderful! They were always super helpful and very responsive to all of my questions. I was most impressed with their work and work ethics. From the beginning until the installation the company kept me well informed. Everything was done as promised and in a timely manner.

Great, efficient, expedient process, professional installation

I ordered a 11.2kW system to be installed (no loan, no lease) on single family home. I looked around (both nationally and locally) before choosing a company and price that I would trust to look after their customer long term. Kudos to the entire Mass Renewables team for being very efficient, Professional and seemlessly skilled in the art of what they do. They make it look too easy (and I consider myself generally not easy to please when it comes to tech... I am an electrical and computer engineer - I design silicon-based devices everyday :) ). I am happy recommend Mass Renewables further to anybody in the Lexington area.

Great Experience

I worked with Mass Renewables after getting multiple quotes from other companies in the area. They offered many types of panels and were open to all my suggestions and questions throughout the process. I ended up with 20 black LG panels (after some design alterations) and am very happy with the finished product. I am looking forward to the many years of being 'off the grid'.

Very pleased with Mass Renewables

A friend recommended Mass Renewables to my wife and me after a couple of solar companies did not think solar would work for our home. To my surprise, Diane at Mass Renewables presented a plan to cover approximately 100% of our home's electric expense. She was also very helpful in answering all of our questions about solar, informing us on the current tax credits and guiding us to a very low-interest solar loan to cover the cost of the entire project. I can't say enough about all the employees who worked at our home installing the system. They were diligent, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Mass Renewables.

Great experience with Mass Renewables

The whole process with Mass Renewables was incredibly smooth and informative. Mike was able to answer all my questions on the initial call, and I had an estimate on my system within days. Deb and Alicia filled out all the paperwork needed, and walked me through the entire process, including the mass solar loan. Jeff and the installation team were all very professional, and kept me informed of everything that was going to be happening. The prices you're going to get from different vendors are all pretty consistent. What made me chose Mass Renewables was their craftsmanship. When I compare the work they did versus other installations I've seen it's not close. All you see are the panels. In other installations you see conduit running all over the roof, and boxes exposed. They take pride in taking the extra time time to hide all the wiring they can. The best was my first electric Bill in August. I saved $300 in the first month.

Mass Renewables Rocks!!

Had system installed July 2015. From start to finish Mike, Jeff and crew were great. Clean install, crew respected the property. Any questions were answered quickly and accurately. My only knock would be that during the install a vent pipe on the roof was relocated without discussing it with me first. I understand why it was moved and have no problem w/ it being done. It just would have nice to be informed before a hole was cut in the roof. I look forward to calling Mass Renewables when the time comes that I need to expand my system.

Excellent Quality Expert Local Solar Installer

Excellent service from start to finish. Regardless of your roof size or orientation, whether you have all day sun or tall oak trees that somewhat limit the amount of sun you have like I do this company will spend the time to see if solar will work for you. The sales person Diane is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about solar. She is able to do an initial review of the property online and over the phone without a huge time commitment by the consumer or hard sales pitch. They will provide excellent advice about location and size of system to meet your expectations. Mike will make sure installation stays on schedule and follow-up afterwards to answer questions and make sure everything met expectations. The foreman Jeff, electricians and installers are not subcontractors and they are also very knowledgeable and personable. They even gave me a couple different options on where to place the converter and meter and they where very flexible with respect to when I wanted the installation to occur . Everyone on their team really put the customer first and did a great job.

Great local company

Jeff and his team were great to work with from day one. Called them with many questions on what was right for me and they did not disappoint. My house is the best looking install in the neighborhood because because they care about their work and take the time to make it right.

Mass Renewables exceeded expectations

A year ago we went Live on the system Mike insured me would provide the Production I needed to eliminate my over $200 a month Electric bill. Their calculations and system has been flawless and exceeded their estimates. The complete process was a great service experience! It was not a sales pitch leaving you in doubt and left hoping for a good outcome. They were truly a pleasure to work with and I hope they continue to succeed, rising to top of any consumers choice for selecting a compnay providing Solar solutions to all.

Simply Awesome

Highly recommend, simply awesome, customer focused. I took months to search for right solar contractor, talked with many big ones and local ones. I am so glad I chose Mass Renewables. I took long time to figure out the right proposal with them, but it was me not them delaying. Dianne (sales-woman) was not once impatient, was happy to talk any time, provided as much information as I wanted. Then I met with owner Mike and had a very similar experience. They were not just trying to sell but build trust and made me aware of many small nitty gritty stuff. Finally I decided to go ahead with installation. Mine was not on the roof, but a ground mount tracker, for which installation was slightly delayed, probably because not many people do it and parts take time to arrive. The installation was seemless, the whole crew was courteous and the other owner Jeff took extreme care and addressed my concerns. Already recommended Mass Renewables to few friends who had similar great experience.

Awesome - Beginning to end

From the initial contact with Dianne, thru the final handoff of warranty information, the process was great. They explained everything that they would do and the approx. timeline that it would take. All employees were fabulous! The product has thus far exceeded projections (up 20% for first two months)! Tell them Alan sent you!

Working with Mass Renewables was a great experience from the no pressure sale to the quality installation. I am loving watching my electric meter run backwards and look forward to the solar credit check each quarter for the next 10 years!

Hands down...Awesome!

Mike and his people put in two huge adjustable arrays at our house. The placement had some unusual circumstances and needless to say, of course, the deeper they got into the installation, several addition challenges popped up. I couldn't be more impressed with the tenacity with which they worked on the issues. Communication was exceptional, work ethic was of the utmost and they didn't stop until all was perfect. One more point... I know that sales documentation can be a little optimistic. I have to say that the solar production we're getting is actually in excess of their estimates and we haven't paid a cent for electricity since it has been fully operational! If you're looking for a straight, no baloney installation that works like it's supposed to, make sure you talk with these people.

Recent Solar Installation

Mass Renewables was the only solar company that explained owning the panels versus leasing them. The information they provided was instrumental in our decision on how we were going to finance the solar project. Our rep Dianne was with us from step one and was available even on weekends. They work with very open and honest business practices which instilled a strong confidence in us regarding their work. Fast, efficient and always available to answer questions or work through any snags along the way this company is one of the best companies we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We have a strong trust with Mass Renewables and will recommend them to anyone looking to start a solar project.

Great Overall Solar Experience

Mass Renewables gave us a great solar experience! From their no-pressure salesperson to their flexible and easy installation and set-up, the entire process went very smoothly and was handled quite well! Their salesperson was very knowledgeable about the solar industry and was able to explain the overall benefits of solar as well as the differences between Mass Renewables and their competitors from firsthand experience. She was a no pressure sales person that gave us the information and allowed us to make the decision without pushing us into anything. The installation and set-up process were also flawless. The installers were very courteous and considerate. They did a nice job explaining what they were doing as well as making sure they cleaned up after themselves. In addition, they were very flexible and worked around our schedule. Finally, Mass Renewables did a great job as project managers, helping us with every part of the solar experience, all the way from providing us easy to use financing options to connecting us with National Grid to setting us up with someone who can manage the SREC program for us. They are a full-service operation that does it all! We are thrilled to have converted to solar energy and are so happy to be working with Mass Renewables. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is considering converting to solar.
