Our family Medina would like to talk about our experiences with Kota Energy Group. JP Morgado helped our neighbor Mr.Soriano switch over to Solar before us. We had a bad experience before with a different company, with a pushy salesman. Being able to have someone understand us and our needs is a must.Our main concern was also being able to understand what exactly Solar is and what it would do for our family. Our family is also Spanish speakers, so it was very helpful to have a bilingual representative not only explain it in English but also in Spanish. Not everyone's electricity bill is the same, some have extremely high bills but our home was only $100 monthly. Not only do we have a lower electricity bill now but KOTA was also able to install a new roof to our entire home and add 10 Panels at a lower cost than PG&E'S scary increasing rates. There is also a tax credit available, where they return 26% back to you. It's a no brainer, if you have any questions & are considering switching over to Solar I highly recommend contacting JP Morgado.

Great Overall Service!

Alex S, my salesperson, was great to work with. He's been my main contact throughout the whole process and has been able to get me answers for all of my questions and concerns. He's very attentive and, most importantly, always follows through and always follows up. The installation process was seamless and the panels themselves are very attractive. They're without a doubt the nicest in the neighborhood. Very pleased with my decision to go with KOTA.

So many solar panel salesman have knocked on our door in the past year or so, but we decided to go with Kota Energy Group because Ross was not only so knowledgeable, but super friendly, personable, respectful and not pushy at all. The entire process was so simple and efficient with constant communication about what was going on. We felt like more than just another customer.. they took good care of us. Very happy!!

I had just moved in to my new place and was considering the option for solar when Alex and Tyler presented me with the KOTA option. After several visits and discussions it seemed a very good option! I loved that it was a US based program and that even the solar panels are made in the US and had a 100% guarantee by both the solar company and KOTA. Tyler and Alex were present for every step of the project and checked in regularly! It was great to work with the representatives and the company. It ended up being a very smooth and efficient process. I have no regrets about my decision for solar and to work with Tyler and Alex of KOTA!

Customer Service At It's Best

From the start until the finish, I found every aspect of this experience wonderful. I had noticed my neighbor getting solar panels, it was neat and quick. So I asked her, she referred me and the next day the sales person, Ross Vera, came by. I really appreciated how Ross explained things to me, taking into account my experience working for a public utility. He didn't dumb it down, but was open to explaining it in a way I understood. The follow up prior to, during and after the installation has been top notch. I would highly recommend Ross and Kota Energy Group to all my friends. I also had a wonderful experience with Salem Hoffman, and that phone call was informative and personable. They took the time to explain the reason for the follow up and other items I cannot recall at the moment. It was a delightful conversation with Salem, I found their social and customer relation skills to be excellent.

Amazing Service

This company is amazing to work with. Their panels are beautiful. Everyone that I work with in this company is very efficient, respectful and know what they are doing. I've been working with Adom since the installation process and he is so knowledgeable and super nice. He will make sure all our questions and concerns get answered in a timely manner. You will not regret working with them.

Great salesperson

Nate did a great job of explaining the Solar system and the financial options. He answered all of my questions and helped me to feel comfortable with my decision. Also, KOTA handled all of the necessary government and utility inspections and connections. I highly recommend KOTA for anyone looking to install solar for their home or business.

Great Company w Excellent Service

Initially, Kota presented themselves just like any other companies that come knocking at your door unwanted. When originally denying any interest in anything the representative was saying, his professionalism, his relativeness and his overall friendliness demonstrated that he was about more than just meeting a quota. So I gave him a chance. Tyler, the Kota representative, appeared very knowledgeable and passionate about his job, about solar panels and more importantly about saving us money. He answered all questions quickly and honestly- we even threw in some oddball questions to see if he'd change up, but he did not. His presentation was easy to understand, addressed all of my previous concerns and did not take too much of my time. We told him we'd think about it, even showed his proposal to a family member who worked in the solar industry and was informed that this was a real nice deal. My family member asked if Tyler had disclosed certain things that other companies shy away from and as I was able to answer it we got the green light. From there Tyler came back, got us approved and had back up plans in the event that we couldn't get approved the more traditional and preferred route. He was prepared! he checked in with us every step of the way. the financing company has also been a pleasure to work with as no one is "bugging" us but rather ensuring that we understand everything and are happy with the service and the product. Tyler has been a part of every step and GoodLeap, the financing company, has been just as friendly and helpful. As we plan to purchase more property there is no questions about which company we will be our solar installers. Great company! Great Service and we are now a energy efficient, money saving solar friendly house!

This company is the greatest.

Nathan and Adom have helped us out so much. We will be saving money and that’s wheat counts. Both have explained in perfection how the product works. If you have any questions Nathan has been there so fast. This is the company to use.

Rae is great

I had a very positive experience working with Rei Dallett. He is a friendly and responsive person who always answered my texts when I had questions. Installation and permitting was very quick. My advice would be to follow up with PG&E once the system has been permitted. Rae can tell you how and it just ensures that everything moves along.

If you're in the Bay Area, ask for Ray!

Ray McAlees was such a good guy. He was patient, sat down with me and went through the numbers. When I was still unsure, he worked with his manager, Trevor, to give me a really good deal I could not pass up. The solar installation went without a hitch and Ray was sure to call me daily to work out any issues or delays.

Excellent Experience with KOTA

We recently had a 10.8KWH system installed on our roof from Kota. From the initial contact, to quoting, installation and go live - KOTA overdelivered. Really appreciated Alex and Austin helping us understand the financial benefits of the system and being there as needed every step of the way. We had a slight delay with go-live due to a paperwork issue with the city - but they kept us up to date and resolved the situation.

Solar Installation by KOTA Team

This was one of the best experiences I've had with dealing with a solar company and a major installation. Drake and Chance dealt with the sales, contracting and project scheduling. They were both very professional and knowledgeable about the KOTA Solar panel product and installation details, and were always readily available to answer all of my questions, even on the weekends. They could be easily reached by both email and phone. The installation team was incredible. They arrived promptly at 8 am ad were done with the install by 12:30 pm. One team was installing the panels on the roof while the other team installed the electrical panel boxes that interfaced with the solar panels and the power. The team was friendly, answered all my questions and even swept the pine needles off the roof and from the gutters on both sides of the garage roof where the panels were installed. The clean-up afterwards was immaculate!! I am so impressed by this company. They delivered the product in the timeline they stated and the solar panels look great on the roof!! I highly recommend this company and their solar panels to anyone!!

Do NOT use Kota for your solar needs

Please do NOT use Kota for your solar needs. Their internal business processes and communication are terrible. After a one hour site survey, three men showed up to install solar panels on my tile roof, just to have them leave 5 minutes later telling me that they couldn’t install solar panels on my flat tile roof. You heard that correctly, a solar panel broker that doesn’t know how to install solar panels on a tile roof. Kota’s first quote was based on their lidar heat map software, and that estimate was way lower from the revised estimate given to me by their operations team. Then, after I was informed that they were “afraid of breaking tiles on my roof,” I was given yet another estimate. Three estimates later, a cost increase of almost 80% from their initial estimate, the signs were clear that they didn’t know what they were doing and I needed to find another solution. How many estimates was it going to take before they felt confident they could do the job? For the thousands of dollars you’re going to spend on your home, do NOT use this broker. There are many other options so find an actual roofer and please don’t let this startup company Kota experiment on your home’s roof. Walk away. Easy comfortable process from start to finish

Our solar story began with a knock on the door and two really nice young men named Adom and Jordan. Talking to them was like hanging out with friends, there was zero sales pressure, all questions were answered, and it was just kind of natural that we would sign up with Kota. The proposal they gave us was on an interactive website that also explained the financials, and the guys went over our PG&E bills with us too. Jordan met with us at our request several times before we signed up. They took care of the permits, design, install and coordinating with PG&E. We appreciate how responsive Jordan was, he always got back to us when we had questions while waiting on the city to issue the permit, and he stopped by the day after install to see how the panels turned out. Once we had power he also came by to show us how to use the app. We are happy with the panels and we are glad that we got to work with Jordan on the whole process.

Great solar company to work with!

My sales rep Jordan is awesome! The whole process was easy and trouble free. Jordan always kept me updated about where the project was which took lot of anxiety out of the purchase. The installation was quick and done correctly. The solar is up and running great.

JP Morgado a great servant leader for a great company KOTA.

It was a great experience getting the Solar System to our house thank you to JP Morgado. He was so amazing from the beginning to the endow this process. He was very detailed oriented on each step starting from the first meeting had, very honest person, he was in touch with me frequently during the entire process even when everything was done he was checking out and making sure that everything was working good or if we have any question about the process. You can have the best company but if you don't have the right person to represent you that might work against you. Installation team were very good, people on the phone from KOTA were very good as well, the timing expectation on every step was excellent according what they promise. It was a great experience with JP Morgado and KOTA. I feel like I didn't gain just an excellent Solar System but I gain a friend with JP Morgado. Thank you all for a great job.

Great service

We had a great experience from start to finish with Kota. Everything felt seamless. Our energy consultant, Nate Zicherman, was fantastic, and and inspires confidence every step of the way. If you’re in the market for solar, Kota is the way to go.

Excellent Customer Service

Traditionally I would not leave a review but feel that the level of service we received was superior and has to be recognized. We met with Daniel Stockton l and really had little interest in this whole solar program thinking we knew everything. I was wrong! I quickly was educated about the benefits of solar, how electric companies operate and how we would be saving money in the years to come. Let’s face it the rates with electric companies will continue to increase! I’m so thankful we decided to pursue this opportunity and found it to be very streamlined. The entire staff at Kota was professional, on time and super friendly. I highly recommend reaching out to Kota and specifically to Daniel as the level of service was amazing! And one of the coolest benefits is the app you will receive once installation has been completed… you can track your energy production by panel! Thank you Daniel and the entire Kota team who helped my family become part of your solar family. We are very happy we made this decision!

A Wonderful Experience

Kota installed a solar system for us over the summer. Customer service was excellent. Rae was our point person and he was fantastic–very knowledgeable, outstanding communicator, and diligent with follow-ups. Kota wasn't the least expensive quote I received but because their estimate was much more thorough I felt more confident selecting them. The installation team was fast, clean, and courteous, as were the inspectors. I would highly recommend Kota.
