Kasselman Solar

We Should Have Done This Earlier

We made a big mistake with Kasselman Solar – that was not getting this project started sooner!!! Our initial consultation with Stephen was informative with no pressure at all. And perhaps if they do have a flaw it is that they are not pushy enough! We took a long time and talked to many other companies and then we thought some more. Stephen would check in with us from time to time but was never pushy. We finally realized what we kind of realized all along, that the microinverters are the way to go and Kasselman was the company to work with. They took care of everything and since we were never in a hurry we were never pushed for an update and then Jillian called and said we were ready to go and the system was installed about a week before the original projected date. The crew was excellent every step of the way. They were courteous and cleaned up everything. Although there is some banging in the construction my wife said she often barely knew they were there. The crew got the work done in less time than they told us to expect. Jillian came out for the set up and start up at a time that was very convenient to our work schedule and probably not convenient to her schedule. And now we are making our own electricity! This process could not have been smoother and our only wish was that we trusted our instincts and signed up with them right away.

Love our Array

Couldn't be happier with the level of workmanship, quality, materials and customer service. Highly recommend Kasselman for your solar needs!!!

Love my solar Panels

I got a couple different solar quotes. And decided to go with Kasselman, they had better panels that were Made in the USA... and micro inverters. A lot better than one single inverter. And a 25 year warranty. Nothing better than owning your own panels. I would recommend Kasselman to anyone who is interested in solar panels

My new solar system.

The team as Kasselman were great to work with and used all the experience they have gained as electricians in this new industry. It all started with the insistence on meeting face to face to talk about their solution, the costs, the differentiators etc. and continued with an incredible, professional installation team, a project manager who communicated very well, and ended with the CEO coming to drop off and setup the last few pieces. All in all it was well worth it and I cannot wait to upgrade to grid tied battery system when it comes out. The technology is cutting edge, with micro-inverters, and web based monitoring. If there was any tiny piece I could ding them on, it was the fact that I was lost with the financing through NYSERDA and the third party bridge piece. Not entirely their fault as the whole system was swamped during this spring. I would 100% recommend them and will use them to expand in the future.

Electric hog

We researched many Solar Companies trying to decide if we wanted to lease, produce electric to have it sold back to us for a fee or purchase...once we sifted through all the smoke screens we chose Kasselman Solar. The first thing we noticed they gave us the facts there were no smoke screens at all. Then with the way they handled the entire process we felt very confident we made the right decision. We held off doing a review as we wanted to make sure of everything and to give an honest review. We already generated enough solar power that we are ahead of what we used last year and it has been a rainy season. All the ones we researched Kasselman Solar know what they are doing after all they come from a family of electricians which solar and electric go hand and hand...Please contact us we will be happy to answer any of your questions or concerns. This is really a no-brainer... buy don't lease...Kasselman helps you...from the beginning to the middle to final installation and they are still checking to make sure we are happy with our system. Now that truly is customer service!

Made in the USA

I met with 5 different solar companies and decided that Kasselman best fit my needs. The system was installed in one day by Kasselman Solar. Their products are all USA made and are top of the line. The system has been working since April without any problems. I would recommend Kasselman to anyone interested in installing a solar system. A great company to work with.

Great Experience

It took me 2 years of research to finally commit to the installation of a solar system for my home. I tend to get lost in the details before making any decision that I usually drive most people crazy with questions. The team at Kasselman Solar answered all of my questions in record time. I am very happy with my decision to go with Kasselman Solar. Their choice in the equipment they supply is top quality and the latest technology. Both the panels and inverters are warranted for 25 years and Kasselman warranties their work including labor for 10. My system includes efficient solar world Monocrystalline solar panels, which are made in the USA and come in all black (don't see the aluminum triangles), enphase 250 micro-inverters (over 800,000 in use in Hawaii) http://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/enphase-to-help-hawaii-ride-its-solar-energy-wave, and a low profile mounting system called Zilla Phantom instead of a rack system (I had some concerns at first but it worked well and looks great). There is some debate about micro vs. string inverters. I wanted the micro-inverters because each panels output is not affected by the other panels in the system (dirt, defective panel, snow, etc) a defect is easier to troubleshoot, they are more efficient, and each panel can be monitored on a computer. I also think they are safer because you don't have high voltage sitting on your roof and they can be shut down at the source (solar panel) if a fire were to break out and fireman needed to work on the roof Every person I dealt with at Kasselman Solar was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Even the wind and hail my poor installers had to endure did not change their demeanor. Once they started the job, they did not quit until the installation was complete. After the system passed the electrical inspection, Steve Kasselman came back to go over the monitoring system. We had some technical difficulties with my wifi system, but again, he did not quit until the trouble was rectified and my system was working. Enphase has great ratings on the internet and their monitoring system enlighten is easy to use. My experience with Kasselman was exceptional.

Friendly, local, and affordable

Kasselman Solar was great. The solar panels work fine, the workers were very polite and they installed the solar panels before the deadline. Also the panels were made in the U.S and the price was right. Its nice to work with a local business.

No Better System than with Kasselman Solar

From the initial consultation with Stephen Clemens, through the installation with Jillian, until the system was turned on with Steve Kasselman, everything flowed smoothly, professionally and very quickly. The installers showed up to start as promised and finished exactly on time. The system was inspected quickly and Jillian and Steve were immediately at our door to turn it all on. Now we can sit back and watch our electric meter run backwards. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better company and system.

Solar Installation

Great from start to finish. Staff is very informative, polite and professional. They take the time to explain your system so you are comfortable and understand. Top notch company, I highly recommend them for your solar needs.

Great Installation

100% Satisfaction. From the initial phase of our sales consultation until the new meter was turned on Kasselman Solar was professional, curteous and knowledgeable. All required permits were obtained in a timely manner and Kasselman coordinated all needed utility inspections. Installation was complete in 2 days. Panels look nice, no silver gridlines. All tax credits promised were received. Would highly recommend Kasselman Solar..

Going solar in the Capital Region? Look no Further!

These guys are the greatest, had multiple quotes from other companies and they were by far the best option with the best product, the best installation and not to mention the best price. They made the whole process super easy and was as simple as signing my name a few places. Had a few questions before the install and the owner was answering my questions via e-mail as late as midnight, now that is dedication right there! They have a big emphasis on customer service and 100% customer satisfaction and and couldn't agree more. Have had the system going strong the past week and my meter just keeps rolling backwards. If you have been thinking of going solar look no further, 5 Stars all the way.

Great company! The sales person was enthusiastic and responsive to all of my many questions. got the job done quickly and right and now my system is up and running and saving me money would highly recommend

Great Installation and Customer Service

Excellent People to work with. The follow up and personal care is intact. After the horror stories of the National Installers, I decided to go local with Kasselman. I felt there were definitely intrinsic value in going with a local company and I'm very happy I did. The Team was professional, punctual and provided adequate knowledge transfer. This will be a 25+ year relationship and I look forward to the continuous Great Support and Value. The relationship is thus that I know quite a few Team members by their first names. The highlight for my boys were seeing Kasselman's drone take off and buzzed the house to obtain pictures. Technologies, like their Solar components, at the cutting edge. Nice !

Excellent company!!!

This company was straight forward, honest and got the job done. They took care of EVERYTHING needed to get our house up and running on solar power and were responsive to every concern and question. I highly recommend Kasselman.

Go Solar with Kasselman Solar

It took my husband and I a few years to finally make the commitment to go solar and we are HAPPY we did in October 2014. We looked at leasing solar panels but decided it was in our best interest to own our solar panels and went with Kasselman Solar to have them installed. Kasselman Solar is great to work with...they are professional, knowledgeable and dependable. If your interested in going Solar, I recommend you give Kasselman Solar a call, you won't be disappointed.

Solar at 101 Fairlawn Ave, Albany

After getting through the initial hurdle of getting the right information and deciding on a system, Steven Kasselman personally oversaw installation, multiple further questions from us, and subsequent help getting the electrician and inspectors in, setting the wi-fi connection, and witnessing our first watts being produced by the new system. His help and professionalism were top rate, honest, and thoughtful. It became a lot easier to deal with the transition feeling that Kasselman had our best interests in their minds. We are thus far quite content with the micro-inverter system and would not hesitate to recommend the company for solar.

Highly recommended

From start to finish Kasselman Solar has maintained exceptional customer service. Steve was upfront and honest on cost, time to install, and completion date. NO OTHER COMPANY CAN DO THIS! Trust me when I tell you that Kasselman Solar should be your first choice!

Great Job

We are so pleased with our system. The work was done in a professional manner and to our specifications. The personnel were very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. I would recommend Kasselman Solar to anyone who is looking to install a system, they know how to design the perfect system, they did so well that our first bill was 1/2 what it was previously. If you want a company that is knowledgeable and customer oriented, this is the one.

Kasselman Solar - Solar the way it should be

Kasselman Solar was the first solar sales and installation contractor we spoke to who provided one stop shopping from panel selection to financing to installation. The first three contractors we spoke to either provided only power purchase systems or we had to apply for financing from multiple lenders and pay top dollar for our panels. Kasselman Solar made it easy and we were up and running producing power within 2 months of signing the contract. Kasselman's market power got us top end panels for half the cost of the nearest competitor for the same model and they look good!! No silver lines on black panels looking like a checker board. Sleek, black on black panels and the wiring to the breaker box hidden under the roof with no ugly silver wire enclosures running down the side of your house like the power purchase guys. I highly recommend Kasselman Solar. You will not be disappointed.
