Kasselman Solar evaluated my property for Solar. We reviewed the options and what works best for me. They were very knowledgeable with the tax incentives. Throughout the process, they were very helpful and responded quickly. I would highly recommend this company!

I was thrilled with Kasselman! The entire experience, from design and quote to installation was professional, honest, accurate, and easy. I had 5 quotes, and Kasselman was the most reasonable in terms of price and service. After i signed the contract, Jeremiah H. was fantastic, guiding us through the steps, from onsites, permitting, installation, and final inspection. He was attentive, proactive, and always available to answer my questions. Everything went off without a hitch, and in the 3 months since the panels went online, we’ve produced even more than estimated. I truly couldn’t be happier with the experience!

Professional and efficient service every step of the way. Jeremiah, my project manager, made sure everything stayed on track and he answered every one of my questions quickly and thoroughly. The panel installation went well and the integration with NYSEG went quickly. In total it was less than 2 months from signing to a fully functioning and integrated solar system. I can’t recommend Kasselman enough. They were professional, efficient, and responsive throughout the process. While the initial site restoration for driveway and lawn repair wasn’t quite up to the same standard as the seamless solar panel installation, a quick text message to address my concerns was all it took for them to remedy the situation promptly. Overall, a solid 5-star experience.

Spent a lot of time planning where equipment locations were to be installed. Come install the solar box was installed completely off the plan in a different location. The wiring was sloppy at best. They fixed the wiring but box stayed where they installed it. Just looked in my attic for a different reason noticed the conduit location that the solar wiring comes inside through is now leaking. Correspondence has been sent to Kasselman with no response.

Kasselman put 12 panels on our roof. They did a great job explaining how the system works. Would recommend them to others.

Had a great experience with them all the way through the sale. Very responsive and helpful. Then after 2 years I had roof leak issues on 1 occasion and panel malfunction on another. Nearly impossible to get help after they made their sale. Dozens of phone calls before I finally for to a manager to fix my leak problem that leaked into my babies bedroom. They didn't care except that I was getting upset. The second problem was only that the panels quit working. They didn't care whatsoever and never returned my calls or helped. I had to figure it out on my own.do not trust them or there supposed warranty.

Kasselman Solar, LLC installed a 45 cell, 19.13 kW (DC) solar array on my house on October 14/15, 2024. I was very happy with every stage. I like the fact that K-S took care of all the paperwork, including financing, permits, and contacting my utility. I was kept informed every step of the way.

The process was simple and all questions were answered promptly.

We were complete novices to specifics about solar and are not technically minded. Out initial contact rep. and project manager kept us on track, informed, and explained nicely. The project ran smoothly enough with no complaints. We are saving huge amounts of money each month, and are thrilled to be producing our own power. Since we have heat pump heating and hot water we are saving the max. It was a great decision.

Kasselman told me I’d receive an interest rate of 3.5% based on location and setting up ACH and that was so untrue, my rate stood at 6.99% despite them telling me it would automatically go to the 3.5%. Was so mislead and now it’s costing me over $9,000 in interest over the term of the loan. Company communication is very poor and they didn’t even try to help me out, they pretty much said “oh well”. All that being said the work was well done and I’m happy with the solar system, the interest rate and poor communication gets them a 1 star.

Our Kasselman Solar system has been up & running for 6 years now. During this time it has produced over 51Mwh of clean energy with no issues. Year after year, we produce the same amount electricity that we consume. This not only saves us money - it also makes us feel good about doing our part. I believe the folks at Kasselman Solar are second to none when it comes to the knowledge, quality and workmanship needed to help us all make a difference. Thank you and keep up the good work!

I have been a customer of Kasselman for 4 years. I will start by saying the install was done very clean but that is only due to the fact I am in the industry and was able to watch them work. I have had nothing but issues with the equipment since the install and along with the horrible customer service this company provides. I have spoken with the owner, you would think he would care about his company, but I was sadly mistaken. I would also like to add that this company sent a very unqualified person to open my MSP and check the wiring that they had previously installed. When this so called "electrician" which he was not left my home. I proceeded to check the MSP to see what was completed only to find my generator breaker jammed into the on position. The scary part it was jammed under the safety lock that does not allow both breakers to be on at once. The two breakers I am referring to is your Main and the generator 50-amp breaker. Oh, to make it worse they installed this so that adds to how disturbed I am by the lack of knowledge and also lack of safety on Kasselman's part since he was not a licensed electrician working in a main panel Please realize this business sends unlicensed and unqualified people to work on the electric at your home never considering the safety of their clients and families. This is not something to play with especially when they are performing work that is supposed to be done by someone licensed and are just a step away from burning a home or business down I will be taking my complaint to the state licensing board and push for this company to be evaluated. This is just a recipe for disaster gambling with people lives by not following state electrical guidelines along with NYSERDA's. They claim to be on the up and up, but I have had the privilege of speaking with the techs there and they said they do this all the time and don't care about how the work gets done as long as they get paid! I also still have my original issues with the roof.

We installed solar panels on our flat-roofed stucco house. Kasselman Solar did a fine job, from the initial help we got from its salesperson, Mark Bomba, to the final installation itself and the assistance from Matt Christian, our project manager. Everything went very smoothly. The system is up and running well. We haven't had any problems.

The experience was seamless. Many times you go into these large projects not knowing if the partner you select will live up to expectations. From the initial inquiry to the planning all the way through installation, this was a very comfortable experience. At no point in time did we feel they did not have our best interests in mind. Our install was a 72 panel array with trenching and all the things inbetween. They did a tremendous job from our project manager to the guys on the ground. They were thoughtful about our property and made sure they minimzed any impact to the land. From the electricians to the installers to the guys doing the trenching to the PM and the upfront sales folks; they are top quality and you can feel assured they'll do the job right for any sized project.

I'm day 1 after activation of my system and unfortunately a cloudy day so haven't been able see full performance of the array but the interface and monitor system is very slick! The communication of the sales team and crew was very good. They answered all my questions about the process and worked with me in outfitting the best array for my application. 4 stars "on schedule" as we were delayed some in the the outset of the project and getting the project finished. This is partly my fault too though as we had to rectify schedules. Communication good throughout. 4 stars on installation quality because there was some scrap installation materials left on my roof. Not a lot of material but a little messy though not a big deal.

This is the kind of review I love to be able to write! My experience with Kasselman and every employee I had the pleasure of working with was pure professionalism, punctuality and personability. In other words: PERFECTION. I’ve waited to write this until my system was fully up and running so I could give a comprehensive review. It’s working like a charm. From my first phone call with Samantha to set up the meeting with my sales guy, Peter Gonazalez, to the visit from the site technician, Jason, to my project manager, Brandon, to my project foreman, Ray, and their electrician, Alec, and the four installers, Ryan, Laquan, Chris and Rodger, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, on time, and just amazingly good at what they do. This team literally does EVERYTHING right down to the tiniest details. I researched four companies, met with three and ultimately chose Kasselman for their phenomenal reviews and BBB accredited A+ rating and just how buttoned up their process is. And I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The entire process was painless, seamless and, dare I say it, actually FUN. I don’t particularly relish having contractors in my home but they were so thorough in cleaning up after themselves it was almost as if they’d never been here. And Peter showed up after everything was done to take super cool drone footage of my project. Solar is a big investment and my efforts toward finding the “just right” vendor took some time but, hopefully my review can help lessen that effort for anyone else looking to do solar. Kasselman Solar was a great company to work with. Professional at every step, clear and regular communication, and they handled everything. The system works very well and is offsetting most of my energy consumption. After I update my ancient water heater, I will generate more than I use most days. The app which monitors production and usage is helpful, letting me see my system anytime. Highly recommended!

Excellent communication, Install did not result in any technical issues or accidental damage. System is working well. Permits obtained as Kasselman had promised Project took some time but certainly understandable there are many moving parts as far as other work that needed to be done related to the project but not done by Kasselman such as trees trenching roof etc. I definitely would recommend this company for your solar install.All aspects are covered and there is excellent communication as previously mentioned

Our design and installation went smoothly and according to schedule. We're now producing above estimates and I couldn't be happier!

Kasselman was one of six solar companies I contacted and was the one I chose. Based on my energy consumption they suggested 16 panels. I said why not fill that side of my roof with panels, as many as you can fit? Which turned out to be 22. Which is great, because when I get an electric car I still won't have to pay for electricity. And tax benefits pretty much cut the cost in half. They kept me apprised every step of the way (and my village's building inspector took only a couple of days to turn around the paperwork). There was one glitch but it was minor- they were waiting for something from the building inspector, but when I called him to follow up he said no, just go ahead. I signed my contract mid-July and before the end of August we were up and running (Con Ed takes about a week to approve turning on the system once it's approved by the electrical inspector). Way faster than I expected. So far for Sept-Dec the panels have produced 21% more than Kasselman's estimates. So I'm thrilled. May never have to pay an electric bill again (except for a $19 a month connection fee). Oh, one more thing- the inverters they chose were the current generation. I didn't know it at the time but the company that was my second choice would've installed inverters that are one generation older. The ones they used, from Enphase, come with an app so you can see exactly how much you're producing and consuming, in 15 minute intervals. You can even look panel by panel if you want.

Excellent team. David K was honest and knowledgeable. Rob led our project team and was approachable, prompt and maintained timely communications. The installation team was professional and skilled. Our one year production was 112% of predicted production. Overall very pleased.

The whole process was very smooth, the job got done incredibly well and there was constant communication throughout the entire thing. We has a large job that required some additional roof supports. It was completed in less then 2 days with such grace and attention to detail. Everyone I came into contact with was always very friendly and eager to answer any questions I may have had. Absolutely recommend. I will try to remember to attach a photo to this review at a later point because it is very slick and beautiful looking.

While representatives from other companies were competent in explaining processes of installation and power production, these were essentially salespeople who had worked in other fields—were astute and dedicated hawkers—but paled next to David, who not only has an engineering degree from Georgia Tech but is also a committed and practiced environmentalist. Our primary aim in purchasing solar panels was not simply to reduce our electrical bills but to contribute to the reduction of climate change. Thus, working with an experienced and devoted environmentalist added an element of communality and trust in our decision to select Kasselman of Albany. The entire process was a matter of trust. Kasselman is an electrical company in business in Albany since 1946, inducing confidence since it was not a neophyte operation tethered to a start-up impulse. Kasselman delivered fully on all aspects of the project, never falling short, but rather fulfilling everything as described and promised with unerring regularity and timeliness. Communications were lucid, congenial, reassuring, unfailingly polite, and supportive, and we were never disappointed. We have been supplying Consolidated Edison with our excess power since the panels went up in April this year and owing the power company nothing. We chose Kasselman after interviewing a hand full of other solar vendors in our area. We were particularly impressed with David Kowalsky, their design engineer. David is very knowledgeable and the whole process was very straightforward. We got exactly what we discussed and the our energy output is even higher than we were promised. The project manager, Rob, and the installation crew was also very professional, enthusiastic about their work and did a great job very and were very quick about it. It was all around a great experience and we highly recommend David Kowalsky and the entire Kasselman crew.

I had previously met with a few "big" companies. They all wanted to lease the equipment over a 25 year period. Kasselman came in with a purchase option spread over 20 years at a lower price. System performing better than estimated. RE

The salespeople are not upfront, promising that the system we installed would cover 121% of our electric. It covers about 80%. The costumer service is horrible. They don’t monitor the system as they promised. Whatever you do, don’t let them talk you into a battery. It’s just an overpriced backup generator. So sorry I used this company.

If you want a family level of respect and not a corporate I dont care about you attitude go with Kasselman. From the start of my project with the initial call I felt like I mattered. The Receptionist, to the sales advisor (who handled all of my questions and concerns with class), to the install crew ( Who were all professional and beyond friendly). These guys are the ones you want at your house. This experience has made me realize the old school family run attitude of business still exists. However they train their staff should be the benchmark.

Everyone I dealt with at Kasselman was professional and personable. I started the process with David Kowalsky, PV Design Engineer, who patiently answered all of my questions and helped me figure out what size system I should get. There was no pressure at all and I never felt like I was being sold something. His approach was more as a consultant and much less "salesly' than other companies. For the installation stage, I was assigned to Nick Coveney, Project Manager. He returned all my calls promptly, was flexible in scheduling the work and stayed on top of things the whole way. I always felt that Nick was looking out to make the installation go as smoothly as possible. Even their roof inspector was helpful beyond what he needed to do for the project. After the installation was completed, I got a call from David when he saw that the weather forecast called for a storm with high winds and he wanted to make sure I added the panels to my homeowner’s insurance policy. From start to finish, these folks proved to be exactly who you want do business with. I highly recommend them.

I discovered Kasselman through a yard sign in Roscoe. Called them and Marc came by with his drone and advised me well. Now I have 17 panels on the roof plus the electric vehicle charger and producing lots of electricity. The best thing is passing filling stations and driving on my very own solar energy! The Kasselman experience has been wonderful and I now ask myself “what took me so long?”. It’s such a no brainer: saving the planet & saving my wallet! I can definitely highly recommend the company to anyone considering solar energy. They’re the best!

I reached out to Kasselman Solar when I saw that one of my solar panels had a production issue using my monitoring app. The service team had noticed the issue and already contacted enphase for a replacement. The service rep, Emmanuel confirmed that I was on the schedule and within 2 days after my call, the service crew came to my house and fix the issue. They did a very good job and was pretty quick.

I went to three different providers before choosing and commiting to KS. Kasselman Solar (most specifically David Kowalsky) took his time to go over design, pros and cons, advantages, tax incentives, etc.. They take the installation from end to end. Including permit and utility company integration. So in other words, you put the roof and they take care of the rest for you. Speaking of roof, did I mention my Roof wasn't new and in it's last licks and they also took care of that too. Definitely pleased with their service and I am already looking at credits with my Electricity Bill. What's not to like?

Kasselman Solar was top notch from start to finish. David Kowalsky, my Pv Design Engineer was a pleasure to work with. He was on top of everything. The quality of the product and the installation is 10 out of 10. My system is 8.3 kw and has cut my utility bill in half.

Kasselman was terrific. Starting with James, PV designer and engineer, all the way to the electricians and workers who installed the system. Professional, courteous, and always there to answer any questions and make sure you were satisfied. Every step is laid out for you and you are always aware of the progress being made. Our Town Code Inspector commented they were the most efficient and professional company he has dealt with. We tried a local solar company. World of difference. Kasselman is the way to go. I very highly recommend them.

I chose Kesselman because it's a local company with a long history delivering home electrical needs. They were fast and efficient in the installing the solar panels and also fulfilled my request to make the wiring as obtusive as possible. I have had the system for 4 years without any problems. I also got $500 rebate for referring a friend, who also installed their system and has not had any problems.

They are knowledgeable about there product. They explained what, when and how things would happen and then made it happen. The crew that did the actual panel installation was one of the most professional and efficient that I have ever worked with. It was a pleasure overall.

The Good - Had panels installed in 2016 and was very happy. Greatly reduced my electric bill, looked great and worked as they should. Loved the individual inverters and the fact the connections ran through the roof rather then down the side of the house. The $32 K price tag was not the cheapest of the companies I got quotes from, but I liked the product and they were reputable. The Bad - When installing the panels I informed the salesman I would need to replace my roof in 5-10 years. He said no problem, happens all the time - for $500 they would remove, store & replace the panels after the roof was installed. When the time came to replace my roof, Kasselman said this should have had that written in my contract and it would actually cost me $2000 to have them removed, store them on my property and replaced. I already had my roofers scheduled, so it was either use Kasselman or forfeit the remainder of my warrantee. The Ugly -Terrible service! first they left all the mounting hardware in the middle of my yard 3 days before Easter. Screws, bolts, wirecaps all thrown around for me to pick up so my dogs could use the yard safely. They would make appointments to reinstall the panels then not show up. It took a letter to the company president to finally get a crew to come and install my panels and then - THEY PUT THEM IN THE WRONG SPOT! We live in a log cabin so aesthetics were a big factor in the panels we chose. when they replaced the panels instead of centering them like they were, they placed them in the far left corner making the house look lop sided. They offered to fix it but the thought of having a few hundred extra holes in my brand new $20K roof talked me out of that. It is obvious to me the profit margin was not great enough for them to take my project seriously.

I was really disappointed with the communication. The person that worked on my project mislead me 1x. That was not necessary. He had me believe we was at one step when we wasn’t. I realized I was mislead because he told me a different story a few days later. Things weren’t being done in a respectable time frame. I had to continuously call send emails in order to get things moving. We were stuck on roof weight load for more then a month. It seemed like things was not being done until I called for the 1st 2months. When I called Thats when I would find out information was needed. That was mind blowing to me. I was in disbelief that a company knows info was needed and would not contact me. I felt like Kassleman did not want my business. I was frustrated I ask to cancel this project twice. Then he would give info and move things along. After my solar was installed I found out my system will never achieve its max output because inverter is oversized. When the inspector came he wrote down I had a 5k system. My paper work says I have a 6k system. Customer should not be given that type poor communication. Especially when the customer is being as helpful as they can be. I got whatever info needed they day I was informed. My excitement I had for going solar was ruined. I’m satisfied now that it’s actually completed. Kassleman solar should communicate better.
