Johnson Solar

Johnson Solar installed our rooftop solar this summer. His quote was equal or better than all the other quotes I received. Clinton was quick to respond whenever I had a question. I'm happy I chose them and would recommend them.

Johnson Solar installed a ~5 kw system at my house. From initial contact to an operating system was less than two weeks. They use top quality panels and inverters. Clinton, the owner, was personally involved from the beginning. He was easy to get in touch with and was happy to answer all my questions (I'm an engineer, so I had lots of them). I highly recommend Johnson Solar.

I went out and got several quotes and Johnson Solar blew them all out of the water. Their customer service is incredible and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get solar.

He was the only contractor to point out ways to save me money instead of paying for things I didn't need. He is also NOT the sales guy! He is the owner/operator. A real benefit of going with a small business, like Johnson Solar, is that you're able to discuss any questions or concerns directly with the owner; no having to jump through hoops to talk to someone who's in a decision-making position, as you would if you went with a large(r) company. My PV permit was approved by the city on 5/3/19; Clinton and Raphael installed my PV system on 5/8/19; inspection by the city was completed on 5/9/19; and SDG&E issued the PTO and I was able to flip my PV system "on" on 5/13/19. Total turnaround from an approved permit to flipping my PV system "on" was 7-business days, I'm happy with that kind of turnaround! My neighbor who actually had his PV system installed, not too long ago by one of the "big name companies", was shocked at how fast the turnaround time was for my system. Thank you, Clinton! We had our solar electricity system installed by Clint Johnson in September 2018. We purchased our mid-century modern home in May 2018. My wife and I were excited to start restoring the “Rockin’ H Ranch” to its 1961 glory. On the month that our SDGE electric bill climber to over $800 (GRRRR!!!) we decided it was time to bring the ranch into the 21st Century by going solar. After the installation of our system, the bill has virtually gone to zero! Clint spent two hours with us during our initial meeting to insure that we fully understood the available options in the solar market. Clint explained the difference between high end name brand panels and the more economical manufacturers, calculating kilowatts of power requirements, battery vs. no battery, etc. Clint provided the options and allowed us to make our decisions, no hype, no up-sell, no pressure, NO PROBLEM. The system was installed by Clint’s team of professionals in a very timely manner and it looks great. In addition to the solar system, Clint provided us with an updated electrical panel at about two thirds the cost of other electricians we received quotes from. Our turn-key system from Clint has proved to be economical and effective. One word of caution; make sure you are ready for action when you put Clint to work. From initial deposit to feeding electricity back to the grid for credit took about two weeks! To say that we are extremely pleased with Johnson Solar would be an understatement.
