IES Texas Solar

IES installed my system in March 2023, and informed Sunlight that the system was good to go, even though Centerpoint had not approved and it needed fixing. IES did not come out to fix the system until 4 months later, in July, but did not inform Sunlight about the system not being approved, and I kept getting charged by Sunlight in the meantime. IES promised to reimburse me 3 months of payments I made while system was not active, but later backtracked on their promise. Bryan Garcia and Brandon Rickett have given me the runaround for months and ignored my calls, texts, voicemails, and emails. The price is cheap, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and they will completely block you out once the system is installed and they get their money. Beware!

We can’t say enough good things about IES Texas Solar! We wanted to take advantage of the solar tax rebate program and spent time getting quotes from many solar companies which resulted in a lot of unclear information. However, Kristen stood out as an extremely patient Solar Consultant immediately and took the time to answer all of our questions about calculation, layout, installation, and explain every step of the quote and process to us. We never felt like we were being persuaded to buy more than we needed, in fact when we suggested adding more panels Kristen explained why it wasn’t beneficial for us based on the exchange rate with our local electric company. Kristen was really honest with us in setting expectations throughout the whole process. The crew who installed the panels were also very friendly and professional. Roy, their electrician, was super knowledgeable and was always available to answer my questions when he was here working. Dan, the manager, also played an important part in our overall customer experience. Aside from the great people at IES, one of the main reasons we chose them over other big names was that they have been around for decades and are Central Texas based, including their customer service team. Overall, we had a great experience with IES and we highly recommend them!

IES did a great job! Sales process was a positive experience. Dan showed me how to save money and still get a great product. What really pleased me about IES is that their installation is better than most. Look around at solar installations in your neighborhood. Is there a bunch of conduit running all over the roof and down the side of the houses? Not with IES. All of that is up in your attic. Looks way better.

Other potential installers tried to add pressure by making up "specials" that would end if I didn't decide on a purchase by the end of the month. Or they'd call every week or so with another little discount here and there. It actually made comparing proposals difficult because the prices kept changing. At times I felt like I was haggling with a car salesperson. IES Texas Solar had a proposal with ONE competitive price and I could take all the time I needed to weigh my options. It was hands down the best price if I also factored in how much others would charge to run the cables through the attic instead of over the roof. IES typically does it for free. The other installers I looked into also had solar panel brand exclusivity or a preferred brand. IES had offerings from multiple brands. There were lower end panels, premium panels, and everything in between. I felt like IES was able to use panels that worked best for my goals. I'm very happy with the way the system turned out.

I highly recommend IES. What I liked most was that they had good reviews, they did not pressure me, they had the best price by far, and they were punctual and professional with the installation. I worked with Dan on the proposals. He patiently explained everything and answered all of my questions. And, he was always available by phone, text, or email to answer questions. I took me a couple months to review other companies and ultimately decide, and he never pressured me at all during that time. The price from IES was far better than the 2 other companies I got proposals from. And even when I directly asked the other two if they could beat that price, they could not. Kate got all of the permits and inspections in order. I barely had to do anything but review some documents. Then Judy took over to set up the installation and final details. A team of 5-6 guys showed up at 8am sharp and were finished before noon. They were very courteous and professional. Two days later the city inspected the system, and the day after the electric company completed the final inspection. All tolled, from signing the proposal to installation and power on, was 2 and a half weeks! Impressive! I was a little nervous to pull the trigger on this decision, but IES made it it so easy.

I requested quotes from 4 companies, IES was the cheapest at under $1.75 per watt after rebates. They also provided the most accurate evaluation of my home/energy usage. Their installation, looking at pictures/videos of other company installations, I believe, is superior as well, by running their metal conduit through the attic instead over the roof. The install took half a day, then 2 weeks to get our energy company (CPS) here. I can also remotely monitor my panels and get alerts if something is malfunctioning. Their loan terms are also the best ones at 2.99% compared to other companies. I would highly recommend IES and suggest everyone to get multiple quotes as well.

Dan and his team did a great job for us. Everything was just as it was quoted, the install team showed up when they said they would and the whole install was done in a day and a half!

IES did a good job of providing all information for me and working on options for a ground mount system in my yard. Kept to schedule and provided a very seamless process. No complaints about the installation or equipment. Kept me informed at every step of the process. Brandon was great to work with.

The approval process and set up was easy and quick, My average bill was cut by more than 90% for most billing months. IES walked through all the steps and expenses that I was to expect. IES gave me a written estimate for me to review and consider before signing any contracts which included a finance company that give the best rates. In normal set up there is no out of pocket fees and the installations schedules IES set up were always met. IES makes it easy for the home owner by contacting the Electric company, the Neighborhood architectural committee, and electrical inspectors. IES explained the system set up and operation and makes it very simple for the home owner to understand and what to expect from the system after all work is complete. The Phone app that can be downloaded makes it a great way to view your new system and live operation and view money saving amounts per day. I would highly recommend IES for anyone looking to install Solar system company that is honest, timely, and willing to take the time to explain any details they may not understand.........................10+ rating from Me. I gave IES a five star rating because the service I received was above and beyond. I'm normally a harsh critic, as I work in the customer service industry as well. From the beginning to final installation of our system, and even after we are convinced that IES is the best solar company to deal with in San Antonio!

IES Solar removed and re-installed my existing solar panels so that my hail-damaged roof could be replaced. They were quick, efficient, technically proficient, and eager to do a much better job than the company that installed the solar panels in the first place. I have recommended them to friends and hope that they have gotten additional business as a result.

Brandon Rickett with IES has been great. He explained the entire system and process prior to installation and has continued to answer any and all questions several months after the install. I'd recommend IES and especially Brandon to anyone looking to go with solar!

Second time buyer. Wanted to add more panels and Brandon Ricketts helped me out a lot. We got the whole process conoleted quickly and with no issues.

Great customer service from the beginning to the end of the installation. All questions have been answered patiently and to our fullest satisfaction. IES went above and beyond with their provided service.

All of my neighbors are jealous of my electricity bill. Had IES install some solar panels and what a difference. They are well worth the investment. Have calculated that in 5 yrs will begin reaping more than the cost of the panels. Also have the computer software to monitor the generated versus purchased power. Not only do the panels lower my electricity bill, but they give me satisfaction of knowing that I am doing something to reduce the consumption of organic-fuel-generated power. IES was most professional and left the premises very clean. After hail storm damage, my insurance company had them take down the panels and replace several damaged ones. Their response was immediate, I did not have to wait. In summary, I recommend IES without reservation and know you will be satisfied with their work. They will not stop until you are satisfied.

I was very satisfied, I had my roof replaced and needed my solar panels removed and replaced. I asked the company who installed them to do the work, they gave my an estimate of 10000 dollars. WOW was I surprised, I called my insurance adjustor and he told me that company was crazy, so I went online and found Brandon and IES Texas Solar. He is a great guy he told me that he could do the same job for much less. He told me that he could squeeze me in and do the job on the weekend, I was very happy that he made it real easy for me. When his team should up they had a super attitude and great teamwork. It is not often but I called him after his team took the panels off and let him know about his team. After my roof was replaced they came and reinstalled the panels for me. Super guy good company. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing solar panels.

After installing the solar within about 2 months we had a major hail storm in the area. IES called the next day with crews ready to inspect and repair the system. He had no damage and did not need them but the fact that they called to check on me made feel that I had made the right decision with who to do the install. Thanks guys for the good work.

IEH Solar was very professional, gave lots of information on what to expect and answered tons of questions that I spammed at them. They handled all rebate paperwork for me and even allowed the rebate to be paid directly from CPS instead of having me pay it up front and seek reimbursement. After initial install I decided I had some more cash and wanted to increase production so I worked with Brandon to add 4 more panels. As before the install was professionally delivered and it look/performs great!

10/16/2015 $66,000 dollars for a 20kw, 5 - 4kw inverters, 16 panels per inverter and 80 solar panels total on 1:12 pitch roof. In the winter months the system is producing 13kw but for a longer period of time during the day than most higher kw systems by design of the installation. During the summer months it will produce even more from longer days and sun angle.

We made the decision and were in Virginia during installation. Came home to find it installed with absolutely no signs of mess. Came by and explained how it works to our satisfaction and we have not had to call back for any information. Works perfectly and requires no maintenance. We are already seeing savings.
