How I ended up with Solar

When I decided to look at Solar for my house I was approached by another company that was very aggressive in their pitch to me. I was on the fence and not sure about going Solar and they insisted I lease the system instead of purchase and I was not very educated at the time about Solar power. Once I started doing my research and learned about the benefits I had a conversation with my Harvest Sales Rep John Brady. Not only is John educated about the benefits he taught me step by step everything I needed to know and learn about Solar and how the way to go was to purchase the system. Without John's help and guidance I would not have had the experience to that has been nothing less than excellent. Everything from sign up to installation to understanding the financials and usage to rebates and reaping the benefits of Solar . It is now over two years and we are more than Happy with everything Harvest has provided.

Harvest Power was great!

Harvest power was incredible for the entire process! From the permit process to the final install. They were extremely neat and professional. I wanted to have my roof replaced before having the panels installed and they also provided this service for me. I couldn’t be more happy with hem. Highly recommended!!

Ongoing great experience

Harvest Power LLC was the installer of my panels from Solaredge Technologies. We are saving money with the electric bill at $12.45 a month, or less. We are a family of 6, and the whole house is electric, including the stove.The panels look fabulous on the whole roof, and the birds love them, too.

Top Company with Exceptional Service

Jeff H. advised us from the very beginning in a very professional and friendly manner. Kept us up to date with every detail, from the planning phase to the contracting phase and eventually with the installation. He sold us exactly the system that we needed after giving us the comparison with everything that's out on the market. Very positive experience. We started discussing the system in mid-September, the contract was signed a few weeks later and the system was installed at the beginning of November. And the system gives us what we need. We had consulted a total of five solar installers in parallel and Jeff made it easy for us to go with Harvest Power. His advice resulted in the most affordable solution besides being highly competitive in quality and performance of all proposed systems. Jeff provided us with an analysis of our residence based on a professional evaluation, all others used Google Project Sunroof (which might be reliable, too) without proper knowledge of that evaluation. To summarize, it was Jeff's merit with his courtesy and professionalism and the professional realization of Harvest Power that we have the best system installed. Harvest Power is in all aspects a step ahead of other installers.

The service management is great. Work is good too.

The people handling my case is victoria. She is great. Give clear information about the solar system and the financial information, the tax return from the government for the solar . And walk us throughout the get permit and installation. Now everything is done. We will enjoy our solar and start saving money. I highly recommend to install the solar system with them.

Fantastic!

We were your typical family, new to the suburbs, fairly naive about the entire solar thing but definitely conscious about the environment and willing to lighten our carbon footprint whenever possible. Having moved from Seattle, where, for whatever reason, solar panels aren't nearly as prevalent (assuming it's the tax breaks in NY vs WA - which is the #1 reason to get them in NY), we started researching companies almost a year to the day we moved here. Without getting into specifics, after filling out a general interest form on the internet and weeding through DOZENS of emails and robo-calls, we narrowed it down to about two or three companies. While there are pros and cons to each company, I would recommend having the salespeople speak to you in layman's terms, easing off on the acronyms and fancy industry specific terminology, which definitely gets confusing. Although initially we "signed" (I use the term loosely) with a larger, national brand (think solar cars), for us it ultimately came down to working with Jeff Homire and our desire to find smaller, local companies. There really was no substitution between a "live" salesperson versus working via Skype with a sales guy in California, at least for us. Jeff was knowledgeable, courteous and true to his word (I forgot about a refund; he did not) and we just got along great. So far, the panels look awesome, the website showing our info is great, and we're really looking forward to the tax break!

Great expierance

Overall great expierance. Victoria was great was the beginning always keeping us informed. Once the work began it was a day and a half of smooth work. After victoria made sure everything went smooth. I would recommend victoria and harvest to anyone.

Truly impressed and satisfied with my purchase and installation of the system. The installation crew was phenomenal - expert installation in one day. Special note is made of Victoria - my project manager - who want above and beyond to make sure that all of my questions were answered promptly and the installation went smoothly. Amazing Service!

I was extremely sceptical about solar panels. So many questions and I didn't know if what i was reading was right. Then I met Victoria from Harvest and all of my unanswered questions were answers. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and understanding. I must have texted her 100 times a day with questions/concerns. I would recommend her and Harvest to anyone, without hesitation. My solar panels are wonderful and my PSEG bill is already almost nothing after 2 months.

We interviewed four solar companies before making the decision to go with Harvest. As soon as Jeff sat down with us, we could tell he was not just another solar salesperson going through a pitch. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Any questions we had were answered immediately via phone call, text or email. Jeff was on point with every estimate: how much we needed to produce, the permit process, the installation and functionality of the system. The installers arrived promptly and everything went up without a hitch. In a week the system is already exceeding my expectations. We cannot be happier with our decision to go solar and most importantly choosing to work with the fantastic team at Harvest Power.

From start to finish Harvest Power was very professional and customer oriented. Valerie was especially helpful in walking us through the entire process step by step. Strong Recommendation on Harvest Power

I invited 6 solar companies (3 regional/national companies and 3 local to Long Island) to provide quotes for my residential solar system. The prices were all competitive (this was for an owner purchased system, not leased and no power purchase agreement) but Harvest Power rose above the others due to a relatively pain free sales process and high up front support (they brought in their install team leader and Master Electrician to answer all my questions, and as an Engineer I had a lot of questions). I have now been running for over 6 months and the solar production has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Harvest Power and will also share what I have learned in my research (and what helped steer me to Harvest): 1) Read the fine print and if you don’t understand what you are seeing, run it by a lawyer! Some of the solar companies I spoke with had particularly onerous terms and conditions (T&Cs). Harvest had very reasonable, homeowner friendly terms (as of this writing). I got the feeling that they support their installs and don’t need to hide behind legal terms that would get them off the hook later if there is a problem. 2) As you read through the reviews on this website and others, look out for the fakes. When a local company is showing 3 times the number of reviews of a national company that does substantially more installs, most of the reviews are 4 to 5 stars, and many of the reviews are clustered around specific points in time, beware. Maybe they have an exceptionally high percentage of happy customers motivated to write reviews, or maybe they have a very aggressive Marketing organization.

Harvest Power installation was great!

We had solar panels installed by Harvest Power. What a wonderful job they did. From start to finish the job went smoothly and quickly. Alicia DiStefano was our sales rep. She was on target at all times. Any questions we had, which were few, you were able to get I touch with her quickly and she answered them just as fast. Our electric bill is non existing. Very happy with a job well done.

I wish I could do it again!

I have had my array now for a year and half and it is operating wonderfully (installed June 2015! The process from start to finish was smooth, simple and under a "no pressure" scenario. Jeff is a great salesman and always available for quick questions and even will stop by for a one-on-one visit. I also love the SolarEdge monitoring. Many friends have signed up since with them based on my experience. If I ever move to a new house calling Harvest Power will be one of the first phone calls to get the new house set up right away. There is literally no reason to not get solar! As a side note I want to mention how clean, quick, and quiet the installation was. I was home with my 10 month old at the time in our ranch house and she was able to sleep right through it.

Consumer Installation

My husband and I had Harvest Power Solar install panels on our house two and a half years ago. Jeffrey Homire was our contact with the company. He was terrific. Not only was he punctual and personable he was very informative. We did not know much about solar. Jeffrey took us through all of the steps and the pros and cons to purchasing or leasing. On the day of installation, the crew were efficient, on time and really great to work with. I have recommended them to any one that will listen to me.

Great company!!

This has been the single greatest investment I've made in my home. Jeff and his team were professional and the installation went smooth. The panels have exceeded their anticipated performance. I would highly recommend Harvest Power if you are thinking about going solar. You will not be disappointed !! Nothing beats a $13 electric bill in July !!

I was, and still am, so very pleased with my choice to 'go with' Harvest Power. The sales staff was knowledgeable, and not the slightest bit 'pushy'. I really appreciated that, as this was a large investment for me and my family. Lenny Peters and his crew took the time to answer my questions, however small and silly they may have been. They educated me about solar panels, specifications, and usage in the process, and I am completely satisfied and confident I made the right choice with Harvest Power. Would def recommend them to anyone who is looking to go solar. Many companies offer similar products for similar prices (actually HP was a bit lower), but it was the personal touch, and comfort factor, that was ONLY present at Harvest. That was my deciding factor.
