I could not be happier with my experience working with Harvest Power. After interviewing several companies about installing solar panels , Harvest Power was far and away the most professional and made me feel the most secure in making the leap. Once we got started, I was extremely pleased to find out that their professionalism was more than a sales ploy. They made the process incredibly simple and, before I knew it, the system was installed and I was saving money. It was really that easy. After a few years, I have continues to save money every month without having to do anything at all. I tell everyone that this decision is a "no-brainer" for anyone who likes to save money. My only regret is not calling sooner!

Solar panel Instalation

I was (and still am) very satisfied with my whole experience with Harvest Solar. When I bought my house, I met with 3 solar companies. Jeff from Harvest was the most professional, knowledgeable person we met with. I learned so much from him. He also showed and and returned calls when he said he would and on time. The day of the job he was here quite a few times making sure everything was going the way we discussed. The work was extremely clean and you couldn’t even tell we had work done because everything was so neat. My panels were up and running on the day of install. When the town came to do the inspection, they told me jobs done by Harvest were their favorite because they never have any problems with them. One last thing- Jeff and his counterparts at Harvest are the only contractors that I have hired (and there have been many) that still return my calls promptly after the job was complete and he was paid in full. Great company all around. I highly recommend them.

New Solar Installation Brookhaven Hamlet

Started the process under Majestic Solar but it was acquired by Harvest Power by the time of installation. The home is in the historic district of Brookhaven Hamlet and required additional reviews. Company took care of the permits. Installed in one day. 1st year production exceeded estimates. Other companies wanted to install more panels. The extra price, even with tax credits, would take many years to pay for and is not worth it.

Seamless Service and Installation

From our first contact to completion we were given excellent information and each employee was professional and courteous. Just completed a 2 day installation and looking forward to saying goodbye to electric bills. Must mention Joe Maehr our sales person who was ever available. Phil and the installation crew did a great job. Would highly recommend this company.

Residential Solar Panels

The decision for going solar was an easy one as was the decision to own them rather then lease. I did some research and knew the exact panels I wanted along with the optimizers. I called 3 companies in, Harvest Power being one of them, and listened to everyone’s sales pitch and of course the final price. Harvest was not the lowest bidder but I was very upfront with them and gladly showed them what the other companies were offering. Harvest was very reasonable and worked with me and was able to match what the other companies were offering, which I cannot say for the others. Harvest explained all the paperwork and made it real easy with the loan through PSEG and the numbers were exactly what they said they would be in the end. There was no surprise, unexpected expense. Panels have been producing ever since and I did have one issue with one of my optimizer that Harvest was able to resolve without any cost to me. I’ve recommend them to my brother and a few friends and they’ve all went with Harvest.....and once you have them you’ll say what everyone else says, “wish I would’ve done it sooner”.

My experience with Harvest Power, has been excellent, from beginning to end. The sales people were thorough, polite and very helpful. They were knowledgeable and clearly explained the cost benefits. The crew that installed the panels, worked constantly, they were polite, skilled, did an excellent job and cleaned up after the job was completed. The control panel, in the basement, looks great, is easily accessible and well designed. Our unit was installed in Nov 2015. Since that time, our electric bill has been between $10 - $11 per month. We have consistently produced more power than we consume, so there has been an energy credit, every year. The Solar Edge App, allows me to monitor my energy production daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. I am very satisfied with the job and very happy that we used Harvest Power.

HARVEST POWER TESTIMONIAL It all started about two years ago when my wife’s friends on Staten Island decided to go solar. They told her how it was going to reduce their energy bill. My wife is always looking to save money. I like to save money too, but I don’t like the hassle of changing systems or the risk of investing in new technology. I said “Let’s wait and see if they save any real money, ” and then I hoped she would forget about it. She did, for about a year and then brought it up again saying her friends in Staten Island were now only paying about $ 20 a month on their electric bill. Now my wife wanted me to research solar companies on the web. Although I hate research, especially about anything related to science or technology, I sent away for information and soon had sales reps from different solar companies calling us. We had visits from representatives from 4 or 5 companies. That’s how we met the people from Harvest Power The first representative we met from Harvest Power was Michael Young Cho. He told us about the history of the company. We liked the fact that in addition to ten years of experience installing solar panels, they were part of a local, family owned construction company (Friendly Construction) which has been around since 1972. We didn’t sign with Harvest Power right away. There were more presentations from other companies scheduled, but, in the end, we decided to go with Harvest Power. For one thing, they offered the most attractive price by rather significant margins. We met again with Mike Cho and his associate David Whelan. They went over the proposals with us and answered all of our questions. My wife and I are not the easiest prospects/clients to deal with. We had a lot of questions and for every answer they gave us, my wife came up with more questions. A lot of emails went back and forth, and there were revisions in the proposal. Through it all, David and Michael were very patient and managed to retain a sense of humor. They never tried to push us or pressure us into signing. Once we signed, they had their people check out our house to make sure if the original proposal would work for us. We liked knowing that we were dealing with one company. The entire installation process was handled in-house by the professionals on The Harvest Power staff. They designed the system and processed the permits. They made whatever revisions necessary and explained them to us for our approval. We want to compliment the team that did the actual installation. My wife works from home, and they were very considerate to do the job as quietly and unobtrusively as possible. They got everything up quickly, neatly and efficiently. Through it all, Dave Whelan kept popping in and out, to make sure everything was going smoothly, and to show us how to set up the app to monitor the effectiveness of the system. We can’t tell you what our savings on the electric bill have been yet, as our panels were installed less than a week ago, but we look forward to reporting the savings over the next few months. In conclusion, we would highly recommend Harvest Power to our friends. They know what they’re doing and are a nice bunch of people to do business with.

We were very happy with the contact and installation. They were here when they said they would be and installed the panels quickly and were gone. They did have to come to update the inverter program but that was done quickly. We just monitor our solar app and if we see any issues we contact them so they will monitor further. Only issue we had was with town permits due to miscommunication between salesperson and us and that cost me extra money for permit renewal.

Amazing Experience! The Perfect Company for your Solar Needs!!!

My Experience with Harvest Power My experience with HarvestPower couldn't have been any easier. I had gotten a few different quotes from other solar companies but none of the companies gave me a good vibe like Harvest Power did. The first time my Harvest Power rep came to the house, he told me how it was going to work. He said they would first take a look at my electrical usage for the year, take a look at my house's location to see house the sun would hit my house during year, and then they would come back with their proposal. Before the rep left, he also explained to me exactly how the process of financing the panels was going to work. A week or two later my rep came back to discuss Harvest Power's proposal. They proposed I needed a 11,100 watt system composed of 37 LG Mono XNeoN 300w panels. The proposal was very easy to read and contained a picture of how the system was going to be placed on my house, and a detailed information page that included exactly how the money was going to be paid. I was very skeptical because the proposal said that the only money I had to pay was a $500 deposit. That was too easy. And...I would get that deposit back a few weeks after the panels were installed. My rep explained to me all the details about the actual system contained in the proposal including how much energy they should produce, the maintenance, and the warranty. He also said that once I signed on the dotted line I would have to DO NOTHING!! Permits, contacting PSEGLI, and any other paperwork for the bridge loan, NYSERDA, or Federal/State rebates would be handled by Harvest Power. My rep also explained to me all the details in the proposal involved with the financing of the panels TO THE PENNY!!! When I went to my accountant to get my taxes done, I bought the number he told me I was getting back on my taxes and IT WAS EXACT TO THE PENNY!!! Once Harvest went through my town and got the permits squared away, they contacted my with the date of installation. When that day finally arrived, it was perfect day. It was hot and the sun was shining bright. I was very excited. The installation took a few hours. The installation crew was great! The guys didn't mind answering any of my questions and it got to the point where they were actually explaining to me what they were doing. Then the best part of the entire process came. When they were done and were ready to flip the switch to turn on the panels the foreman asked me if I was ready to see how the panels worked. He told me to watch my electrical meter. This is something I will never forget. The meter read 1776. I stared at the meter for about two or three minutes and suddenly the meter read 1775. Within minutes the panels had already produce enough to save me money on my electric bill!! HOW AWESOME WAS THAT! I don't know if this entire process could have been anymore perfect! Everything that Harvest explained to me happened exactly that way. I highly recommend using Harvest Power for all your solar needs!!

Best thing I've done for my home.

I could not have had an easier time from start to finish getting solar power for my home. The service was fantastic, the process was fast and easy. Jeff was a source of information and went the extra mile. Nothing couold have been done better. I even left the installers at my house and went to work: they locked up and cleaned up when the finished. Great company. Great results. Dont just get solar: Get solar done right.

So Happy we went Solar!

After finally convincing the wife of all the benefits of going solar, we sat down with multiple companies to see what was available. Harvest Power had the most knowledgeable reps and exceeded expectations on helping design the right system for us because the wife didn’t want panels on the front roof of the house for aesthetic reasons. We still have a small electric bill in the summer months (ac and pool), but they provided drawings of different arrangements on how to minimize our electric bill whereas other companies didn’t want to provide a smaller (85%) system and seemed pushy to install panels on the front roof. Install was around 6 hours and we’ve been saving money every day since that afternoon in December 2015. Best of all, it was provided at no initial cost and a low interest finance plan through NYSERDA way cheaper than the electric bills of the past! One of our best decisions!!!

How I ended up with Solar

When I decided to look at Solar for my house I was approached by another company that was very aggressive in their pitch to me. I was on the fence and not sure about going Solar and they insisted I lease the system instead of purchase and I was not very educated at the time about Solar power. Once I started doing my research and learned about the benefits I had a conversation with my Harvest Sales Rep John Brady. Not only is John educated about the benefits he taught me step by step everything I needed to know and learn about Solar and how the way to go was to purchase the system. Without John's help and guidance I would not have had the experience to that has been nothing less than excellent. Everything from sign up to installation to understanding the financials and usage to rebates and reaping the benefits of Solar . It is now over two years and we are more than Happy with everything Harvest has provided.

Harvest power was incredible for the entire process! From the permit process to the final install. They were extremely neat and professional. I wanted to have my roof replaced before having the panels installed and they also provided this service for me. I couldn’t be more happy with hem. Highly recommended!!

Ongoing great experience

Harvest Power LLC was the installer of my panels from Solaredge Technologies. We are saving money with the electric bill at $12.45 a month, or less. We are a family of 6, and the whole house is electric, including the stove.The panels look fabulous on the whole roof, and the birds love them, too.

Top Company with Exceptional Service

Jeff H. advised us from the very beginning in a very professional and friendly manner. Kept us up to date with every detail, from the planning phase to the contracting phase and eventually with the installation. He sold us exactly the system that we needed after giving us the comparison with everything that's out on the market. Very positive experience. We started discussing the system in mid-September, the contract was signed a few weeks later and the system was installed at the beginning of November. And the system gives us what we need. We had consulted a total of five solar installers in parallel and Jeff made it easy for us to go with Harvest Power. His advice resulted in the most affordable solution besides being highly competitive in quality and performance of all proposed systems. Jeff provided us with an analysis of our residence based on a professional evaluation, all others used Google Project Sunroof (which might be reliable, too) without proper knowledge of that evaluation. To summarize, it was Jeff's merit with his courtesy and professionalism and the professional realization of Harvest Power that we have the best system installed. Harvest Power is in all aspects a step ahead of other installers.

The service management is great. Work is good too.

The people handling my case is victoria. She is great. Give clear information about the solar system and the financial information, the tax return from the government for the solar . And walk us throughout the get permit and installation. Now everything is done. We will enjoy our solar and start saving money. I highly recommend to install the solar system with them.

Fantastic!

We were your typical family, new to the suburbs, fairly naive about the entire solar thing but definitely conscious about the environment and willing to lighten our carbon footprint whenever possible. Having moved from Seattle, where, for whatever reason, solar panels aren't nearly as prevalent (assuming it's the tax breaks in NY vs WA - which is the #1 reason to get them in NY), we started researching companies almost a year to the day we moved here. Without getting into specifics, after filling out a general interest form on the internet and weeding through DOZENS of emails and robo-calls, we narrowed it down to about two or three companies. While there are pros and cons to each company, I would recommend having the salespeople speak to you in layman's terms, easing off on the acronyms and fancy industry specific terminology, which definitely gets confusing. Although initially we "signed" (I use the term loosely) with a larger, national brand (think solar cars), for us it ultimately came down to working with Jeff Homire and our desire to find smaller, local companies. There really was no substitution between a "live" salesperson versus working via Skype with a sales guy in California, at least for us. Jeff was knowledgeable, courteous and true to his word (I forgot about a refund; he did not) and we just got along great. So far, the panels look awesome, the website showing our info is great, and we're really looking forward to the tax break!

Great expierance

Overall great expierance. Victoria was great was the beginning always keeping us informed. Once the work began it was a day and a half of smooth work. After victoria made sure everything went smooth. I would recommend victoria and harvest to anyone.

Amazing Service!

I was extremely sceptical about solar panels. So many questions and I didn't know if what i was reading was right. Then I met Victoria from Harvest and all of my unanswered questions were answers. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and understanding. I must have texted her 100 times a day with questions/concerns. I would recommend her and Harvest to anyone, without hesitation. My solar panels are wonderful and my PSEG bill is already almost nothing after 2 months.
