Brilliant!

I have had a very positive experience with Harvest Power. I had gone to other similar companies but Harvest Power offered me the best program. Many of the other companies were headstrong about having me lease, but Harvest emphasized buying the product. And the results of me going with Harvest Power are brilliant. If I had to rate between 1 and 10, I would say 10+, and I am not one to give that kind of rating!

Our experience with Harvest Power was nothing less than exceptional. From the initial consultation to the finishing touches of the install, Harvest Power was definitely the right choice, and we are completely satisfied with our new solar panel system. We initially chose Harvest Power because their customer service and technical reps were friendly and courteous, and they entertained all of our technical questions regarding the panels, the inverter, and the roof layout. The reps presented many different options (makes/models) of panels, and guided us to the right decision for our panels (type as well as amount), as well as our budget. We wanted to 'go solar' to do our part for the environment, but mainly to reduce our electric bills significantly. Mission accomplished! Our bills have been reduced over 90%, and we even love how the panels look on our roof. We often get compliments on our solar panels, not for how they look but how inconspicuous they actually are on our roof! Love my Tesla and Solar

Was a bit hesitant with Solar but when I got my Tesla ( all electric car ) that was the only way to go ! Very satisfied with Harvest Power installers - they did on time within one day - very clean and professional job. I got even more happy when it came to the TAX time - sweet $ 20k tax credit combined from Fed and State covered almost halve installation costs !!! Even charging the Tesla, and not optimal exposure of my roof - facing East - I pay less than 1/3 to the Electric Company. Go for it ! Sooner or later you will end up with electric car !!!

Choosing a solar company

We did our homework before finally choosing HARVEST POWER to install our solar system. Everything went smoothly and Harvest Power mechanics work on my home like it was there own ( very neat and courteous) Our salesmen Dan was truthful from the start to the completion of the project . Other companies wont take the time to hide all the wires inside the attic as Harvest Power did on our install. A friend of our's installed solar panels from Harvest Power LLC, a few years ago. After discussing with them the savings they received on their electric bill, and the hearing about the excellent job they did in the installation, we decided to meet with Harvest as well. Their representative was both knowledgable and informative, explaining in clear precise terms the steps involved and the savings, from both the utility bill and the federal and state refunds. In addition, since Harvest also repairs/installs roofs, and we had a few leaks, we decided to have them install a new roof as well. Upon signing the contract, Harvest installed both the system as well as a new roof and even handled the installation a few weeks earlier than the original plan - which was great since we started receiving free electricity sooner. Harvest Power delivered exactly what they promised, a hassle free, on-time installation, and they cleaned up every nail removed from the old roof. Overall they did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to potential solar buyers.

My salesman John was great , he had all the answers to my questions. He handled all the paper work from permits to tax refund, all I had to do was sign my name. The install went smoothly. They were very professional and showed up on time. I haven’t had an electric bill in 2 yrs. In fact PSEG sent me a refund. I highly recommend Harvest!

Harvest Power

I called numerous solar power companies before I decided on harvest power. I met with Harvey Gluckin and he was professional and explained the various benefits on solar power. Harvey Gluckin made the process simple and when I had any questions he would return my calls promptly. The installers did a great job, no mess and the job was completed within a day. After the installation, I immediately notice a large savings on my utility bill. I could not be happier.

I was first told about solar by one of my coworkers. He told me about all of the pros, and the only con I could think of was maybe I would not like the appearance the panels on my roof. After expressing interest to my coworker, a representative from Harvest came to my house to assess how well I could harness the power of the sun. Turns out, my south facing house was ideal. I had to put a small down payment (500) to show my interest and after that it was smooth sailing and I received that down payment back as soon as the panel were installed. Once the panels were installed, my meter was immediately working in reverse. LIPA had come before the panels were put up, so I knew once they were in, I would be working backwards from 00000. This was in 2015 and I have yet to pay for more than the line charge and my monthly panel payment, both of which together (~$100) is less then I would be paying to PSE&G. And on a positive note, they look pretty good!

Professional and Easy

I could not be happier with my experience working with Harvest Power. After interviewing several companies about installing solar panels , Harvest Power was far and away the most professional and made me feel the most secure in making the leap. Once we got started, I was extremely pleased to find out that their professionalism was more than a sales ploy. They made the process incredibly simple and, before I knew it, the system was installed and I was saving money. It was really that easy. After a few years, I have continues to save money every month without having to do anything at all. I tell everyone that this decision is a "no-brainer" for anyone who likes to save money. My only regret is not calling sooner!

Solar panel Instalation

I was (and still am) very satisfied with my whole experience with Harvest Solar. When I bought my house, I met with 3 solar companies. Jeff from Harvest was the most professional, knowledgeable person we met with. I learned so much from him. He also showed and and returned calls when he said he would and on time. The day of the job he was here quite a few times making sure everything was going the way we discussed. The work was extremely clean and you couldn’t even tell we had work done because everything was so neat. My panels were up and running on the day of install. When the town came to do the inspection, they told me jobs done by Harvest were their favorite because they never have any problems with them. One last thing- Jeff and his counterparts at Harvest are the only contractors that I have hired (and there have been many) that still return my calls promptly after the job was complete and he was paid in full. Great company all around. I highly recommend them.

New Solar Installation Brookhaven Hamlet

Started the process under Majestic Solar but it was acquired by Harvest Power by the time of installation. The home is in the historic district of Brookhaven Hamlet and required additional reviews. Company took care of the permits. Installed in one day. 1st year production exceeded estimates. Other companies wanted to install more panels. The extra price, even with tax credits, would take many years to pay for and is not worth it.

Seamless Service and Installation

From our first contact to completion we were given excellent information and each employee was professional and courteous. Just completed a 2 day installation and looking forward to saying goodbye to electric bills. Must mention Joe Maehr our sales person who was ever available. Phil and the installation crew did a great job. Would highly recommend this company.

Residential Solar Panels

The decision for going solar was an easy one as was the decision to own them rather then lease. I did some research and knew the exact panels I wanted along with the optimizers. I called 3 companies in, Harvest Power being one of them, and listened to everyone’s sales pitch and of course the final price. Harvest was not the lowest bidder but I was very upfront with them and gladly showed them what the other companies were offering. Harvest was very reasonable and worked with me and was able to match what the other companies were offering, which I cannot say for the others. Harvest explained all the paperwork and made it real easy with the loan through PSEG and the numbers were exactly what they said they would be in the end. There was no surprise, unexpected expense. Panels have been producing ever since and I did have one issue with one of my optimizer that Harvest was able to resolve without any cost to me. I’ve recommend them to my brother and a few friends and they’ve all went with Harvest.....and once you have them you’ll say what everyone else says, “wish I would’ve done it sooner”.

My experience with Harvest Power, has been excellent, from beginning to end. The sales people were thorough, polite and very helpful. They were knowledgeable and clearly explained the cost benefits. The crew that installed the panels, worked constantly, they were polite, skilled, did an excellent job and cleaned up after the job was completed. The control panel, in the basement, looks great, is easily accessible and well designed. Our unit was installed in Nov 2015. Since that time, our electric bill has been between $10 - $11 per month. We have consistently produced more power than we consume, so there has been an energy credit, every year. The Solar Edge App, allows me to monitor my energy production daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. I am very satisfied with the job and very happy that we used Harvest Power.

HARVEST POWER TESTIMONIAL It all started about two years ago when my wife’s friends on Staten Island decided to go solar. They told her how it was going to reduce their energy bill. My wife is always looking to save money. I like to save money too, but I don’t like the hassle of changing systems or the risk of investing in new technology. I said “Let’s wait and see if they save any real money, ” and then I hoped she would forget about it. She did, for about a year and then brought it up again saying her friends in Staten Island were now only paying about $ 20 a month on their electric bill. Now my wife wanted me to research solar companies on the web. Although I hate research, especially about anything related to science or technology, I sent away for information and soon had sales reps from different solar companies calling us. We had visits from representatives from 4 or 5 companies. That’s how we met the people from Harvest Power The first representative we met from Harvest Power was Michael Young Cho. He told us about the history of the company. We liked the fact that in addition to ten years of experience installing solar panels, they were part of a local, family owned construction company (Friendly Construction) which has been around since 1972. We didn’t sign with Harvest Power right away. There were more presentations from other companies scheduled, but, in the end, we decided to go with Harvest Power. For one thing, they offered the most attractive price by rather significant margins. We met again with Mike Cho and his associate David Whelan. They went over the proposals with us and answered all of our questions. My wife and I are not the easiest prospects/clients to deal with. We had a lot of questions and for every answer they gave us, my wife came up with more questions. A lot of emails went back and forth, and there were revisions in the proposal. Through it all, David and Michael were very patient and managed to retain a sense of humor. They never tried to push us or pressure us into signing. Once we signed, they had their people check out our house to make sure if the original proposal would work for us. We liked knowing that we were dealing with one company. The entire installation process was handled in-house by the professionals on The Harvest Power staff. They designed the system and processed the permits. They made whatever revisions necessary and explained them to us for our approval. We want to compliment the team that did the actual installation. My wife works from home, and they were very considerate to do the job as quietly and unobtrusively as possible. They got everything up quickly, neatly and efficiently. Through it all, Dave Whelan kept popping in and out, to make sure everything was going smoothly, and to show us how to set up the app to monitor the effectiveness of the system. We can’t tell you what our savings on the electric bill have been yet, as our panels were installed less than a week ago, but we look forward to reporting the savings over the next few months. In conclusion, we would highly recommend Harvest Power to our friends. They know what they’re doing and are a nice bunch of people to do business with.

We were very happy with the contact and installation. They were here when they said they would be and installed the panels quickly and were gone. They did have to come to update the inverter program but that was done quickly. We just monitor our solar app and if we see any issues we contact them so they will monitor further. Only issue we had was with town permits due to miscommunication between salesperson and us and that cost me extra money for permit renewal.

Amazing Experience! The Perfect Company for your Solar Needs!!!

My Experience with Harvest Power My experience with HarvestPower couldn't have been any easier. I had gotten a few different quotes from other solar companies but none of the companies gave me a good vibe like Harvest Power did. The first time my Harvest Power rep came to the house, he told me how it was going to work. He said they would first take a look at my electrical usage for the year, take a look at my house's location to see house the sun would hit my house during year, and then they would come back with their proposal. Before the rep left, he also explained to me exactly how the process of financing the panels was going to work. A week or two later my rep came back to discuss Harvest Power's proposal. They proposed I needed a 11,100 watt system composed of 37 LG Mono XNeoN 300w panels. The proposal was very easy to read and contained a picture of how the system was going to be placed on my house, and a detailed information page that included exactly how the money was going to be paid. I was very skeptical because the proposal said that the only money I had to pay was a $500 deposit. That was too easy. And...I would get that deposit back a few weeks after the panels were installed. My rep explained to me all the details about the actual system contained in the proposal including how much energy they should produce, the maintenance, and the warranty. He also said that once I signed on the dotted line I would have to DO NOTHING!! Permits, contacting PSEGLI, and any other paperwork for the bridge loan, NYSERDA, or Federal/State rebates would be handled by Harvest Power. My rep also explained to me all the details in the proposal involved with the financing of the panels TO THE PENNY!!! When I went to my accountant to get my taxes done, I bought the number he told me I was getting back on my taxes and IT WAS EXACT TO THE PENNY!!! Once Harvest went through my town and got the permits squared away, they contacted my with the date of installation. When that day finally arrived, it was perfect day. It was hot and the sun was shining bright. I was very excited. The installation took a few hours. The installation crew was great! The guys didn't mind answering any of my questions and it got to the point where they were actually explaining to me what they were doing. Then the best part of the entire process came. When they were done and were ready to flip the switch to turn on the panels the foreman asked me if I was ready to see how the panels worked. He told me to watch my electrical meter. This is something I will never forget. The meter read 1776. I stared at the meter for about two or three minutes and suddenly the meter read 1775. Within minutes the panels had already produce enough to save me money on my electric bill!! HOW AWESOME WAS THAT! I don't know if this entire process could have been anymore perfect! Everything that Harvest explained to me happened exactly that way. I highly recommend using Harvest Power for all your solar needs!!

Best thing I've done for my home.

I could not have had an easier time from start to finish getting solar power for my home. The service was fantastic, the process was fast and easy. Jeff was a source of information and went the extra mile. Nothing couold have been done better. I even left the installers at my house and went to work: they locked up and cleaned up when the finished. Great company. Great results. Dont just get solar: Get solar done right.

So Happy we went Solar!

After finally convincing the wife of all the benefits of going solar, we sat down with multiple companies to see what was available. Harvest Power had the most knowledgeable reps and exceeded expectations on helping design the right system for us because the wife didn’t want panels on the front roof of the house for aesthetic reasons. We still have a small electric bill in the summer months (ac and pool), but they provided drawings of different arrangements on how to minimize our electric bill whereas other companies didn’t want to provide a smaller (85%) system and seemed pushy to install panels on the front roof. Install was around 6 hours and we’ve been saving money every day since that afternoon in December 2015. Best of all, it was provided at no initial cost and a low interest finance plan through NYSERDA way cheaper than the electric bills of the past! One of our best decisions!!!
