Harvest Power installed a new roof and solar panel system on our home in August 2021. They did an awesome job on the install, and made sure my wife and I were both pleased with the work. Our sales rep Jeff Homire was extremely helpful, he was knowledgeable on the product and assisted my wife and I to make the best decision for our home. He kept in contact with us through each step of the process, answered any and all questions thoroughly and honestly. I would strongly recommend both Harvest Power and Jeff Homire for anyone looking to go solar.

Smart choice to go green.

Was referred to by a friend and spoke Salesman John Merkent. We agreed on a time to meet to discuss the benefits of an installation of a solar system. At the meeting, in a clear and simple manner, he explained what the company would be able to produce in energy, the financing options if needed and the length of time needed for installation. We agreed on the project, signed a contract and a date was set for installation. The Harvest Power Staff filed all necessary permits for us only requiring a signature from us, here and there, to keep the ball rolling. On the installation days (most systems are installed in one day and we needed two for we had a little extra work done) the Crew showed up on time and were respectful in the behavior to us and our property. They installed our system using some of latest, high quality products and left the property each day as they found it, totally clean. In the end we highly recommend Harvest Power LLC for whenever we had a question, we were able to get a hold of someone before and after the project was finished, Salesman John Merkent even gave us his personal cell number to ensure this and eventhough this is business they treated us like family.

This company does not keep their promise.

Back to 2018 when i first met the sales person to discuss the solar system I asked if my roof size will cover my electric bill 100% she said absolutely and I told her that more than 3 companies told me the maximum you will get 80% , so i was promised that I will get around 11,000 kw /year , First the system is not covering my consumption which is 13,000kw/year at least. Second problem even the promised production in the agreement is not reachable yearly, what i get maximum is 10,000kw/yearly. To conclude this i was overpromised for my system and i paid for something I didn't get, when I called them more than 30 or 40 times with no response from the sales , company , customer service or even managers, At the end of many calls they told me higher position title will call you, I got a call in January 19th so he promised me that he will contact the engineering team and get back to me in the next 48 hours but herewith affter couple month I still didn't hear from him and he didn't even response for many texts I sent . Now I can tell this is the worst Idea I did and worst company I dealt with as after the sales is done no respect or responses at all . I'm ending up paying for the electric bill and for the solar as well . I'll see what is the  next legal action to take . Really bad experience. Then after several attempts they came back to me offering additional panels with discount as a new customer I just told them I need to fill my contract then the sales manager told me make it valuable for both of us we can give you additional panels and we can cover some of them. First offer 10 panels for $5500 and I agreed then after 20 days of calls finally he called me saying it was a mistake and I can't do it , Second offer $5500 for 7 panels he offered and I said 8 panels then he denied it. 3rd offer 5 panels $5500 and $6500 for installments , themes like they deal with me as a new customer not even try to find a solution to resolve there mistaken. They are really ridiculous and wasting of time . I'll hire attorney to find out my right. I need to get more panels to reach the production I promised and cover my electric bill as they promised me in the beginning of the deal at least 13000kw/year

Great experience

John Merkent is wonderful, he didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need, he worked with me e wry step of the way. He knows his business. Even After the job was completed John regularly checks in to make sure everything is good. John was so great I referred him to my brother who also got his solar through John. He is simply the best.

It was a great experience working with John he gave us all the information we needed. We are very happy John knock on our door. Great Company

I really enjoyed working with Harvest Power. My husband and I received our solar panels in September of this year. We worked mainly with John Merkent. The entire process was explained to us and it was a relatively quick process considering it was during COVID. John is extremely nice and communicative. I also had the pleasure of dropping into the office to pick up a folder and get some additional information and Lily Cipolla was very helpful and kind. I also worked with Deanna Lacara for finances and she was great. All around, the staff at Harvest Power were great and we are very happy with our solar panels and new roof.

Solar Panels

We had Solar Panels installed 3-4 yrs ago, it's the best thing we did.Harvest Power is a very experienced company when it comes to solar panels. They installed the perfect amount of Panels to get me the most solar. My PSEG bill is about 5% of what is was previously, around <$15. John Merkent our salesperson is educated, honest, and well knowledge in what he sells. John is still here for us if we have any questions.

Good To Work With & Very Flexible

I had a great experience with Harvest Power LLC. I had a single Tesla Power Wall and a 8.5 KW system put in place on a two house property in Blue Point, NY. Harvest Power linked the panels on my main house and cottage so that they could both work with the Tesla Power Wall for a micro-grid system, if the power ever goes out. The system looks nice on the roof, the installers were polite/safe/efficient, and the Harvest Power sales rep Kevin Goldstein was extremely professional and always responsive. When I was choosing who to go with in April 2020, Harvest Power was the only company that continually stayed in contact and responded to all of my text messages and emails. During the system design and installation, I really felt heard and that they valued my opinion in the process. One frustration was that the lead time due to various permitting issues took almost a year. In fact, I am still waiting for my Tesla Power Wall to be installed due to a back order on the batteries since they have become extremely popular. The delays of course were not necessarily Harvest Power's fault, but it was something that colored the process and should be accounted for in anyone's expectations. I would definitely recommend Harvest Power to others based on my experience.

Worked with Kevin at Harvest. Was very responsive to any questions regarding the design and project overall. Kept on top of everything and I am happy with panels. Easy to work with.

Pandemic Power

During the middle of the pandemic we decided to take the leap into solar. We dealt with Kevin at Harvest Power totally by phone/text/email. This was an easy task. Kevin was able to walk me through all the steps with ease. We had a couple of little stops along the way (loan and cost of system didn't match, permit was denied) but the team at Harvest made it right throughout. The system went online in the beginning of September, so we have not been able to bank credits yet. That being said my electric bill plus the solar cost is still lower than what I was paying in electric alone. All in all good experience.

Absolutely amazing!

We used Harvest Power and their salesman Kevin Goldstein just hit it out of the park. He was knowledgeable and represented the information in a way that made it an easy decision to move forward. He was upfront, honest and just let us make our own decision. The process was effortless and the rebates from NY state and the Federal Government made this a no brainer. Great decision

I was solicited from several solar companies several years ago when I was contemplating my decision to go solar. Harvest Solar was one of the four companies to visit my home. They sent John Merkent as their sales rep and he was awesome. My wife and I took an overall liking to him that day. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the entire process and the benefits of going solar. They offered me a superior product to help me make an educated decision. I compared their product to the other companies I was contacted by, and the choice was clear. Harvest Power was the obvious choice, and I am completely satisfied all around. I had contemplated going solar for years, and when I finally decided to go through with going solar, I couldn't have made a better choice than going with Harvest. Sales Rep John Merkent was great. He oversaw the project from start to finish, thorough and professional. We had new shingles and solar panels installed and upgraded the electrical panel and John made it happen, seamless and timely. We have since recommended John Merkent and Harvest Power LLC to friends and family and will continue to do so.
