Outstanding communications through the entire process. Everyone I dealt with was a complete professional. Work is stellar. I had reached out to Gold Path and two other companies in October about getting installed before the first of the year to get my tax credit, and was told by everyone that they were booked through the end of the year. Gold Path was my first choice. The reached out to me a few days after our initial conversation, when I was told they could squeeze my installation in before the first of the year. There were a couple of small delays due to Ohio weather in December, but everything was installed by the day after Christmas. I will try to update this post with production results after AEP does their final inspection, which should be in the next couple of weeks.

While the initial quotation process was professional and relatively painless, their price match guarantee is mostly just marketing. I got four other solar quotes using very similar equipment as Gold Path. I even had a friend of a friend who works as an engineer in the solar biz take a look at the quotes. He ball parked them as equivalent. After a lot of leg work with other quotes, I asked Gold Path to match or beat a competing quote. After two weeks and multiple attempts of follow up (by phone, email and text) the Gold Path sales rep finally replied with a "we don't think their system is the equivalent of ours" but we will offer you $1,000 off our previous quote.

After much research, we decided to use Gold Path as our Solar delivery partner and we couldn’t be happier. Gold Path is owned and operated by Jake Trubiano. From inception to final inspection and beyond, Jake was actively engaged. We spoke directly with Jake on numerous occasions. Gold Path Solar is awesome! I’ve wanted to do solar for years, always it seemed overpriced, or not worth the trouble or scammy. But EnergySage (another great company) listed them best bang for the buck for my area and Goldpath’s near perfect reviews compelled me to call. I have gotten quotes from pretty much every solar company servicing Ohio. No one was more helpful friendly and knowledgeable than Jake with Gold Path Solar. It took my wife and I some time to decide to move forward with solar and during that time Jake was very helpful without being pushy. Moving forward with Gold Path Solar was the best decision we could have made. We were not passed off to a third party company as so many solar providers do. We worked with Jake the entire time. He kept us informed the entire time, even if it was just to let us know we were still waiting on permits. When issues arose not only were we informed right away, but solutions were presented to us. He noted that we had a no soliciting sign, and asked if he could just leave us some information about the product. We agreed and he was on his way. After looking into the information Gunner provided we were connected with Adam, who we now know is a co-founder of the company and were again pleasantly surprised by his professionalism, knowledge, and courtesy. After a meeting with Adam where he discussed the American-made solar panels Gold Path uses, the company's commitment to building long-term customer relationships, and the potential cost savings on our electric bill, we struggled to see a downside, so we set up our site survey. We had our 17 panels installed yesterday by a team of 2 guys - Justin and Wilmer. It only took a few hours and we barely knew they were here. They were great with our dogs and thoroughly cleaned up after the install (they even borrowed my vacuum at one point when they were done with our attic access). When I decided to get solar panels installed, I had three companies bid on the project. Gold Path Solar provided the most transparent bid that did not have any hidden surprises. There is a single point of contact that helps you in the bidding phase, installation phase, and keeps in touch post installation to make sure everything is working as expected. The product installed has been working very well so far and even in the winter skies, the system is producing enough electric to offset my energy bill. The financing company (Climate First Bank) that was recommended by Gold Path Solar left much to be desired, however, they are an independent company and they deserve their own separate review.

Gold Path Solar gave me an excellent experience. They pricing was very competitive, but they sold me on the quality of service and warranties. Alex was very easy to work with and answered all my questions throughout the process. They sent a tech out before install to verify some measurements, and to check the condition and of the roof and electrical panel. It took about a month and a half from contract signing to installation. The installation crew was very friendly and was mindful of my property. The only issue we had, was some missing materials, which one installer was able to go back and pickup the materials same day to not interrupt the install. The installation was clean and well done. The install crew tested the system to check proper function before leaving. After the install, it took a couple weeks for an inspector to come and approve the installation. Then another couple weeks for AEP to switch my meter to bi-directional and give me the green light to turn on the system. The system has been on for approximately 2 months now. So far the system has met or exceeded my expectations. I have not had any issues with the system or app functions. I would highly recommend Gold Path Solar for your solar panel system.

Gold path solar and Alex have been amazing the whole time.

We had a fantastic experience with Gold Path Solar. Alex provided us with detailed information about how our panels work, the potential savings, and the entire installation process. He was patient, answered all our questions, and gave us the time we needed to make our decision. Once Gold Path received the necessary permits, they scheduled our installation promptly and completed the job in just one day. From there, it took less than a week for Duke to grant approval to turn our panels on. We've heard from friends whose solar installation experiences were far more complicated, so we're especially grateful for the smooth process with Alex and Gold Path Solar. As a side note, installing panels in the winter may not be ideal for immediate savings. However, we still saw a 25% reduction on our January bill and a 42% savings in February, which was a pleasant surprise!

The representative Mr. Alex Durinka made the acquisition process 5 star. I intend to expand the solar capacity to the remaining barns on the farm using this company and Mr. Durinka. The engineering quality of the installation plan was exceptional.

Everyone from the owner to each member of the crew truly seemed to take pride in their efforts and pride in their team. Our neighbors had solar installed by Gold Path Solar in April, 2014, and were very happy with the company. We had worked with five different companies trying to get solar installed. Two of them refused to install because of the power lines behind our house. We gave up for about a year and then we were contacted by salesmen that no longer worked for those companies and were now working for others. We met with them and the day before signing a contract with one of them, I read online where the company had sold the solar aspect of their company--not a word to us about it. I like to know who we're dealing with. About this time our neighbor was telling us how great Gold Path Solar was so we had them come and give us their sales pitch. We liked them, their price was the best of all the other companies we had dealt with. The install was done within two weeks. Nice and neat. No electric lines running across the roof--just the conduit down the sides. We've had three months of service now and love our nearly nonexistent electric bill. We do have a PHEV so that makes it even nicer. Jake and Alex are great to work with and answer any messages promptly. We highly recommend.

After careful research and reading many articles, we decided to start getting quotes from Solar Companies. We got a total of 5 quotes from different companies and the reason for going with Gold Path was #1 the reviews over numerous websites and #2 price. Spending a lot of money on a house my biggest problem has always been communication. Alex did a great job on getting back to me in a timely manner, keeping me updated and informing me of the next steps through the process. Just a warning to any people looking to get solar, ALWAYS ask the difference between a "cash" price and a "finance" price. It will amaze you.

I needed to repair the wiring between my solar panels and the inverter after the original installation company went out of business, leaving exposed wires on the roof. Gold Path Solar stepped in and installed new, well-shielded wires. They did an outstanding job!

Alex Hay from Gold Path Solar helped me help my friend who was part of the Solar is Freedom Bankruptcy scandal. A whole grid of his solar panels was not collecting any solar power. I called Alex Hay from when he worked for Solar is Freedom since he is the one who sold me Solar Panels for my house and how the energy companies keep increasing their price each year. I contacted him about the Solar is Freedom bankruptcy and asked him if I had any warranty anymore since this was a big selling point for getting solar panels. He let me know that he was not part of that company anymore after being fired. He then let me know that he started his own solar company with the people he worked with before. I asked him for a favor to go over to my friend’s house to see what was going on with his panels. No later than a day he was out at his house did an inspection and found out that it was an inverter and one panel had hail damage. Alex let me know that the hardware still has a warranty but fixing it would cost money for the labor since it is another company install. So, there is still good news for the Solar is Freedom customers out there. I recommend Gold Path Solar and Alex Hay co-founder if you are having any problems with your Solar Panels from Solar is Freedom or if you are planning on getting solar panels for your house now. Alex is a stand-up person; he could have just said that it was not his problem and hung up on me, but he didn’t and helped my friend out.
