Holding my contract HOSTAGE

Please be very careful if you decide to go with this company. We had a sales rep come out and explain the PPA program to us and what we would save by putting additional Solar and Tesla batteries on our home. They sent someone out to use a drone to take pictures of our roof and we were informed that we needed a new roof before we can move forward. My no cost PPA turned into a $68,000 loan at 7% interest. I called my Cell rep immediately and told her I could not do that and that I needed to cancel. Everything became an argument after that so I finally called EnFin and explain the situation to them. They released me from my contract, but said that Current Home Solar also had to release it. They sent some guy by the name of Rob out here because he said that they needed to talk to me in person. My husband met him on the porch and told him that we owed them money for all the sales work that was involved in creating the estimate and for someone coming out to take pictures of our roof. They argued for several minutes which I have all on my rings doorbell and finally Rob said well I need your wife to sign this. I went out into the garage to sign it and he told me I apologize for the situation and what has happened that you were not explained everything and that you did try to cancel with us. But I do need you to sign this to release our agreement with EnFin. I said oh great and now you're gonna send me another bill is that correct? He said no no no we're not gonna bill you and I will go back to the office and start submitting the contract to EnFin stating that you do not have any materials and we have not done anything on the project other than take a picture of the roof. That has been since August 13 and they still have not submitted to. EnFin. I tried to be kind during this whole process and do not want to badmouth anybody, but this is unacceptable. I am retired and live on a fixed income. JUST PLEASE BEWARE AS I'VE HEARD NOW THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE.

Extremely Disappointed – Incompetent Installation & Non-Existent Support I strongly advise looking elsewhere for your solar installation. Working with Current Home has been an absolute nightmare of poor workmanship and zero accountability. From day one, our system has failed to perform anywhere near its rated value. At absolute peak conditions, we are lucky to get roughly 75% of the power output we were promised and paid for. Getting Current Home to address this issue was an exercise in pure frustration: Unresponsive Customer Service: Countless emails, texts, and phone calls went completely ignored for months. Reaching anyone who could actually help was nearly impossible. Severe Installation Errors: When we finally managed to get a service technician on-site after months of relentless follow-up, the technician discovered that the initial install was botched. Multiple connections were wired completely backwards. In fact, the technician admitted he had no idea how the system was even functioning at all given how improperly it had been wired. Investing in solar is a major financial commitment, and you expect a qualified installation team and responsive support when things go wrong. Current Home provided neither. Save yourself the stress, lost production, and headache—choose a reputable company that actually knows how to install equipment and stands behind their work.

Terrible Service (personal experience)

Extremely disappointed with the company and its customer service. It hasn't even been 5 months since my installation, and already more than half of the solar panels aren't working. Communication has been terrible, even with the person (Connor Leeb) who was supposed to help us if anything happened, and he couldn't even respond to text messages. Email communication has also been terrible, as they don't respond, and we've been experiencing this issue for over 3 weeks. I will seek advice to see if these panels can be removed, as I don't want to continue paying for a service that clearly isn't working.

So far I'm thinking this is the worst thing I've ever done. Since day one I've had nothing but issues with this company. I've had all kinds of trouble contacting anyone in this company. I've had over 6 ot more names and numbers of different employees and can't get a hold of anyone. Now I've had two months of solar powered and yet to see any savings. This company is a joke. I'm giving it one more month if I don't see any savings I will stop making payments. I have not other choice. I'm paying double for my power, I'm paying FPL full payment and the solar company for nothing.

Do not evn think about using this company

In January 2022 I contracted with this company to install solar panels on my roof. I was under the assumption that I would get the correct panels with the layout/design as agreed upon. Three months later they came to install the panels on my roof. Without my knowledge they had changed the LG panels that I had contracted for to Jinko panels. and had re-designed the layout/design of the panels on my roof. I contracted Current home and Urban Solar to ask why these changes were made. There answer was that the LG panels were not avaiable as they had closed the manufacturing plant in Georiga. However, they are still listing them as available on their website. The LG panels were a better quality panel with a higher kw./per month production out put than the Jinko panels. Also, they told me the layout of the panels had to be changed to meet building codes. I argued with this company for over 5 months, two failed inspections and there refusal to compensate me for the lesser quality panel. It then took Duke (our power company to approve the agreement. Finally, the system was activated on October 15th. My orignal power bill from Duke had been running 2700 kw/per month. I was told that with these panels I should only be paying aprox, $100.00 per month instead of the $407.00 before.. Since the activation i have had to pay Duke over $250.00 per month and the fiance company for the panels $200 per month. Thats $450.00 dollars per month which is $150 more than what I was told I would be paying. Since all of this has happened I can not get Current Home or Urban solar to address these issues. They keep saying that the roof is shaded, but they were told not to put panels where the roof was shaded. This is an ongoing battle, but I highly stress that you refrain from contracting Current Home or Urban Solar to provide solar panels for your home. If you do, you do so at your own risk!

Outrageous Roofing Repair Costs

After presenting a 25 year loan for 0.99% interest rate the real kicker came to the fore when their charge for required roof repairs was presented. It was initially $10,500 for lifting the cement tiles from my home’s roof and replacing the tar paper under it where the solar panels were to be installed. The existing tiles would be re-installed. I threatened to cancel the contract and they reduced the roof work charge to $7,800 and said that was the best they could do because “all of the labor required to perform the roof work”. My Wife and I reluctantly agreed to the reduced charge and continued with the contract because solar was vital to our new home located in Murrieta, CA and we believed their characterization that the labor to do the roof work was excessive. The roofers showed up today and a three man crew completed the entire job in 7 hours. The only material used were nails and tar paper. It is apparent that Current Home has a roofing division or have agreements with roofing contractors that grossly over charge for roofing repairs to increase the profit for the company. Clients accept this because of their false characterizations of how much la or is involved and their clients can finance the work through the 25 year low interest loan. Current Home should be ashamed of themselves. Our contract is signed and the cancellation period has passed do we must continue on with the solar installation. Food for thought for those who consider Current Home.

Horrible customer service, no response to inquiries

Everything went fine during the initial sales consultation. Once installation was scheduled there was a hang up on a pool inspection, they told me good luck and to call them back when I figured it out. Once the permit was cleared and they installed the solar panels they are completely missing in action. They made mistakes on the loan documents and I have been waiting weeks for them to be fixed. I've sent numerous emails trying to get access to the monitoring app, none of which have been returned. Come to find out I'm waiting on an inspection that was just scheduled this past Friday (10/21/2022) conveniently when I began leaving negative reviews. The system was installed (09/16/2022). They sat on their hands doing nothing for over a month despite my attempt to contact them and will only work when it is inconvenient for them once the loan documents are signed. Definitely use a different company
