Cosmic Solar, Inc.

One Company, Done Right I’ve been burned by contractors before, so I’m hard to impress. Cosmic Solar exceeded our expectations from start to finish. They replaced our worn-out roof, relocated vents, and prepped everything for solar. The roofing and solar crews worked seamlessly together, with the solar installation beginning while the roof work was still underway. Having one company handle the roof, solar, and electrical work was a huge advantage. It also means that if there’s ever a problem, I have one company to call, not two contractors pointing fingers at each other. The electrical work was equally impressive. They installed a full Enphase battery backup system, two new subpanels, and an EV charger, all cleanly and professionally. Throughout the project, they went out of their way to do things right and involved me whenever there were choices to make. The house looks great, the system works perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier. Best of all, the final bill came in right at the estimate. No overruns. No surprise charges. I can’t recommend Cosmic Solar highly enough. They’re worth every penny. Special thanks to Pey, Eddie, Victor, and the entire team.

Cosmic Solar was a delight to work with all their employees in the office and in the field did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anybody. They added two Tesla power walls to my existing solar system. Plus they added a 240 volt EV charging cable to my garage and the poor guy had to crawl around my attic on hot 98 degree day in August. Job was done on time and budget when promised. Thank you Cosmic Solar! Ed

Cosmic solar did a fantastic job of advising me on the number of solar panels needed to achieve 130% of our peak power needs for our home at 1261 Belleflower Road in Carlsbad, California. They were flexible with the time frame, waiting patiently while we replaced the roof on our 29-year-old home to begin their work. They helped me get approval to operate our solar power system from San Diego Gas and Electric, including a Tesla Powerwall 3 in our garage. We are now off the grid during some of the warmest days of the year, which saves us money and is an environmentally sensitive way to meet our needs for electricity. Our system is power ready for an Automobile charging station in the garage for any occupants who wish to own an electric of hybrid vehicle. They answered all my many questions about the science of the energy capture in the solar panels, with a novel design to extract the maximum amount of energy from the sun. Their staff was invariably responsive and informative. Working with CosmicSolar was always a pleasant and informative process, and I recommend them without qualification.

As someone who leads a solar installation company in a completely different market, I was genuinely impressed by Pey and the team at Cosmic Solar. They were generous with their time, highly knowledgeable, and incredibly transparent in sharing operational and technical insight from hundreds of advanced battery installations. What stood out most was their professionalism, technical acumen, and customer-first mindset. It was obvious very quickly that this is a company that deeply understands both the technology and the responsibility that comes with installing energy systems on people’s homes. Companies build trust over time through honesty, execution, and long term thinking, and Cosmic Solar absolutely reflects those values. If I lived in Southern California, Cosmic Solar is a company I would confidently trust with my own home and energy system.

Cosmic Solar demonstrates incredible partnership and customer advocacy! From initial quote, through contract, permit approvals, rebate applications, system installation, provisioning and effective issue resolution, Cosmic has earned my thanks, trust and respect. I have been impressed with their recommendations, teamwork, responsiveness, and attention to detail. I rarely spend the time to write reviews, however it's my privilege to do so for Ken, Pey, Ashley, Mary and their very capable extended team. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Cosmic Solar is an A+/5 star company! We did our homework, decided on Cosmic, and they really delivered. They listened, had knowledgeable advice, were competitively priced, dug right in and did a great job! We wanted a complex system, all Enphase, with the fairly new IQ car chargers, and they were up to the challenge. They kept us informed every step of the way, and were always available for questions, If we decide to add to our system, or need at another property, we would choose Cosmic.

Highly Recommend Cosmic Solar

Cosmic Solar is very flexible in comparison with other Companies, capable of dealing with HOA President and SDG&E PTO was received in record time.

We were planning to get solar installed for a while. Finally, we went for it and made the April deadline before the net metering rules changed. Although, we would have done the installation regardless. A big shout-out goes to Cosmic Solar for providing us with stellar service. Pey Shadzi is an incredible wealth of knowledge and knows everything solar. Pey provided us with the best solar options based on our needs and usage. He is honest, personable, and genuine. The entire team kept us informed every step of the way and paid attention to all details. The team at Cosmic Solar made our installation a seamless process. Cosmic Solar is a reputable company. Our solar is up and running, and I am thrilled to be doing our part for the environment. Several solar installation companies broached us, and some companies were pushy. That was not the case with Cosmic. Hands down, I recommend Cosmic Solar for all your solar needs. This company goes the extra mile, and the whole process was a positive experience. It’s clear that customer service is this company's priority. Thank you to the team, Pey, Mary, Ashley, Hector, and Witchy!

Fantastic Company!

From start to finish, Cosmic Solar made the entire installation easy! It took just a few months from start to finish! They helped us source financing.

Great Craftman and Customer Service

What a great solar company! Starting with the Senior Energy Consultant / Ken very professional, on time and walked the talk. Roofing Manager / Ron also was very professional and helpful coming up with a solution for a part of my re-roof project. Office Staff / Mary and Arlene outstanding customer service and very attentive. Being in the construction trades myself for over 40 years I've work with many tradesmen and I have to say that both the roofers and solar system crews were top notch, left the site clean each day and installed all products in a professional manner. I would / and have recommended Cosmic Solar and Roofing to many of family members and friends. Thanks for an outstanding install and experience . Scott F.

My wife and I recently had a main service panel upgrade and residential solar system installed by Cosmic Solar and their electrician Joel Johnson (interconnection/completed date 8/9/2022). After extensive research on solar, we debated on using a national/regional installer vs a local installer but ultimately decided we preferred supporting a local company, having the whole process be in house with one company, and felt customer service would be superior. Cosmic Solar's customer service, installation, products, and performance are prime evidence of this. Pey, Arlene, Alison, and Mary were a pleasure to work with from the beginning - they outlined the process at the start clearly and stayed in constant communication along the way to ensure everything was moving along appropriately. Pey and the entire office staff always seemed to be one step ahead with the solar paperwork flow and all the necessary documents and permits - by the end, there was not a single delay with SDGE or the city and the project was ultimately approved and completed ahead of schedule. Just as important for this to happen was the efficient installation process Cosmic delivers. Hector and Alex were our solar installers and they did a great job - they were noticeably efficient while performing quality work, very personable and approachable, and took care of our roof and the surrounding areas of our house. They were also able to find a way to run all the conduit safely through our attic to the service panel thus concealing it and avoiding conduit running along the side of our house. A few days later on a day pre-scheduled with SDGE, Joel Johnson came to perform the main service panel upgrade. He was also a pleasure to have on the job - very efficient (power was only off for a few hours) and performed expert level electrical work throughout the whole process. His stucco and painting work was superb as well - the new panel and the surrounding area looked better than it was before. My wife and I plan to use Joel Johnson for any future electrical work we need done in our house. Following this, Cesar and Johnny came out a few days later for the city inspection and to finish up final details (final wiring, SunPower monitor placement, etc.). Again, as expected, everything was done in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner. And on top of all this, the SunPower products that Cosmic uses are top of the line and offer the highest performance and efficiency you can obtain on the market. They also offer a competitive price for these products. Given our installation experience and their track record, we also know Cosmic Solar will offer us a top level service experience for any service we may need along the way led by their Service Manager Khiry. When you put this all together, we plan to recommend Cosmic Solar to anyone who reaches out for a referral and encourage anyone reading this review to use Cosmic Solar for your solar installation needs.

Super Service

Cosmic Solar was referred by a friend and we couldn't be happier. The install crew went above and beyond...on time and friendly! Can't wait to start saving on our electric bill.

Super Solar Company

Cosmic Solar installed our solar panels in 2019 and since then we have been able to utilize our heater and air without paying huge amounts of money on our SDG&E bill. In fact, we usually get a credit each month. We were impressed with the installation and follow up of this company. I highly recommend them and will contact them for any future solar needs!

Excellent work

We needed new roof before we could install solar panels. Their roofing work was excellent and Ron Schwenk was especially knowledgeable in fitting our roof needs. Cosmic Solar was an excellent choice for us because we wanted battery backup.

Happy with our solar system

Cosmic solar had the most honest and transparent sales process of all the companies I spoke with (Ken is great). They installed my panels quickly and everything looks/works great. We are very happy with our system!

Cosmic Solar was efficient, clean and prompt in their works.

recommended by family members whom had their solar system installed by Cosmic Solar

Good quality and Good people!

Cosmic Solar was the obvious choice in Solar providers. Quality panels, quality technology and great customer service! Ken did a great job of representing us and the company and Teresa was awesome in coordinating our project. They made our project a priority! Ron and his crew did a great job on the roof replacement. The whole job went smoothly and we were up and running within 2 weeks! Our first net metering statement just came in the mail and our total kilowatts usage was -3! And it is a winter month! So glad we did this! And we can monitor our panels from our phone if we wish! So easy!

Very professional on every level

Cosmic has both roofing and solar install services. Everyone we spoke with was knowledgeable and the estimate was very competitive. The roofing guys were polite and installed the roof quickly with wonderful clean up. The solar panels were up and running in a single day. The only hold up was SDG&E, but that didn't take long either.

Highly Recommend

We wish we could give you more than 5 stars! Larry was great and very informative from the get-go. He explained the process very well and answered all our questions promptly. All the technicians did a great job and were very professional and friendly. On top of that, Cosmic Solar gave us the best price compared to all its competitors. We would definitely recommend Cosmic Solar to all our friends and family. We won't look elsewhere when it comes to solar installation.

Great Job!

Everything was done as promised, and although when they made a small mistake when the reconnected my wires to the new sub panel, they came out and fixed it the next day. Would recommend Cosmic!

They did an excellent job led by their tireless rep Ken!

After reading several reviews and comparison shopping they turned out to be the best choice and Ken did an excellent job taking care of everything.

Very happy w their roofing & solar services

We are very happy w the level of services Cosmic Solar provided on both our roofing and solar job. They finished well ahead of schedule and the quality of product and services for both the roof and the solar are excellent. We would highly recommend Cosmic Solar for your residential roofing and solar job. Ken was great to work with and always responsive.

The BEST of the BEST

First, I ask the question “Hoe do you review a companies performance as good as Cosmic Solars without it sounding like a made up fairytale?” Every part of the company from meeting Jose Duran early on down to every employee that we had the good fortune to encounter performed nearly flawlessly. This kind of performance can only be a result of a work ethic established at the top and a lot of effort to hire and train such a crew. Since we ground mounted I had visions of landscaping repairs and other disruptions. There was none, you would never know that they had even been here. Every concern I had was taken seriously and in most cases already anticipated. Every day there was measurable progress and the entire job was completed in about a week. It was clear that this company is a well oiled “machine”. If you want solar installed, but more than that, solar installed that brings back pleasant memories I highly recommend Cosmic Solar: “The very BEST of the very BEST!”. All of this at a very fair price, too!

Good customer service

Good customer service. They had some installation problems but they took care of them quickly.

Very professional, efficient and friendly staff

Recommended by my son

Very professional. Very knowledgeable.

Well, for me it was word of mouth reference. Once I reached out, I knew I would like to use them over others

Very professional, yet easy going

Installation completed well ahead of original schedule. Cost is better than most others, and output (kW/panel) is very high. Individual mini-inverters makes future expansion and/or repairs simple and easy.

The entire experience has been absolutely excellent

The staff, from sales to installation to followup with administration have been uniformly great, far above my expectations.

Nice install with a hickup

After talking with a few slimy sales guys from other company’s Ken and I sat down in my back patio and hashed out a few options for solar on my house. I waited for about 6 months then when I was ready I signed the contract. I received a date from Cosmic and waited. They called and had an opening which I could not use. The next time they called I was ready and we set a date. When the date came they arrived in time. The installed the panels and all of the other stuff needed. The install is neat and looks good. The panels are up and operational. Hickup 1, not Cosmics fault but the name on the SDGE bill did not match the name on the contract. So, SDGE rejected the application for net metering. Cosmic quickly resubmitted the application with the name SDGE has. Hickup 2, Cosmic solar did not get the monitor hooked up correctly so the power I was using was 10kw high per hour. As soon as I contacted Cosmic Pey came over a fixed the issue. They did a good job of taking care of my issue. 4 stars for the job. There should of been not issues on there side. 5 stars for the service, the took care of the issues

Great product, fantastic service

Cosmic staff were very approachable and were knowledgable of what the product. They were able to move our installation up and walked us through the entire process. Given the investment, I had many questions and they were very responsive and were always understanding of my concerns. Anyone thinking about getting solar, I would highly recommend Cosmic Solar. Fantastic experience and my family is now generating more than we are using.
