Complete Energy Solutions, LLC

Fabulous in every respect

I want to have power when the grid goes down, not just save energy. Most of the solar companies were trying to sell the "packages" they wanted and were less wanting to listen to my needs. Complete energy solutions came with the system I was looking for with the ideal sized battery array. The controller allows for every option conceivable; from programing use of battery to minimize time of day billing, switching designated circuits to conserve as needed, adding an electric vehicle charging, even incorporate a generator if so desired. Permits can be time consuming but mine were done in under two weeks. Installation took two full days, the State inspection two days later, and the Core Electric inspection the following day. All went smoothly. My hat is off to Matt Fenney for the great engineering, and coordination of his team.

Extremely impressed

Matt, Jennifer, and the crew from Complete Energy Solutions were incredible…I could (and often do) go on about it for too long when I'm talking to neighbors, but I'll try to keep it brief here. I strongly recommend Complete Energy Solutions to anyone looking for any kind of solar installation. They are immensely experienced and the whole process was a breeze. When the installation occurred, they were careful to be at the home all day when the utility company came to check the work, so there were no hiccups or delays. They were in and out in two days and they prepared all the paperwork - I couldn’t imagine a smoother experience. I work with a lot of vendors and other companies in my day job and I know good vendors are hard to find. But Complete Energy Solutions has it all - immense expertise, passion for service, great prices, and great ethics. Matt is a *real* Professional Engineer who takes this work seriously. From what I've heard and seen from other solar companies, it seems that Complete Energy Solutions is a significant cut above the competition. Their staff and products are extremely well-vetted whereas their competitors just sell whatever services and products have the maximum profit margin. A lot of the 'well known brands' around here don't seem to focus on providing value; they just slap something together and move on to the next deal. If you work with Complete Energy Solutions, I am sure you will have an extremely positive outcome.

Best value among highly rated competitors ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I am absolutely thrilled with the exceptional service provided by Complete Energy Solutions! Communication was another area where Complete Energy Solutions excelled. Throughout the entire project, they kept us informed and updated, promptly addressing any questions or concerns we had. Their transparency and willingness to go the extra mile made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Matt spent the inspection day waiting and then escorting both the electrical and construction inspectors through the project. This ensured a single inspection was sufficient! Overall, Complete Energy Solutions delivered an exceptional product with unmatched customer service. I highly recommend this Colorado-based, Veteran-owned company to anyone considering solar power – you won't be disappointed!

Craig Fisher, president of fisher auto in Boulder

I hired Complete Energy Solutions to install a 18.86kW system comprised of 46- Silfab 410BG solar modules, and 3-SMA inverters, on my personal home, I had two other local people turn down my home due to complicated roof design, but Complete Energy Solutions figured it out and did a tremendous job on my home. The owners, Matt and Jennifer and their team have the technical know how regarding product, permitting & installation. I am also having complete energy install an approximately 1600 panel system on our dealership in Boulder, I have a complete trust in them and I’m totally satisfied .

I am writing to recommend Complete Energy Solutions to anyone considering installing solar panels on their home. I had a wonderful experience working with them, from the initial consultation to the final installation. The first thing that impressed me about Complete Energy Solutions was their knowledge and expertise. The owners, Matt & Jennifer, took the time to understand our needs and goals, and explained the solar process in detail. They also answered all of our questions patiently and honestly. I was also impressed with the quality of the solar panels and installation. Complete Energy Solutions uses high-quality components that are NOT made in China, and their installers are experienced and professional. The installation process was quick and efficient, and the panels were installed neatly and securely. Since the installation, I have been very happy with my solar panels. They have generated more electricity than I expected, and I have already started to see a HUGE reduction in my electric bill. I am also proud to know that I am doing my part to reduce my carbon footprint. Overall, I am very satisfied with Complete Energy Solutions. They are a family company that I would recommend to anyone looking to install solar panels on their home. If you are considering installing solar panels, I highly recommend Complete Energy Solutions. They are a family owned and operated reputable company that provides a high-quality product and service.

Outstanding and Practical Knowledge and Service

Our original solar pv panel and inverter installation was in 2011 from Complete Energy Solutions (a.k.a. Denver Solar at the time). For 12 consecutive years, we've had a reliable and trouble-free system. We recently upgraded the panels and inverter, and are glad we chose Matt and Jennifer and their team once again. The quality of the design, which includes reducing points of potential failure, is top notch. Matt, Jennifer, and the Complete team are a pleasure to work with! Highly recommended!

Very pleased - 100% Recommended

Technical proficiency, industry-leading hardware, installation expertise and some really good people who give you the information and answers you need without angles or sales pitches. Installation was a smooth process and quality job from start to finish, and it was a pleasure to work with Matt and Jennifer and their crew. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Den Solar made the transition to solar easy. They kept me informed through the whole process and followed through on all their promises. I’m thankful I chose Den Solar.

Best Solar in Colorado

We purchased a solar system from Jennifer and Matt, and their company is excellent. They are small enough to give personalized support, and yet they also work big, commercial projects, so they know what they're doing and can offer solutions customized to your needs. They are available for questions and concerns and treat you like family. The experience working with Complete Energy Solutions was the best contractor situation we've had with our home, and we've used quite a few over the years. My in-laws used a different Denver-area solar provider at the same time and had a rough experience, so I know Complete Energy Solutions stands out as an excellent provider in the Denver area. I went with Complete Energy Solutions based on their online reviews, and I am not disappointed. They deliver and are worth your time and money.

Wonderful! Local! Home-Grown

It’s a big move when an older couple puts its trust and considerable capital into as big an investment as solar panels! It also comes with loads of research and pondering when choosing a company to make that dream come true. Enter Complete Energy Solutions LLC! Knowing it would be a big outlay of cash, we agreed to research online sites like Solar Reviews, the BBB and Energy Sage for reviews. With several others, Complete Energy Systems emerged with an “elite” rating so they “made the cut” to our short list of possibilities. Additionally, we asked friends who had solar panels or knowledge about the industry for recommendations and some good acquaintances recommended Complete Energy Systems. Here’s what we found: where other very well rated companies didn’t even return our calls, Jennifer Morrison, co-owner of Complete Energy Systems was immediately responsive and very forthcoming with information and patiently answered our questions. We learned CES is a twenty year old local firm, based in Arvada, CO and the definition of a family business. It’s owned and run by Jennifer and her husband, the very professional and competent Matt Morrison. We were also attracted to the “genuine” feeling of this firm and contracted with them in early September. Jennifer visited or was available by phone many times before the real installation. They took our suggestions seriously, obtained the necessary permits. The installation went smoothly thanks to the work and expertise of Matt and Jennifer as well as their team which included members of their family (their actual offspring). This is the definition of an American family business. The installation took place in October where here in Conifer with its unpredictable weather but they forged ahead with what seems to be a very good job with quality components. The system has been up and running for about two weeks and so far we’re very pleased. The few times we’ve phoned with questions, they’ve been very forthcoming.

Just a really good company

I had had others come look at my home as I had very specific needs. Jennifer and Matt came and said no problems,, identified the specific things they needed to meet those specificities a reality. It was not the wait for install that I had expected. There were some post install issues. No idea as to where the problem was, since multiple projects at the same time. They came out, identified the problem, which was not theirs, so the repair could be done. They are available to all my questions. I have found that winter is not the time to install the solar panels to see great sales to the grid, but know in the sunny months it will be gangbusters. I am so impressed with their kindness, expertise and professionalism. The knowledge base for both of them is far reaching. They have my absolute trust and respect. Thank you!

Amazingly responsive

Generally, I am skeptical of all contactors based on their sales techniques and performance. However, this company is absolutely the exception. In fact, I wish that all contractors were as attentive as this company. We first contacted them over one year ago and learned what we needed. However, we weren't quite ready to pull the trigger. A year later, they had all of our information and were able to schedule us right away. They outlined the specific steps in the process, provided realistic timeframes and performed as promised. Every step of the process was met with high energy, competence and attention to detail. This was true from the engineer, the production manager and every employee. They have a wonderful team. In the end, we are not only satisfied with the work performed but have also referred them to others. I am proud to have them on our side AND on a side note, I feel like I can call them my friends. It is not often that you fall into a groove with a person/team. They have such a genuine approach to fulfilling expectations. And at the same time, willing to share their personality with you.

The BEST Solar Company that won't cheat you

I spent 2 years researching solar companies and doing my due diligence with regard to whether I'd need them or not. Given that Colorado—demographically—produces the most sunshine with less atmosphere and that they were shutting down the coal plant near our home, it seemed a no brainer. The rest of the companies we looked at were... sketchy at best. Jenn and Matt (the owners) are both veterans and straight shooters. They do NOT finance, but only do install and were able to explain everything in layman's terms. They were able to compare other bids and point out the issues. We've had our system now for a month and have no electric bill and actually rolls over onto the grid to save us money in the winter months. Point being, is that you shouldn't waste your time on other companies. I researched them all for you already, and Complete Energy Solutions/DenSolar is, hands down, the best!

Excellent Company!!!!

Most knowledgeable and excellent experience from beginning to end. We met with several different potential solar installers including a couple very well known solar installers. No other company we could find in the Denver Metro area would even consider doing a ground mount system. Our house is surrounded by trees, and our roofs face the wrong direction (east /west). The other solar companies that we spoke with only wanted to put the panels on the roof. The problem with the roof option was that so many more panels were needed for our kw consumption because of the trees and wrong roof orientation that it raised the price by 50%! I cannot express enough how amazing Jennifer, Matt and the team are at Complete Energy Solutions. We had our solar panels installed in May of 2022. Their professionalism and knowledge of the systems are very apparent and they communicated clearly on what, when and where things would happen. Matt's expertise in solar and electrical engineering is exemplary. Not only could he answer any technical questions I had , he allowed me to assist in the installation so I would be very intimate with our setup. We also had to upgrade part of our electrical system for the way we wanted to configure things. They have a dedicated electrition that works with them on their team that was able to assit in getting this done. They are all very friendly and pleasant to work with. I personally have recommending them to friends, family and neighbors who are interested in solar. Thank you so much Jennifer and Matt! Dave and Malia

Awesome!

Getting solar panels with Complete Energy Solutions was awesome! They were able to walk us through the proposal with such patience, answering all of our questions. And working with them as the installation happened was great, they were always incredibly easy to get in touch with and they did an AMAZING job! They were actually able to get things done even sooner than initially estimated, which is always a bonus.

I cannot express enough how amazing Jennifer from the Arvada office and her team are at Complete Energy Solutions. We had our solar panels installed in May of 2021 from a different solar company, and that company went bankrupt and never completed our project. So our solar panels were just sitting on our roof, not getting used, while the company we financed our solar loan through had to start charging us! So we were paying DOUBLE for our utilities for almost a year. And to be honest, we had given up hope that they would ever be turned on since company after company tried to come in and fix the problem and failed. It wasn’t until Jennifer and her team came in and fixed this colossal issue with ease, professionalism, confidence, transparency, and just the best communication I could have asked for. She was prompt about giving us updates and letting us know what was going on, and she did everything in her power to fix this awful situation we were in and we couldn’t be happier. If we could redo it all over again, we wish we would’ve gone through Complete Energy Solutions in the first place. Thank you Jennifer and everyone else who came to our house and worked behind the scenes so this small family could start saving money like we were supposed to in the first place! You guys rock!

Most Knowledgeable By Far

I met with 4 different potential solar installers, including SunPower and several local installers. Matt and Jenn were far and away the most knowledgeable people I talked with. Every question I had, every recommendation I asked them to explain, they were able to fully and thoroughly answer. Their pricing was competitive, they were very experienced and helpful working with a credit union to take advantage of a ReNu Solar loan. They were also very friendly and pleasant to work with. I am going to be personally recommending them to any friends, family or neighbors who are interested in solar.

Enthusiastic, effective, competent

My inverter went bad. Called the company that took over the original installer's company. After several transfers, finally got to someone who told me someone could get back to me in 3-5 business days to schedule a time to come out and look. Called a few local places, and got hold of CES. Described the problem to Jennifer and Matt over the phone. Within an hour, had a proposal for work. This was on a Monday, Wednesday Matt and James came to do the work. While there, Matt answered any questions I had, showed me the website to get reports, etc. He and James did efficient, effective work. In fact, shortly after leaving, Matt called back because he thought of a way to make the system a little more efficient. Came back shortly and implemented that change. Also very friendly people and easy to work with. Strong recommendation.

A wonderful, local CO company

We couldn’t be happier with the work of Complete Energy Solutions. From start to finish, Jennifer and Matt were extremely communicative and responsive. We are very satisfied with our system and are glad we went with a local CO company. Even when there were unexpected delays on our system due to the global pandemic, CES worked tirelessly to get things back on track and were communicative the entire time. They are a great company to work with and we can’t recommend them enough.

Couldn't be happier with Complete Energy Solutions

All the proposals we received were nearly identically priced per kW for the solar array. Matt and Jennifer at Complete Energy Solutions, however, were easier to work with, provided the pros and cons for various options while explaining their proposed design, and were far more knowledgeable about the battery backup that we also wanted than the others. They answered all our questions before, during, and after installation and we're very pleased with the resulting system. We highly recommend Complete Energy Solutions.

Great to work with

The folks at Complete Energy Solutions were great to work with. The permits take quite a while, but CES was in contact with me while we waited to let me know progress with the different permitting groups. Once the permits were in place, the install was done in a day and a half. Very happy overall. I would pick them again.

My Solar Experience

By the time I called a few solar companies I knew I was getting solar panels. Didn't need to be sold anything, just looking for difference of price and ability to answer my questions about the system. Only Complete Energy Solutions responded. So I got back to them, asked a few questions, and told them I'm still looking around for a price that best fits me. They actually encouraged it. In hindsight, it was wasted time. The rest of the process went smoothly. The first day I met with them was reassuring. We talked through the rest of the process, they answered questions, and brought a page with some of the most important info. Their estimates were positively shy. Estimated solar production was lower than actual solar production. Lucky weather perhaps? At this point I brought up my HOA and they said they would help with that. Not only did they help me provide the required HOA graphics and plans, they helped with city requirements too. It took 1.5 days to install the 14 panel system. Going so far as too match the paint color of the pipe to the side of the house. And at the time of inspection from the city I didn't even have to go outside. Truthfully, I completely forgot about it. The system passed and a few days later we got our meter replaced. Flipping the switch to turn on the system was incredibly satisfying. Knowing concerns over my energy needs are, essentially, over. Because I'm doing something good for the environment and my wallet. Half of the time I can independently get electricity and most likely sell some too from a product I'm confident in. The cherry on top is, I have a federal tax rebate coming in. A serious purchase requires a serious review. Simply put, I've only had good experiences with this company and the system they installed.

Thrilled with our new Solar

A friend recommended them and they more than lived up to their reputation. On time or early to every appointment. Did exactly what they said they would do. Excellent equipment and professional installation. Always willing to stop and answer my questions. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Excellent experience from beginning to end

I had quotes from two national companies and had moved forward with one before getting cold feet. I googled a bit more and found Complete Energy Solutions and was liked that they were local. From the minute I contacted them they were responsive. Their proposal was straightforward and was not pushy or slick like the national companies felt. i was extremely concerned about the attachment to my brand new expensive roof and they were assuring and did their research to do it right. They do not have a one size fits all approach or knowledge base. The install process was exactly as they described and was timely and without issue.

Seamless residential ground mount install - great job!

CES installed a 5kW ground mount solar system in my backyard. My roof has a shallow slope and faces the wrong direction so I wanted the solar panels in my backyard. It was difficult to find an installer that was interested in the project. It was not a problem for CES. I could tell that they had done this before. Matt and Jennifer explained the process and the whole project went off on schedule. The crew was great. They worked hard and hit all of the milestones. They even had to take down some fence to get the cement in. It was put back together better than before. They also patched all of the sprinklers they hit when they dug a trench for the electrical. If you have an area in your backyard that you don't want to water and would rather do a ground mount system, then I highly recommend giving CES a call. PS, I have had the system now for 6 months. It works great. I don't have an electric bill (I use gas to heat water, swamp cooler for AC, that is why it is small system). I am operating at a surplus (including powering my car)! I am sure I will eat in the surplus in the winter. I think the panels look pretty cool too.
