Complete Energy Solutions, LLC

A terrific home investment - they underpromise and over-deliver

We chose Complete Energy Solutions after interviewing several local installers. Matt and Jennifer were easy to work with: they answered all of our questions; gave us very competitive pricing; and installed our system earlier than their original time estimate. An additional plus was that they install the systems themselves - no subcontractors who may or may not have much experience in solar installation. Our system has been operational for about six weeks. For the first complete billing period our system was operational we had an unusually large number of cloudy days and we ran the AC often because we have allergy problems. In spite of this our bill, minus the mandatory $15 fee to connect to the grid, was $1.33. We could not be more pleased and would highly recommend them. In fact, we have recommended them enthusiastically to several neighbors.

This company is surprising in its excellence.

Complete Energy Solutions is the best contractor I've worked with in any field. As an engineer myself, I've worked with hundreds of contractors, so that is saying a lot. The value of what they deliver is so far above standard it is crazy. Great work, great people, and they always go above and beyond. I believe you couldn't not find an outfit more technically competent than this. We had issues with our county (they were totally unreasonable to start off) in getting our 25k solar ground array approved, and Matt & Jennifer worked through all the details (and headaches) with them. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Excellent Help w/ PV Renovation

As an "early adopter" who subsequently achieved a methane-free home, I needed to make some changes. Big-name installers would talk on the phone, & give pricey, software estimates via e-mail. They wanted a financial commitment even before coming on site. Matt showed up in person & showed me how to build upon my original setup. I avoided bells & whistles ("points of failure," his term) I didn't need & accomplished my goal for considerably less than those other bids. One less important but irksome detail received a prompt followup solution. Mat even helped me passon my old equipment in a mostly charitable but satisfying way. I'm extremely happy with my choice. This is the kind of small business that America touts but is increasingly hard to find. Go with Complete Energy Solutions!

Totally Outstanding

On August 31,2020 we closed the purchase of our new home in Colorado Springs. We wanted to install solar to offset the electrical cost of our home that would have an expansive garage shop (where I intend to build a homebuilt airplane), a quilting studio, and a hot tub. We also wanted to reduce our carbon footprint. We immediately began looking for a solar provider. Luckily, we discovered Complete Energy Solutions, owned and operated by Matt and Jennifer Feeney. In checking Complete Energy Solutions online, the reviews were highly impressive and consistently outstanding. We organized a meet at the new home site and within a few days received a comprehensive professional proposal. As part of the proposal, Matt provided a full and accurate assessment of the solar equipment from different manufacturers. To make a long story short, we went with the proposal from Matt. Now, in October 2020 we have a fully functioning and licensed solar system for our new home. I might add that this is our second solar system having added solar some 8 years ago to our home in Arizona. We have found this new system better in every way. I might add that Matt is an Army Veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He has clearly brought his military ethos of outstanding leadership, unquestioned integrity, expert knowledge, and tireless work ethic to Complete Energy Solutions. I am a retired Major General from the U.S. Army and I know excellence when I see it. I have clearly seen it in Matt Feeney and in his family owned and operated Complete Energy Solutions. I could not give a better recommendation than that of using Complete Energy Solutions to plan and install your solar system. If you need further information, I am Phillip Oates at 719-725-0368.

Great from beginning to end!

Matt, Jenn, and the rest of the workers, including their sons, were just wonderful. They explained the work, and then performed the installation in a totally professional manner. They kept us informed of the schedule, and the progress. Everything went smoothly. We started generating power yesterday!

A Wonderful Experience

When we were planning to install solar panels, we have bids from a national company, a larger regional company and decided that we should have one from a local company. Based on Complete Energy Solutions reviews, we chose them as our local company. Matt and Jennifer helped us by answering of all the questions and concerns that we had. In the end, we chose them because of their willingness be be of service to us. We had a issues with our local power company and city inspector during our hook up, and Complete Energy came and went multiple times from our house to get things set up for us. They have responded promptly to our concerns and we have now been up and running for over two months. We highly recommend their business.

CES designed and installed the right system for our needs

Matt and Jennifer are a pleasure to deal with. During their initial site visit, they listened and understood what we needed. When I compared their proposed design and estimate with another I received, it was apparent that the "other guy" was designing a system he wanted to make, rather than the system we needed. We went with CES and couldn't be happier. The installation was smooth, the final inspection was completed successfully the next day. After the power company hooked us up, it became apparent that the inverter configuration was not optimal. Matt was out the next day to fix it. Every question I've had for Matt, he's had the right answer.

Great Company!

After a stressful and complete fiasco with another company we were impressed with Jennifer and Matt (and their team). They were very courteous and concerned with our issues and made sure not only were things done right but that we had a peace of mind with our system!!

A great company

This is a good business to work with

Highly recommend this company

Complete Energy Solutions are very organized, professional and friendly. There were no high pressure sales tactics and we immediately felt comfortable working with them. During installation they were very dedicated to their work. They kept us informed throughout the process what was happening. We are very pleased with the quality of our system and the overall experience.

Best in the Biz

Complete Energy did our original install some years back, have helped us recover from two hail storms, and recently more than doubled the capacity on our roof. They quickly engineered the expansion with ideas that their competitors failed to mention - and those suggestions, using same equipment specs as competitors, resulted in about 25% more power to the grid. Friendly crew, many are family members, they worked through a couple of roofer issues. Would use again and would recommend in a heartbeat.

World class engineering and installation - heads above the rest

I interviewed 3 different solar companies before I decided to buy from Complete Energy Solutions. I have 2 engineering degrees myself so I thought I would easily be able to decide which company had the best solution. I discovered that it is extremely difficult to filter all of the information to pick the best solution. Finally, Matt with Complete Energy Solutions was able to explain why his solution made the most technical sense. He uses quality panels and the leading inverter coupled with an outstanding mounting system. At the end of our discussion, I felt very comfortable with choosing the solution provided by Complete Energy Solutions. They are not the cheapest. but I believe they have the highest quality overall solution. The other competitors were salesman and did not really understand the technical aspects of what they were selling. Matt has his own crew and was on the site supervising the installation. Complete Energy Solutions uses only premium wiring and electrical components. After the installation, Matt was there for the inspections and the follow through with the utility company. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Outstanding company and people to work with

Complete Energy Solutions is a breath of fresh air to work with. We have been interested in putting solar panels on our house for several years, but most of the companies that we had talked to in the past had always went into hard sell mode and tried to make a business case based on “facts” that are based on pure speculation. This was always a huge turn off for me which made me want to get their salesperson out of house as fast as we could. When working with Complete Energy Solutions there was no salesperson involved, but we worked directly with Matt, who is the chief engineer and owner, and Jennifer, who is the business manager. There was absolutely no sales pitch, but instead it was here is the solution we can for do and a simple let me know if you are interested. To top it off Complete Energy Solutions was significantly less expensive the other companies we had talked to. The installation process was also an excellent experience as I never got the feeling that they wanted to get in and get out as fast as possible to maximize their profits, but instead there was a real commitment to make sure the job was done right the first time and that we were happy. Complete Energy Solutions is a family business; therefore, Matt was always on site when work was being done plus Jennifer was usually here as well. Both Matt and Jennifer were extremely patient with us and made sure we understood exactly what they were doing every step of the way. From beginning of the process to the end we were extremely satisfied and I highly recommend Complete Energy Solutions.

Easy to work with and competent

When we moved to Colorado, we knew we wanted to explore solar panels. Matt walked us through all the technical aspects of installing solar. Jennifer handled the paperwork and helped me submit the plan for HOA approval. They and their team quickly completed the work and even returned later after a hail storm to provide peace of mind that all was well. I recommend anyone considering solar talk to Complete Energy Solutions, LLC.

Friendly, knowledgeable and conscientious

Referred by my neighbor. They spent one day removing my panels and brackets before my reroofing. Then two days to put everything back to gather. Very nice as well as thoughtful.

Complete Energy Solutions, LLC SAVED US from 'SUNBURN'

Not only did they personally address the situation we were in with an under-powered, low budget system, they offered guidance on best practices (inverters vs Micro-inverters) and even designed our system to have 4kW of power on tap, without an expensive battery system. The principle Engineer (Matt) is very knowledgeable and takes great pride in both his system design and workmanship. Best solar system purchase we even made! Highly recommended if you are looking at a solar lease, call these guys and LEARN HOW they can save you too! : )

Great Company

Chief Engineer Matt Feeney and his crew at Complete Energy Solutions are the best people and company we have ever done business with. From start to finish Matt carefully explained every step of the process and kept us regularly informed. Our roof had metal singles, which makes installation more difficult, and caused other companies to tell us they couldn't install solar panels on a metal roof. This did not faze Matt in the slightest; he knew exactly how to install our solar panels on a metal shingle roof and even brought us up on the roof to show us the quality of his work. Matt and wife Jennifer are patient and personable. They always answered all our questions and made the paperwork and application process a breeze. During installation, the quality of the materials used and the meticulous, non-rushed manner in which the installation was accomplished was quite evident. We highly recommend Complete Energy Solutions.

Great Service!

After 8 years of very successful use of our 16 panel/Fronius inverter system, the inverter showed "State 514". I called Fronius and we ran a trouble shoot and found the unit was not operating and full capacity. That's when Matt Feeney of Complete Energy Solutions (our original installer) came to the rescue. He made connections with Fronius on Saturday and was able to install the new inverter the next Friday. Now that' Great Service!

Great Solar Array - Awesome Install and Service

Matt and Jennifer and their team were nothing short of amazing from start to finish with our residential project. They took time explain details in understandable terms, answer ALL of my questions, and complete the job as promised. We love our new system. What is most impressive is just how knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive they are! You will not go wrong purchasing your system from CES! Thank you Matt and Jenn.

9.8 KW Hybrid Solar Energy System with Battery Backup

We are just over the one-year mark from having our hybrid integrated solar energy system with AC generator and battery backup operational. Other than having to pay for the grid connection fee and an external night light, we've managed to meet our electrical needs while banking over 2.5 MW hours this past year. In addition to seeing a significant return on our investment, we've overcome numerous power outages with the system, thus minimizing interruptions and enabling us to meet our electrical loads/demand during these outages. Matt, Jennifer and the crew were very knowledgeable in helping us select the right components to meet our specific needs of a net metered system with energy storage and backup capabilities. We are very pleased with the work performed, from concept, to designing and developing the system, to integrating the renewable and non-renewable components of the system, and finally realizing a fully operational hybrid integrated renewable energy system. Matt handled all the paperwork, permits and worked closely with the local electrical coop to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and has been very responsive to questions and follow-up. Thank you all for a job well done. From a happy Customer.

6.2 kW PV installation with storage

I will echo earlier reviews by saying that, upon completion of this project, I cannot imagine going with any other vendor. Matt Feeney, with his extensive experience in the aerospace and energy industry, is an engineer's engineer. His work is meticulous; his materials top-of-the-line. And when his team shows up, surely enough it is his family, and almost always a trainee or apprentice, i.e. tech school students. In the case of my project, two of these apprentices were ex-military. a veteran himself, Matt believes in and practices ongoing support for this community. In addition to getting the highest quality install, by going with CES one is supporting the widest possible alternative energy community. For this particular installation, we wanted backup battery storage as well. We wanted to avoid relying on a (natural gas) generator for backup power. While the other vendors we solicited hesitated at this request, and had to seek other specialists, Matt, with his deep expertise, knew exactly what to propose. In this case a 280Ah, 48V battery bank consisting of 4 Concorde PVX2580L sealed lead acid batteries in a beautiful custom-built, locking aluminum cabinet. Enough power - in the form of safe, established technology - to keep the lights and essentials (including the gas furnace) running for a few days on their own, and indefinitely with PV charging. It is deeply satisfying to have the actual owner of this company working on your home. Getting to know Matt a little personally (I'm also a former engineer, and veteran), I continued to be amazed at the extent of his engineering resume. No going through secretaries or call centers. You get to see and work with this expertise in the flesh. I will not hesitate to recommend CES as the top choice for PV installation projects. Stu Cummings, Boulder

Superior Service

We had quotes for our installation that were less than the bid of Complete Energy Solutions but chose CES because of Matt Feeney's engineering education and experience. I'm glad we made that decision. There were no hitches in the installation. Matt was on site throughout the process, working alongside his crew and making sure everything, down to the smallest detail, was done with perfection. I am convinced he is the best solar installer in Northern Colorado. And, his office manager, Jennifer Morrison, is a delight to work with. Because Matt and Jennifer are both former Army officers, they are "mission oriented". When hired, their mission is to get your job done right. For our installation, their mission was accomplished.

Solar Array for home in Colorado Springs

Matt and his crew at Complete Energy Solutions were fantastic. He took the time to educate me about all manner of energy efficient options to best take advantage of the beautiful array that they installed. He even took the time to teach me about things that had nothing to do with the solar array in order to optimize our home. Everything was completed on time and all of the paperwork/permitting was handled entirely.

Great Service

Complete Energy Solutions did an excellent job on our 9.44kw array. The array was done to the proposal specifications and the proposed time frame.  Complete Energy Solutions handled all the submittals and requests for inspections. Even with inclement weather the project was completed on time. Matt and Jenifer answered all of our questions. It was a first class operation start to finish.

The best solar company

I received 5 estimates for my home solar panels - learning more about solar installations than I thought possible. However, Matt and Jennifer of Complete Energy Solutuons were by far the best. There was no hard sell, no hoops to jump through, all the numbers were presented up front and they were the most cost effective. The installation went seamlessly, everything looks and works great. Matt gave me as much information as I could handle and I know he'll be there when I have more questions. I confidently chose Complete Energy Solutions and expect to be happy with my new solar system for the next 30 years.
