Canopy made empty promises

I chose them because they were the only ones available. Canopy installed solar panels on my tile roof, and left a space of 4 inches underneath the panels. I asked the installer manager about the possibility of pigeons making the space underneath their home. He told me that if that happens, I should call them and they'll take care of the issue. The pigeons made my roof their home, and I called Canopy as told, and canopy said that this was not their problem. Definitely way below average customer service, and made empty promises. I had to pay to fix the problem with the pigeons, and canopy will not refund even one penny. I would stay away from this company.

Canopy Solar

Watch out I hired this company to install solar on my roof of my home. This project took them 11 months to complete the work . We call them several days they would never return the calls. We have several 2000 sq ft homes in our area, five next door They only install 8 panels on my roof. My neighbors have the same sq ft another company install 26 panels on there roof. I ask on of the installers if 8 panels were enough, he said sure. well my electric Bill is remains the same plus they charge me a few thousand more then my neighbors paid. This company is very irresponsible they said 8 panels was enough, They totally did not tell the truth, they took there money and never heard from them again. I do not recommend them, They might change there name.

Such A Mess!

Do NOT use this company, you will regret it. They have stalled and stumbled for 7 months!!!! After an initial flurry of activity for installation and the major payment, all went downhill fast. They didn't get the proper permits, didn't show up for inspections, and lately give us the excuse that the permitting center is closed due to COVID, which is NOT TRUE. We have a solar array and battery that have been inoperable since January. Wasted money and incredibly frustrating!!!! We tried being nice, calling every day, begging, pleading, NADA. We are now trying to figure out where they left off in the process so we can hire someone else to get us that last mile. Arghhhhhh... City inspectors know these guys and are very sympathetic to our situation!!!

I bought solar for all 3 of my properties and it was a big mista

I agreed to purchase solar from Canopy for all three of my properties and it has proven to be a big and costly mistake!! While I loved the salesman, the system and mostly, the installation is worst than I would had ever imagined! They destroyed my roof at my new home up north, insisted that the pictures sent is enough to approve payment, then when I went to my vacation home I was horrified by the fact that they removed the slate from my roof and replaced its with asphalt shingles at least 5 ft in each direction outside of the solar panels!! Absolutely unbelievable and incompetent! they agreed to fix or pay for me to fix and now wont return my calls!!! sick to my stomach on the costly mistake of trusting this company. Don't be a fool like me!!!

Non completion, 4 inspection failures, abandoned

BUYER BEWARE!

BEWARE! We were sold by this company and have regretted it ever since. The system size and production we were promised was VERY OFF and we ended up with a system that only covers about 65% of our household needs. No help from company when we complained that we were misled. Avoid this company at all costs!

Canopy Energy made the whole experience one to write about!

I searched/shopped around for solar for awhile until I found canopy. This company is one of the best from start to finish. The whole process took about 6 weeks, and we couldn't be happier. From Ilana (our sales rep) to final inspection (Sorry can't remember his name) the whole team was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They kept their appointments, explained everything every step of the way, and made the whole experience one to write about!

Five stars from us!

I have a friend who had solar installed 2 years ago, I was skeptical about having solar. I wish I would have done this two years ago... my normal electric bill is average $350 a month, the first month with solar and a lot of cloudy days my electric bill $25 !!! Thank you so much Canopy Eenergy! You did an awesome job installing solar at my house. The crew was friendly, honest and explains the system, Costumer service even helped me with the applications for my tax credits. Five stars from us!

I love my Solar System!

Canopy Energy has been amazing to work with! They are professional and answered all of my questions. They've kept us up to date with the whole process and are great at communicating. . Emillie was amazing, has gone above and beyond her duties she still checks in with me to make sure I am happy and everything is going well. I highly recommend them!

hello. my grandfather once told be i'm not rich enough to afford buying something cheap. canopy are not cheap , i could have done it much cheaper. but i saw here the bad reviews and decided that i have to write my own personal experience with canopy. from the first moment the salesman entered my house , i know that this is someone i could trust , and after about 3 hours i even liked the guy. ans so decided to do business with them. in my opinion every home honer that dose not install solar is crazy , it's the best investment i ever did. from the very start i was treated with respect has a bank with give a millionaire . my every need was met and the new guy tal made sure to call me and ask if there is anything else i desire. thanks canopy i appreciate it and feel 100% pleased that i choose your company.

All the staff at Canopy Energy were very pleasant, professional, and I found them to be very knowledgeable about their product. When a misunderstanding came about, they were receptive to my questions and were very thorough with their assistance and helping to resolve the matter to my satisfaction. Overall I recommend this company. They were neat and clean and did not leave a mess at the end of the work shift. I now am using the sun to produce electricity!!

Great Company, helped me go Solar

I had a very positive experience with Canopy Energy, everything from the initial consultation, finance options, to installation and post installation went as planned. I'm willing to bet the people leaving bad reviews most likely are never happy where ever they go.

Canopy Energy did a great job!

We've been wanting to install solar for long time so I got quotes from different solar companies but Canopy beat them all. We just finished solar system installation with Canopy 3 days ago and the results are impressive. They were on time, friendly and professional. Amanda spent a good amount of time explaining the whole process and the benefits that we get. They are a full-service company providing a complete solar system installation solution here in CA, USA. Their super professional staff is always on time and has done a clean & organized job. All the team members (from management to the workers) all are very efficient, cooperative, and detail oriented having a great experience. Their skillful and amazing crew offers guidance and ultimately satisfies our vision. They were perfectly attentive to our needs. Every single little detail in our new solar panel is perfect and worth any penny. The amazing crew has finished the project on time. Their creative design and solution with the directions of the sun are better than all expectations. We would definitely recommend them to our family and friends. Their marvels work is not the cheapest but definitely the best work around the city. We would definitely approach them for all our future projects and recommend them without hesitation.

Horrendous Experience

Derrick92 if your reading this I feel your pain. My project started in May and as of today July 22nd we still have all the equipment in our backyard. So here is what happened to us. Our project required a reroof. The roofers showed 3 days late on the job mid May. The entire roofing project took almost 3 weeks to complete (2 roofing companies) resulting in damage to the interior of our home. In the middle of the roof project it rained and since our roof was not complete it rained in our house!!!! I could write 3 pages of things that happened during the roofing fiasco. They blamed everyone but themselves on the whole job. When the installers came out to put the solar on the roof they found that the system would not fit (apparently they cannot measure either) so they left and have not been back to pick up their system. All kinds of excuses and promises with no follow through. They have continually resent a plan set that will not fit on our roof and will not stop with the selling and get their stuff out of my yard. Unbelievable!!!! if I could rate them a minus 5 star I would.
