Brooklyn SolarWorks

Communicative and clear

The folks at Brooklyn SolarWorks were helpful and communicative through the entire installation process. They provided clear pros and cons for different sizing options, projected upfront costs vs. savings, and expectations for the installation. They showed up on time and completed the work in the timeframe they stated, and were responsive when I needed technical support for a minor issue. Highly recommended.

White Glove Treatment from start to finish

Brooklyn SolarWorks delivered exactly what they promised — and then some. From consultation to installation, their attention to detail was obvious, and when small hiccups came up, they made it right without hesitation. That white-glove treatment is rare these days. Yes, they weren't the cheapest quote we got. But the quality was worth every extra dollar. Our monthly electric bill has dropped significantly, and between state and city rebates, the system is on target to pay for itself a little sooner than we'd anticipated. My wife and I would strongly recommend Brooklyn SolarWorks to anyone considering solar. With electricity prices continuing to climb, the sooner you install, the sooner you start saving — and this is a team that will take great care of you along the way.

Excellent!

We had Brooklyn SolarWorks install a solar system on our commercial property in Brooklyn, and overall we’ve had a very good experience. The installation process went smoothly, and most importantly, the system has been producing in line with the projected annual production. During the first year, we did have an inverter that stopped working as well as an issue with the monitoring configuration. Brooklyn SolarWorks responded, replaced the inverter, corrected the monitoring issue, and followed up to make sure everything was operating properly. What I appreciate most is that when issues came up, they stood behind their work and took care of them. Their team has also continued to follow up with us after the installation rather than disappearing once the project was completed. Overall, we’re happy with the system, its performance, and the service we’ve received from Brooklyn SolarWorks. I would recommend them to anyone considering solar in New York.

Super knowledgeable team

Brooklyn Solar demonstrates exactly why local expertise matters in the complex NYC market. Nate was incredible to work with—highly knowledgeable about nuanced Con Edison billing and able to uncover more rebates than I expected. He designed a great, high-capacity panel setup and worked around the clock to secure a discount while I was closing on the property, making the whole process seamless. Highly recommended!

Brooklyn Solarworks did a fabulous job with our installation from beginning to end. They walked is through the entire process, from the initial survey through final installation, with clear and comprehensive communications every step of the way. They took care of all of the regulatory processes and kept us informed. The installation of our 14 rooftop panel system was completed in one day by a friendly team that respected our property, trading it like it was their own. The installation is very neat and tidy and is working perfectly. We gave them our highest recommendation and they truly worked hard to earn it.

Great work

Brooklyn Solar did a fantastic job with our 8 kW rooftop install earlier this year. We just got our updated Con Ed bill and chopped $200 off the electricity costs for March. Cannot say enough good things about this company.

We’re so glad we went solar with Brooklyn SolarWorks. We had been considering it for a while but weren’t sure how to navigate the process or if it was manageable for our family. Their team made everything incredibly easy—clearly explaining each step, timeline, and especially the financial side so we could make an informed decision. Even after installation, they continued to follow up—making sure our financing was fully set up, confirming connection with ConEd, and checking that everything was working properly. Highly recommend to anyone considering solar—they’re true pros!

Go Solar with Brooklyn SolarWorks! You won't regret it!

Super easy to work with, very fast!

BSW was truly a breeze to work with. They were transparent and hassle free from start to finish, cannot recommend higher. Every employee I interacted with was pleasant and knowledgable.

My solar installation

Brooklyn solar installed solar panels on my roof in early March. My bill for the previous month was $514. My bill after activation was $41. They did a great job installed in one day made sure that the panels had netting around the bottom so so no animals we get underneath the process was easy and they went through the landmark commission and got all the certifications done within less than a week

BSW won our business after a lot of research and comparisson shopping. Our goal was to find a great system and an even better service model, and they delivered both.

Can highly recommend Brooklyn Solar. Installed last October, our solar panels have performed exactly as promised — and now that the spring sun has finally arrived, happy to report the ConEd bills have shrunk to basically nil. The entire BSW team was never anything less than completely professional through the whole process. A special shout-out to Chadd, who led both the survey and the installation— and worked expertly around an idiosyncratic 115-year old house. Couldn’t be happier!

Professional, reliable, personable - a great experience

Brooklyn Solar Works completed my installation in December 2025, just before the expiration of the federal tax credits. It was a long time in coming because I needed to complete a major project on my roof. BSW was accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. It is extremely rare to find a contractor with their level of professionalism, attention to detail, responsiveness to all questions and concerns, and follow-through after the installation. Installation was quick and professional. Afterwards they made sure the required inspections and sign-offs happened without delay, and they helped me with the paper work needed to get my tax credits. The whole process was as seamless as could be expected. And the system is now cranking out the power more than expected, even through a cloudy, snowy winter. I couldn't recommend them highly enough! It was a pleasure to work with the entire team. I am also very happy with the tracking performance of the inverter. I can follow mostly in real time what my system is producing and the site is very easy to navigate.

premium installers and product!

had a fantastic experience working with BK solar works from working through what my house needed to getting NYC approval to installing the amazing bracket system and handing off the service to ConEd :)

I picked Brooklyn SolarWorks for a peace of mind

I was asking different solar installation companies and I either got a “ no we don’t do such a small project” or “ we don’t do a flat roof” answer. Some other companies I consulted also did not have many customers’ reviews that I can read about. When I found Brooklyn Solarworks, I knew I didn’t have to look further. They have so many positive reviews and great track record. They answered all of my questions and they took time to understand what I needed. They are not limited to just servicing Brooklyn. They also specialize in putting solar panels on canopy. They are versatile.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Brooklyn SolarWorks. They made a complicated process (several different options for system size and payment on our unusually sized roof) incredibly easy to understand, and answered all our questions with patience and care. We've had our system for nearly a year and only had to pay for electricity these last two months of winter. Next year, we're looking forward to not paying for electricity at all!

Great Company

Highly recommend installing solar panels with this company. Kudos to Sales; Liam, no-pressure communication with positive attitude and kindly follow up. Kudos to Kavin project manager; highly knowledgeable and always clear explanation about job sequence before, during and after, kudos to Scholastica for adm job with lots of info, kudos to Chadd supervisor of work force, everyone nice n positive. Installation was fast, one day, material high quality. Everyone very professional with positive, optimistic attitude! Thank you

The entire process was perfect! We met, they took measurements, Even asked me what color I wanted for the conduit! BEST of all--they completed in less than a day and were spotless. Absolutely recommend them!

Fantastic onboarding, thoughtful guidance, invaluable hand holding as needed, flawless and clean installation, perfect leveraging of system monitoring technology, and great ongoing followup for all questions and tax support. I'm now a Brooklyn SolarWorks devotee and only regret I don't have a few more buildings for them to upgrade to solar. Oh... and yes, my ConEd bill has been significantly reduced :)

Amazing install in Historic District

Brooklyn Solar Works thank you!! Incredible 40 panel installation on my roof which is pitched at 60 degrees in Historic Fieldston. They took care of all my paperwork, city filings and tax related paperwork. On time, on budget, smooth sailing

Amazing company--and wonderful installers

The were so helpful, and not pushy at all. Came, did an assessment, shared a quote with us--Asked ahead of time what color we wanted the conduit painted so when it went up on my building it was already painted. The were careful, efficient and pleasant. They actually completed the entire job in one day! Great customer follo up. I couldn't be happier with the steep reduction in my bill with Con Ed. Thanks!

Great sales and installation. Poor service afterwards.

The sales part, permitting, helping explaining financing was all excellent. The system was installed and connected to the grid faster than expected. The reason why I’m only rating 3/5 is that I’ve had a small issue with the consumption part in the enphase app not being correct. It seems to be an issue with the CT clamps(?). I spoke with the PM and told him about the issue on 6/13. He said sometimes it does that and to give it 24-48 hours. On 6/15 I left a message that I was still having the problem. No response On 6/17 I called the main office line and they took my name and message and the PM will call me back. No response. 6/18 called the main number again and PM just popped into a meeting he’ll call me back. Finally got a call back and he said they pushed a software update and give it 24-48 hours. I believe here they just reversed polarity issue. 6/20 called the PM again and left another message. No response 6/26 called again…… also tried calling main number both no answer. Look I get that you’re busy but what if I had a real problem? Can I expect this type of treatment as well?? I really wish someone would follow up without me having to leave a bad review to get your attention.

The Best In the 5 Boroughs

After spending years trying to find a solar installer in the 5 boroughs, I finally was referred to Brooklyn Solar Works. My experience with this installer was top notch. The whole sales process was seamless and they took care of everything for us ! They are local and come highly recommended, so I felt that was the best option to go with someone local who knew there way around the permitting process. The value was great to, I also found that they were the only company offering power production guarantees on there system. Also our installation took one day and the installers were all so nice and did a fabulous job. This was a no brainer for me and my husband. Don't look any further go for Brooklyn Solar Works.

Everything as promised. Highly recommend!

Loved the process with Brooklyn Solar Works. Great online dashboard that made everything simple. Prompt response when I sent emails. Everything went exactly as describes and now one year in I'm loving the operation of my system. I highly recommend Brooklyn Solar Works

Clear communication and solid work

I contacted several companies for proposals for solar on the roof of my brownstone in Brooklyn. Several companies wanted me to sign agreements with them just to do an assessment! Brooklyn SolarWorks stood out for its clear communication. The quote itself was in line with all the others. From beginning to end (5 months), I had a single point of contact. They clearly explained what would happen and then it happened exactly as explained. I received responses to all of my questions in a timely fashion. The only hiccup was that we had to push the installation back due to an ice storm. The installation itself was very quick. Everyone I spoke to from sales reps to electricians and laborers was professional and well-informed. My system was randomly selected for an inspection from NYSERDA and the inspector said BSW did a great job and that he almost never sees major issues from them (but often sees major issues from many other installers). The system has been running smoothly for 2.5 months and I'm generating >100% of my usage (we'll see what happens when it's time to turn on the AC this summer). Altogether I'm a very happy customer!

A cut above the rest

After shopping around for Solar, Brooklyn Solarworks was clearly a step above their competitors. From the beginning of the process all project documentation was clear and concise. This made the project very smooth even though there are many other factors for NYC solar (tax credits, abatements, permits, etc.) Highly recommend for any flat roof NYC homeowners that want to go solar. Day of installers were on time, professional and very neat/orderly.

An Easy Home Project? Yup, it’s true!!!

From start to finish the experience with Brooklyn Solar was a pleasure. Their expertise made it easy and honestly, how many times can you say that in the course of a major home project?!? I recommend them without hesitation… and that electric bill is looking better with each passing month! Thank you team!

Exceeded expectations

The service was great. They completed the install a day earlier than promised and I'm getting almost 100% of my electric bill covered. Plus it just feels good to have solar power installed (guilt-free air conditioning). Very happy I took the plunge.

Solar

Best move I have made , they were neat and finished when they said would be done great company
