American Solar & Roofing

I have recommened American solar to several people, 2 of my friends have installed with them based on my experience. None of these sources applied as I had had a system before and knew I could save money and help the enviorment.

Using e-mail, information, updates on construction, and questions were answered in a timely manner from American Solar. I provided pictures of my home in these e-mails suggesting desired locations for equipment installation. American Solar responded `that they would do their best to me my expectations.` All equipment was installed in these desired locations. This was a huge plus for me. Eliminating me from taking time off work to monitor the construction phase. American Solar and I continue to have a very postive communciation between parties.

The renewables industry itself is woefully inadequate in making info available. My own (AZ) state govt provides little incentive, particularly for an area where solar makes so much sense. The solar advocacy groups here are disorganized and dysfunctional. As a professional writer and journalist, my efforts at supporting and promoting the industry have been not merely ignored, but in several instances actually discouraged by individuals who seem more concerned with protocol and personal agendas than with furthering the growth of the industry. I remain a strong supporter of renewable energies, but am frustrated and disappointed in the collective public relations consciousness of so many of those involved.

We were happy with the work they did. Wes Neal was great to work with. They did all the work for the permits and contacts needed. Dwayne Sanford and his team who came out and did the installation were efficient and professional. Everything was done ON TIME. In 5 months, we have saved just under a thousand dollars from last year on our electric bill. We would highly recommend getting a solar system and using American Solar Electric.

ASE was extremely helpful in explaining everything we needed to know and what all our options were. They took care of all the paperwork with the electric company and pretty much everything else. All we really had to do was choose a system and sign the papers. ASE took exceptionally good care of us and we would recommend them for any size job.

Everything was top notch with the one exception of the Sunny Beam software that I got with the unit. Company didn`t quite understand the software utilization. This was a minor issue since I am an programmer, I was able to determine how it worked.

American Solar Electric is an awesome company I have ever dealt with... after researching several solar companies before we did this project we choose American Solar Electric and we made the best and only right choice for our system. They have been so above board in every aspect of the installation from beginning to continueing after completion. They go the extra mile to make sure everything is going okay/well and you are happy... this is such a great feeling they are always there for you if you need them. You guys are the BEST !!!!!!!! We decided ourselves to put solar energy in. It`s something that we felt would benefit us/environment and be cost effective for us. We are so happy that we put this system in and it`s working out great. We are seeing the benefits right now on our power bills. American Solar Electric researched APS to see what the rebate would be for us.. we had no clue so you can see they really worked to help us and made our experience with them go very smoothly... Next thing we knew... we were up and running..being our own power plant.. HOORAY !!!!

American Solar did a great job from start to finish. There were no surprises along the way and they made the process very easy. They handled all of the permit and application filings with the City and APS. The install crew was great as well. Very professional and conscientious about working around our house. They also spent time explaining what the process was and again, no surprises. The system has been performing up to (and on some days, above) expectations. One of the best recommendations came from the APS inspector when I asked him about his experience with American Solar installations. His response was “It’s rare we have any issues with their installations”. As a customer, that’s very reassuring. Great job.

It was so easy that I am considering adding solar to our rental home. I grew up in New Mexico where solar power has been tinkered with for the past 40 years. I figured it was time to reduce my carbon footprint and I am happy that I will, in the long term, save some money too.

My only wish was that the overall explanation of the solar power process could be more easily explained. Maybe something like a `Solar Power for Dummies` book? I had heard about solar power a long time ago. As I get older, I am getting `greener` and I just wanted to do something for the environment. I live in Arizona and I think it`s almost criminal to waste the sun`s energy.

the utility has net billing and not net metering it was my own initiative that was the primary influence
