I was also scammed. Purchased panels 11/2021 and the company filed for bankruptcy 1/2022. I have an attorney I’m working with to settle my case. We got scammed in 2022. I’ve called everyone on earth involved in this scam round and round to get answers and responsibility. I found out that the financing company “took over” the contract. And they claim it’s their responsibility to fulfill it - including all the clauses about refunds and maintenance. BUT the financing company “doesn’t have” the contract or any of the clauses. And we had our copy on a link that went dead. If anyone has a pdf copy of their alternative solar contract and can email it to me, I can start fighting back against the company and get some money back. Happy to help in return with all the info I have gathered over two years fighting this BS.

Alternative Solar did a awful job. They have holes in my roof and they signed me with GoodLeap Loan. 30,000 loan. I pray that a class action suit comes out of this.

I'm having trouble with my panels and no one knows how to fix it. I call and email them and no answer so when the power goes out, I'm in the dark like everyone else. Bastards!!!

All lies: the sign up bonus, the rebate check from the government, the elimination of my light bill. The company filed for bankruptcy and I’m stuck with the bill and paying what I used to pay for power plus the loan now to GoodLeap.

Same boat as everyone else. Conned into purchasing solar panels that all sounds great but in the end worked totally different than described. Especially the solar credits part and being "penalized" by the loan company. Now system is out and this company was supposed to "warranty" the system and repair it for the next 10 years. I would like to join you in a lawsuit against Alternative Solar. They sold me solar panels then went out of business and now I still have a high light bill. My rating for them would be a zero overall!

As it appears we are all in the same situation. We need to file a mass tort or class action lawsuit. I had my panels installed in March of 2022 and they are still inoperable. Goodleap has employed Green Lancer to assist but I have still dealt with being pawned off to different solar companies who have still not been able to complete the job.

Installed solar in 2022 roof started leaking on 2023. Company is out of business had to spend $6000 to fix it. I am not sure if their warranty is transferred to another company.

Lied about rebate which never got. Still paying high electricity bill with panels. Don’t answer phone when trying to call. Another rip off company . Would not recommend theses sorry asses to even the hamas. Crooks of America.

Back in 2019 Alternative Solar reached out to me for Solar Panels and like everyone here I went with it. Installation was no problem and never had an issues with them until today. Noticed my CPS bill was way higher than normal. Come to find out my system only generated 97 Kw which is extremely low compared to the previous month of 410 Kw. Was going to reach out come for assistance to find out looks like everyone got scammed. Not sure what to do now but if anyone wants to move forward with a class action lawsuit I be glad to contribute to the cause!

We hired Alternative Solar to install our solar panels in June of 2022. It has been a nightmare ever since! We did not get the panels up and running until October, and then, they neglected.to tell us we had to contact the electric company to set up the solar with them. We finally figured it out, but now some of our panels are.not reporting! So, if anyone knows of a lawsuit being filed, count me in!!

Noticed system stopped working. Went to call and find out they are out of business. Went through Enphase who monitors system they got me In touch with an installer to come out and troubleshoot. However that’s not the issue. Discovered I have been paying for 9 panels for a year and only have 6 on my roof. So have reached out to goodleap to find out how this gets fixed. Guess we know why they are out of business. I hope to get some resolve though. Just so upset at this point

I had Alternative Solar come out and install the solar panels. Like others, I have had leaks in my roof and Good Leap also has had nothing good to say about help. Am also seeking to file a lawsuit. They were amazing at 1st any issues that came up were resolved quickly but then I tried calling today and number disconnected.. Went to my Enlightening and I see I'm now with Approved Electrical Solar LLC. I have no idea who they are, I tried calling but the number is not in service so I sent them an email from their website. Now I have a system not reporting to the app, can't get it to resync, a panel flew off the roof last night, & I think the panels on the north side of my roof is getting damaged and don't know who to contact. I'm pretty sure my wife left a review as well, but what the hell. Our panels did finally get turned on (installed in april of 22, turn on in dec 22) and they seem to be working OK so far. The whole solar tax credit thing is a bust, but mostly I'm just furious that the idiots who installed them ruined my roof. We've had multiple leaks since the people they sent to install the panels went on our roof and now that they're out of business I guess I just get to eat the cost of fixing this? 10 year installation warranty is what they told us when we signed up. Oh they also said they were going to come do a free HVAC cleaning and tune up not to mention "24hr monitoring" of our system. I assumed all that was why they charge double what the actual equipment would cost. I've been searching, but I don't see anything about a lawsuit.

I have had my panels for a couple of years and I never saw my savings. Maybe $40 to $50 less but the monthly for the panels went up after a year so maybe just a few dollars less than what I was paying. Never able to get in touch with anyone. Back in August 2020 I got these panels installed but didn’t have them tuned on until April 2021 only because I was the one calling Alternative solar and CPS everyday to see what the hold up was. To sum it all up my roof began to leak on our new home due to the panels that were not installed correctly, they patched the roof but not the damage inside of the walls and now out of business. I too have had a bad experience with nothing but deceit from this company I get on average 40 to 50 dollar credit from my electrical company for going solar but still pay most of my electrical bill plus the cost of the panels...overall I'm paying close to double what I was paying before going solar...and now these idiots are bankrupt..I too am interested if anyone is starting a lawsuit...my email is jsanchez4040@gmail.com...thank you

I now have major leaks in my roof since they installed my panels back on 9/2021. I did not know they went out of business, so I guess my warranty is just toilet paper now. If someone is suing them please contact me as well.

Lourdes San Antonio Took them 8 months to get my panels working and now having problems with my roof and my house was build in 2021.the installation was not done properly and the decided to close. It was a headache since day one. Oh also having problems with battery as well. If anyone is going after them I’m in as well. They have to pay for all the damages they have caused!

It’s been since March 2022 and still no product or service. The company has filed for bankruptcy and goodleap is asking for payment for a complete product that I don’t have and services I can’t use. Now I’m having to pay for an attorney.

I…like others have the same complaint as far as length of time it took for the panels to be put on and lack of communication and competency during the process . I could never get ahold of anyone, and if I did, there were no real answers. I finally got a hold of the owner but he just kept putting me off. Now the panels are not producing what they said they would produce and the company is bankrupt and we have nowhere to turn. Now I know why the owner was just putting me off as he knew he was going to file. Seeking legal counsel to possibly go after the company and or Goodleap. Has anyone had any luck? I’m stuck with paying for CPS energy bill, as well as solar panel bills to Goodleap. A complete scam and Goodleap is as much at fault as they are aware of these kind of installers yet do nothing about it. Count me in if anybody has found great legal counsel.

After a via crusis to complete the installation and commissioning of my panels which "only" took 8 months to complete, now I have roof issues and come to find out that this "company" has gone out of business. I see some comments bellow about class actioning both Alternative and Goodleap for which I'm for and will be monitoring in case it goes through to be a part of.

Like a few others here, I have gotten nothing but grief from this company. It's been 11 months of nothing, now they have gone out of business. For the couple who has started or are going to start the class action suit count myself in. I would still like to go Solar, now I have to find a solid company to come and finish what was started. I to have to have my roof repaired, thankfully it is on my back deck on not the roof of the house. I regret doing business with them, they put me in a contract, installed the panels, and closed their doors they suddenly went out of business, and the panels are not even connected to my house.

They put solar panels on our roof but never connected the electrical and lied and said they got city permits. No permits, no electrical has been done. Now Goodleap says we owe for money because we have solar panels. No we have paper weights on our roof!

Hello so it looks like we are all in the same boat here! I have roof repairs that need done, solar panels that do not work, solar panel skirts never received, and have been paying for the solar since 10/01/22. The finance company that I went through is Dividend Finance. This company referes me back to Alternative Solar. Alternative Solar has filed Backruptcy and is rebranding. I signed up for solar in March 2022 and still don't have my system complete 10 months later. But, I have been paying for the panels for 8 months. The panels were installed in April 2022. The electrical wasn't finished until September. I have been getting the run around for months saying the were scheduling my inspection. They scheduled the inspection for Friday, January 13, 2023. Of course, no one showed up. I called before 4:00 and no one would answer the phone. No one responded to emails either. The website has been changed so you can't get to any information. I wonder if they have finally gone out of business.

We first signed our contract in March of 2022 and our panels, now January 2023, still have an issue with “gateway meter”. They were not even turned on until December 2022, yet we still paid from June 2022. We have just been paying solar plus electricity, but I trusted the guy that sold them to us, as I knew him personally. I have seriously considered getting a lawyer involved with this company because they do not do right by their customers.

In less than a year my panels quit twice. Again they quit. They produce nothing and the company will not even answer the phone. $38,000 for nothing. Stay away from Alternative Solar. It's a rip off.

I feel Goodleap is just as responsible as Alternative!!! They are funding a worthless company and then want payment. As a consumer we are stuck in the middle. They put leans on our homes for non payments. They state they are just the bank. However this is just like a "Lemon law" for car. We were all sold a product that does not work. This company is horrible! I can never get ahold of anyone. We signed up for solar back in July and it's January and we don't have working panels yet. You can't fix stupid and these people are STUPID. No one ever has answers. You will go in circles with these people. I would go into details but all that would do would reiterate the same shenanigans others have already been through. Cliffs Notes: They ordered the wrong panels, ruined my roof, changed plans in the middle of installation, had to repair our roof, had to resubmit plans to the city, and had to resubmit our CPS rebate, I've made multiple payments on not working panels, thousands of phone calls and emails, and truly the most frustrating purchase I've ever made. I HATE THIS COMPANY. Pretty confident they went under and are "merging" with another solar company and in the meantime I need to hang tight and continue to pay for non-working panels. LOVELY. If anyone is putting together a class-action lawsuit, please let me know!

This company has an F rating from BBB, stay away if you want to keep your sanity. Like many others on here I share a similar story. Contract was signed in September 2022 & here we are January 2023 and my electrcial work hasn't been done. Countless calls to customer service, whom schedule appointments and the technicians won't show up or even call to say they're not able to make it. I don't even know if my panels will produce anything since they're not even wired. VERY infuriating. I went to see a lawyer and was advised to go to the DA for my county and to push it up all the way to the AG since there is plenty of evidence of consumers who have been left in the dark by this company. PLEASE BE WARE OF THESE PEOPLE!

I installed sollar 5 month back, it’s operatinal from last two months and they already made me to pay 3 installment. I didn’t see any difference in my utility bill, it’s same with or without it. I complained 100 times to send technician to check. They didn’t and I am paying two bills now. Just wondering if I can file case among this lier and thugs. Please suggest how can I do it. It spoil my house roof and money.

Stay away from this company had my panels installed January 2018 and to this day January 2023 my panels have yet to be working 100%. They do not call back they do not respond to emails they are horrible at communicating with you and to top it all off we are paying for the panels And paying a high electricity bill and they messed up my roof my gutters and do not want to do anything about it or do not want to take responsibility for it. I am beyond frustrated I went on the business better bureau and reported them and of course they responded but once the case was closed yet again no response from email call back or text . they have also replaced my inverter three times they’ve been up on top of my roof maybe about 10 times so my roof has damaged from where they’re on and off my roof they’ve had to add four additional panels because they said that my 42 panels were not producing for my home which is 2300 ft.² but other Solar companies tell me that I should be Wayover producing with that many panels so now I have 46 panels on my house still have an electric bill over $200 plus what I have to pay for my panels. Now they’re telling me that I could call solar edge to see about replacing my panels because they don’t want to replace them and not even a year that we’ve had these panels when we called they were already telling us that my panels were outdated but yet they had just sold us our panels and now they’re telling us they’re outdated and they want us to pay for reinstall and uninstall of old and new panels which is ridiculous I’ve been fighting with this company since day one if there was a way for me to get out of it I would. I would stay away from this company they are worthless they do not compensate you for anything they do not fix anything all they are is to make money and nothing else they’re not there to help you when something goes wrong.

Although there have been some delays in getting my panels operational. I understand there are outside factors that affect the installation process, such as delays in inspections, review of plans etc. However I recently have been in contact with Toni who has been most helpful in answering the questions I had and researching some other issues related to my installation. She has been most helpful in easing my concerns and I appreciate her timely response to my questions. Hopefully with her assistance the process can continue in a timely and efficient manner.

This is the worst company I have ever done business with. Over the last 6 months I have had 6 sets of contractors at my home, still no service. Everyone at the company tells lies and blames the previous crew. My roof is damaged and sometimes leaks when it rains. They asked one of the electricians to survey my roof for damages. When calling the company the response is always you have an appointment tomorrow, which of course no one shows. Has to be part of the telephone script. I have been paying for the service for 4 months with no service. No one has reached out to me to refund or address my concerns. Best part yet, they installed my panels after dark with no lighting. I was told that they probably used their cell phone lights to see, and was asked did I know that cell phone lights are pretty bright. Not happy or satisfied. Will be consulting my attorney.

Purchased in 12/2019 during installation broke a waterline. Workers used the restroom outside and left toilet paper for my animals to find and get into. What a mess. Really did not have any problems until this year 7/22. Had a tornado and had to have a new roof which meant the solar panels would have to be taken off and reinstalled. 4 had to be purchased and replaced due to the tornado. The company ordered black panels instead of silver and that would be okay. That was not okay. It took a month to get the correct panels. 4 crews later and we are now in 10/22 the system is not functioning properly and the crew that reinstalled the panels damaged my new roof. I call at least twice a week and get the same results. We are trying to find someone to come look at your system and the system is still not working. Meanwhile I am paying a solar panel payment and a $550 electric bill monthly payment. Stay away from this company they will make you crazy with frustration and cause your blood pressure to go through the roof!!!!!
