Alltech Solar

Unreliable. Had them put some panels on the house a few years back, it went fine. Last fall I contracted with them to add a battery, EV charger, and a few more panels. It did not go fine: six months later I still don't have a functional system and nobody at Alltech will explain what's going on. Alltech has either stopped caring or lost whomever the competent employees were. The main issue is Alltech doesn't bother to check if the equipment they're bolting to your house is actually compatible w/ SDG&E's infrastructure. I (no expertise at all in this area) was able to get online and see from the ICA maps that our transformer is already at capacity. Alltech doesn't view this five minutes of professional diligence as worth their time. So they took our money, and stuck some equipment on our property, which now can't be used as intended for some TBD amount of time. Chase said this keeps happening to his customers and he doesn't understand why, I wonder how many times it'll have to happen before he starts to wonder if the problem is Alltech's process. I'd love to give more detail, but (even though we're still under contract) Alltech has stopped answering my questions or even my emails. Alltech also never bothered to properly register our Powerwall under the correct account (after being asked to many times), so I can't see the battery status in the app or tell if it's working. There's a battery on our house, and it hums sometimes, but I have no idea if it's providing us any power because Alltech didn't finish the job. Finally, they also forgot to switch on the EV charger after installing it, and Chase threw a fit when I suggested he come back and make it operational. Very much a minor point compared to the non-functional battery system, but it fits with general attitude of Alltech: we've got your money, whether the equipment works is your problem. I'll update this if they ever come through with a resolution. We were happy with the original solar install years ago and are confused how the company seems to have fallen apart by 2025-26. But as far as I can tell right now this is an unreliable company that does not stand by their work, and you avoid them.

The whole team was great from my initial call through the planning and the installation process. I wished I found out about Alltech sooner. After years of grinding numbers and multiple estimates, "as a X general contractor myself I even considered installing my own system" Alltech came in at a reasonable install labor/material cost. My project was not a big project. It was to add 4kWh to my existing system along with Franklin aPower 2 battery backup. I had a lot of questions. Ken, my point of contact, was patient and went through all my questions and made sure he addressed them. I was going back and forth between to different configurations and my wife was concerned about installation and warranty. All questions were answered. When install day came, everyone was super professional. Kept the work area clean. Got the work done and cleaned up after themselves every day. More questions from me every day. Everyone stopped what they were doing and explained things to my satisfaction. For the most part communications was prompt, and clear. There was nothing left to the imagination. The only part that might a neutral point was post sale questions regarding the battery program. I couldn't figure out how to make the system export and wanted to make sure it met the battery rebate program's discharge requirements. I eventually figured out how make my system discharge back to the grid. I also configured via the app to manually discharge from 08:30 to 09:00 PM. After scouring the internet, I found out that SDCC DERMS software will automatically pull. All automagically. Pricing was fair. It was hard to compare apples to apples as while the system size was the same, it was different brands. I didn't find another Franklin reseller / installer for me to compare. At the end of the day, really like my new systems and no major complaints. Thanks AllTech Solar team!

Alltech Solar did a incredible job installing my 16.1kW solar system with 40kWh Enphase batteries. Everything was handled: on-site inspection, quote, permits, So Cal Edison, city inspection, and final sign off. It was a very smooth process. The entire Alltech team was outstanding in their work and genuinely a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend using Alltech Solar.

Great Company!

These guys, from the salesman Ken, to the installers Chase, Stephen, and Nacho were great throughout the process. Even though it was about a three month process, no fault of theirs (city approval), the installation was quick, professional, and clean. I had gotten two other bids, this one sold me. Price was good, the salesman talked straight and answered all of my questions. Small company but very good and efficient. I really recommend these guys. And I don't give recommendations often. You want be disappointed.

Best products, service and cost

Alltech was very patient as we went back and forth to choose the best company for us. I really liked at the end of the calls they always asked do we understand all the products and how they work. They even helped configure our system to support an electric truck. Showed up on time, clean and professional.

This was the second home we have used Alltech for solar. If I need solar again, they will be my first call. We also recommend them.

Could not be happier!

This was the second time we used Alltech Solar. We moved and had solar installed at our new home. As with the first installation, we found Altech Solar to be professional, reasonably priced, efficient and extremely tidy. The workplace was left completely cleaned up each day and the job was completed on time, with each step explained and followed up on. We would highly recommend them.

Exactly what I asked for.

Had my system installed several years ago. I have a great south facing roof but its on the front of my house. Alltech was able to squeeze all the panels I needed on a smaller roof but I still get all the same great benefits. Now when I drive down my street I only get a glimpse of the panels, I am so pleased with how everything went and how it looks. I even had them come back this year to remove the panels so I could get a new roof.
