Alba Energy

Made several calls to this company to fix an issue, they always say "someone is going to call you back" and they never do. It has been 6 months and they still have not called me back.

I’ve been an Alba solar energy customer for some years now and have not had any problems until now. 2 of my panels are not working and I have not been able to actually talk with anyone . I have gone through the answering service they transfer me to someone but no one ever answers. Take down my information and then get an email from someone but that person seems to only answer emails every so often ? So do I recommend Alba Solar energy to anyone right now …

We turned on our solar system on October 30, 2018. Satisfied with Sheldon Wilkinson and Sara with all of their help from the get go. Sheldon answer all of our questions. He has taken the time to stop by to check on us. I'm very satisfied with our system. It is a positive investment. 100% Satisfied with Alba Energy.

Our journey into solar started with a knock on the door. Brenda gave us a thorough explanation as to how solar energy might be right for us, and presented us with a well thought out and balanced plan. In the long run, we save money and we add value to our home, all while reducing our carbon footprint. As our interface with Alba Energy, this awesome door-knocker Brenda worked with us every step of the way, through determining if solar panels were right for us, working with our tight schedules during installation, through inspection, and finally (yay!) activation. Though the timeline from installation (August) to activation (October) was a bit longer than we had anticipated, we have been thrilled with the customer service we have gotten from Brenda and Alba Energy Katy. The panels are practically invisible. I can't wait to see our new energy bill.

Got our panels installed, and they are up an running. So excited to be generating solar electricity. Abraham worked with us closely answering tons and tons of general, and then very specific "what if" questions in the weeks prior to deciding we wanted to move forward. No pressure, just informative, while we made our decision. Very transparent. We ultimately decided it was a win-win, and went forward. It really is not expensive! I originally met with Alba Energy over a year ago but like many other people I was skeptical, the "too good to be true" sirens were going off, so naturally I decided to wait. 3 rate increases later enough was enough, I called them back to see if they could give our home a second look and could not believe they remembered me! After meeting with one of their representatives and going over everything we didn't hesitate to pull the trigger this time! What impressed me the most was the level of communication they had with me, I would consider myself needy so their willingness to help every step of the way has been amazing. I started researching solar a year before we had our system installed. I talked to literally 20 different companies and got quotes from 5. Two of the companies (Alba being one and this grumpy old codger guy being the other) quoted me what turned out to be the correct system size, the other three oversold how many panels my roof would fit by about double. Graeme at Alba answered my questions (and I had lots of them) quickly and concisely. When I finally decided to proceed with Alba, they walked me through the paperwork, including making sure I got what I needed from my HOA and dealing with Velocity Credit Union (which was not fun). I needed my system installed by the end of the year for tax reasons and they were able to get it done from signing to installation in a matter of weeks. The install was quick and I actually didn't even realize they were here at first. They left no trace besides the actual system. On the tax credits, a lot of the companies I talked to calculated my federal tax credit based on the entire cost of the system - even amounts covered by other rebates. Alba explained that instead of inflating the size of the federal tax credit so I didn't get any surprises when I filed my taxes. Overall, a great experience. The system is producing as promised and I like the monitoring app that let's me see how each panel is functioning. They've also been really responsive with questions I've had after the fact! Definitely would recommend!

Incentives, rebates, making your own electricity, whats not love about going solar. Cannot say enough great things about this company. At every step of the way we always had someone to help/guide us, nothing was ever hidden, everything explained well and exceeded our energy needs. Amazing feeling putting power back on the grid and saving money to boot. On they day of the scheduled install we were only without power for 4hours. They finished that day and CPS was given 2weeks to certify and activate after the notification. Now able monitor overall production and performance of each element and with the energy packet we got I can now find my troublesome appliances/devices that are using to much energy. My biggest advice I can give regardless who you go with, do the homework, get a few quotes and be truthful.

Alba Energy was communicative and professional every step of the way. I really didn't know what to expect when we decided to move forward with solar panels and solar panel installation. But, I'm really glad that Alba Energy was the company that we went with. They are efficient in the installation process and have communicated with us regarding every step of the way! I highly recommend this company!

Alba has a great sales person Jennifer took my electric bill and came up with my solar panel needs. . My electric meter has been running backwards since the install. The installers are very professional and very proud of their work I was impressed with the outcome.

This is my second installation with Alba Energy and this one was very difficult due to variances required and having to deal with Sunset Valley and the City of Austin. Without Alba Energy's help the project would have not even been possible. They handled everything with both cities and Austin Energy. Once they got the approvals in place, Alba shepherded the project from design to installation. They installed a large system for me which was complicated by having to place the panels on a structure 150+ feet from the electric panel. Everyone at the company was super helpful and their customer service is unmatched in today's times. Alba charges very competitive prices and you can trust that the system they design and build will be effective, efficient, and at the right price. I can't wait to do another system with Alba.

Excellent Service

I had been looking at installing Solar for some time but had been put off by a company giving me far too much sales pitch and not enough facts. Alba Energy just took a years electric bills then came and presented a proposal giving me all the facts and benefits. There install was on time, professional with helpful team. there were no hitches. When the Austin Energy inspector came he was most impressed with the install and took time to point out their workmanship. He said it was one of the best installs he had seen. The follow up has been excellent and I would happily recommenced them to me friends and neighbors (which I have already done) with no concerns

We had a 7kW solar panel system installed by Alba Energy in late January, and can’t say enough good things about these guys. We did our research and had 3 other companies give us proposals and meet with us. From the very first call with Alba, we had a much more comfortable feeling than with other companies we had spoken with. They seemed more focused on helping us make an informed and educated choice rather than just sell. Tyler, our sales consultant, talked us through the proposed main components of our system (LG panels and Solar Edge inverters) and explained the reasons behind Alba’s recommendation of these products/manufacturers. The final price for the system was comparable to the other companies (with the exception of one who was clearly a low-price, low-quality outfit), and that made the decision to go with Alba a no-brainer. Alba helped with all the paperwork for the Austin Energy Solar Rebate, the Financing Application and even worked with our HOA to ensure that our system met their design requirements. Other than sign a few documents, we barely had to lift a finger. Amanda and Kelsey were really helpful in keeping us informed throughout the process and making sure we had realistic expectations around timelines. When it came to the install day, the crew did a great job. Tomas, the project manager, talked me through the basics of how the installation would work and how the main components operate. The installation only took around 6 hours, and the crew were tidying up and getting ready to leave by mid-afternoon. I was really impressed with the professionalism of everybody who worked on the solar system. I’ve had plenty of contractors work on my property in the past, and these guys were amongst the best. All the little details like clean company trucks, matching uniform and safety equipment showed that they truly cared about their work. They left my property immaculately clean. About 2 weeks later Alba came back out for the Austin Energy inspection, which passed without issue. This allowed them to turn the system on and connect my monitoring system. All in all, great experience, great company. Looking forward to years of savings on my electric bill.

From San Antonio, I called Alba in Austin, TX. Tyler Miller explained and walked me through the whole energy/solar process. He was quite patient with me and did not try to up sale particulars that I really did not need. I received the correct system for my home. To make a long story short paying $32.00 a month is a lot better than paying more than $200.00 a month for grid energy.

The Team at Alba Energy is top-notch! They are not only knowledgeable, but guide you through the process in a professional and courteous way. BEST Contractor experience I ever had !!!!!!!! I wanted to take advantage of the solar rebates and solar tax credits so i contacted seven different solar companies.  Most didn't even get back to us. Alba Energy contacted us right away. The salesman, Kyle started the education process going thru the many options available . He was very knowledgeable and patient. He even came out to my house several times bringing the chief electrician who climbed on the roof to measure the space and angles need for the design, then a third time to bring the project director who walked the entire site to make sure everything in the design would work. We went through 5 or 6 different redesigns to make sure I was satisfied and getting the best system to meet my needs and price range. I actually ended up putting all the panels on a remote building to get a larger system to supply my house. Alba even helped me get financing with Sun Gage solar loans..  Alba got started right away after contracts were signed online. They kept me updated on the everything, and did all the paperwork needed to get the solar rebates through Oncor and the system approved.  They even set it up so that I can check the output from my system online and with an app on my smart phone. i am very happy with our solar system and with their work. They are highly recommended.

I chose Alba Energy for solar on my home in Austin because of a recommendation from a past client. They lived up to my expectations. Chris Burton did a walkthrough with me on the solar panel installation and came through with everything he promised. It was easy to work with all of the staff. Every bill I've had since February has been negative, allowing me to build my credits for the expensive summer months. The solar system is producing even more than what had been estimated.

I installed 36 solar panels on my home in November of 2015. The company that installed them, Alba Energy, did a fantastic job. In January my electric bill was $8.00. In Feb and March the local electric company owed me $20.00! I did have an issue with a panel last month and Alba completed the repair within two days. Outstanding customer service!!!

It was a long road from the thought of going solar , to today having my installation in my rear view mirror. This journey has allowed me to spend time/working with 4 different companies. We did a lot of homework before purchasing a 7.7K system, including a thorough review of several companies in the area. Must admit, we were at first a little apprehensive about considering a "new" company but knew from our homework that Alba was formed in our area when Circular spun off its residential activities. Alba did an excellent job throughout the process, including helping us choose the right size system, best value components for our application, and most efficient connection to our power. Their communication throughout the process was excellent. We highly recommend them.

Very professional!

Very knowledgeable solar installation company located in Austin, Texas. Unlike other solar organizations, Alba Energy does not subcontract their work, but rather uses the same in-house electricians and install crews on every project.

After tiring of high utility bills and researching the generous rebates and tax incentives available, my husband and I decided to look into solar. Alba Energy provided us with detailed proposals for two different systems and all the information we needed to make the decision to go with the larger system. Once we gave them the go-ahead, they proceeded with all the paperwork necessary for the rebates and permitting. They partner with a company that offers low-interest financing so our out-of-pocket cost was $0. The process actually took much less time than I was anticipating. Once the permits were secured, the installation took 3 days. The crew showed up promptly each day, were extremely professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, dedicated (it rained on the first day and instead of packing up and leaving, they waited until the rain passed, the roof dried out a little and they were right back to work) and very neat. Upon leaving each day, they cleaned up the area so well I wouldn’t even have known they were there. After installation, an Alba representative came and inspected the system to ensure it was ready for the CPS inspection, which occurred less than two weeks later. The CPS inspection went smoothly and they turned on the system. For the first time ever I am looking forward to my next utility bill! The entire process with Alba Energy was extremely smooth and uncomplicated. They kept in contact on a regular basis to let me know what was happening when and have also followed up after installation several times to make sure we were happy with the process and installation. Their level of expertise and professionalism is top-notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is considering going solar.

Alba did a great job on a 70kW install on our complex in San Antonio. This was a tricky install on a large flat roof. They talked us through the various options for attaching the system to our roof, and coordinated with our roofer to make sure their installation would be covered in the roof warranty. The system was installed on time and under budget by the highly professional installation team. All rebate paperwork and permits were handled by their admin team, meaning that there were no headaches for us.

We’ve had a solar system on our apartment complex for a couple of years, and wanted to add more panels. We received quotes from a number of installers, including the company who installed the original system. Alba’s proposal was far and away the most professional we received. They clearly outlined the financial implications and benefits we could expect from our solar system, and gave us a range of options for our installation. They worked closely with us during the design phase and helped design the best system for our power needs. The system was installed by their great construction crew in less time than they had quoted. Most impressively, they were able to install a wifi system which links all the solar systems across our campus together (including those installed by the other company). This means we can analyze the power production from each of our systems at any time. I am happy to recommend them to anyone who asks about our solar system. They are a joy to work with.

We had Alba install a 105kW system on our apartment complex in DFW. Having worked with other solar companies in the past, we knew what to look for in their proposals and presentations. Given the size of the system, we wanted to make sure that Alba were capable of such a complex installation. The fact that they are a registered engineering firm was important to us in evaluating their abilities. Their installation team were fantastic, and extremely courteous to our property management staff. Again, knowing that their installers were all full time employees of the company was important to us (most other solar companies just subcontract this part out). Great company to deal with, and we’ll definitely be working with them again in future.

I highly recommend Alba Energy to anyone looking for a professional solar installer. We had them bid on a highly complex carport solar solution we wanted to install. Not only was their bid the most competitive, their knowledge of the engineering and construction really shone through in the preliminary meetings with their design team. Alba designed, permitted and installed 3 carport structures for our tenants to park under, and installed the solar on top of the carports. The installations look great, and have really made a difference to our electric bills.
