Affordable Home Solar

Efficient, Professional and Affordable

Perfect service provided from start to end! Meo worked with me to come up with a solution tailor to my situation. Very happy with the system installed and the support I got.

Very professional and informative

The whole process was seamless, from the quotation to the installation.Through out the process i was constantly updated on the progress and any changes that might need my input. Quotation: It literally took me one call and couple of email exchanges to get a quote. The same process took me months and nightmarish car dealership style negotiations with other companies. Parts: I was given a installation date and everything was ready by then. 2-4 weeks usually. Meo, promptly contacted me a week after signing the contract to let me know the qcell i was interested in might not be available on time because of back order and he suggested he can order a better panel without any extra cost if i wanted to get the system installed on time. (Or) I could wait for the original panels in contract. Installation - Took less than one day. Post-installation - Meo, handled permits and was in constant communication with us to keep us informed. Everything went smoothly The work was clean, professional and prompt. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat for anyone.

Affordable Home Solar

AHS is the cat's meow!!! This company is awesome and lives up to its name. Meo is a one man shop and he does it all. That is why we chose him. I met with a lot of known companies before accepting the bid from him. I felt he was personable, honest and reliable. He not only came with a reasonable bid but also customized the solar panels to our specifications. He is very professional and gets all of the paperwork done: city permit and interconnection with PG & E. It was a very smooth process without any glitches. He also did the installation himself. You can not get better service anywhere else. I would recommend Meo whole heartedly. You get a big name store quality product/service at affordable prices that is customizable to your needs.

Small company but great service

We selected Affordable Home Solar for our solar panel roofing after interviewing a number of Solar companies. Meo gave a comprehensive explanation of solar systems and the pros and cons of the top few systems. He was very punctual about his appointments and installation - in fact he completed BEFORE his scheduled time. His quote was lower than that of the other larger companies. Although it is a very small company, he is able to run it very smoothly. I hope that does not change if and when it gets bigger!

Great Service with Competitive pricing

Recently Meo from Affordable Home Solar installed solar panels at my house. I am glad I selected Meo to do the Solar installation project at my house. His price was very competitive. Meo is very knowledgeable Solar installation professional. He was quick and informed me with all the processes. He is reliable, flexiable and easy to work with. Meo got the City permit approval and PG&E approval quickly. I highly recommend Meo for Solar installation project.

Very good service

Meo from Affordable Home Solar installed solar at my house. I am quite happy with his service, professionalism and flexibility. He was quite quick and kept me informed. He also took care of all formalities with the city regarding permit, inspection etc. I had a great time working with meo.

Competitive pricing

We recently had our solar panel system installed by Meo (through a great referral :-)). We were extremely happy to have him take care of this critical house upgrade that we had been putting off for a few years since they are so many companies out there and hard to tell which one is truly good and reliable. So great referral is the way to do it with competitive pricing!!! Meo is very knowledgeable. He finished all the pre-work before came prepared to our first appointment for sizing determination, roof-top measurement to determine the best mounting location, and checking out the electrical panel for its readiness. He took care of all the permit logistics and inspection, which made our life very easy, save time, and no hassle. Meo is very professional and organized. They were extra careful, and they delivered an absolute beautiful solar system within a day!!! After the installation, Meo followed up tightly to ensure our solar account is created and all pending PG&E paperwork and process were completed. He sent us an email once we were successfully registered with PG&E. I highly recommend Affordable Home Solar service!!!

Price is reasonable and affordable for solar installation

I installed my solar system by Meo. He is really professional and well planned. He will spend the site visit to explain the work and how much time that it might need. Normally, one day is enough unless you have massive solar panel to install or your roof is tile material. Work is superior and he is knowledgable. Would definitely suggest him to my friends for solar installation.

Meo and AHS are fantastic

I couldn't be happier with Meo and the entire home solar installation process. Great price, great service, great work! Great working with "the man" who had all the expertise instead; of talking to a sales guy up-front and having different installers show up and do the work.

AHS, Honest and Reliable Company

I would rate Affordable Home Solar with 6 stars for their honesty and reliability, but the maximum allowed is only 5 stars. I am glad I had my home’s solar installed by Affordable Home Solar. I wanted to say that Meo was very easy to work with and he is very experienced at what he does. He makes every effort to get me a high performing solar system at minimal cost. Meo is flexible with installation schedule and he was able to accommodate my schedule. The installation was completed in 1 day as scheduled. I would recommend Affordable Home Solar (ask for Meo) to those who are seeking to get a solar system for their home and to give these guys a call. They are honest and an experienced company. ken

AHS and Meo installed a perfect 10.9 kW PV System

We installed a 10.9 kW system in South San Jose, CA with Meo and the team from Affordable Home Solar . He successfully bid against two other vendors for a SolarEdge 10kW HD Wave inverter and 37 Hanwha Q CELLS Q.PEAKBLKG4.1-295 modules with SolarEdge DC optimizers. Another vendor was a very close second at only $1,000 more but, in the end, I felt that Meo's personal involvement in the project outweighed the longer systems warranty from the other vendors. The best part of the experience for me was being part of the install. I learned how my system works from the lag screws in the joists all the way down to how the inverter connects to my electrical panel.

Great service throughout - before, during and after installation

I second all reviews Meo has so far. Affordable Home Solar was recommended by several of my colleagues to me. I got a few quotes from large solar companies just for comparison. Not only Meo's quote was the lowest per watt but also the technology was much superior i.e., micro-inverters, higher watts per panel. The professionalism has been commendable before and during the installation. A few months after, one of the micro-inverters stopped working. Meo immediately placed an order for replacement and kept us updated throughout the replacement process. We highly recommend Affordable Home Solar!

Great Value and Service

Meo's professionalism and service is second to none. His team did a thorough job installing the panels and I couldn't be happier that I not only saved money, but have a contractor that I will go to for future upgrades.

Professional and Affordable Service

When making a big purchase, I am in a habit of doing thorough research, make a spreadsheet, compare all the options etc. before making any decision. Installing solar panels at my house was no different. I talked to six different vendors, got quotes from them and compared what they were offering. When I talked to Meo, I was pleasantly surprised with his depth of knowledge and ability to explain technical details in plain language. He patiently answered all my questions and put me at ease with respect to the concerns I had. He was completely transparent with the total cost. His quote was the best and by far the most affordable. He got the work done as per the schedule and took care of all the inspections and the paperwork with PG&E. It's been a little above a year since my installation, and I haven't had any issue so far. Even today, if I have a question for Meo, he is always very quick to respond.

Fantastic - one of the best contractors I've worked with

Meo is fantastic! His prices were fair, he was always on time, set expectations correctly, and he and his crew did a thorough job while installing the panels. I would highly recommend his services. Solar City was difficult to work with. They quoted high prices initially and I had to work on them to get the price down that cost me a lot of time. Finally, they refused to do the job as we have metal shingles. Sunrun was a disaster; they quoted extremely high unit prices and configured an oversized system. Meo on the other hand clearly explained why we needed the size he recommended and quoted a fair per Watt price right from the get-go, making it much nicer to work with him.

Great service

Meo is very professional. He gave me same system that I got quoted from other company and save me $8000. Finish the job on time. If you shopping around for solar system, just give him chances bid on the job. It will save you some money and support small business owner. Note Bigger company doesn’t mean you get better service. I was very happy with his service.

Prompt and Efficient

I had my roof replaced and my existing solar needed to come down while the work was being done. Meo responded to my questions quickly and got his work done on time. While he was doing the work, he recommended that we move some of the panels from a flat section of roof to a minor pitch to prevent issues with mounting on a flat roof (which I did). He also recommended that we upgrade our power inverter, which I did not, and he did not was not pushy about it. He also let me know that it wouldn't be financially worth while to add more panels so we didn't do that either. I also recommended Affordable Home Solar to my neighbor, and she was also very happy with their service. I would definitely use AHS again.

Affordable Options for Home Solar

We were referred to Affordable Home Solar from a family member and we're glad that we gave them a call. We had gotten quotes from two other vendors and found that Affordable Home Solar gave us more options at various price points. Because of the options presented, we were able to select a system that met our requirements for energy output (6+ kWh) at a reasonable price. They also recommended a MLPE product that could later be upgraded to feed a home storage system (e.g. Tesla Powerwall). Overall, we were happy with the product selection process and installation. They also pulled the necessary permits and handled all inspections. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Affordable Home Solar to friends and family.

Affordable Home Solar is really affordable.

Great service. Meo Nguyen from Affordable Home Solar guided us throughout the whole process explaining the most cost efficient option for us. Very quick installation with good warranty. His staffs also helped us with electricity saving tips on EV car charging. Overall, an awesome solar installer and I highly recommend their work.

Affordable like it says

Solid installation with a tough 2-story plus basement drop beckoning.

Solar installation job well done !!!

I got their reference from one of my friends. I am very happy I went with them for my house solar installation (30 panels). They were very professional from start to end. System is working with no problems. With no doubt i will recommend them.

excellent work with fair budget

Meo Nguyen did outstanding solar installation work with his crew in my house. He has very good knowledge and answered my questions to choose right equipment and place to put the panels. He helped to finish the installation on time with fair budget. I would highly recommend Affordable Home Solar company.

Highly recommend Affordable Home Solar

We had Affordable Home Solar install solar for our homes about a year ago. They are very professional, detail oriented, and super efficient. The installation was done professionally and completed on time. We are very happy with our experience with Affordable Home Solar and would definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking to install solar panels.

scope and performance

Affordable Home Solar provided a detailed clear scope of work and price. The installation was performed very well and in one very long day. The hookup with PG&E went seamless and the electrical bills went way down. Meo and his team has followed up with quickly to my inquiries after completion including site visits. As a professional engineer I would have no hesitation recommending his firm.

Great solar power power system and great company to work with.

Meo and Affordable Home Solar were recommended to me by a friend (which is always a plus) and the whole experience was great. My situation was more complicated than a simple install. I had an existing older solar panel system and I wanted to add to it. This included moving the older panels to micro-inverters and installing new panels and the new micro-inverters and control box. Meo went over the options for system configuration and parts with me and we came up with a system that fit my needs perfectly. The full installation was done in 1 day and everything has been working perfectly since then. Permits, inspection, communication with PGE, etc. were all handled efficiently and professionally. Meo was a pleasure to work with, the price was great, and everything works perfectly. Overall, I recommend Meo and Affordable Home Solar very highly.
