Affordable Home Solar

Affordable Home Solar A+++

Meo and his AHS team did a quick and quality job installing solar panels on my house. The panels are top notch and the price was very fair compared to similar quality panels. Meo and 2 other guys worked to install the solar panels on my house and they were great. Very professional and courteous, and they rolled with my toddler and dog getting in the way when getting on/off tall ladder.

Affordable Home Solar

First of All , They are local. I live in Hayward , he lives in Union City. We started out with couple text msg , email and phone call. Set up a date for him to physical inspection of the roof and let you know where the panels gonna be installed. give me couple of quotes and couple options. I went with 17 Panels LG , He sent me a contract and I signed , then we set up a date. Him and another guy showed up on the set date and get it done in one day. I'm impressed. and also follow up inspection was done a few days later. From the day I texted him to the finish project with in a month and half. and compare to other Solar installers Meo is very reasonable as far as warranty , workmanship and products. Overall, I'm very pleased with this project. I definitely recommend him to anybody looking for Solar done right, he's the right guy for the job.

Professional and trouble free

We hired Meo last year for solar project with a 4kW roof-top PV system. The project finished in a day in June 2019, passed city inspection within the same week, and PG&E granted Permission To Operate one week after. It's been fully functioning for a little over a year and everything is perfect. The installation process was smooth. Meo managed the project from start to finish. Being knowledgable about the solar systems and economics, he was able to address many system design and electrical issues I had. His quote was not the lowest but I decided to work with him for reasons of (a) he's a Union City based local business with good records and recommendations from friends; (b) the solar modules / inverters solution of choice is superior to the other quotes I received. I recommend potential customers in bay area (especially east bay) contact him for a price quote.

Knowledgeable and professional

Meo was friendly and knowledgeable when discussing the project. They kept with their namesake and offered an affordable bid. They were professional with prompt and accurate responses through the the whole process. The install was good as the guys certainly cared about their work. Support has been good thus far.

Affordable Home Solar - Highly Recommend for home solar

We met with and received quotes from three prominent, licensed and highly rated home solar companies. We selected Affordable Home Solar because the owner, Meo Nguyen, was the most knowledgeable, transparent, honest and had the most competitive bid. He met or exceeded ever term in the agreement and was on time, professional and very easy to work with. If you are considering a home solar installation, we strongly encourage you to contact Affordable Home Solar for a quote.

Fast, efficient and affordable

I did a lot of research on panels and pricing. Meo was responsive and easy to work with. Very knowledgeable. Showed me different solar options and made recommendations based on what I was looking for. Did not try to over sell on products and number of solar panels to install. Price was very good. Job completed quickly and cleaned everything up after the installation.

Everything went smoothly

Meo and his team made the whole process very easy on our 5.25kw system. They are a small company where the person (Meo) who gives you the quote is the person running the crew at install. They were the most affordable of 3 quotes taken. Installation was completed and functioning properly in one day....no surprises. No payments were requested until after SJ inspector signed off the following week. We haven't had any issues after one month. Can't ask for more.

Excellent Job ~

Meo is real professional in solar industry, he managed to help me scale up the system so I did not have to spend $2000 to replace my old zinsco electrical panel, and the power produced was just enough to charge my 2 EVs. The process wass smooth and pleasant, and Meo offerred me the most competitive quote :) Great job, highly recommend~

Excellent workmanship and customer service

I did my research on solar for awhile in the end it was between Affordable Solar and a bigger company. Meo (owner of Affordable Solar) doing the install itself sold me. He was very knowledgeable and has excellent workmanship. He gave me a fair price too. The install finished within in half the day. But the best part is Meo’s customer service. He is just a txt/phone call away if there’s any issues. I will not hesitate to recommend Affordable Home Solar to any of my friends or family that has solar needs.

Super Service

The service is the best, quote price is transparency very competitive. I love what they offer from site survey to city inspection. Highly recommend

Great Experience. Go Solar!

I had researched and talked to a lot of solar providers. Meo came and did the initial inspection without me being at home. He gave me a quote that was the most competitive and he gave an installation date that was within a reasonable time frame. He set up my panels in 1 day and I have been generating electricity ever since. I have already been recommending him to my friends and now I recommend him to you! Go ahead and look, but you'll come back to AHS in the end.

Great service at an affordable price

After an initial consultation with a large solar installer, I wanted to get another bid to ensure that I was getting the best value. I reached out to several friends, whom gave me Meo's contact at Affordable Home Solar. Meo quoted me a solar PV system, using LG panels and Enphase micro-inverters. Not only was the bid significantly less, but the products used superior over the other installer. Very impressed with the seamless PV system install, from scheduling to post-installation. Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend Meo @ Affordable Home Solar.

Good service and fast installation

My neighbors referred me to Meo for my Solar panel project. He was very knowledgable and responsive with my questions. He was also flexible with payment plan so I was able to pay off the project with two installments. Now I'm happy with a lower PG&E bill and a nice looking Solar panel on my house.

Amazing experience from start to finish

Meo is very responsive and took the time to thoroughly answer the many questions I had regarding solar panels and the installation process. Everything was done on time with close to 0 disruptions while the installation was going on: the only times we were involved was at the beginning and the end when things wrapped up. He was also very pro-active in giving updates on the final inspection and the PG&E switch, explaining what to expect. I highly recommend Affordable Home Solar!

Solar Power System

Its been a year since I have had my solar power system installed through Affordable Home Solar. And I can't be more happier, especially now, given that we are having to work from home and our power usage is way higher that usual. Working with Meo has been a smooth & enjoyable experience. The whole process, starting from discussing our power needs, reviewing estimates, selecting the right panels/ gateway system & getting them installed was handled very professionally. I couldn't have chosen a better partner for getting the job done.

On Time, On Budget, With Quality

Meo and his team did a great job installing our panels! He completed the job quickly and made the inspection and interconnect process easy. The inspector even commented that we had a “really nice system”. Would highly recommend.

4.2kW in Belmont, CA

Meo is prompt to respond and very knowledgeable (unlike a typical big installer who's sales representatives know nothing). The price was very reasonable. The installation happened at the scheduled time and fast. It's now 3 month since the installation and we are very happy with it.

Smooth, hassle free customer interaction and a great price

Let's be real, price is a big deciding factor when it comes to big projects like Solar. However, in addition to having the best price, the sales experience was no frills, no pressure, and informative. We did an initial quote over email. I had questions that Meo responded to quickly so I could be more educated about what I needed and potential future upgrades to the system. The site visit was pleasant. And the system, now running for nearly a year, has performed as expected. I have had no issues, look forward to upgrading my system (with more panels or a battery) when the time comes with AHS.

Affordable Home Solar

They provided the best price and their installation was done fast, and professionally. They were willing to work with me as to where I want the panels to be placed. The hook up with PGE was taken care of by them and they walked me with the self-monitoring app. I probably got more panels then I needed, just anticipating a full EV car later on... during the first month of my PGE, will only 10 days of Solar, I got a credit. I have already recommended to freinds and relatives. Unfortunately, they do not do EV extension, so I called my local electrician.

Great small company that delivered as promised

Affordable solar installed our solar on time as promised. Great prices courteous and helpful staff. Our electric bills have been cut from $300 to $20 for the last 3 months. I would highly recommend Affordable to anyone looking to install solar on their home.

Excellent Response Time and Work

Meo was prompt in his response to questions we have from the beginning of the project. He is very knowledgeable as to the placement of the solar panels and was very cooperative with our schedule in the installation of the panels.

Great experience with Affordable Home Solar

I did a lot of digging before choosing Affordable Home Solar. Other companies fell into 4 categories: High price, Aggressive, Slow to respond, or no experience. I have clay tiles on my 2 story house and quite a few companies would not even provide a quote since they cannot do it. For the ones that can do it, they were priced too high or their tactics were too aggressive (daily phone calls). Affordable Home Solar had the lowest pricing, fast install, and experience that fit my needs. They were fast in communication and in installation. This was a major purchase for us and I'm glad Affordable Home Solar fit me in before the end of the year deadline. Meo is the manager and he is a great guy. Very up front and tells you the truth. 5 Stars!!!

Excellent installation, responsive owner, & efficient crew.

Meo has a through knowledge of the solar industry and his recommendations were always in the customers interests. My installation went as planned and we are very happy with the end result. Meo and his crew get my highest recommendation.

High knowledgeable, efficient and great to work with

I was referred to this company when I was looking to purchase a solar system for our house. Meo and his crew were very friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. I'm looking to work with them again once the hybrid battery back up systems are available.

Easy to work with, fast, smooth process

Meo came by for an initial consult, was really knowledgeable, and listened to what I was looking for. He asked if I wanted to move up the installation date when someone else changed dates, so we got the system in way faster than I was expecting. The city permit and PG&E activation process all went by smoothly as well. I had a smaller system, and the team was finished right after lunchtime.
