A & R Solar were fantastic. I made them work through about 7 different options before finding the one that worked best for us. Reeves was imformative, professional, patient, and an all-around great guy. I`d recommend him and A & R to anyone interested in Solar.

A&R`s estimator/engineer Dave Kozin was very pleasant and knowledgeable. His site survey was very thorough and he worked through many different changes before we agreed on a contract. A&R`s price was great without sacrificing on anything. Their installation team did a great job and handled a few problems with professionalism.

I was extremely pleased with the pre, during, and post interactions and service. The references were willing to answer my questions, Reeves was always available by phone and email to answer my questions, as were Dave and Andy when Reeves was not there. Everything was done according to the plan and there were only three times when work was not completed exactly on time -- and all of those times were because of the supplier, the electrical inspector, or PUD, not because of A&R. This company lived up to their promises, and even more so. I appreciated how they kept me informed of when there were any changes to the original timetable or schedule- they were wonderfully respectful of my time and expectation. I would recommend them to whoever whats to install solar panels. I will be glad to do this survey, but it needs to be after I`ve had them in operation for a while.

The short delay in completion was apparently due to a requirement from the city inspector that had not been required before. I was told that the computer program to off-site monitoring of power generation apparently is not yet available.

We were doing an overhaul of a 25 year old open loop system. Contractor was relatively new to this as they were used to doing only closed loop. They did their home work and we discussed fully the options available. Although a bit resistive to restoring the open loop system they agreed and there was only two small hurdles to clear. One was the type of vent used originally was not still the same and needed an additional component which the contractor provided at no cost. The other was the wiring of the temperature sensors into the original controler. It was necessary for the home owner to get involved with his experience with the original system to resolve the proper connections. As the home owner I was positively impressed with the technicians co-operation in accepting this assistance to expidite the solution.

They were on budget. They encountered some defective tubes and replaced them without my having to request they do so.

Being in the industry as a solar designer and salesman I didn`t need much explanation and I trusted Andy and Reeves to do my job competently and for a fair price, and they did. They mix a good blend of professionalism and familiarity. As a guy with tools, I wasn`t threatened (too much) having them work on my house.

A and R Solar is a great young company. Andy and Reeves are great professionals. We wish them all the success. They are poised to be an integral part of the "Green Revolution/Economy". I would recommend them to any one looking to have systems such as ours installed in their homes. Regarding the question of incentives, we won`t have a tax benefit for either the PV or solar heating system until 2010. And we await the City of Seattle`s return to install their meter so that we get credit for the electricity we are now feeding into the City Light grid. This should occur within the next few days. The inspector would not initially install the meter until the electrician changed some wiring to suit her. The electrician had done the wiring to the standard mandated by the SunnyBoy manual . This, according to A and R , is better than what the City wishes. But, to comply, the electrician has made the change. This modifies some of my answers to the last group of questions. Let me know if you have any questions about my responses to your survey. We have only just started our PV system a few days ago and have already generated 35 kwh. And we have reduced the associated CO2 emissions by andgt-35 pounds in this short period of time. We are excited!

The group is excellent...made the transition easy and effortless on our part. We have an unusually shaped roof that stumped all but the A and R Solar gents. VERY DEPENDABLE and REALLY beautiful work. The ONLY ones I would recommend for ANY solar work. They literally "held our hand" through this process, big help. Honest and dependable...very happy with A and R.
