This is the second project we have used Superior Solar. The second project as well as the first has been a very exceptional experience. The knowledgeable presentation by Nick is first and foremost of contact. Installation crew lead by Juan was fast, attentive to detail and present the company extremely well. There is no doubt that I will contact Superior Solar for future projects. Very pleased and have recommended to others.

Great company, great job

Solar Source did everything they said they would do; called the day before to verify our appointment, phoned the day of our appointment and arrived early (wow, not any companies do that any more). The technicians listened to our problems (leaks), fixed the leaks and were very careful to inspect the rest of our solar panels to make sure that there we no other possible that were hiding that might possibly cause us problems in the near future. Very professional and much appreciated. WE would definitely recommend Solar Source to anyone experiencing problems or who are considering having solar added to their home.

Excellent Service

Felix was our service representative. He was on time and commenced to fix problem quickly. He looked over the whole system and got everything in working order He went above and beyond by organizing our pool wires with zip ties so everything was neat and orderly. He explained what and why he did everything. He also had some good suggestions on how to protect our pool equipment. We could not be more pleased with our service. Thank You Felix!

The Solar Source Team has been friendly from office to install

The install team came by at 9 am and informed me of their process. The lead was very informative on the location and workings of the solar panels. He explained all of the plumbing controls. My pool was not filled yet and he said he would come back and explain the same information to me once the system was functional. I am very impressed with the team cleanliness and work ethic.

Complete from A to Z

In the last 3 years, I've asked every pool professional this question... who to use for solar panel replacement. It was always Superior Solar, now Solar Source. I met with the estimator and saw the quality product and price, I signed up right away. The job was done perfectly and I'm very pleased with it all.

Great company to work with!

When we decided to go solar, I investigated and sat through presentations of at least 8 companies, and even made a little spread sheet comparing pros and cons, and Solar Source came out on top. The materials they use and their warranties can't be beat, and are a very competitive price. Our sales rep, Chris Bowman, was the best -- he really knows his stuff and very patiently explained everything to us, as well as writing the contract in the way that made it most cost-effective for us. He also came out after everything was installed to make sure it was all working properly and that we understood how to read the monitoring app. Our system is already producing a great amount of kw and I'm looking forward to seeing our electric bills go down to almost nothing from here on out!

Best purchase I've made during this pandemic

Loving my new solar pool heater. Everything went super smooth from the sales process to the installation. After doing some research I found out that there are really two major solar pool heating companies in the area. I scheduled to get estimates from both of them. Jim, from Solar Source, showed up wearing a mask. I thought that every responsible adult would show up wearing one, but that's not the case as I'll write about later. Jim was great. He gave me all the information, including that they have a 10 year warranty that includes all parts and labor. He told me that they are the only ones who do this, so it will cost nothing if anything ever breaks. After the 10 years, it is 50% covered, so I'm still getting a deal then. He showed me an example of the solar panel. The one they have drills fewer holes into your roof. Jim also showed me the device that allows you to set your pool to whatever temperature you want. Since I was doing all of this in September, they had a deal where you get one panel for free, which saved me about $500. In the end my total was a little over $4,500 (which surprisingly is on par with electric heaters, which I thought would be less). In comparison, the other solar rep showed up not wearing a mask. He told me that their warranty also includes parts and labor, but when I called back later, I found out you still have to pay a certain amount every time someone comes out (so it's not completely free). The other rep also didn't listen to me and ended up quoting me an electric pump, whereas I wanted solar. You really realize how great one company is when you have another one for comparison! After signing with Solar Source they set up a time to come by and survey the house and another time after that for the installation. Everyone I dealt with was awesome. They have people dedicated just to calling and scheduling these appointments and I found everyone showed up exactly when they said they would (which is not always the case with contractors). The guys who did the installation were super friendly. When they came down to show me how to set the temperature, they put on masks. Again, I've come to really appreciate people who do this, since I've found it is not the norm. It started raining the day they did the installation so they said they'd come back the next day to finish...and they did! I've had a lot of stuff done to the house during this pandemic and I can tell you that a majority of people who say they will be back at a certain time, do not come back. They didn't charge me until all the work was done. Now it's October and our pool is a toasty 90 degrees (at my husband's request). I'm already patting myself on the back for making this purchase.

Excellent caring service repair work successfully completed

The technician was excellent. Not only did he address the problem (a squirrel chewed through two of our pool water solar tubes on our roof) he did a a very nice comprehensive review and addressed another other problem. I was happy to get that done in the same visit which is of course more cost effective. As a bonus he also pointed out a couple of other general pool issues and I got those fixed after (needed a née o-ring on filter). Thank you for being comprehensive and helpful.

Would definitely use again

After checking with several other firms offering solar systems for pool heating I was extremely pleased I selected Solar Source. Bryan responded promptly to request for visit, thoroughly reviewed our needs, explained their system and immediately provided a competitive quote. His visit was followed with a site visit by Curtis to ensure crew arrived with all required materials. Within a few weeks of proposal Jerry and Griffin arrived on date and time promised. They diid a fine job installing the system and I was particularly pleased by the fashion in which the plumbing around pool equipment was done - they honored my request and did a very neat job. If I were ever in need of another system I would definitely use Solar Source.

They were contracted by me to install a 6 panel, pool heating system. I had no prior relationship with Superior and found them only after an extensive internet search and company evaluation. The scope of the project involved on-site evaluation, permitting and finally equipment installation. Once ready, the project took less than three hours with the quoted estimate being met without complication. While major construction projects are inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, especially during a time of pandemic, Superior Solar made the process as painless as possible. Specifically, I would give this company top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work crew: The Superior Solar crew was professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of our property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic of good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was always evident. The foreman was able to walk me through the operation of everything that was installed. He was able to was able to teach me all aspects of filter / pump / solar operation. What appeared initially daunting became easy with his expert guidance. It goes without say, that once installed, the crew tidied up and my yard was left in a pristine condition. 3. Project management and coordination. Our company representative David Spanier, was knowledgeable about all aspects of solar heating and our specific project. He was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities from the first. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. Any questions I had prior to installation; he answered my email inquiries within minutes. Though my wife and I expected the occasional hiccup, there was none and we are absolutely thrilled with the system. My old pool's solar panel was leaking. I researched the various companies and selected Solar Source. I am NOT disappointed. They listened to my situation and was able to help. The workers were professional and knowledgeable. They did not try to sell me something I did not need. They gave me my options. The work was completed timely with no issues. The 2 technicians that installed my panels were very careful when building the support in my pasture with my horses. They made sure, before leaving for the day, to put tape around their work. They did the install in 3 days and they were the nicest, helpful technicians that I had in a long time. Great job guys and thank you so much.

Great post-installation support

We were lucky enough to get two referrals to Solar Source from neighbors when we were considering a solar installation. That was over two years ago, and since then the market has become flooded with new solar companies. Solar Source has decades of experience and we have benefitted from that experience from the initial visit of our sales person (Bryan Hammond) through the installation and post installation support. Incredible how deep their bench is. Every person we have dealt with has impressed us with their skills and knowledge. Highly recommended.

They came out on time and worked the issue quickly. I felt the price was acceptable and within a month, they had to come out a second time for some additional repairs and didn't charge a second service. I just had to pay for parts. I am very happy with the tech that was here as he also helped me with a small unrelated favor while he was here. Just a good friendly thing to do. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the problem. I am very happy with this company.
