Solar Source - The Solar Experts

Residential Solar Installation

My husband and I were very impressed with the entire process from consultation through the installation of solar in our home. Richard Smith (the owner) and Sam Smith (the sales person) both visited our home to provide a complete overview of the process to convert to solar, including testimonials, specific details on the system and warranty, and financial return over time. After the initial conversation, we felt very confident in the investment. The exceptional service we received that evening carried through during the entire process with regular communication and updates from Sam Smith on the process to the helpful nature of all the crew installing the system in our home. When we had questions about our pool pump working with the new system, Universal Solar sent out their crew to check our system and offer solutions. We would recommend Universal Solar to anyone considering converting their home to solar energy. They make the process easy! **THIS REVIEW WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR UNIVERSAL SOLAR PRIOR TO THE COMPANY MERGING WITH SUPERIOR SOLAR SYSTEMS.**

Had several estimates. Seems there are some shady companies out there. Others wouldn't give me a written estimate because they were too afraid that I might show it to the competition. Checked Superior Solar on BBB & Yelp. Lots of positive reviews. Their written estimate was extremely detailed. They took care of the permits, filling out HOA architecture review material, contacting/arranging for utility company to make connections. Installers completed all the work in a day and 1/2. I'm happy I went with them.

Exceeded Expectations on Solar Electric System

I had been looking for a solar pv system for a few months and because I am an engineer and had done some research I had a lot of questions.. Some of the other installers were slow returning answers and following up. Not the salesperson from Superior Solar. He was good about answering my technical questions and after I went silent for a while he followed up and scheduled a site visit to answer any other questions I might have. I ended up contracting with them due to price and flexibility to meet my desires. At my request they made sure that all of the panels and microinverters came from domestic factories. The install and delivery went exactly on schedule and as described with additional questions being answered along the way. The installation people were very friendly and hard working and genuinely appeared to enjoy what they were doing. The panels they promised me weren't available, so they gave me another model (less power) from the same manufacturer. They compensated by adding an extra panel and micro-inverter (really nice!). The total rated output ended up being slightly more than originally agreed. Additionally, after the contract I found that the monitoring software for the microinverters had a feature that I wanted. They added that feature in for free at their additional cost even though I offered to pay for it. I am very happy with their professionalism, quality and to date, their service. I would recommend them highly. Note that I usually find it hard to give perfect scores, but this time I am completely satisfied.

Excellent Solar Panel Company

I had an aging solar pool heating system, installed by myself, that I needed to get replaced. I noticed the great looking installation on a neighbor's roof and asked them what they thought of the company that installed. They gave me a positive recommendation for Superior Solar, so I called them for some information. David came by and explained the system to us, although I had already done some research on the company and their product, Helicoil, and was already somewhat familiar with the in's and out's of solar panel design and installation. He was respectful and thorough. What what I knew and what I was hearing, it was a no-brainer to contract them to replace my old system. Scheduling was easy and they arrived on-time and knocked out the installation in a day. I climbed the roof to inspect the next day. The installation was clean and complete. The system ran fine for several months until I noticed a small leak. A quick call, followed immediately by a service visit and the leak was repaired. I fully recommend this company for your solar pool heating needs. Not only is their product top of the line, but they are a great company to deal with!

Outstanding!

In the process of making our decision about what Solar PV system we were going to install, we spoke to more that 6 different vendors. We learned a lot about the different types of inverters and panels available, and found some vendors very helpful in answering our questions, and others not so helpful. We also discovered some companies weren’t really keeping up with the advancements in technology, and a few were even giving out factually false information. We selected Universal Solar because they had the most experience with the type of system we wanted. Nick, their sales guy was very low pressure but always available and responsive to our questions. He was very patient with us as we tried to learn and understand these systems in order to make the right choice for our home. The installation when very smoothly, and the timing of the entire process went more quickly than we had anticipated. We liked that they have several folks on staff who are NABCEP certified, and were impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the install crew. We have had our system turned on for a couple weeks now and are very happy with its performance so far. We would strongly recommend Universal Solar for Solar PV system installation and would use them again if need be. **THIS REVIEW WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR UNIVERSAL SOLAR PRIOR TO THE COMPANY MERGING WITH SUPERIOR SOLAR SYSTEMS.**

Best price, best product.

Universal Solar has exceeded our expectations. When we had additional questions, Nick Arceneaux made time in his schedule to come by and answer them. Jason Reale and Shaun Newell were professional and helpful. They corrected existing mistakes in our plumbing and electrical systems, making it all look and work perfectly, and they also carted off the old heater. Nothing was left out of place; everything looked far better than when they started. They were able to complete the job sooner than we anticipated. Even in cloudy, cool weather, we have already enjoyed swimming in late November and early December. We are so pleased to have a free, infinite source of heat for our winter swimming. Thanks, Universal Solar! **THIS REVIEW WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR UNIVERSAL SOLAR PRIOR TO THE COMPANY MERGING WITH SUPERIOR SOLAR SYSTEMS.**

Excellent product and customer service

I needed to heat my inground pool to be able to swim year round as that is my exercise. I compared gas, electric and solar heaters. Solar was my choice. Then I compare local solar installation companies and Superior Solar was my choice. The entire process was wonderful. David Spanier created a system for us that is perfect. Professional on time installation. And David's customer service skills are the best I have ever experienced. Thanks David.

Great Experience

Universal Solar employees were very polite, friendly, hard working, and fast. We are very happy with the work they did. Sam proved to be very helpful in organizing all of the work that was done and mad sure we had everything needed. **THIS REVIEW WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR UNIVERSAL SOLAR PRIOR TO THE COMPANY MERGING WITH SUPERIOR SOLAR SYSTEMS.**

Brighter Days

I am so happy with the Solar project at my house from Universal Solar. They installed not only the solar water heater but a photo-voltaic system. The techs are polite, professional and take pride in their work. I had many questions and Nick Arceneaux was always there to answer...even after hours and weekends via text messages. They go the extra mile to make you happy and the team are all talented. What impressed me is the professional install and customer service before, during and even after the job was complete. They are here for the ling haul!! Thank you guys. **THIS REVIEW WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR UNIVERSAL SOLAR PRIOR TO THE COMPANY MERGING WITH SUPERIOR SOLAR SYSTEMS.**

Seamless process!

Pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the whole process went. Solid communication with the whole team, work done on time as promised; a total pleasure to do business with. A prior quote and consult from a hard-sell competitor almost put me off the idea of adding solar panels, but these folks were courteous during the whole process. No hard-sell tactics, just well explained details about what PV panels could do for us. So glad I came across their website and decided to take the plunge. Steve R., St. Petersburg

Great decision on my part

Superior Solar did a great job in record time. They stand behind their product/services

Outstanding Service

I recently had to have my solar pool panels and hot water panel removed and reinstalled to support a roof replacement due to hail damage. The Superior Solar team was very professional and on time for both the removal and reinstallation of both systems. I highly recommend them for all of your solar needs.

Hands Down Best Company Around

After interviewing a few solar companies to install a new propane heater and solar system for my pool I feel Superior Solar was by far the best value as well as the best product available on the market. After researching the different types of solar systems I was very impressed with Dave and Superiors technology and depth of knowledge. As my sales representative Dave Spanier took a great deal of time surveying the job and explaining the Proposed solution. . Installation was seamless and my entire system right now has my pool at 90 degrees with no Additional energy cost at all. Dave is a true gentleman representing a superior company that sells a fantastic product at a fair value. I highly recommend this company for anyone’s solar solutions.

Best Investment

Superior Solar walked me through an initially scary process--what was I getting myself into? As they continued to deliver on everything they promised, my confidence grew. Now, I have flawless panels, home computer monitoring of performance, a drastically reduced electric bill, and contributed to the environment to boot. Inspired me to go all electric--electric riding mower, electric lawn tools...even a new Tesla! It will take some time to amortize the costs, but along the way I am earning right at 6% on my net investment--guaranteed returns, and tax free.

Superior Solar was great to work with.

They provided an outstanding product and the customer service was refreshingly good. In this fast paced age we live in it is still nice to know that there are people like David Spanier with Superior Solar that take great pride in their work, the product they deliver and personalized customer service. The great customer service does not end with David though, it extends through the entire chain of employees. From the installers to the sales force, all of them exceeded my expectations for a great product and customer service. During the initial layout stage they brought to my attention the two alternatives for running the plumbing for the solar panels, across the roof or underground with the rest of the new pool plumbing. During the install phase they were very thorough, had great installers who were persistent on letting them paint the solar piping on the house, which turned out great, glad they were persistent. The install came out very clean and at first glance is hard to tell that my house even has solar panels on the roof. They also sent a follow-up email asking how things were going and a hand written thank you card with gourmet brownies in the mail. Very impressed with the finished product and the experience as a whole. I would highly recommend Superior Solar and David Spanier if you are looking for a great product, knowledgeable sales representatives and installers and customer service that is some of the best I have come across in a long time.

Solar Pool Heater

We were more than happy with Superior Solar. Not only were they a pleasure to work with, but they did an amazing job. We highly recommend them and would definitely use them again!

Solar pool heat

Excellent install job. I had my system installed 6 years ago and love it. Just had my neighbors installed (owners live in U.K.) and the installation was done jus like mine. Neat, attractive and functions great !!! Solar Source is the best !!!

Pool Is Devine

Don't let the sometimes cold weather in Florida keep you from enjoying your pool. We installed solar panels, heat pump and use a solar blanket to keep the water warm. Our neighbor recently used our pool for therpeutic workouts for her shoulder. Whatever we set the temperature to, that is the temperature of the water, and it does not take long to reach the desired temperature. Worth every penny to enjoy the pool year round.

Delays were a result of Utility Company (not Solar Source)

Professional and courteous technicians - knowledgable. Answered all questions in Layman terms. Excellent company. Was a pleasure.
