Jim was my salesman and was one of the best salesmen I've ever had for anything. He was very honest and upfront about everything, he didn't mislead me about anything and he answered all my questions even after installation. I really liked the fact that he also has solar panels installed at his house and showed me his own electric bills! Jim was very knowledgeable about everything and the A1A Solar installation crew was just as good when they came to install the panels on my house. The installation technicians were efficient and courteous. They have responded kindly to my subsequent inquiries. The battery is capable of providing power in the evening hours. We know use about 20 per cent less power from the grid.

Loving it

We had our solar panels installed almost a year ago. The company was great - from the salesman to the installers. It took two days for installation. We opted against the battery back-up, but I highly recommend it for new installs.The panels are great, especially nice in turning the AC down a few degrees. It's very pollen-y here and I suggest washing the panels about twice a year.

BEST MOVE WHEN DESIRING HEATING A POOL AND POWERING YOUR HOME

We have had the system set up for 7 months. We have had FPL bills of $8 to $40 during those months. A significant change to our previous bills!! We are very happy with the system and highly recommend it if you are considering solar. A1A Solar has a great team and they do ALL of the work for you making it even more attractive.

A1A did A1 work for me.

They did a tremendous job of installing my solar for me. I unfortunately had damage to my roof from the Hurricane that passed through and had to delay getting the installation done until after I got the roof fixed, but they were very understanding and worked with me to get everything done in a very timely fashion. I like the fact that they took care of pretty much all of the paperwork, I did not have to run all over town and deal with bureaucrats all day. One thing I do want to mention is that, people who are relying on the Federal rebate to help them pay off their panels, make sure you UNDERSTAND how that works, especially if you took the 18 month interest free loan this company will try to put you into. The feds will give you up to a 30 percent rebate but it comes off your Tax Burden, it is NOT an automatic check. Lets say you have 15,000 dollars coming back to you, BUT, because of your income, your overall taxes you would have paid that year are only 10,000 dollars. This means that your refund check will only be 10,000 dollars. You will get the remaining 5,000 back the following year BUT, if you did the interest free financing for 15.000 and are expecting that check to pay it all off, you are going to be rudely awakened when the loan company hits you for all of that back interest at like 18 percent. It would be in your best interests to pay down this loan while waiting for the refund check, or putting money aside while you are waiting so you don't get slammed when that 18 months is up and you don't have the money to pay it all off. This may not be fully explained to you up front, make sure you understand the terms of ANY loan you take out.

Solar Installation

A very good experience from start to finish. Solar panels were installed about a month after signing contract and were up and running shortly after that. A1A handled all permitting which saved me from the hassle. I've already received the tax rebate when I filed my taxes this year and qualified for the rebate for the hybrid water heater. Every day I'm producing energy which should entitle me to a rebate from BES at the end of the year. Installers (solar panels and hybrid water heater) were extremely courteous and professional. Water heater is great and the fan it uses actually helps keep the garage a little cooler on hot days. Salesperson (Jim) was thorough and always available when I had questions.

A1A Solar has the expertise and experience to not only install a rooftop photovoltaic system, but also to get the necessary permits from the city government. That's not small feat: my neighborhood0 has very strict architectural standards for any home-improvement project that is visible from the street. Their staff cut through the red tape and completed the installation efficiently and economically. The other advantage they had over the competition was their partnership with a bank that offered financing on a basis that takes advantage of net-metering savings and the federal tax credit. The package included same-as-cash terms for the tax-credit portion, and a very competitive loan with monthly payments that approximate the amount saved from utility bills. My most recent electric bill? Minus $0.60. So, bottom line: my 80-year-old house is the most energy efficient house on the block in one of the most desirable neighborhoods of Florida's First Coast. Expectations and Results

We, like so many other people, have wanted to take the plunge and have solar installed on our homes rooftop. Well we finally did it. We searched high and low and talked to so many different companies out there. When it came down to being satisfied with what we wanted, A1A Solar was the company that took things over and got the job done. Our sales representative - Jim Schwend - was never pushy, he was well informed, and he had the proof on hand to back up his claims. I never felt like Jim was trying to just get another sale under his belt. He took time to talk with us, show us options, review past bills and future savings potential, and even went as far as to just be a friend. I highly recommend that Jim Schwend end up on your list of people to talk to when you find yourself interested in a solar power system for your home. The Install crew showed up ON TIME!!! They were hard working and extremely courteous. The leader of the team introduced herself and the team members. They immediately went to work and managed to get our installation done in two days (Only delayed due to weather). I took the time to put in efforts to help push through the permits, HOA, and Clay Electric setup. No one held us up on those ends and we were able to get everything signed off on the first visit. Within 2 hours of installation, we had our new digital meter in place and watched the negative numbers begin. The company as a whole is above and beyond what you would expect. There is no political abnormalities about them, they do not push you to make a decision that you would later regret, and they do a fantastic job. Good community company

I'd met A1a solar reps at several community events and was impressed by their desire to panel up the area. In 2016 I was ready to get a system so I had Jim Schwed from A1a out to my home to estimate the work. After I gave the green light and signed some forms A1a took care of the permitting, HOA, and utility agreements. After a few weeks my home was generating electricity for the world. A1a did a great job and I wanted to make sure Jim and the company got the credit for helping me help the world.

A1A delivered

An A1A representative met me at the local home show and dispelled much of the older information I assumed was still true. After answering all my questions I invited him out to the home and reviewed our energy use as well as the site (roof). He came back with what has turned out to be a very well tailored system for our home to meet 90% of our energy consumption as restricted by our electric company. He also suggested losing our old water heating panels (instead of fixing them, they were broken for the 20th time) for a hybrid water heater. After installation of the hybrid system, our bill dropped an immediate 18-20% daily energy use. The solar panels went on later. The promise was made that all the permits could be obtained and everything could be installed in less than 5 weeks. Two weeks after signing the contract, everything was done (so much for 5 weeks). The onsite supervisor walked me through the entire setup and helped me make changes to the initial plan. This has helped us produce even more energy than expected. Since going active, our electric bill has varied between $11 and -$10 (a credit). I told family and friends about our experience on social media and in person. One friend got his panels last month and is "out producing" me. He also ran a -$15 credit on his bill as he's producing more than he's using. I love our panels and appreciate the quick and attentive help from A1A solar.

A1A solar systems installed my 12 Kw system on my house of 4200 sq feet on October 2016. There service is beyond expectations. There installation was quick and highly proffesional. No hidden cost or surprises appeared during the whole process. I am getting a $15-$25 credit every month on my electric bill by JEA. At least once a month I receive a phone call from there office to follow up with the functioning of the equipments. I am amazed at the level of expertise of the employees, the efficiency of the installation process, and the obvious training in customer relations that I experienced from this company. This is not my first solar installation so I can compare my 2009 ground install in Maryland to the 2017 install of a roof array in Florida and A1A wins all around with a superior job. Plus I got a 10.44 kilowatt system and hybrid water heater for less money than my previous 5 kilowatt system without water heater.

Professional/Courteous Service...Promises kept!

Normally, if something sounds too good to be true, it is. NOT this time! I was skeptical of A1A Solar even after the install...several months in now and I couldn't be happier. A1A stands by their product...AND maintains it! Twice, now, there have been SMALL issues...one was just a simple connectivity issue (panels were working fine). I received a call before I even noticed there was an issue. One was corrected in less than 5 min. The other detected by A1A before I noticed it and corrected the following day. Both were found by A1A. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable...and patient for those that ask a bunch of questions like me. Give it a try...you won't regret it.

The estimating process was excellent and the work was done on time. The workers did have to come back to fix a problem and the owner came over to further explain the workings of the installation.
