Above and Beyond

I just used A1A Solar again to do electrical work for a hot tub installation. As usual, the process was smooth and professional and Nick, Carlos, Josh and Nate even came on a Saturday to ensure it was complete for my delivery date. I am so grateful to have found this company and highly recommend them.

Great Planing and Execution

A1A Solar just finished installing my system about a week ago. Overall, I was delighted with the process and the company. The salesperson came well-prepared, listened, and understood my needs. He did not try to "upsell" but offered a sensible solution in line with what I wanted. The planning process was very thorough. My location and the type/age of the house required some special considerations. A1A was very thorough in planning the system, had the engineer and the installers/electricians inspect the site, and patiently followed all the city permitting requirements with minimum work from my end. The installation went smoothly, and some minor issues were immediately addressed. A1A stuck to its initial quote down to the cent, even though some unique challenges required some redesigns. The system appears to function and perform as promised a week into producing power. A1A was not the cheapest bidder, but by far the most competent, and I am glad I selected them. The original schedule was not quite kept, but this was partly due to city permitting delays.

Solar system repair

My Solar system went out several weeks ago. I hire A1A Solar to come out and fix my system. Throughout the process I had 5 of their installers come out. They were Nick, Carlos, Warren, Josh and Nate. These men were absolutely incredible. They would not stop until they found the issue and solved it. It ended up being an issue from the original installers and the wiring. Many different issues that could have caused our house to burn down if left unfound. The company in a whole has been amazing to deal with. I would recommend this company to anyone. Very knowledgeable and very kind. Answered any questions I had and now I have a much better understanding of my system. Thank you all very much.

Excellent professional service all around!

A1A Solar is a great local company. They have their own installers, not subbed out. So quality and customer satisfaction is ensured from Pre-sale answering all my questions (Sean Smith), to back office folks with the estimates and financing, the Hybrid Water Heater Installation, the New Electrical Panel Upgrade (Tim), and great communication throughout rest of the process. They beat out a few of the other solar companies by a good margin, and it was not a high-pressure sale either which I liked. Their sales team have been in the business for a while. The best part is their own installation team (Nick, Carlos, Warren, Josh, and Nate). These guys worked hard, were on time, dealt with the rain slowing things down a bit and the heat. All their equipment and vehicles are top notch professional looking, they even have two electric commercial work vans that was neat to see parked in front of my house. The panels are fantastic, and the installation looks so good on the side of the house, especially the Tesla boxes, very sharp. The value of my home went up, and we have the benefit of having a fixed cost for power until my system is paid off, then its FREE! I want to get the battery setup next year for sure for a complete power solution. Gotta have this, especially for the Florida storms and outages.

Excellent services

Was contacted about 20 days ago that my system was not producing power by Jayson Indino. He inform me that they would need to repair the system. As of today 7/10/23 they did a firmware update and now my system show that it is producing more power. This is the reason why I partnered with A1A solar, the service after the sale. My sales person Chris Gallentien show me that they have strong partnerships with other companies in the solar industry to install and service my solar system. Outstanding service

A1A Solar took over for the contractor that installed our system. The previous company went out of business as many of them do. Since then, A1A Solar has helped us maintain and repair issues that we have had with our system (55 panels/2 inverters). They have been responsive and do High quality work. The roof crew did an Amazing job and were very respectful! Jay (technician) did a great job communicating and scheduling our work to be done. I would say A1A Solar is the Best in the business!! Amazing Service

Jay was amazing, he had my system back up and running within 20 minutes. And it was all done over the phone. He was very knowledgeable about the issues I was having. Great Job!!!

Nearly caused a fire

Thanks to an A1A install of a generator and battery in 2019, and subsequent fix in Jun 2021 after a 60amp junction box shorted out and melted wires and a relay, the company is now saying they did not install the junction box after the box failed again. The junction box was on single line drawing, attached to their permit, and a huge placard on the box itself with A1A name and contact information. After pointing this out to their “Support Specialist,” that has no idea what is going on, I have heard nothing since Friday. A1A’s “support specialist” diagnosed the problem over the phone and now wants $450 for the visit with an additional $200 per hour if the fix goes beyond an hour. The company “fixed” the issue in 2019, but did not fix it correctly or even try to figure out why the wires shorted out and melted a relay. My system has been shutoff since 31 May 2023. If you want Solar that actually works and probably won’t cause your house to catch fire, go with a different company.

For a long period of time, my Enphase system was not connecting to my home Wi-Fi, so he was quite patient enough in providing his technical assistance which resulted in successfully reestablishing Internet connectivity. I just had 30 panels and two Tesla powerwalls installed and it was an excellent experience. They actually got to my project about 2-3 weeks earlier than expected. Warren, Josh, Nate and CJ were all so nice, competent and hard working. They were very patient in explaining everything to me and the final inspection went well. I will absolutely use them again for any work I need in the future!

A1A Solar Contracting out of Jacksonville, FL recently completed a solar project on my house to include installation QCell Panels and Tesla Powerwalls. I can't be happier! From contracting to installation, the process was seamless and simple. Chris, the Sales Manager, came to my house where we sat down and developed my personalized solar project and answered all questions. He took the time to run through different scenarios I had, and we put together a proposal that fit my exact needs and specifications. Within the hour, I had my custom proposal in my hands and was ready to commit. From there Virgina, the Permitting Specialist, took care all of the city/county and HOA permits. Extremely easy on my part. I only had to send her a couple of papers and she did the rest. After the permitting process was complete, installation was scheduled shortly thereafter. Nate, CJ, and Alejandro installed the panels flawlessly and Nick and Carlos were the electricians that completed the electrical work to perfection. The entire install team was amazing, and the final completed project was sharp and stunningly beautiful. No corners were cut, nor were any steps skipped. The install team took the extra time needed to address all of the fine details in their work to include caulking the celling where the electrical wires went into the roof and removing even the smallest wire that was on the ground after the work was completed. Overall, if I would give them 10-stars I could, but since the rating only goes to 5 stars, 5 superstars it is. Without a doubt, I would highly, highly recommend A1A Solar Contracting to anyone in the market for Solar as I know you won't be disappointed! With that said, I'd like to give a big shout out to the entire A1A Solar Team and thank you for all the hard work you all did on my solar project! I can't be happier with my choice and I'm grateful I trusted you all with my Solar needs!

Installation

Tim and Alejandro were fantastic! They arrived by 10am and let me know they needed access to the attic. They were done by 3pm. They cleaned up after themselves. Installed the system to code. Tim explained how it all works. The guys were friendly and they were excited for us to have our solar installed. Went an extra step with the meter by adding tape to let us know when the meter gets switched out. Thank you!!! A1A Solar has been a very good experience.

Update to previous review (10/3/22)

After nearly a year, my system is finally working as advertised. During this past year Generac identified that one of their solar panel parts was defective and needed to be replaced. Those replacement parts were finally made available and installed in my system in early December. I cannot fault A1A Solar for installing the faulty parts so I am changing the previous rating to 3-stars. IF you plan to go solar, which I still believe in, and you contract with this company I have a couple of recommendations. First, be proactive in learning about the system you order and don't be afraid to contact the manufacturer (in my case Generac) with questions. If you have an issue with your system, stay in touch with the contractor until it is resolved. The company owes you that until the system operates as advertised. A1A still needs to work on their communication with the customer.

Terrible Experience

Just got done with their "salesperson" "Jayson" who knew nothing about solar and wasted my time. Turns out he was in the Philippines. This "local" company could only provide a salesperson who they contract with on the other side of the plant. The presentation was copied from other solar proposals I had received. It was clear this company is not serious.

Additional power and storage in S Georgia

First - A1A Solar did a great job! Project description: This was a rather complex project. It involved 3 phases: - Moving of 33 existing solar panels (originally from a different installer) from the garage roof to the roof of the main house, - Re-construction of major parts of the garage roof (not solar related), - Installation of 15 additional solar panels on the newly built garage roof, and 2 additional Tesla PowerWalls. This was not your every-day install. Still, they worked with me through the planning process and I was confident this will be a success. The planning started in February 2022, and after permitting and scheduling, the 1st phase started in May. The crew showed up with 3 trucks and a lift, and quickly went to work. It took them 3 1/2 days to move 33 existing panels from the garage roof to the roof of the main house. Even though the system was originally installed by someone else, they brought it back to live. Two inverters did not respond - but the crew came back and fixed a faulty connection. The garage roof reconstruction took place in June / July, by a 3rd party. The new install happened in August and took 3 days, plus a few hours re-work since some electrical parts were not immediately available. The system went live yesterday and is working perfectly. The crew came across as very competent and professional; and they really seem to be enthusiastic about Solar! The work was of top quality. I would recommend A1A Solar any time. Also, if something should go wrong, I'm confident A1A Solar will come out and fix things quickly. So I want to say thanks to Sean for planning and consulting, and especially to the install crew Bobby, Tim, Warren, Ben and Josh for a job well done. Also, last not lease I want to thank Angie from billing for prompt responses, and Sierra from planning and scheduling, for being patient with me. Thanks again, all the best, Mike

A1A Customer Service is top notch

I got a request for some solar panel documents from my Home Owner's Insurance provider, and I reached out to A1A Solar Customer support for assistance with tracking down the documents. Virginia Jada was the permit specialist who helped me out, and she did a fantastic job. Virginia got me all of the documents that I needed, and even helped me to submit a transfer document that I didn't know about. With Customer Service as good as Virginia Jada's I would happily go to A1A Solar with all of my solar panel energy related needs. Thanks for all of your help Virginia, keep up the amazing work!!

Great Solar Company that values customer service & quality

They sent over a crew(Warren Davis, Ben Best, Josh Clark, Nate & Tim S.) that were very knowledgeable & passionate about the work that they do. All throughout the install, they always took that extra step to make sure their work look clean. For example, when they had to run an electrical conduit from my 2nd story roof to my electrical box below, they made sure to run it right beside the rain gutter opposite the street to make sure people from the road do not see the conduit running down the wall to give a cleaner look. They did little things like this all throughout the installation always careful to take the aesthetics into consideration even if they had to go that extra step. I also cannot say enough about the team(Cliff Little, Ellen Castle, Sierra Branch, and Virginia Jada), that worked behind the desk, always keeping me updated and were quick to address any request I made or concerns I had. Last but not least, I would like to thank the owner himself (Mr. Pete Wilking; who I mistook for a solar salesman.....lol! Sorry about that) for coming out to my home to make sure the job was done correctly.

A1A has been amazing during this install process. Great communication through emails and calls when needed. They answered every question I had. Bobby Sligh and Ben Best have gone above and beyond. Everything was installed the way I wanted. Super clean, no roof penetrations just the tracks. Amazing work. Definitely coming back to them for any upgrades to the system.
