512 Solar

I initially had my solar system installed by another company, and the workmanship and overall design were far from efficient. The installation required unnecessary materials, lacked proper planning, and resulted in ongoing performance issues. After months of unresolved concerns and repeated discussions dating back to April of last year, I remained dissatisfied with both the system and the service I received. I contacted JP for a second opinion, and he arrived within a week to evaluate the setup. He identified several clear opportunities to improve efficiency and provided a straightforward plan to correct the issues. Within two weeks, Jason was onsite implementing the recommended upgrades. Although it took a few days to fully optimize the system, the improvement was immediate and significant. For the first time since purchasing my solar system, I am genuinely satisfied with its performance. JP and Jason delivered the level of expertise, professionalism, and follow‑through that the original installer failed to provide.

512 Solar has been the best solar company I’ve worked with since Forever Freedom filed Chapter 11 and left us without support or warranty. 512 Solar stepped in, diagnosed the issues, coordinated directly with the manufacturer, and got my system fully operational again. Their communication has been excellent throughout the entire process. I highly recommend their services. Thank you, Justin, for all the assistance.

Great upgrade!! Wonderful team to work with. We were replacing a roof, with a 12 year old system. 512 never pushed features or upgrades, yet we quickly realized that new tech and current rebates made it a good time to double production while making the system smaller with a better arrangement on the roof. Now plenty of production to fill our EV. Delighted to work with such a team of professionals

We had our solar panels, with a couple of Powerwalls installed 17 months ago and it was a great experience with 512Solar. They were professional, highly knowledgeable, and well-communicated from start to finish. Everything was done on time, and the system has performed exactly as expected. We had a failure showing up on the Tesla app a couple of weeks ago. They diagnosed a DC ground fault and tracked down the root cause (a couple of MCI2s and an MC4 connector), fixed everything, and made sure the system was fully operational again. Prompt, transparent, and thorough service like that is what I had read a lot of reviews on when researching who to trust our investment with. It’s clear they stand behind their work. Great experience and I would highly recommend JB, Austin, Marco and the rest of the team.

512 Solar was AWESOME! I got a plug-in hybrid car in December that was taking me 16 hours to fully charge, which was way too long. I decided I needed to install a Level 2 Charger. After looking around online, I stumbled across 512 Solar on a Reddit thread. They were just fabulous! Austin from 512 Solar was super helpful with telling me exactly what I needed to give to them for the initial quote (I am clueless on electrical/house stuff) and walking me through the process/what to expect as well as answering my questions and my landlord's questions thoroughly and promptly. I paid them the deposit on Thursday, ordered my Level 2 charger, and had everything installed by 512 Solar on the following Tuesday. 512 Solar made sure to give me everything I needed to submit my rebate for the City of Austin EV program. My Level 2 charger now charges my car fully in 4.5 hours. 512 Solar did a great job and were very reasonably priced! Use them if you need to install a Level 2 Charger! You won't regret it it!

Excellent and helpful company.

We had a solar electrical system installed in 2009 by Standard Renewable Energy (SRE). It stopped working. We called SRE and another company here in Houston many times. No response. JP came out and diagnosed our problem (faulty inverter, which is still under warranty) and is helping us get it fixed. Recommended!

Awesome Company

After interviewing 4 solar companies, we were so impressed with Jason of 512 Solar, we knew he was the one we wanted to work with. We first met Jason the week of Thanksgiving. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and genuine. He thoroughly answered all our questions and responded to our calls and emails in a very timely fashion. Once we decided on the type and size of system, the job was completed within the timeline promised. The install crew took care of everything and cleaned up completely. PEC inspected the system and we were producing by the end of December. We love the monitoring system that allows us to track various loads in the house. Jason has kept in touch since the job was finished. We really appreciate all he did to expedite the install and the continuing support. I highly recommend 512 Solar.
