We chose American Sentry Solar after interviewing a couple of companies, including a 'big name' in the solar business, because they were by far the most professional and because their bid included some roofing work needed for the installation. We were already considering a system with micro inverters which was their recommendation, and we are super happy with our choice. Because we installed 55 panels on a house with a complex roof design our install took several days. I stayed around to watch them work, and was impressed by the skill of the crew who took time to explain every stage of the installation process. American Sentry Solar was very efficient with processing paper work for permits, inspections and arrangin with PEPCO to install a net meter. Our contract was signed mid December, our install started mid January, and we went live mid February. The free lifetime web based monitoring that came with our system provides great insight into how the system operates, and how the south and southwest sections of our array behave during the day. Although its winter, and often cloudy we have generated over 750 kWh in just over two weeks. We expext to be close to net neutral once it warms up, we turn off our heat pumps, and the days get longer.... read more
